One thing that really surprised me, though, is how much I liked the eggs (on both flights) and what went with the eggs, like the spinach and potatoes and bacon on this flight and the potatoes and sausage (and was there something else?) on the next flight. Kudos for making something that has got to be cheap taste good. Thanks."
Nadelen: "Come to think of it, there was one thing that I didn't particularly like, and that was how the headphones only worked on one side only (there was only audio on one side). At first I thought that maybe I had just gotten bad headphones, but the my next flight was the same: the headphones also only played audio on one side."

Nadelen: "The seating and leg room in economy classic were inadequate. We felt way too confined in our seats and the leg room was a joke. I am only 6' tall and this was unacceptable. We will try to upgrade for the return trip."

Was expecting extra fees, (from reading reviews) but had none. Virgin checked bags all the way through, even though tickets were unrelated (and my online checkin said I would have to recheck baggage for second flight)."
Nadelen: "Seats are small in economy. I was lucky it was not a full flight, so I had two seats. The entertainment system was a. It confusing to manage, but the choices were good. Food was ok; but not worse than would expect."

Voordelen: "Smoothest long flight I’ve ever had. No hassles checking in, boarding or leaving the aircraft. Bags checked through to final destination without any problem. Good employees at the check-in counter and at the boarding gate. Service was good at LAX."
Nadelen: "Cabin service somewhat spotty. I was not served breakfast and had to ask for a meal even though all those sitting around me were served. My wife did not get the coffee she requested even though it was promised twice. Trash accumulated at our seat making use of the tray awkward. I tried to pre-pay for extra luggage on-line before the flight but the web site would not allow me to do so. We paid $100 per extra bag at check-in."

Nadelen: "despite purchasing 'extra legroom' seats, it was still very, very crowded and tight."

Nadelen: "The fact that I was told I would be given a seat at the boarding gate. I got to the airport very early to get a good seat only to be that and was given a very uncomfortable seat where I couldn't stretch my legs well because of a box on the floor situated to my left leg and to make the matter even more annoying my screen was not working which I was forced to take one heavy meant-so-called laptop. And finally cabin crew were lacking serious customer service and when u ask for something they were just so reluctant to deliver as if we were given a free ticket or something. May it be noted that my ticket was not that cheap to be treated in such manner."

Nadelen: "The entre food top was torn, apparently opened before I got it, also there was no salad dressing. ATTN RICHARD BRANSON: Are you concerned for our environment? The head stewardess would not refill my sports water bottle after I asked her nicely, instead she poured water into a cup which she threw away, wasting plastic unnecessarily. I told her I did not like wasting plastic and she appeared to not enjoy what I had to say. This was the same lady who handed me my dinner. Rest of crew was great."

Nadelen: "The wifi did not work at all, and I think I was charged 3 times Landed 30 mins early and then waited an hour for the gate, I get that things happen but we have been on the plane for 11.5 hrs. Figure it out!"

Nadelen: "You lost our luggage. We were able to pick up our luggage after the Sydney flight, but they never made it to Minneapolis. What I don't understand is why we were not able to get boarding passes and seat assignments when we did our check-in in Sydney? Why is that so hard? Also, when we were getting our boarding pass in LAX it was so confusing when it asked for checked bags. Our bags were already on a belt going to who knows where - were we supposed to check "yes"? If we had a boarding pass this would not have been an issue."

Voordelen: "The crew was great with updates. Checking in was a bit confusing though as not all the crew knew what was up. It was a very crowded day so it was bound to be a bit rough. Of my last four flights to London Virgin Atlantic was the best!"

Nadelen: "I did not get the requested meal. I had requested Asian Veg meal. I had reconfirmed that Virgin Atlantic Kiosk at Heathrow airport as well. In flight when I asked cabin crew they said they didn't get any request. I was hungry whole flight. Very bad experience."

Nadelen: "Seating pitch is just not acceptable for 10+ hrs long flight! I am tall (1.92 cm) but there are taller people than me and there is just no way they can sit in economy class seat! That is basically some kind of racism.."

Nadelen: "I had 15 hours layover in Amsterdam so I got me a hotel.one hour after I got to the hotel I got a notification from Kayak app asking me to go get my bag from Schiphol. My bag was supposed to be directly shipped to PDX. I had to leave my hotel back to the airport and spend 2 hours trying to find it only to be told that it was going to PDX. I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Voordelen: "I love the overwhelming positivity exuded by the stallions in business class. Sometimes good things happen to mediocre coffee, others not so lucky!"
Nadelen: "The guy next to me looked like Joel Osteen and his daughter was actually Cardi B. I could feel the existential dread coming from their tray tables. Also, Lemon and Caramel cheesecake? What an awful flavor combination."

Nadelen: "De onbetrouwbare procedures bij KLM en Schiphol. Kan niet online inchecken bij Delta: KLM operated. Alleen op Schiphol. Daar ook niet bij machine. Naar een loket. Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Had to go through security a second time even though it was a connecting flight. Luggage got crushed in a carousel pile-up and took a long time to come out."

Nadelen: "I bought the flight for my mom and she is handicap, the flight got delayed and they wanted to leave her in Frankfurt for 2 days because there was no more flights to the States, in the end they found a flight to Washington DC, she was coming to Miami. She is an old woman who gets lost and I had to order assistance for her, in Washington DC they opened her bags after that they lost the bags, she had medication on them and it was a nightmare to get them back. Im really upset and I don’t think That I’m going to book with this aero line again."

Nadelen: "Standing outside of the plane in the freezing hail, when my clothing was completely unequipped for it"

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were always friendly and attentive. No comparison to some other airlines I have flown with. Food was excellent and entertainment as well. Boarding went great especially when considering that the capacity of the plane is for 440 passengers."

Voordelen: "There were lots of out of the ordinary (read annoying) behavior. Of other passengers and the cabin crew responded patiently and professionally."
Nadelen: "Boarding did not proceed by rows as customary so boarding was a bit chaotic with everyone rushing to the gate. The reclining seats aee an issue. Although comfortable for the ones reclining they are uncomfortable and at times painful ( taller people) and makes watching the screen impossible when fully reclined."

Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."

I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."

Nadelen: "Flight entertainment was not fully functional. Many films would not play. The meal was also particularly bad - all three options that were available (chicken, pasta and vegetarian curry). Flight attendants often seemed very rushed."

Nadelen: "Flights were late for more than 20 min. in both directions. Almost missed connecting flights in both directions. Had to pay for the luggage at the airport (luggage was not included in my ticket). Flight to my final destination was cancelled (first it was delayed, but I did not know that untill I got to the gate) I was diverted to other country (by other company), had to pay for hotel and taxi, missed almost two days of my vacation. On my flight back home, they have lost my luggage... hope they will find it. Now I am trying to get refund for cancelled flight, hotel, taxi, food... I will never fly with this company by my own choice any more!!!"

Muffin for breakfast was mediocre as well -tv was good, but touch screen sometimes doesn't work."

Nadelen: "The flight was long delayed, there was no explanation or any sort of pasenger notification about the delay. When I boarded the overhead luggage was full could not find space to secure my bags. The flight attendant was very rude did not assist me and made me wait. Other people traveling without luggage pushed me to pass by. I was told not very nice things. The flight was overbooked and overall horible experience."

Voordelen: "Great staff, good meals, snacks, and drinks thru the entire flight. Good movie selections."

Nadelen: "Let some people pass first even though they arrived after us and we al had same tickets (or gave preference for no apparent reason), I did tell thecgate agent and he apologized"

Nadelen: "Seat reservation system didn't work ,reserved one seat and got another.Food portions were smallish .No internet over the Atlantic .While the multimedia service was phenomenal I guess there could have been a larger variety and more episodes would have been good as well ."

Voordelen: "I liked the crew on the flight."
Nadelen: "I was frustrated with the staff at the desk in the airport, as we boarded 20miutes late and they did not feel it necessary to give any comment on the situation. Everyone was puzzled as to why we were not boarding, or if there was a problem. Even the screens did not show any change."

Nadelen: "Firstly . The crew were rude ! They did not even response when were calling them from the seat . The only way to talk to them is to find them at the end of the plane ( where they been chating with each other ) Secondly . The amount of snacks was limited where’s in Turkish airlines it’s unlimited and you can choose different sandwiches whereas in Austrian airilines can offer biscuits and Cookies ;( Thirdly . We are living in 21 century and most transatlantic airlines have WiFi ! Where’s Austrian did not have it!"

Nadelen: "only provided ONE meal on an 11 hour flight?? how is that ok? people were very hungry. when i asked about that, the disinterested flight attendants tried to convince me that they had in fact provided “two services” -they apparently think a small packet of crackers counts as dinner. shortly before landing they served a stale ham sandwich (8 hours after the only meal). Food quality was poor as well. during booking there was not an option to indicate dietary requirements either. not impressed with austrian air overall."

Nadelen: "The airplane came late, delaying our trip. Despite that, the luggage would not come, and the claims office was ridiculous (despite of the destination being within 1 hour of drive from the airport, it took us 24 hours of our short vacation trip to deal with luggage). It seems that LH has these problems regularly, and they don't seem to care; I guess we'll have to try someone else to avoid suffering the same problem every time. The employees already knew the luggages are in a mess, and so were the claims. When taking LH, we have to accommodate luggage delay into our planning."

Egyptian error on the other hand had very gracious staff, very comfortable seating, and while the food was average it was better than Austrian air"

Nadelen: "All flight attendants were great except for one tall with very short blonde hair. What a poor attitude! She really ruined my trip. There was not an exchange with her that was friendly and agreeable. When serving drinks a second time, she asked me what would I like to drink and I answered: What do you have? I had not asked the first time drinks were served since I knew I wanted orange juice. he second time, and not wanted to drink the same, I asked: what do you have? and her answer was: "Same as before". I had to let her know I had not asked before and then she proceeded to tell me the different drinks and finally added: My colleague will take care of you. She did not want to serve me. The first incident went I tried to use the bathroom in the back of the plane, she would tell people: "don"t use that one, I need that bathroom for......." ( not sure for what but her tone was so rude,that people walked to the other bathroom embarrassed). All I can say is that everything else was great, including the friendliness of all other crew, but that one ruined the experience. A third time I got up to walk to the bathroom and the seatbelt sign was on, but so it had been for a long time. She prompted me to go back to my seat. All others seem to do their job without been rude, Not sure why this one couldn't. Job stress? Not the passenger's problem. Besides that and the poor movie choices, everything else was great. I think the flight was delayed but to that point everything was going so smooth, I didn't even notice. I will fly Austrian again, and would love to visit Vienna. Please advise how to add the miles of my trip to my account. I booked in Kayak, left to Ohio from Miami running from hurricane Irma, my return from Ohio to Miami was cancelled and I had to embark on that long plan10 day trip without even returning home to Miami to pack. I totally forgot about putting the miles on my account on either ticket counter."

I am not sure what happened but food was barely edible: breakfast eggs were like rubber and Lunch was served with a tiny sandwich. For a 10 hour flight it was not even sufficient"

Nadelen: "I specifically selected three seats for my Wife and two children ages 7 and 5. I did not fly back with them and at check in the three seats were confirmed on a boarding pass printed at their departure location. Upon checking in on the connecting flight in Vienna, the seat assignment had been completely disregarded and three seats located 10+ aisles apart were given to a family traveling together??????? This makes no sense and must be due to booking through a third party. Unacceptable and not worth the $40 per ticket savings."

Voordelen: "Ok food, on-board personnel friendly. Seats could use a tad more space but were ok for economy"
Nadelen: "Boarding personnel in Vienna was very unfriendly and didn't inform us of the need for a new boarding pass during transfer"

Nadelen: "Unfortunately the food was poor quality. You should pay attention to people who eat kosher and have an option available. Eventho I have marked it on my ticket I need kosher food it wasn't available. It is upsetting. It would be a must at every company, regardless of the service to have name tags for the employees!!! Mostly the flight attendants were kind, but as soon as i asked for something it seemed like they don't want to help or work at all. I understand I have traveled on the economy class but shouldn't make a difference how you treat the travelers. The pillows were dirty!!!!! Not only one, because I have asked for more......most of them! It is disgusting! Something must have been wrong with the headphones because the volume was on max when i tried to watch the move but barely could hear anything. I have flew with Lufthansa most of the time and in the future will chose them. Very disappointing that sooo many little things are interrupting a vacation."

Nadelen: "Bad ground crew luggage problems because their web payment service is not working. CS did not reply with solution"

Nadelen: "The flight attendants did a satisfactory job of distributing meals and snacks only if you were awake during their service round. I was resting on one occasion and missed the snack. I was total ignored when I asked for a serving. The boarding process was disorganized and the flight was delayed about an hour. Seat way too small for transatlantic. I weight 62kg and was sitting in a middle seat. Next time I'll have to get an upgrade."

Nadelen: "Crew was not friendly. Attended more to German speaking passengers and were out right rude to those who spoke no German and little English"

Nadelen: "At 11h30 of 14/9 we (HOANG MINH CHAU and NGUYEN SI THANH) were standing at the ticket counter in Vienna and we could not check in due to no payment yet for the ticket and so the reservation has been cancelled. Due to this reason we had have to buy new tickets at the airport ticketing counter. So please sort out your problem with the airline and get back to me. From my bank the payment has been done yet to you. We had have double pay for one trip."

Nadelen: "Thay did not let us in the plane because they changed the name order on the ticket"

Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us.The food was also mediocre."

They would not check us in, and we paid over $700 to change tickets to the next flight. When I complained, I was told to stop being rude or I would get no ticket at all. My mother is 94 years old and we did the best we could given the circumstance."

Nadelen: "1/ the transfer crew needed 50 mn to enter my son’s visa number in her computer and she almost let us miss our flight 2/ we were separated (party of 3, my son being 5 YEARS OLD) - how can they allow a boarding and expecting my 5 year old to do a 10 hours flight BY HIMSELF???? 3/ no kids menus, even if I had ordered it before 4/ food in general was very mediocre 5/ crew was unprofessional and they acted bored"

Nadelen: "Plane was canceled at the last minute with a transfer desk literally assaulted by 100s of people. Only 3 persons on the desk. No lane for sky priority. Queued for nearly two hours before some airport employee gave us instructions to travel by train without any other information or tickets etc. Had to buy my ticket. Couldn’t recuperate my suitcase. Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

Voordelen: "Premium Economy on AF Boeing 777 on this route is not "a little less than Business", but rather "a little more than Economy". Seats, in a 2-4-2 configuration, are hard but OK, as well as the pitch. Good screens and entertainment."
Nadelen: "With the main meal, AF serves only "ordinary wine", This looks and tastes cheap. On the same route and class, Vietnam Airlines serves premium wines, a nice touch that would not cost fortunes to AF! Also, the "Asian" choice for the main course did not look and taste like the real thing."

Voordelen: "Service was much better than on the flight from MIA to CDG 3 weeks before - that was very poor. Entertainment was excellent - great selection of movies. Premium Economy was definitely worth the upgrade cost."
Nadelen: "Boarding was a complete debacle - no control over who went where. Sky Priority line was full of 50 people who weren't Sky Priority, and there was only one person checking passports. The two people at the desk didn't care when I noted this. We were called to the desk in advance of boarding to check passport information. When we got to the check in line, we were taken aside for more passport checking, even though we are US citizens with Trusted Traveler status in the GOES program. We were one of the first people at the departure lounge, and one of the the last to board."

Nadelen: "Each time the space in this planes is smaller. Surprising, it was very hot all the time."

Voordelen: "The boarding process was smooth and the crew friendly. Flight ran on time."
Nadelen: "Unloading the baggage took over 90 minutes, and there was no explanation for the delay and nobody from Air France in sight on the ground in Boston."
