Nadelen: "Had an 11hr delay overall, 3.5hrs sitting on the tarmac only to be told to disembark for dinner at the airport. Then told that we won't be getting on until 7am the next day, but only really started boarding at 8:30am. By the time we were told about the reschedule to the next morning, it was too late to get a hotel room (too far away) and was told that I could use a 'Quiet Lounge' at the airport (which wasn't quiet). While waiting to board at 7am the next day, ground staff told us that they had to change the plane so there would be a further delay. On boarding, we discovered that it was the SAME PLANE."

Next problem was their REFUSAL to give me an aisle seat. I reserved an aisle seat originally, aisle seats were available when I tried to change, but agent REFUSED to accommodate me with either aisle or window. Sat in middle with huge guy next to me. Very uncomfortable. Food was mediocre on this leg. Oh, and late departing AGAIN. Will seriously look for other options on next trip."

Voordelen: "I had to change my flight times three times, and each time they charged me less than 30 dollars (for taxes) and the wait times on the phone were super fast. It was shocking to not lose hundreds of dollars for life happening and needing to change my flight. AND!! I got a free upgrade to premium economy for free!"

Nadelen: "Boarding from a connecting flight wasn't enough time, esp as our duty free purchases were selected for additional screening. Food was identical to what we had been offered on previous flight, and the outbound one."

Nadelen: "Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

They always have a great attitude and this has been consistent with my previous experiences with Lufthansa. The seat and meal were average for premium economy, but the crew more than made up for it."

Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

I was somehow selected by the airplane for an upgrade flying to Bangkok which even elevate all of my experiences above. A great layover program definitely recommended!!!"
Nadelen: "Flight attendants in the economy class could be more attentive and walk around more frequently to check up passengers needs and passing out waters. Need more care to the food sanitation especially open water because I had later diarrhea after drinking it. Could be more organized for lining up different seating zones onto the flight, also seat arrangement is a bit off because bothe times I was asked to switch seats for couples and families w kids."

The Abu Dhabi lounge was large and looked very beautiful with it's appointments, but it was also packed with people (late time of day, I know), noisy with men pacing around shouting on their cell phone headsets, and I wasn't aware of the many services they had like the spa, no one informed me when I checked in. I understand this airport has a lot of business and first class travelers from all countries, but they need to better organize the lounge into designated "quiet areas" for people like me where cell phone use isn't permitted, family areas, where the kids can run around screaming unimpeded like they were, and also direct newcomers into areas where there are less passengers so you can find a place to sit & grab food without wandering around this cavernous place looking for a place of respite"
Nadelen: "The experience of transferring through the Abu Dhabi airport was a little hellish--very hot (I know it's the ME in summer), long lines, I was patted down in a cabin by a security office because of the underwires in my bra, which I was cool with, but my carry on luggage was kept outside the cabin area with my passport and money with people swarming through in lines. Not cool. I've probably never had an international transport experience like this, outside of Cuba where they pulled me aside and interrogated me by agents even though I had a visa and had documentation I was presenting at an education conference at the government state hotel, (and I'm Panamanian American, I speak Spanish, maybe that's why they though I was a scientist/spy). This airport definitely needs more basic staff and better organization. But I'd have to say this wasn't any worse-- other than the heat--- of any US or European transfer experience I've had in the last 10 years. Lounge staff in Abu Dhabi were kind of jerks compared to other airports, they were very stand offish (like they couldn't be bothered to help you, or maybe it was my Canadian/American accent)."

Nadelen: "Seat is not very comfortable. One of the passengers kept window shutter open throughout the flight. Wish they insisted to close so passengers can sleep. A baby was crying for a long time but what can you do?"

Voordelen: "Flight was on time and even landed to JFK an hour early. Flight was not full. Hence, enjoyed free vacant seats to lay down. Landing was nice and smooth"
Nadelen: "Food was horrible. No desert provided. Juice was not natural. It was sugar added juices. USB port was not working to charge my smart phone."

Nadelen: "The transit and security check at Abu Dhabi airport was horrible. The security check was conducted manually and there was an unnecessary bottleneck that was created."

Nadelen: "2. Food choices from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok was Szechwan (spicy chicken), Indian (fish), or vegetarian pasta; no international or Thai food. 2. Entertainment was stopped 30 minutes before arrival."
Nadelen: "my suitcase plastic zipper was opened by someone in the ground staff at IGI Delhi and a few items were stolen. something needs to be done about this because I am sure other passengers are losing a lot more"
Voordelen: "Sichuan Chicken was the best airline food i have ever eaten in an airline. it was quite impressive. Might be too spicy for a lot of people but i love it. I would advise that you add "spicy" next to the name for those who can't handle spicy food."
Nadelen: "Since i was travelling alone, it was asked to change my seat from an aisle seat to a fairly packed seat in the middle of the plane. i did them a favor because a son wanted to sit next to his dad. i really shouldn't have change. the seat was very cramped. like wow, the plane was small. i do not think i would do it again. ever."
Nadelen: "The food was just ok here. And if you sit in the rear it is cold by the time or gets to you."

Nadelen: "I do not like having to take a bus to and fro the terminal in Abu Dhabi. Especially when the connections are short."
Voordelen: "Nothing it was delayed by over an hour and there was ZERO on ground or in air rebooking support or information at all! Ground crew were useless and rude. No one was there to navigate us through a delay that you all caused. We were traveling with 5 children and there was zero sense of urgency. We missed our connecting flight as a result as did the 100+ other passengers on this flight. How could BA not notify it’s partner AA to delay the connecting transatlantic flight as a result of its 1hr long delays? Horrid!"

Nadelen: "British Airways charge you for water. However the flight attendant did her best and brought me a glass of water. It is the first time that water is not courtesy form an airline."

Voordelen: "Given that this flight, like just about every other BA9 flight for the past week, was a delayed departure, this flight delayed 3 hours, it is difficult to say that this was a good flight. The flight was full, and some business class passengers moved to economy class, with some economy passengers being removed from the flight to free up essential "rest areas" for the crew."
Nadelen: "Whilst I understand that the planes make no money sitting on the tarmac, maybe the schedule needs tweaking to permit a little more time for maintenance?"
Voordelen: "The seat was awful. Narrow with little leg room , hard on the backside, minimal recline."
Nadelen: "See above"

Nadelen: "If you have any problems. Do not call customer support!!! Call centre is in SA, and the operatives are unhelpful, put the phone down and incompetent. I have reservations wheather to book with BA ever again due to my bad experience. 2 hours wasted on the phone, followed by calls the next day to finally get 2 off flights cancelled and a return flight amended in my party of 3. Not fun!!"
Nadelen: "Understand sometimes out of airlines control but reduce delays"
Nadelen: "The 60 euro bagage fee for just checking 1 bag was excessive. There was no obvious way to pay on line or with the app"
Voordelen: "Seat super small, could not avoid touching other passengers, I am not obese."
Nadelen: "One toilet for 120 economy class passengers, no beverages served complimentary, even a glass of water cost you. Unbelievable cheap, crappy airline now, what a downfall for such a carrier."
Nadelen: "The flight should have been on time rather than 2 hours late. The Gate agents should have been more honest about what was happening."
Voordelen: "The crew were fantastic and the food was okay!!"

Nadelen: "Inept staff throughout at Heathrow. Sat on the plane for half an hour while they located someone ‘qualified to open the door’."
Nadelen: "Not enough overhead bin storage space. If they want to start charging people for bags they need to improve their overhead storage ability. This was a commuter flight from Amsterdam to London. So the entertainment was not really there"
Voordelen: "The crew are working really hard to make do with what they have. Exceptional service almost makes up for the dated fleet."
Nadelen: "Tiny entertainment screens, no USB, really BA- how long will you keep running these 777’s for?"
Voordelen: "It has to be said, the prices were good. But you do get what you pay for...… (in my case, a lot of extra time and stress)"
Nadelen: "Firstly Kayak is apparently actually LastMinute.Com? BA flight was OK, but not much different from a low-cost airline. Return leg had to be Ryanair and online check-in didn't work (ouch! - you have to pay extra to check in at the airport). I eventually found out (after frantic googling) that Kayak auto-generates an email address for you as part of the Ryanair booking process, and this is the one you need. I spent about 30 mins getting through to LM.Com overseas helpdesk trying to get hold of it. I also had to request hold baggage as a separate process and it took 10 days to confirm this had been arranged (again, I would have had to pay extra at the airport)."
Nadelen: "This flight boarded late without any notice to passengers which caused us to be late into our connecting flight."
Voordelen: "The captain made a very smooth landing in extremely poor conditions."
Nadelen: "Everything you don't get in business class. Since the flight was only 40 minutes, I put up with it."
Nadelen: "The complete lack of help from BA staff after I missed my flight. No helpful suggestions at all when I asked for guidance. Just 'the flight is closed and there are no more seats left today'."
Nadelen: "Plane was very old. Seat rock hard. When I pulled the foot rest down the fabric was coming off to reveal years worth of food crumbs. Disgusting. TV screen was tiny. Seemed sort of staff, took them ages to bring food around, toilet was unclean with no toilet roll towards the end of flight."
Nadelen: "They kicked me off the flight and I missed my husbands performance"

Nadelen: "One world premium member, last seat next to the bathroom, rude check in staff who we’re highly unhelpful saying they had no authority to help and to use ba.com for customer service issues and outrageous checked bag fees €75. Never again BA."

Voordelen: "Nothing, nothing. At all."
Nadelen: "After hours at the gate, the flight was finally deemed cancelled. I missed my layover and was forced to stay over night at a airport hotel. I had paid a change fee to come home specifically for that day which I lost, not to mention 9 hours in the airport... the flights for the following day were totally downgraded from my original booking. Was so upset I could have cried...."

Nadelen: "We where not able to take the fligth's due to a passport issue, according to Netherlands rules my passport should be valid 90 days before entering the country and my expired July 29, 2018, when i booked no one advised me of such rules. I'm trying to contact Brittish Airways to see if I can be refunded."

Nadelen: "The tickets arrived at 9.50 am for 10.55 take off. I tried to cHe Kin in line but it didn’t let me. I went to the counter and they told me check in had closed and I would have to buy another ticket. It was my fault for buying a ticket. Goodbye £200. Thanks BA"
Voordelen: "Last minute flight (booked 4 hours before departure), one way, economy, for €99 from Amsterdam to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer."
