The flight crew members were all helpful and friendly and I enjoyed the drink (especially suco de maracuja) and snack offerings. As I spoke only limited Portuguese, I greatly appreciated the attempts made by the ground staff and flight crew to communicate with me, both in English and via hand gestures. I am certain that no domestic airline would be so helpful to non-English speakers in the USA!"
Nadelen: "I realize Azul cannot help being stuck in Terminal 2, but it's not the most comfortable place to wait for a flight. Also, after I walked through the gate, several boarding flights merged confusingly in a single passageway with exits to multiple planes and many people got lost and ended up (temporarily!) on the wrong airplane, despite heroic attempts by the ground crew to direct passenger traffic. There must be a better method than having everyone follow colored lines to the planes - it wasn't working!"

It was more the fault of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and the entire experience was a circus.

Voordelen: "I really liked the "About my flight" application on the viewing screens because it always gave me an idea of what we were flying over and how much longer we woulld be in the air. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised that I could have wine with dinner or any time the attendants offered beveragess. The attendants were always professional and helpful. They all were fluent in English as well as several other languages. It was a nice touch when the attendant wore white gloves when he or she was collecting passengers' trash after meals and/or beverage service. I loved the cheese that was served at dinner. The warm croissants served at breakfast were a very nice touch."
Nadelen: "Due to turbulence, I could not get out of my seat as much on the return flight, so I did have some swelling in my feet."

Nadelen: "I did not like the way Beatice of Swiss Air in Zurich completely rushed me at the gate without trying to talk to Mr. Mueller at checkin 1. I told her that He had starte an ardious process in recovering my luggage. She visibly tried to rush me through the process and told me there was othing that could be done. It felt really ugly to be lied to right to my face, when she diditn try to connect with someone from her own staff who had tried alot of heard to work to help me rectify the luggage question. For all we know, my luggage was in Zuruch, and her actions impeded the luggage from getting onto my plane."

Voordelen: "The flight was delayed several times due to bad weather in Tampa. The gate agent was good at explaining the problem and said it was the FAA that had put a ground stop in place. It was nice to be informed about what was going on."

Voordelen: "How does one describe spending 10+ hours in a metal tube approximately 18 feet wide at 30,000 feet with 300 of your closest friends breathing the same air while having the seat in front of you pushed back so you cannot adequately see the passenger monitor because it's too close to focus on as your knees are under your chin? Flying in "steerage" is not comfortable as humans get larger and airplane seats get squeezed smaller. Please unsqueeze! Cabin crew members were excellent. Other than that, Europe was great!"

Voordelen: "On the fight back I had enough space; good service; fine food. Great trip. On the way to Amsterdam, I sat next to a very overweight woman and her body hung over my seat. I couldn't move around enough and I ended up with a trigger point problem which immobilized me for 3 days and kept me from sleeping at night. It was very disappointing, since this was a family visit trip."

She was rude and unprofessional. Taking off and landing was a little rough. Entertainment on the plane was limited and a little outdated."

Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

In-plane staff was not at all helpful with our desire to get seats on the outside rows of our section."

Free hot towel given after take off, free pillow and blanket, a meal served with out a fee. Flight attendants make up and hair professionally styled, flight attendants offering to place bags in overhead bins. Customs forms handed out an hour into the flight not the last 30 minutes."

Nadelen: "The original flight was booked to dec 11th 2016 at 10:20am. On dex 9th at about 10pm i got a text message and email telling that my flight was rescheduled and asking me to call Avianca. So i did, and my new flight was booked to leave 2:18pm, arriving in Salvador at night. I asked for options, they offered me a flight at 6am and another at 8:30 am. I said that i would talk to my party and return the call, and we choose the 8:30 flight. When i called back, they said this flight had only 3 seats (we were a party of 6 adt, 1 chd and 2 inf). In the avianca site they were offering the flight for the whole party, but, of course, with a higher rate that i paid in june. The person said she coulndt book it for me, and i should call the SAC (client service) to try to solve the problem. I called the SAC and after 40min in the phone they were able to put everybody on the desired flight. I felt that they were trying to rebook us on a cheaper flight, letting the seats with highest fares to be sold to someone else. Since it was their fault the flight changing, i think it was a bad experience in my first flight with Avianca. Probably will avoid them in the future."

Nadelen: "The plane docked away from the bridge, a bus had to take us to the terminal. It was raining and the staircase was delayed for arrival to the plane. Then the bus was delayed also. It took a while to reach the terminal."
Nadelen: "No pude hacer check in porque movieron mi reservación y casi pierdo el vuelo por un problema en la misma línea aérea. No supieron darme una pronta solución."
Voordelen: "The comfort of aircraft was very good and the boarding process was smooth."
Nadelen: "Other customers don't seem to care about other passengers. No common courtesy. I had the gentleman behind me continuously kick my seat even after telling him to stop. Lack of respect is the reason I didn't rate my experience higher."

Lufthansa is always late... better on our way back to Munich & Amsterdam. Outbound was a painful experience. Will consider to use them in the future.

Nadelen: "We booked our plane reservations through Kayak . My sister booked my reservation along with hers at the same time. Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

Nadelen: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Nadelen: "Checked online from row 21 to 6. Got a new ticket whilst boarding to 25: last row. Explanation...otherwise the plane was not able to go in the air...absolute bullshit. With my weight and of my fellow members better to let us in the front.. Row 6 was given to a miles & more client..."

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."
Voordelen: "Crew was beyond standard. Very nice and friendly and always accommodating."
