The food on business class.

Plane was too croweded. Small airplane. No screens or anything. Felt like you fly in 1970

the economy seats are really cramped.

Nadelen: "We booked our plane reservations through Kayak . My sister booked my reservation along with hers at the same time. Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

Nadelen: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."
Voordelen: "Crew was beyond standard. Very nice and friendly and always accommodating."
Nadelen: "They ran out of vegetarian meals."

Nadelen: "My ticket didn't specifically say I'm not allowed to have check-in luggage, so I needed to pay extra for that. I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"

The flight crew was very attentive and nice, but the ground crew sadly wasn’t, the overall experience is I WOULD NOT, again NOT TRAVEL with TAP Portugal… We where supposed to board at 11am and started at 11:40 with minimum to non-coordination…

I will never ever use this airline again!

Voordelen: "There was a major problem with my booking and I went through almost 2 hours or stress thinking I would not be let on the flight. This has never happened with Kayak. But it was really bad. TAP insisted they could not book me on as Azores Airlines from Pinta Delgado to Toronto was not booked for me. I had to call bothe airlines. With no help from the desk. I finally got both to confirm and at the last minute was allowed on the flight. I chose this route to have a nice couple of days in Portugal and I will have. But the flight start was really upsetting."
Nadelen: "I like Kayak. But am very concerned about booking through in the future with this treatment."

Nadelen: "Gate checked 90% of the carry on luggage, but not with an official tag, just some guy scribbling on tags before the bus. Boarding was a fiasco: disorderly lines just to pile into a bus and shuttle to plane. Comfort!? Ha. I'm 5'8" short and my knees were digging into the seats in front of me. The new seats are hard as a rock and don't recline. Cramped is an understatement. The tray table is literally the same size as the tray itself. Did TAP build a mock up of this before production?!? You get to hold your drink and put your silverware in your lap while you eat. Food was too hot to open foil, and once opened was mediocre at best. Entertainment?!? Literally nonexistent. Well actually in the fancy seats beyond economy there is a little slot to attach a phone or tablet on the back of the seat. So your entertainment is whatever you brought. I guess the touchscreen/on demand entertainment I remember from the early 2000's is too high tech for TAP."
Nadelen: "I paid to select my seats which were 2 window and two aisle seats. I was assigned 2 aisle and 2 middle seats. I paid extra to acoid middle seats and I would like a refund."
Voordelen: "Not too many people"
Nadelen: "Was delayed. Too long waiting for luggages"
Nadelen: "They had us inside the airplane for 1.5 hours. We understand there was a bad weather but we could get on board when they are ready to depart. It is not nice to be 1.5 hours plus 8 hours traveling"

Nadelen: "Theo charge me a lot for my luggages I just try to call many times to tap for ask about the sports luggages and I never can reach then nobody ever answer the fone . They charge me 124 $ for my board and 90 dollars for my bag the total is 214 $ that’s almost the same price of the ticket ."
Nadelen: "for some strange reason luggage was not included on this trip (our return leg). we had to pay for luggage at the airport."
Nadelen: "I had 1 jour layover but was a big lide for air line I would never travel with this air line again the rest my life They have me pay my luggage. That is stealing from customers Butshit"

Nadelen: "Their short flight from Frankfurt to Lisbon was not that comfortable. Seats were thin, close together. My knees were jammed against the seat in front of me. Glad the international flight was more comfortable. Somehow we did not get the memo that there was a 0 baggage allowance for an international flight. Most give 1 or two bags free. So when we had to pay 80 euros for each bag it started off our trip with TAP a lot disappointed. We still have to fly back and we can go online and pay before hand and get it for 45 euros each. Increased out ticket prices by 205 euros. Will make me take a second thought before I book with TAP again."
Nadelen: "1. Food. I think that sandwich and juice are not enough for 3 hours flight that costs 130 euros. 2. Departure time. The flight was delayed for more than 1 hours. When we arrived at Schiphol it was night already and trains to towns around were super rare. So we came in home at 3 a.m. instead of the planned 1 a.m."
Voordelen: "Boarding was 3:35hrs late. I landed from Boston around 9 am and left around 12:35. The layover was longer than scheduled. I was not pleased."
Voordelen: "The staff and no delays. Checking in , great customer services and she was vey efficient."

Nadelen: "They kept us all day in the airport t to then tell us at 7pm that the flight wouldnt actually leave that day."

Voordelen: "Once we were boarded, everything went fairly smoothly. The cabin staff are not rude, however they are just there to serve food and drinks, and are totally uninvolved and unwilling to enforce any rules."
Nadelen: "TAP is notorious for delaying departures, and both times I have flown with them, the flights have been delayed at least an hour. Their boarding procedure is also unorganized and often frustrating. The food is terrible. Don't eat the beef stew with Madeira sauce. It's like dog food."

It was a really long flight but Iberia made it less tiring with great food and great entertainment.

My original flight had been canceled and they got me on a better flight with a shorter layover. I spoke to Roger on the customer service line and he was wonderful.

Sitting in the middle seat in economy for 7+ hours the OKAY score is very generous.

Nadelen: "Was actually RyanAir. Won't be flying them again. The checkin experience was a nightmare. Only had three very long lines. My line closed when I was almost to the front. When I did talk to someone found out I needed to have my passport validated by another Ryanair person and would have to leave the line. The person checking me in couldn't validate my passport, Really?? At every other airline the checkin person validates your passport."
Nadelen: "We had to check our bags because the plane was too full, this was inconvenient and it made the plane arrive a little late"

Nadelen: "The airline put me on standby for my connecting flight without telling me at anypoint until I was at the gate. I lost a day of vacation and instead had to wait in Madrid for 4hrs, fly to a neighboring city, and then take 2hr bus to my final destination."

Nadelen: "My only complaint, and it's frequently the case with Iberia, is that the cabin is always very cold. Thanks for the blankets, though!"

There were no available business class seats, but now I'm glad I saved the expense as the economy seating was quite comfortable. They took good care of us with food and comfort, and the time passes with plenty of movies to watch."
Nadelen: "Can't help it, but Heathrow is just so big, and requires extensive walking, bussing from one terminal to another, then underground trains, and waiting at the C gates which don't offer the range of restaurants that the main terminal does. But we had 2 1/2 hours to make the connection and there was plenty of time with baggage checked through."
Voordelen: "The crew was fabulous! And the ride was on time and had plenty of entertainment."
Nadelen: "My only complaint is that the seats were very tight in the economy class. We were packed like cattle. I know these were the "cheap" seats but for almost $1500 I would hope for a bit more comfort."
Voordelen: "The team in both Rome and Madrid to went above and beyond. They were polite and empathetic to our situation, which was not Iberias fault. And they went out of their way to get us home on time. My family of 6 really appreciated. They have earned our loyalty."
Voordelen: "They had a lot of movies and games on board. Meals and drinks were free along with blankets and pillows."
Nadelen: "The man at the front desk failed to scan my bag when I checked it in. My bag is now lost and I have not been contacted yet."

I asked for a refund because I was covid positive and nobody responded yet.

Nadelen: "Nether the Dutch government or the Greek government is allowing Americans into their countries, yet Transavia refuses to refund my ticket money. That is the height of abysmal, disrespectful, if not criminal service. Effectively, they stole my money."
Voordelen: "Schiphol was as busy as I’ve ever seen it even at 5am in the morning, but the combination of efficient systems and good natured staff throughout made everything flow very well. This good nature and friendliness was extended into the flight crew who were great. Unfortunate that the flight was delayed by an hour, but I understand this was no fault of the airline or crew. I just made my connection in Lisbon, so all was well. I’d also like to mention the helpful lady at bag drop. A nice reception is always appreciated."
Nadelen: "More updates from the flight deck during the delay would have been nice, but overall I was impressed and would certainly fly with that airline again."

We zitten helaas vol, antwoordde hij. Toch kwam hij een kwartiertje later met het bericht dat er voorin toch drie vrije plaatsen naast elkaar waren, top!"

Voordelen: "the only thing that stands out was the agent who checked me in at Entebbe. She was pleasant and helpful. Most things were ok, but not special."
Nadelen: "Because I require oxygen onboard, I was not allowed to check in on line. consequently, my wife and I got middle seats that were very tight. At least one of them was an aisle."

As an economy passenger, I was to purchase a meal between Geneva and Brussels. Since I didn't want a meal I was surprised to learn I also had to pay for a small, regular coffee."

Nadelen: "Packed in like sardines. Flight attendant would not take the half full cup of coffee from me about 30 minutes before landing so I had to deal with not spilling it during deplaning. Connecting flight was 1hr and 40 min and they refused to give us water! Got to Budapest to find that the ticket Agent had routed three of our 4 bags to Budapest and one to Prague! How much worse could it possibly get!"

Representatives at the Brussels airport were incompetent, slow and misleading and on top of all our suitcases were lost and 24 hours later no one can tell us where they are"

Nadelen: "Boarding from a connecting flight is a disaster. For some reason brussel's air didn't validate our passports at the first international flight. Everyone was expected to do it at the Brussels airport. This would be fine if they had a sign up explaining what to do, or even a basic queue set up. There were passengers for 3 flights mobbed around the check point in front of our gate with nothing resembling a line. Everyone was completely confused and crawling over each other. Add that to our delayed landing that put us on the tarmac, forcing us back through security and a huge walk away from the gate... We very nearly missed our flight! Please please please figure out a way to communicate to your passengers and get people into a proper queue!!!"

Phone support person was very unfriendly and unwilling to look at other options like booking me on another flight that same day."
