The initial leg of my journey from Glasgow to London Heathrow via British Airways was good and parts of it were excellent. However, Heathrow turned out to be a nightmare exactly like what we're seeing in the media. Area hotels are advising guests to allow 4 hours at the airport before ALL flights. The problems are too numerous to list here. Hopefully they will be able to sort it out in the near future. American Airlines which partners with British Airways was some of the worst customer service I've seen in a while. They closed the gate early despite the fact airport staff tried to tell them multiple passengers were delayed at no fault of their own. They turned a deaf ear and packed the flight with standbys. Of course, then they held the flight on the tarmac while they removed all the luggage from those of us left behind. We were sent to the desk to rebook. American Airlines closed their stations a couple hours later with dozens still waiting and walked away. British Airways stayed and did everything possible to take care of us. After 7 1/2 hours, I was finally able to get a flight out 3 days later. Now I'm cooling my heels in an airport hotel (thanks to BA). I would love to see London, but I'm just to worn out from negotiating this chaos. If I were grading this it would be British Airways (A) and American Airlines (D-). In the summer of 2022, TRAVELER BEWARE!!

The American Airlines employees at check-in were the worst airport employees I have ever experienced. The line to check in took over 40 minutes because they were standing around talking- to the point multiple customers (not even us) complained. Overbooked the flight we were getting on so they deleted our seat reservations (that we had receipts printed out for) and said they weren’t in the “system” but we could try for random seat assignments at the gate. Argued with us that we should take the $1000 to stay an extra night and get on a different flight since we “didn’t have seats anyway). Hassled us making us put our carry on bags in the metal bins repeatedly until they fit exactly with nothing hanging out (have never had issues with the carry on bags we brought and they didn’t make anyone else do this). Put one member of the group through “random” security check. By the time we made it to the gate (got to the airport 2 hours early and would have been earlier had there not been a major car accident on the route to the airport), boarding was almost over and we got assigned random seats not together.

Third "virtual" flight on the return journey using cancelled tickets.

I would've liked to be informed of the cancellation of the original flight instead of arriving very early in the morning and finding out, then another hour on the phone holding for British Airways and a two day journey home...not okay. That extra two days cost up nearly 500 USD in additional expenses, including another covid test and two nights lodging. We got lucky that British Airways even helped us...they almost referred us back to Kayak for rebooking, but since the cancellation happened less than 24 hours from the flight they rebooked us. Again, no notification from Kayak or the carrier about the flight...not okay. In the future, I probably book through Costco travel or direct with the carrier. It was unpleasant to learn through a negative experience that Kayak dropped the ball on this one.

Voordelen: "Good for leg room and nice and the seats are comfy and wide too. Still get a free drink and snack on this flight and the service was friendly and efficient throughout. We were very quick to board and flight landed early, so very happy."
Nadelen: "I'm guessing this plane was stopping in EDI for the night, so it parked way, way away from the terminal, so we had an extra 15 minutes none of us had been expecting to wait for the bus and transfer."

I was told it was because the airplane was "very old" which whilst it may be true it is not something I particularly want to hear. I was also told that as the flight was full I could only move seats if someone wanted to swap. I'm not sure if the flight attendant was expecting me to stand up and make a public request?!"

Nadelen: "The boarding started late (30 min before supposed departure), took much longer than expected because we needed to use the bus. Then we waited another hour on the tarmac. We were told it would be only a few minutes. Then we were told we would make up for the lost time, but that wasn't true and an additional half hour was lost on a holding pattern at LHR. We missed our connection. The instructions were unclear on what to do (contradiction between flight attendants and ground crew). By the time we picked up new boarding passes, we had already missed that flight as well and had to go to the customer service, which took another 45 min. Flight entertainment didn't work the first hour. There was a high pitched beeping sound during the whole flight (not the regular airplane noise)."

Nadelen: "The aircraft was old. The seats in WT+ were therefore old and not very spacious. . The cabin crew seemed to be on a mission to save food and drink by not asking the passengers if they wanted anything. They juat walked up the aisles and you had to stop them. For a 10.5 hour flight we got one meal, a tiny snack box and one pizza snack thing. The inflight entertainmwnt was dreadful. 5 inch screens. All in all i would not be paying again for an "upgrade" to WT+."
Nadelen: "London was fogged in had had to wait 1:45 on the plane before it left, fortunately we had a 4 hour layover in London, so we didn’t loose our conection ."

Nadelen: "After first class boarded, the remainder of the passengers lined up all at once. As it was a large plane, there were two entrances and it was hard for them to keep up and direct us to the proper door. It was a minot issue."
Nadelen: "Customer service was terrible. The flight was overbooked and everyone was treating me as if it were MY fault the plane was oversold and I didn't have a seat. No apologies, no sympathy. It was as if they were doing me a favor by trying to get me on the flight. I had to wait it 4 long lines to get it taken care of and the people working the floor of the check-in area kept directing me to the wrong places. Purchasing a plane ticket on your airline for a specific should be enough to guarantee a seat on a plane. It's absurd that I spent 900 for a ticket and that doesn't guarantee me that I'll be on the flight."
Voordelen: "The crew was pleasant/friendly, but I'm not sure if one of the male flight attendants was extra friendly because the girl next to me was cute, I guess I got lucky and benefitted from that and got excellent service"
Nadelen: "There were no USB ports to charge my phone... the movie selection was average, and the entertainment system was a little old, the touch screen didn't work. Being from America, the drink can 150ml is TINY and I was always thirsty."
Nadelen: "Service at CheckIn was the worst I've ever received. The staff exuded no compassion, empathy or interest in trying to help me. I had to buy an extra checked bag and instead of giving my options clearly, they gave me a run around (do it online, call our customer service, refund your ticket at our service desk - all false). I did not appreciate that lack of competence or interest and as such will not be transacting business with Norwegian again. Furthermore, the crew on the airplane did not check on me or my row of passengers the entire flight. No water, no cookies, nothing! This was the worst display of airline service I ever seen!"

Nadelen: "Wifi was so slow i gave up on it and just watched a movie. I flew 10 hours, nothing complimentary. Greedy"
Voordelen: "I made the mistake to travel with Norwegian, they charged my compact cabin baggage $80 claiming that it met the size requirements but weight exceeded ( never happened with any airline before, I have the bag for 8 years). On the way in the seats had too small leg room so I paid another $70 for a larg"
Nadelen: "Don't fly with Norwegian"
Voordelen: "WORST STAFF EVER. Incredibly rude and not helpful. DO NOT FLY."

Nadelen: "The flight to Fort Lauderdale was delayed more than one hour and no information about landing was provided at Fort Lauderdale Airport."
Nadelen: "It takes a long time to get your luggage. Traveling with a child is really a challenge"
Nadelen: "We were traveling with 1.5 year old child and we had to leave our stroller at the entrance to the gate and got it back with the rest of the luggage, needless to say we had to carry our child all the way to the plane and then to the baggage claim. Why can't it be taken and given back at the entrance."
Voordelen: "Nothing, this was the worst experience ever."
Nadelen: "1) We were removed from business class. 2) no blankets and no pillow (extremely cold) 3) no entertainment 4) no vegetarian food We paid for business btw."

Nadelen: "Weinig plaats maar dan zeer weinig plaats. Geen kussentje geen deken zonder extra te betalen en het was onaangenaam koud in het vliegtuig ga zeker niet zonder pull aan boord zelfs al staat de ventilatie uit nog is de koude storend"
Voordelen: "Service was fine but nothing stood out in particular. We liked the newer Dreamliner."
Nadelen: "Seat (economy) not comfortable. Less room that most other aircrafts in the same class. Seats seemed narrow. With all the extra charges, I would not consider Norwegian to be a ‘budget’ or low cost airline. In the end we paid the same, if not more, for a comparable ‘non-low cost’ airline."
Voordelen: "We landed in time."
Nadelen: "my group started boarding only minutes before scheduled departure time. Norwegian charges for everything including use of blankets and headphones and every drink, even water. This seemed extreme in an international flight that was 12 hours long."
Voordelen: "Crew was great as were the Premium seating. On the whole I thought Norwegian was a good value and pleasant flying."
Nadelen: "For a while there was only one person to handle everyone checking in, later there were three at most for the whole plane. We were also told to throw away the baggage tags printed by the kiosk for new ones from the attendant. So why put you through lining up for kiosk check in?"
Voordelen: "The seats were comfortable, and I like the large windows with the tinted glass."
Nadelen: "The boarding procedure could be better organized. Also, I don't like the idea that even water has to be purchased with a credit card."
Voordelen: "We paid for an upgrade for our return trip after being uncomfortable in economy. Enjoyed the comforts, made the 8 hour flight relaxing."
Nadelen: "Other than for food service the crew ignored us. The foot rest was to short for my 5’10” frame."
Voordelen: "Beautiful new plane, decently comfortable and spacious seats for economy. In air movie selection solid - can’t go wrong with dumb and dimber EVER"
Nadelen: "No WIFI on long flights (which likely have business travelers traveling in the middle of a business day) is a very big No-No in 2019. Especially on a brand new planes there is no excuse, the pre ordering of food on the flight is a fine idea just ensure the all interfaces to book the flight makes this VERY clear that’s required."

Really? Also, I don’t understand why they promote larger windows with dimming functions if the are going to override the controls. While I understand being courteous to other in the plane who might be sleeping, what good is ordering a window seat if the window is put and left in a darkened state the entire flight? An above the clouds sunset opportunity missed. Annoying!!!"

Nadelen: "15/9/2018 Amsterdam - NYC 1. Baggage check only opened two hours before departure so it was an hour wait to check a bag 2. Flight left 80 minutes late 3. Flight sat on tarmac at JFK for 50 minutes waiting for a gate because we arrived late"
Voordelen: "Flight was smooth, seats were comfortable with more than the usual leg room. TV screens were large and free. Overall it was a great flight."
Nadelen: "My wife and i paid the minimum to board so of course we didn't expect any amenities. But i would think that coffee and especially water would be complimentary anywhere. We were fine without food but I mean how do you have an 8 hour flight and not offer water to passengers unless they request to pay for it."
Nadelen: "They didn't even serve water in a 7 hour flight if you didn't order a meal."
Voordelen: "Movies were free and food. Food was fine."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed, but no information came from Norwegian. They changed the gate 3 times with a marching of hundreds of people including the flight attendants. Still no information. Three hours after the flight was to take off, we heard that we would be "next", whatever that means. Finally, a plane came to the original gate and we boarded. Then we were told that there was a technical problem with the aircraft. We waited 45 minutes on the plane at the gate. Then we were told to exit the aircraft so that they could "change a flat tire on the aircraft." I kid you not, a flat tire. So as we were exiting, they told us to STAY on the aircraft as they fix the flat tire. We waited another TWO HOURS (three hours in total on the aircraft, seven hours in total late). We arrived nearly EIGHT HOURS LATE in Copenhagen. I understand that things go wrong, but the LACK OF COMMUNICATION by Norwegian Airlines to the hundreds of confused customers is UNACCEPTABLE."

Nadelen: "2 crew members only moderately engaged and polite (others fine); unprofessional--I interrupted a back rub one was giving another and caught the part of the conversation where one asked the other--"so you date both men and women?"; zero drinks or food were part of the price; to board, had to go down a huge flight of stairs, take a shuttle, then go up stairs to get on the plane. Since I've never had to do that before, I wasn't expecting it, and oversused an injured knee resulting in having to use a wheelchair the rest of the trip"
Voordelen: "The movies helped distract me from how cold, parched and starving I was."
Nadelen: "LAX to Barcelona with no complimentary water or snacks?? So bad for your health. This level of horrible bare bones service goes beyond inconvenient and is simply bad for your health."

Nadelen: "Everything. Customer service. Plane switched. Paid for seat reservations and that wasn't honored."
Voordelen: "Comfortable seats."
Nadelen: "I checked 1bag. They lost it. They can’t find it. That’s spoiling the trip."
Voordelen: "They waited so long before notifying passengers of the problem"
Nadelen: "No refreshments were provided to a whole passenger group while they waited in a line to find out what to do and at the end things were still not resolved"

Nadelen: "That we were there 50 minutes before departure and it was not clear that we had to be there an hour before departure. It’s not that we didn’t plan to be earlier (we did) but our Uber driver took an awful route and turned a 50 minute drive into 2 hours. Given there was nothing else we could do, we would have appreciated a little more leniency or at least more clarity on the hour rule."

Nadelen: "The plane was freezing With three people sitting together, it is definitely cramped. Staff aren’t as friendly."
Voordelen: "Plenty of movies on the airline, dreamliner plane."
Nadelen: "Flight was four hours late, we missed the connection to from arlanda to Bangkok. Flight is twenty hours away and since my wife has a Thai passport we are stranded inside of the terminal for the entire time. Airline didn't help with this issue. Also, $260 for two underweight checked bags is ridiculous."
Voordelen: "New plane with good entertainment system"
Nadelen: "Worse cabin crew I’ve seen on any airline Extremely unfriendly and short with passengers Same on outbound flight. For this reason will never use that airline again."

Nadelen: "I will not fly this airline again if I can help it. $3 for a bottle of water? Buy a blanket? I fly international flights frequently...I have never experienced such poor service on any other airlines. The crew was untrained and some even dancing in the back of the plane. I would not want to trust my life to such people if there was an emergency on board."
Nadelen: "I was running late for my flight home to Dublin I had 40 minutes until the flight was due to take off. The guy on check in was extremely rude and sent me off in an awful panic to my gate. It was an emotional parting with my partner as I won't see him again for a few months and this very rude employee didn't help at all This was my second flight with Norwegian in the space of a few weeks and I could very well be a regular flyer as my partner is in Sweden for the foreseeable future. This guy gave an awful representation of your airline. People get delayed these things happen he wasnt one bit nice about it and I was very unhappy how I was treated"
Voordelen: "The Dreamliner is a decent plane. Food was okay for airplane food."
Nadelen: "Temperature control is wacky - too hot then too cold, entertainment never seems to change or update"
Voordelen: "The flight was very smooth, the crew was friendly, the food was good. I have no complaints."

Voordelen: "Family in front of me had a poorly behaved child. The stewardess didn't seem to care but once I informed her the child had poured soda all over my luggage she apologized and gladly told them to keep the child in his seat."

Voordelen: "This flight was so much better than Economy for not much more money. We had plenty of room, footrests, reclining seats, and complementary blankets, food, and drinks. I really applaud Norwegian for making international travel bearable. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely fly Norwegian again."
Nadelen: "It's nice to get free meals, although they are the dreadful TV dinners of the airline past. However, the bar is now so low that we are grateful for them. Boarding was chaotic and crowded. The flight was delayed two hours. Access to the premier lounges was a wonderful perk. We were able to relax and charge our devices away from the crowded airport terminal main area. Why random people were singled out for extra security checks, when we had already gone through the main security check, was a mystery no one bothered to explain. Nadelen: "My young daughter was denied a ticketed seat on an 11:30 Norwegian air flight to Oslo, being told that her 10:33 arrival at the gate -- due to multiple protracted delays on earlier connecting flights to get her to the gate -- made her "too late" and the computers would not permit the gate agent to get her on board no matter how much extra she was willing to pay. She was simply told to get the next flight 24 hours later, killing 15% of her vacation. The gate agent said to my hysterical child that she was so sorry for the hours lost in prior connecting flight delays and recognized the plane my daughter was to be on was still one hour from pushback from the gate, but she couldn't overcome the computers having closed out the flight at precisely 60 minutes before scheduled departure so there was nothing a human could do. This is the epitome of machines gone crazy!!"

It is a low cost airline so, like all is them it is more of a flying convenience store than anything else but for short flights you know what you have and it is fine

Delayed departure and boarding due to airport operations, not fully Wizzair's fault. But considering of already standing 3 hours for security check, standing another 40 minutes for boarding was killing my legs.

I like your spacious seat where you can sit comfortably and stretch your feet. For some passengers like me I most often prefer my wife to sit by me which would have not been possible but for a kind fellow passenger who offered her seat and ato to wise Waitress who convinced her. The Pilots of W6 4503 on 23rd of August 2017 is a credit to your company as they landed without the extra hard braking you normally get. Those pilots both of them should teach the other pilots's of your company how both of the pilots did it, and even teach other airline pilots the same IT WAS A VERY SMOOTH LANDING. Give the pilot's a commendation or an award as I would like those pilot's on any of my flights I have in the future. You can let them know it was me that told you to credit them in the highest award they can get please. Let their bosses, and company owners know this as well. So maybe if you call them in the office for something PLEASE CREDIT THEM for the PERFECT LANDING MORE THAN A CREDIT TO YOUR COMPANY as I put that ion bold to enforsize a perfect landing."
Nadelen: "I was in 24B middle seat which was very cramped as the seat too small and back of seat too low, knee area not enough, no chance of getting to sleep as you cannot get comfortable enough as you cannot even sleep on the tray, kids screaming all around me, people behind me kept kicking moving my seat, people in front of me too loud Bulgarian's. At Varna airport me and others queued up in check in 2 and 3 patiently, and after about 20 minutes queuing two people jumped the queue in check in 1 as the second guy I had to tell him we have been waiting you cannot jump the queue and to go to the back of the queue, and a guy walked straight into check in 1 before check in 2 and 3 was opened and got his bag done, and a big group of people with prams etc was not even in check in lane 1 where they was sorted out well before us queuing as they just turned up and got there bag etc slips on the prams etc. A lot of the information on board was in Bulgarian and not in English only a very small thing NOT TO BLAME THE PLANE STAFF in any way."

I was abroad so chasing up details I should have been provided with / were never told that I should have, were not on the top of my to do list. I only found out that I had to check in online and that I hadn't been provided with these details when I arrived at the airport. I spent 30 minutes on hold before the problem was rectified and I was given my online check in details but it was now top late to check in online (by 5 minutes ). The flight was delayed due to a number of things - a late arrival, people being let onto the plane slowly, people not sitting down and allowing the plane to taxi and leave. This had a knock on effect of making the plane land late and for me to miss my connection (train) so basically through last minute.com not providing me with the correct details regarding the flight and the flight then being delayed it tripled my whole journey back home."

I missed the flight due to the stupid handling of long queue at eindhoven airport

Flight boarded very late and then flight took off over 2hrs late. No food and drinks provided at airport despite law. Then before landing in Berlin, crew announced that the flight was so delayed that the airport was closed for landings and flight was diverted to Hanover. Flight crew stated over the PA that buses would be waiting at airport to take passengers to Berlin. In fact, no buses or help was provided and passengers were left looking for their own way to Berlin at 1am, when there were very few options Bad bad bad conduct

Niets is leuk aan Ryanair en alles kan veel beter. Anderhalf uur vertraging terwijl we al in het vliegtuig zaten. Glaasje water?! Ryanair geeft niets weg, ook geen glaasje water bij een lange vertraging. Dit was eens maar nooit meer Ryanair

I was charged £45.99 for not booking priority baggage. All I had was one cabin bag. This error should have been flagged up prior to us boarding I felt aggrieved, not taken care off. Just before boarding to be stopped with baggage. Please make sure you tick priority baggage for any hand luggage/cabin bag 10kg.

Nadelen: "Paying for hand luggage plus the then obligatory and unnecessary early boarding. having to pay to sit next to my children The warm cold drinks"
Nadelen: "Flight didn’t leave until about 11 as boardinf didn’t start until after 10 so we arrived in Manchester at midnight."
Nadelen: "2 x geboekt met ryanair en 2 maal met veel vertraging"
Nadelen: "Die low cost is geen low cost meer als je een stoel moet betalen, priority moet betalen of je koffer vliegt in de ruimte onder vliegtuig en als je maar 10kg gratis mag meenemen voor 3 weken is dat pauver. Dus de volgende keer gewone lijn vlucht even duur meer confort."
Nadelen: "2 hours delay"
Nadelen: "Door stakingen zaten we meer dan 5h vast aan de luchthaven. Niemand wist van iets, het was chaos. Een duidelijke communicatie had leuk geweest, niet alleen voor ons maar ook voor het personeel van Ryanair zelf"
Nadelen: "De bagage normen"
Voordelen: "Eigenlijk niets speciaals was leuk."
Nadelen: "Dat we een uur vertraging hadden voor we vertrokken, en er voor, tijdens en na de vlucht niets over gezegd is. Pas na landen bleek door op te zoeken op internet dat het aan de Franse Verkeersleiders lag. WAAROM VERTELLEN ZE DAT NIET!"
Nadelen: "Veel onduidelijk bij het afgeven van de bagage! Bleek dan dat ik maar alleen voor de heen vlucht de bagage betaald had en moest opnieuw naar de balie en nogmaals 50 euro betalen voor de koffer. Dus in totaal 100 euro voor het transport van 1 koffer van 17 kg en dat vind ik overdreven! Bovendien vond het personeel onvriendelijk hij de incheck!"
Voordelen: "niets"
Nadelen: "iets meer dan een uur vertraging, waardoor ik meer eten en drinken moet kopen voor mn vrouw en ik. het verblijf op een luchthaven is erg duur zoals u wel weet. daarna was de snelweg naar Tilburg ook erg druk omdat we te laat waren zaten we in de avondspits!! tevens waren alle vloeistoffen ingenomen, omdat het niet duidelijk was aangegeven dat de kleine koffers als cabinebagage werd beschouwd en wel in het ruim gingen, ook deze kosten hebben we moeten maken. erg slecht"
Nadelen: "Didn’t like the solicitations to buy lottery tickets, gifts etc"
Nadelen: "Een uur vertraging en tergend kang wachten in een rij"
Voordelen: "Het boarden verliep vlot en georganiseerd in Malpensa!! Hierin slagen velen helemaal niet. Vroegtijdig geland!"
Voordelen: "I like nothing about Ryanair"
Nadelen: "I read their policy about checking bags four times to make sure I understood. The check in staff was rude and treated me like I was stupid. About half the people in line to check in also had to go to another line to pay the fee to check a bag, and go back in line to check in for the flight. Boarding was a disaster. The inflight service was them asking you to buy perfume. Not worth the cheap ticket - at all!"
Voordelen: "Snel en veilig"
Nadelen: "Alles ok"
Nadelen: "De vlucht was een uur te laat waardoor ik mijn aansluiting heb gemist en uiteindelijk 3 uur te laat op mijn bestemming aankom! Ik ga een klacht indienen bij Ryanair. Daarnaast was mijn koffer kleiner dan anderen in het vliegtuig en werd die van mij als enige in het ruim geplaatst. Je gaat mij niet wijs maken dat iedereen prioriteit tickets heeft gekocht."
Voordelen: "Only option available at the time. I would not have flown Ryanair if there had been any other airline flying the route in the time slot. Actual flight was fine, but the process from booking the flight to gettin aboard was horrible."
Nadelen: "Rayanair made the transaction as difficult, uncertain and unpleasant as they could. From the moment the booking was complete, a series of email demands, warnings and impossible conditions ensured that it was never clear whether we and our baggage would get on the flight. The initial price was unreasonably low and the eventual cost was twice what was quoted but it had to be paid as a series of penalties over several days. The contract staff in Athens were clearly demoralized, embarrassed and apolgetic, but had no flexibility to resolve issues in a reasonable way."
Voordelen: "Prima vlucht. Geen extra’s maar dat kan ook niet voor doe prijs."
