Nadelen: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

I pay premium pricing for the Plus seat so I have extra room to work. I chose not to turn off light in order to work, then flight attendants allowed the passenger to approach me. Really unacceptable to put me in uncomfortable interaction, making me play bad cop. I was sitting behind passengers talking loudly who were using profanity. My solution? Earphones. This is a commercial flight - offer passengers eye covers, some solution, or tell them to deal with it, or tell them to charter a private plane. Don’t tell us to sacrifice what we pay for, because you can’t do your job. Lost a loyal customer."

I had a backpack under the seat in front of me and was told to push it even further under the seat which also seemed ridiculous. People are tired and not excited to be squished inside a flying tube like sardines, there is no need to pick at them for such tiny insignificant things. As usual, the general public has a poor understanding of common courtesy and basic manners but that's nothing new."

So the airline staff spent an hour searching for the bags and delaying the flight as everyone sat on board the plane. No entertainment was available on the plane and the flight attendants were also quite rude. This review is coming from someone who rarely complains or gets mad. If you have the opportunity to fly another airline, I would recommend it."

Also, on my initial flight, they closed the check-in early and left many of us stranded without knowing who to talk to and how to manage to get on the plane. When someone from SAS finally came, I was told I would be escorted through security and most into the plane but then the "manager" or whoever was in charge denied it. The plane did not leave for another our and instead of arguing with the costumers they could have just helped us get on the plane. It was unfair of them to close the check in desks early and on top of that to catch a plane the next day they wanted to charge and exorbitant fee. I Wii never fly SAS again."

Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"

Nadelen: "When passengers in front of us kept their seats reclined the entire trip, couldn't move, difficult to get in or out of seats. Had to ask flight attendants to ask them to raise seats, at least during meal service. Food was worst of any international flight we've been on and we fly internationally several times a year. Very poor selection of movies and map was not working this flight."

Nadelen: "Crew was rude. The bathrooms became disgusting halfway thru the foight w no toilet paper. For 6 hours we were down to one bathroom in coach. Unacceptable. My daughter never got her final meal and the flight attendant was rude when I asked her about it and never returned w food. Never fly SAS"

Voordelen: "Courteous staff, great food, CLEAN airplane, spacious seats. Zero complaints and WAY better than any domestic airlines (United, Delta, American) based on personal experience!"

Nadelen: "Flight was cancelled upon check in without any prior notice. Was forced to wait three hours in line for them to reroute to flight twelve hours later. Staff was rude, unapologetic, demanding and incompetent the entire time. Flight was packed, uncomfortable and smelled terrible. Flight was rough, landing was rough. Terrible airline."
Nadelen: "During online check in and through the website, I was informed that I would be able to have one free checked bag. I was never prompted that I would have to pay additional. However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."
Voordelen: "Crew was very friendly, food was amazing. SAS plus is the way to go. Bigger seats, very comfortable for a ten hour flight."

Nadelen: "We did not get food in this flight, it was not necessary because it was only a 1h 25m flight, so I cannot rate it."

Nadelen: "Delayed flights, microphone is too fuzzy, hard to understand. Also why couldn't we get 2 or more sodas.. Crazy! The Asian airlines beat you! Very expensive stuff like a small red bottle of wine was like almost $15! Nuts... Very disappointed.. It should be free for the money we pay! Also staff just let people leave their windows open which was crazy coz most passengers are tired from other trips and of course in Europe you can hardly see anyone letting the elderly and children have any first priority boarding or let alone line up. I had my disabled husband and a young active little grandchild... Cathay Pacific, PAL,KAL, CAL are great about priority boarding for the elderly and children. Its sad your company do not have compassion or empathy for families with little children and the elderly population.. They really suffer!"
Voordelen: "I wish there were more snacks during flight."
Nadelen: "Check in took two hours! Gmhad to wait in line to "check" our bag and then wait in another to "pay" for our checked bag and get boarding passes. Very inefficient."
Nadelen: "The first plane was absolutely filthy. I paid for Wifi and when connection was spotty put my laptop down still with half of the data I purchased unused, but then it wouldn't let me back on later. Food was awful. On the first flight they skipped me for drink service entirely."

Nadelen: "Flight was late. Ground crew were atrocious and lost passengers and then insisted on counting the whole plane twice (as they got it wrong the first time). The flight was delayed by 4hrs in total and then Aerlingus denied compensation was due. Appalling performance"
Nadelen: "The floor plan on Aer lingus website for seating was did not match the actual plane iwe were on so the legroom was not as good as what the website illustrated when we boarded."

Nadelen: "Plane arrived late - no updates from the gate crew. ...coffee and soda is not free..."
Nadelen: "Online check in does not work, ever. Late boarding all 4 flights inconvenient access to boarding pass. Was required to stand in line for 30 minutes to get boarding pass for connection instead of getting boarding pass when I left. Also, no kiosk to get it myself. Just about missed my connection do to these delays. No one is in a hurry at this airline"
Nadelen: "Never happened. Bumped. No notice. 4 hours of no information. British airways /aer. Lingus refused to do anything."
Voordelen: "When I think of international, I think of the huge airplane with 3 rows of seating, an extra inch of leg space for us economy flyers ...this was basically a domestic airplane and the staff was polite but nothing over the top."
Nadelen: "Squished like sardines. And my luggage is broken."

Nadelen: "They don't have a free drink service like most European airlines."
Nadelen: "Let's see... Refused to check my bag because the flight was "over booked". The plane blew an engine on takeoff and then landed in Shannon, IR (150 miles west of Dublin). Once there, the airline had no idea what to do with us passengers (for 4 hours), eventually deciding to put us on buses back to Dublin. Once back there we were offered stand by flights to London, where we could try to find flights back to the U.S. (again, on stand by). When we finally got on another Aer Lingus flight (3 days later), my wife and I were asked for $80 to check a second bag. When we asked the desk agent to wave the fee because of our 1st flight mishap, we were told "Hey, you lived through it, didn't you?". Avoid this airline"

Nadelen: "I booked extra space seats and then they changed the plane and moved us in regular seats. We talked to a person from Air Lingus and he said it happens often but there's nothing to do. on board, the head sets are very old and you could only hear from one ear using the head set provided by Air Lingus. in 2018 ?! seriously !?"
Voordelen: "I didn't like anything."
Nadelen: "The service was really poor. An international flight wee u have to pay for the alcohol, and no cheap either!! The food was mediocre! The plane was outdated. No USB or headphone. Only those offered by the airline and the sky da was awful!! The seats were small and not comfortable! The tv screen wasn't responding to the fingers, had to use the remote!! Everything was not nice at all. The stewardess and steward were not pleasant, it looked like they didn't want to be there or they were bother!! I will never fly again either British or Aer Lingos."
Nadelen: "Didn't take Dublin to LA."
Voordelen: "Flights were on time"
Nadelen: "Aer Lingus service and equipment is not up to par with other carriers. including food and entertainment systems"
Voordelen: "Crew was pleasant. Food was OK and service too. Boarding was fine."
Nadelen: "The 4 hours wait before my connection, the extra security selection that got me all patted for the 2nd time."
Nadelen: "At Frankfurt Main airport the check in counter had initially only one person and the lines were very long. After about 30 minutes they opened 2 more counters. We were waiting at the gate for the bus and the flight time had passed , but no announcement that the flight is delayed. finally we get on the plane and then we get an announcement that we the plane does not have clearance for another hour and half. The entertainment on board is very very old stuff, and shockingly the food is also bad and no vegetarian food."
Nadelen: "No complimentary refreshments offered, not even water."
Voordelen: "The flight left almost on time which was good and landed a little over 20 minutes late which was ok."
Nadelen: "I had a window seat and felt very crammed. Also, we had to wait close to an hour for our luggage to come through. That was most annoying."
Voordelen: "Great staff"

Nadelen: "Poor gate service, insufficient information on flight, which was flown by Aer Lingus."

Voordelen: "The staff were so, so helpful and made sure we were all as comfortable as possible. I liked all the snacks and drinks and the no charge for checked bags. (A big help after a long trip and short on $!) And the best part? They dealt with U.S customs before we left Dublin so that we didn't have to deal with the long lines in Boston. So grateful!!!"
Nadelen: "My entertainment screen froze every time I tried to play a game, had to reset a few times before I gave up."

Voordelen: "The on-screen entertainment as good and easy and free. It was great to get two hot meal services on such a long flight. Cabin was very clean. Captain was quite cordial and informative."
Nadelen: "On an almost 11 hour flight, we got very thirsty so an additional beverage service would have been nice. I must say that I was a bit taken aback by the fact that they get their crew to sell merchandise during the flight from their on-board catalog."
Voordelen: "Staff was very attentive and very friendly. The sour cream and chives pretzels were delicious and the ladies gave me a few more when I asked for them. pretty decent leg room."
Nadelen: "When boarding a flight it would be a good idea to board the plane in smaller sections instead of business class first and then all economy regardless of row. This would prevent 400+ people gathering around the gate crowding a busy walkway. Poor selection for movies and tv. One of our seats had no audio and the seat control center was inoperative so we couldn't even turn the reading light on. The audio quality and headphones were terrible on the seats that did work. Ok The seats were less comfortable than our British Airways flights on the way out. No alcoholic drinks were provided either like they were on the British Airways flight. We paid for a British Airways flight and were placed on a discount airline."
Nadelen: "The plane was dirty and old, the food horrible, cramped seats, dirty and non functioning bathrooms, stressed out and inattentive staff, poor coordination of seating families together (I was told my seat was given to a woman so she could sit with her adult daughter...I wasn't asked, just told), the flight was 1.5 hour delayed, my bag was lost because the incompetent staff member in Italy didn't give me a bording pass for the Dublin to LA flight (I'm still waiting over 24 hours later to find out what's happened to my luggage). Overall, this flight was a nightmare and a huge let down after flying to Rome on British Airways. I can't say enough about how wonderful that flight was..Aer Lingus was a big disappointment and a poor substitute for BA. Very unsatisfied customer!"

Nadelen: "1. BA said I couldn't get a seat before 24 hrs before. Then when I tried to get a seat assignment I was told (by email) to contact Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus said that I should have called before 24 hrs before, and that seats were now in control of the gate (this still 22 hrs before flight time). Total lack of coordination. 2. At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Nadelen: "Some of the flight crew. The arm rests don't go all the way up which makes it really hard when traveling with a toddler. This was the case on the short flight and the longer flight to LAX. Not a fan of the food. Most of the crew seemed preoccupied and grumpy."

I have reservations wheather to book with BA ever again due to my bad experience. 2 hours wasted on the phone, followed by calls the next day to finally get 2 off flights cancelled and a return flight amended in my party of 3. Not fun!!"

Voordelen: "Last minute flight (booked 4 hours before departure), one way, economy, for €99 from Amsterdam to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer."
Voordelen: "Very little."
Nadelen: "Awful (typically BA) configuration im Club World on a 787 - cramped, inadequate storage, just lacking essential comfort for a supposed premium class. Food: seriously, I've had better in student cafes. Just stop it BA - its like some kind of prison food. Entertainment: meh. Small selection of new release movies. Crew: with the exception of one - just one from a complement of 15 odd - of the crew, the rest were a surly, inhospitable miserable bunch. If you hate your job don't take it out on customers - especially in a service industry."

Nadelen: "It is difficult to get in and out of chair. I wish the chair handle would be moved up . Every time I needed to go to bathroom , I hurt myself."
Voordelen: "I loved the side compartment next to my seat in the upper deck of the airbus. This was an amazing airplane to fly in and I hope someday to afford the opportunity to experience First class. The cabin crew was very attentive and our attendant, in particular, was helpful. He made sure that we had our special meal and the whole staff was very attentive."
Voordelen: "Polite crew, flight was on time landing - even early. Seats were comfortable."
