Nadelen: "Went from LA to Guangzhou, China. My family checked 6 bags in. Only 5 arrived in China. My bag with ALL my clothes and ALL my meds was the one missing. I had nothing to wear (and that includes underwear) and no meds for 2 freakin’ days. Worst experience EVER!!!!"

Cabin crew paid good attention to benefits of hydration and served water continuously. Seats and leg room were comfortable considering economy and no extra cost."

Nadelen: "The KLM representative was COMPLETELY unhelpful. She basically told us we were screwed and to go away. We spent hours on the phone at great cost to us (international pay phone charges) to be bounced for one rep to another. We were finally told we could get in a plane home Sunday, please to be transferred, starting the process over from the beginning. It was TERRIBLE, beginning to end!"

Nadelen: "I had 15 hours layover in Amsterdam so I got me a hotel.one hour after I got to the hotel I got a notification from Kayak app asking me to go get my bag from Schiphol. My bag was supposed to be directly shipped to PDX. I had to leave my hotel back to the airport and spend 2 hours trying to find it only to be told that it was going to PDX. I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Nadelen: "When I bought my ticket last Nov , I paid extra to select seats, only to discover no aisle seats available for the 15 hour flight from LAX to Guanghzou. I tried many times to call CSA LA office using toll free and regular number, but could never speak to a human. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."

Nadelen: "De onbetrouwbare procedures bij KLM en Schiphol. Kan niet online inchecken bij Delta: KLM operated. Alleen op Schiphol. Daar ook niet bij machine. Naar een loket. Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Gate staff unaware of new terminal 3 to TBIT airside shuttle nearly directed us to leave domestic and requeue for international security. Will like skip Delta connectors to long haul international flights and just fly direct from SFO."

Voordelen: "Our stewardess in the economy cabin was probably one of the best we have ever encountered. She was very courteous and personable."

Nadelen: "No free meals."

Voordelen: "The crew was professional and efficient. This includes the ground personnel that had to cope with a grossly overbooked flight. I was upgraded to comfort+ at the gate."
Nadelen: "Fed up with the .4 oz pretzels. The arrival in LAX was chaotic. We had left on-time and were told that we would arrive approx. 20 minutes early. Ha! First landing attempt had to be aborted, the landing not being cleared by the control tower. Then we cruised, circling over the Ocean, and the lights of the city again. Finally we landed. Taxiing on the tarmac was interrupted many times, and took overall 30 minutes. The pilot kept informing us. I was probably not the only passenger that had and urgent need to reach a bathroom... Of course, Delta should not be blamed"

Voordelen: "I fly frequently and overall the flight was great. My biggest complaint is that as a paying customer (vs non rev) I think it is kind of crazy that I did not have an assigned seat until I walked onto the plane. I really disliked tjis process. I found it to be an unnecessary stress. When I asked the gate agent about it I didn't get a clear answer as to where I will be sitting. I'd much rather know what my seat number is before I board the plane. Other then this bizarre process. Everything was great."

Nadelen: "The flight attendants were rude and not helpful. The checkin counter at the Sydney airport is hidden. Better signage would be helpful in locating the area"

Voordelen: "Delta is one of the best airlines I've flown with. Staff is very helpful, and customer service and amenities are tip notch."

Nadelen: "For some reason , we we did not have seat until the day we left, they ended up placing us in the back. Not that I mind sitting in the back, it was just a scary thought that we didn't have assigned seat when I bought the tickets- I remember picking my seat"

Voordelen: "Having recently flown from PVR to LAX on AA I can only say that Delta makes coach seem like first class compared to the competition. Instead of being treated like livestock Delta makes its passengers comfortable offering blankets and head phones in coach servicing Starbucks Coffee not week old coffee left in the galley., Flying has gone from being a privilege to a punishment and thank you for valuing the coach crowd ."

Nadelen: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Nadelen: "I could not get any information in Moscow until arriving at the airport."

Voordelen: "Afterall I did get rice iso pasta."
Nadelen: "Cold. My chair was bumped because us was just a little bit broader in the gangway than the other chairs. (54c) There is no possebility fot ordering foid for me: diet is without grains at all and without sugar at all."

Voordelen: "Quality of service, personable flight attendants, comfortable seats, decent food quality."
Nadelen: "Entertainment system is average at best. More current and popular options for music and movies should be included. My system quit working during the flight and did not return to operation."

Nadelen: "1 hour between flights meant a very hectic transfer."

Voordelen: "Food and beverage service was excellent on these Star Allisnce international flights booked by United but operated by Lufthansa."
Nadelen: "Leg room in economy is inadequate for international flights. Seats had no cushion left in seat bottoms. It was like sitting on cement."

Voordelen: "The crew did their best to help several people whose seat requests were not honored including a woman traveling with a dog who was given an aisle instead of a window seat. Crew came around with water and juice frequently."
Nadelen: "Seat assignments were not honored. My husband and I were seated in two different rows even though we requested to sit together in an aisle and window seat and checked in the day before the flight This happened on all four legs of a trip to South Africa. Extremely narrow seats and little leg room. Felt like a cattle car. An aggressive woman with disruptive, screaming children was allowed to Torture passengers for a good five hours of the flight before the bursar finally moved her. This was after several hours of complaints from other passengers. She was eventually moved twice due to passenger complaints. The situation should have been handled after the first complaints which occurred two hours into the flight before the situation completely detiorated Food was terrible and meals ran out."

Voordelen: "The food was nice and the stewardess were professional."
Nadelen: "My ticket didn't specifically say I'm not allowed to have check-in luggage, so I needed to pay extra for that. I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"

Voordelen: "Seats comfortable. Decent legroom. Crew pleasant. Food was very good especially for a very short flight."
Nadelen: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."

Nadelen: "12 hour flights in general not the most comfortable."

Voordelen: "The flight left on time and arrived on time. It would've been helpful if more announcements were translated to English."

Nadelen: "Seems like Germans have perfected isolation of all passengers heading to the USA at the airport terminal. After passing 3 passport/boarding pass check points I attempted to buy some coffee in the shop near the gates. Again they demanded passport and boarding pass. I refused. I cannot resist a comment: "Welcome to modern-day Dachau experience!""

Voordelen: "Upgrade to business class. Staff was accommodating"
Nadelen: "Seats were situated next to the bathroom"

Nadelen: "I was nauseous during the plane ride walked to back of plane and was told I wasn't allowed to be back there. When that is where the bathrooms were. I asked for an extra pillow when there were 10 free seats the crew never honored my request. Not once did they ask if I was ok. The food was inedible. And I was completely uncomfortable the entire flight."

Voordelen: "Safe and efficient transportation."
Nadelen: "The entertainment system wasn't functioning so there weren't any viewing options presented. The crew failed to mention that the United app provides movies on your phone."

Nadelen: "It was not a Lufthansa flight, as I had bought, but a United flight because of their partnership. The bathroom made me gag, the food and the entertainment left much to be desired but the service was good. Cannot complain about the flight attendants. Entertainment was also very 2008 with tine screens and not able to select what and when to watch. They only had movies and series on loop. Will avoid having to fly United in the future and will make sure I am indeed getting on a Lufthansa plane."

Nadelen: "The window seats are not comfortable like in other planes. The windows are too high, you don't see anything. The seat is too far from the window so you cannot lean towards it. For a 10 hour flight it was not comfortable."

Voordelen: "Excellent crew & service; enjoyed the special meal selections and the great movie options."

Nadelen: "Letter size on In-Flight-Entertainment is too small. Units looked more like a tablet and some function seems missing or hard to find. Passenger needed to put on the foam piece to the headset. Hard to do as I broke both when trying."

Nadelen: "The seats on my return fight were terrible! my knees were touching the seat in front of me. nehmen the person ahead leaned their seat back, I only had about 10" from my face to their seat. Terrible! Also difficult to watch a movie with the screen that close to your face; that's terrible on the eyes."

Voordelen: "Lufthansa flights was great as usual. Super Clean airplane, polite crew, entertainment selection was good, well functioning head rest design!"
Nadelen: "The western vegetarian/Vegan meal's texture, taste, and quality was astoundingly aweful. It was actually funny how bad the food was."

Nadelen: "The seat I had with no seats in front of me was very small. Much smaller than the other economy seats because the tray table and video screen were in the armrests. Paid extra for the legroom by ended up losing it side to side. Really had to squeeze into the seat."

Thank you for offering a dietary option that is compassionate toward animals and contributes less to climate change! Now if only the planes were powered by clean, renewable energy... Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Nadelen: "Actually the Welcome on board announcement. The part where they special welcome loyalty program members. I do not get that... I am an explorer holder my self, but really?? so other paying customers are not as welcome. This is leftovers from the older days.."

Voordelen: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Nadelen: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

No human being should suffer through that experience I ordered special meal and it was all plain and vegitarian even though I am not vegiterian"

Nadelen: "Three delayed flights and all we were given were food coupons. We missed a whole day due to flight delays. With our connecting flight from Moscow to Madrid, they were so late that they started moving with not everyone in heir seat. Seemed unsafe but I can tell they were in a rush since they were so far behind schedule."

The airplane was so hot I literally poured cups of water over myself every couple hours to keep my clothes damp and my body at a reasonable temperature. The food was pretty terrible."

Tried to make my trip economical but it was not worth the dog food or warm coke they served."

I will not fly with Aeroflot again."

Voordelen: "Flight from Moscow was a disaster. I was flying alone with my 12 months baby. It was super uncomfortable. The gentleman who sat next to me was ok to take another seat to give us more space, however flight attendants said other seats in the plane cost extra. Business class was more than half empty, I saw some seats in economy class too. It was a horrible flight. I couldn't even use my table because my baby had to be on my lap all the time. They saw it, but still gave me two trays of food, one for me and one for baby, I had to put them on floor and eat from there. I'm sorry I had to say it, but my backside was numb for tree days after the flight."

My headphone jack partially worked—ear buds fine but the internal connection was not working well—sound only from 1 ear bud. Not pleasant for watching or listening to entertainment."

Neither could help me to book a new flight. Justfly.com didn't see that the flight was cancelled because Aer Lingus did not inform them. I had to go to the airport and spend 8 hours in line at the ticket desk to get a new flight the next day, in addition to 2 hours spent on the phone. Had these companies done their jobs properly, I could have rescheduled my flight days earlier on the phone and not wasted an entire day of my vacation. When I asked Justfly.com for any form of compensation they refused. Will NEVER fly on this airline or book travel thru Justfly.com again."

It was at least 1/2 before anyone arrived for work. The gate on the boarding pass printed that morning, was the furthest gate and a very long walk. When we arrived there we were told it was changed. We heard a lot of gate changes over the loud speaker, but no announcement from aer lingud. British airways was at"

Voordelen: "Average economy for a 90 minute flight. Crew were cheerful."
Nadelen: "They don't have a free drink service like most European airlines."

Nadelen: "Let's see... Refused to check my bag because the flight was "over booked". The plane blew an engine on takeoff and then landed in Shannon, IR (150 miles west of Dublin). Once there, the airline had no idea what to do with us passengers (for 4 hours), eventually deciding to put us on buses back to Dublin. Once back there we were offered stand by flights to London, where we could try to find flights back to the U.S. (again, on stand by). When we finally got on another Aer Lingus flight (3 days later), my wife and I were asked for $80 to check a second bag. When we asked the desk agent to wave the fee because of our 1st flight mishap, we were told "Hey, you lived through it, didn't you?". Avoid this airline"

Voordelen: "The only thing I can say that I liked about this flight was that we arrived a little early."
Nadelen: "Note: This review is for Aer Lingus a partner of British Airways. 1) Service - one of our fight attendants was incredibly rude. She clearly resents her job. 2) The plane itself was very old and not well maintained. The audio jack for the in-flight entertainment was broken and I could not watch anything. My wife complained about the touch screens being faulty and her audio system was bad. Also, the carpet and seat fabric was torn. 3) The food was disgusting. I mean, really bad. 4) There was a charge for alcohol whereas British Airways was complimentary. 5) Overall, I will never fly Aer Lingus again. It was the worst flying experience in memory."

Nadelen: "The service was really poor. An international flight wee u have to pay for the alcohol, and no cheap either!! The food was mediocre! The plane was outdated. No USB or headphone. Only those offered by the airline and the sky da was awful!! The seats were small and not comfortable! The tv screen wasn't responding to the fingers, had to use the remote!! Everything was not nice at all. The stewardess and steward were not pleasant, it looked like they didn't want to be there or they were bother!! I will never fly again either British or Aer Lingos."

Nadelen: "The connection time of 1.5 hour is barely enough for going to U.S. because U.S. pre-custom clearance takes a long time. This should be taken into consideration when the airline provides this flight option. When we get boarding pass for the second leg, Dublin to LAX, the way seats are assigned doesn't make any sense. I was assigned to row 12 but my husband was assigned to row 36. We checked in together. When we got on board, there were plenty of seats available, so it did not make sense that we were not assigned together."

Nadelen: "At Frankfurt Main airport the check in counter had initially only one person and the lines were very long. After about 30 minutes they opened 2 more counters. We were waiting at the gate for the bus and the flight time had passed , but no announcement that the flight is delayed. finally we get on the plane and then we get an announcement that we the plane does not have clearance for another hour and half. The entertainment on board is very very old stuff, and shockingly the food is also bad and no vegetarian food."

The rule about registering for a vegetarian meal 72 hours advance is ridiculous. there should always be meat-free options for people, not just vegetarians. The flight attendant was kind enough to find some fruit salad for me, out of the crew meals, but she shouldn't have to. in general they don't feel very warm or inviting."

Voordelen: "Nothing."
Nadelen: "The plane was dirty and old, the food horrible, cramped seats, dirty and non functioning bathrooms, stressed out and inattentive staff, poor coordination of seating families together (I was told my seat was given to a woman so she could sit with her adult daughter...I wasn't asked, just told), the flight was 1.5 hour delayed, my bag was lost because the incompetent staff member in Italy didn't give me a bording pass for the Dublin to LA flight (I'm still waiting over 24 hours later to find out what's happened to my luggage). Overall, this flight was a nightmare and a huge let down after flying to Rome on British Airways. I can't say enough about how wonderful that flight was..Aer Lingus was a big disappointment and a poor substitute for BA. Very unsatisfied customer!"

Nadelen: "Everything from start to finish incompetent."

Voordelen: "Seating"
Nadelen: "Booked for British airways flight that was changed to aer lingus Food was terrible, had to pay for drinks and snacks, 1 meal within the first 2 hours on a 12 hour flight, then nothing after, no water unless you went to galley and asked for some. If I wanted aer lingus I would have booked with them, not nearly the same quality as British airways. I won't use them for long haul flights again"

Nadelen: "Check in was not working on line. Very frustrating."

Voordelen: "Service was good"
Nadelen: "Delayed by 30 min"

Voordelen: "I was comfortable as far as temperature and smoothness of flight. I was surprised to have tasty food and two meals!"
Nadelen: "I was really uncomfortable with no leg room. The woman in front of me really hurt my knee when she let her seat back crash into my knee ( I had to lift my leg with my hands and try to fit my foot down in a tiny space in order to cross my legs. Trying to get up to get out of the seat was extremely awkward. The worst experience was online booking. It was difficult to understand and impossible to change my seat. I even called."

Voordelen: "New with plenty of room"

Voordelen: "On time departure and arrival. Chairs sit ok"
Nadelen: "Display screen hard to navigate, unresponsive after pushing ---etc. Audio of movies difficult to understand. temperature little too low"

Voordelen: "Option of 2 seats along sides instead of 3 Crew was helpful rebooting the entertainment systems"
Nadelen: "Charged for alcohol on an overseas flight. Entertainment counsel didn't work or was really slow thru most of the flight"

Voordelen: "open seats were a blessing"
Nadelen: "food terrible, entertainment very poor for a 10 hour flight - old, boring movies, also the restrooms in the terminal at Dublin were really bad - terrible way to start a long flight"

Voordelen: "The staff was all very kind and helpful! Thanks!"
Nadelen: "Only a simple delay due to weather."

Voordelen: "the anticipation of a great flight back to the USA"
Nadelen: "The reality. The staff were not not at all friendly and chatty in the tradition of Aer Lingus. It felt like I was on an American Airlines flight :("

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for an hour and a half causing me to miss my connecting flight back to the US. Because I missed my connecting flight, they had to reroute me through Boston and then to San Francisco. I paid extra for an upgraded seat and they still sat me in a middle seat. To componsate for the 8 and a half hour delay and two brutal flights, they gave me a meal voucher for 8 Euros. I won't be flying Aer Lingus anytime soon. Of the three flights that I had with them this trip, two were severely delayed. I'm exhausted!"
