Voordelen: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Nadelen: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

I had paid a change fee to come home specifically for that day which I lost, not to mention 9 hours in the airport... the flights for the following day were totally downgraded from my original booking. Was so upset I could have cried...."
Nadelen: "We where not able to take the fligth's due to a passport issue, according to Netherlands rules my passport should be valid 90 days before entering the country and my expired July 29, 2018, when i booked no one advised me of such rules. I'm trying to contact Brittish Airways to see if I can be refunded."

While trying to work out a solution with the attendants they were incredibly unhelpful, knew very little about the situation, and at times mocked us. Lisa at the AMS location was particularly rude to the members of our party."
Nadelen: "The flight got delayed 1:30 hours, because they had to change planes in London and we were wating in Amsterdam. We didn't aboard fast since there was no space for the hand luggage so they had to send the luggage to the belly of the plane at tha last minute. Definetly the worst fligth ever!!!"
Voordelen: "I love it the most that they are so helpful with excess baggage Which is why I always book with BA I am an entertainer working for many different cruise lines BA does not rob you blind if you have extra baggage Or your bags are slightly heavier ! Delta recently charged me $ 285 per extra bag Coming back BA charged me $90 and allowed me two bags The new policy on many airlines to literally rob a customer Is disgusting and the govt authorities should put a stop To it BA is welcoming and always professional !"

When I directed to him and asked for help, he just stood there for few sec. and decieded to help me but with an attitude. Same as the other lady need their help to put the backpack in, both male crests stood there and wasn't planning to help, and the passenger stood up and assisted her."

Along with a link to $100 credit with the airline. This is what real customer service is about. Not just empty apologies."
Nadelen: "At airport had line for baggage drop if had boarding passes. But, then only had one station open out of four or five. One person had problem I guess. Line didn't move for 10-15 minutes. VERY BAD!!"

Nadelen: "we're professional musicians who fly all the time with fragile equipment. the airline applied an overweight baggage fee (fair enough, normally) but their payment system was down. rather than waive the fee, we were made to wait an hour to pay 150 euros. after scrambling through security we narrowly missed our flight. rebooking took hours and involved going back through security all over again, having our equipment searched for the second time. when it came time to gate-check our guitars, the airline lost them. we wound up boarding our connection to JFK with no idea where they were. finally they turned up on the baggage belt. we would never and have never agreed to send these delicate items through general baggage. One guitar (50 year old gintage guitar) was broken in the process and another of our hard cases was damaged and needs to be replaced. Completely unacceptable from start to finish."

We found out right away that there was a delay and chances of missing the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Orlando were great. We requested a different booking to insure travel to Orlando, which was denied. So the connecting flight was missed and after hours arrived in Orlando at midnight. Missed my ride and all car rentals were booked. All this caused a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. Very disappointing. And to add to it, the flight itself was horrible and there was no entertainment available for the entire flight."

At the airport, my new flight was delayed, which could have caused me to miss my connecting flight to Boston and be stuck at the Charlotte airport overnight. I was then rebooked on a flight that was leaving to NY, with a connecting flight to Boston at 7."

I arrived in NYC at 10:00 in the evening."

We complained, stating we had 15 mins to make our flight. Finally they let us through and we ran to the gate, which was closed but the staff opened the door and we got on. Thank goodness!!!"

Voordelen: "The crew were very friendly and attentive, there was a delay to boarding and departure but they were very apologetic about it. Service was attentive on the plane and bags promptly delivered at the baggage carousel."
Nadelen: "I upgraded at the airport to Executive class, which is really a bit of a scam to be honest. It’s just the first two rows of the plane and the middle seat kept free... the seats were no different to economy. Not worth the 109€ upgrade fee."

Voordelen: "There was a major problem with my booking and I went through almost 2 hours or stress thinking I would not be let on the flight. This has never happened with Kayak. But it was really bad. TAP insisted they could not book me on as Azores Airlines from Pinta Delgado to Toronto was not booked for me. I had to call bothe airlines. With no help from the desk. I finally got both to confirm and at the last minute was allowed on the flight. I chose this route to have a nice couple of days in Portugal and I will have. But the flight start was really upsetting."
Nadelen: "I like Kayak. But am very concerned about booking through in the future with this treatment."

Nadelen: "We were never prompted to pay for our check in baggage at the time of purchase and so when we showed up we were forced to pay 85 euros for one checked bag for an international flight on top of a ticket that already cost more than $250. The luggage restrictions were never shown previously. Will never fly TAP Portugal again."
Nadelen: "I was not informed my flight was cancelled until the day of the flight. I was able to get in touch with someone to pay for another flight but the communication was lacking."

Voordelen: "Getting through customs at Lisbon airport is a nightmare. It takes a full hour standing in line among a hoard of other arrivees before passports are checked."
Voordelen: "We were late because of delay of the first part of our fly : Zurich - Lisbon, but the fly Lisbon- NewYork waited for us."
Nadelen: "Our TV didn't work. There is not possibility to charge phone on the fly."

Nadelen: "1. Food. I think that sandwich and juice are not enough for 3 hours flight that costs 130 euros. 2. Departure time. The flight was delayed for more than 1 hours. When we arrived at Schiphol it was night already and trains to towns around were super rare. So we came in home at 3 a.m. instead of the planned 1 a.m."
Nadelen: "They gave my 70-year old mother only a few hours notice that they were changing her one-stop four-hour 6AM flight into an 8AM multi stop 14-hour marathon. In fact, she was already asleep when they changed her flight, so she was already at the airport when she found out about the change. To do this to a 70-year old woman is reprehensible. Worse, after 2-hours with customer service, nobody there made any real attempt to remedy the situation or offer any compensation. Worst airline experience EVER."
Voordelen: "The staff and no delays. Checking in , great customer services and she was vey efficient."

Nadelen: "They kept us all day in the airport t to then tell us at 7pm that the flight wouldnt actually leave that day."
Voordelen: "The checkin staff at LHR were really good and helped me with my visa application. They helped me to not miss my flight. Ten out of ten for them."

Voordelen: "They fed us and provided good entertainment. Seats have plenty of room and are comfortable."

Nadelen: "given that Air Canada's computer had crashed and flights were cancelled (including our own), the lack of information was astounding. Why, e.g., didn't anyone go along the queue handing out numbers so people could get food then reclaim their place in line? Why weren't we told, ditto, how long this mess would take to clear up? why weren't we offered o/n stays, etc, etc. Could have done an awful lot better if some manager had spent two minutes thinking!!"
Nadelen: "Not impressed with luggage fees that were not indicate but hidden in price - and all the nickle and diming on every little thing.. ruins the overall experience"
Nadelen: "Our luggage didn't scan in the system so we couldn't go to the gate until it was found & scanned in the system. Fortunately we were early so this wasn't an issue but kept us waiting at "step 2" until an actual photo could be found. We also had a delay after boarding while they changed a tire. It all worked out ok."
Nadelen: "Oncomfortabele stoelen, Inflight entertainment werkte slecht"

Voordelen: "It was a short flight and I shared my seating with average weight people. The crew members and the pilots were very informative."
Nadelen: "During a short flight there is not much to experimented and less to comment."

Nadelen: "A 12 hour delay is not okay. The hotel comp was nice but they split my group of 5 into different hotels. The breakfast voucher did not work. The dinner voucher barely covered the cost at the designated restaurant. Customer service was extremely unaccomadating."
Nadelen: "Very poor communication and co-ordination when flight was delayed and then cancelled. Rebooking was only available via the phone, even when at the airport, with a 45 minute hold time. Everyone kept passing the buck to another, and no supervisors were around. Terrible customer service!"

Nadelen: "Most of the staff were rude and made me feel like an inconvenience any time I needed something. Due to delays leaving Heathrow and arriving in Ontario, my 2 1/2 hour layover was reduced to 30 minutes. And because I was transfering to a flight to the US, I had to sprint through 6 security checkpoints. I made it to my flight, but my bag did not. My bag was not delivered to me until 1 am the following day."
Voordelen: "Oddly, entertainment options vastly superior on this 50-minute flight than on the 7-hour flight."
Nadelen: "My flight was cancelled. I had a wedding to attend on Saturday morning and could only be rebooked on a flight the next day at 3:10pm. I wanted to simply cancel the flight that I was automatically rebooked on; however, I have been on hold with customer service for HOURS and can not get through. I have never experienced such terrible customer service."
Voordelen: "Nothing to expect more"
Nadelen: "The amount of snacks served should be increased"
Nadelen: "The fact that because I was late for my flight, my reservation was cancelled. I was not given the opportunity to change my flight at all, I just lost out on the return portion of my travel. I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed over an hour and nothing to drink was provided."
Voordelen: "The flight was smooth despite prior warning from the pilot of possible turbulance.The flight attendants were generally friendly and helpful."

Nadelen: "We were told there's issue in communicating to the engine and delayed for two hours or more. The staff provided updates periodically but it would be better if the issue could be prevented before boarding. Although it's not expected, I was pretty happy the seat on my left was empty on first plane. On the sub plane they arranged an overweighted guy on my left which made the delay worse as he threw off the strong smell of curry."
Voordelen: "Friendly and professional staff"
Nadelen: "Entertainment system is crappy and looks like it's from the 1990's. It needs a serious overhaul. I reserved windows seats and showed up to check and had been placed in the middle."
Voordelen: "Efficient. tv on back of screen didn't work"
Nadelen: "The announcement about turbulence were to much. Could have been way more subtle or shorter"
Voordelen: "Originally this flight was scheduled to be an 1hr and 17minute flight. It only took 55 minutes from gate to gate. Flight attendant was really friendly, overall a very great experience."
Nadelen: "The aircraft that was servicing this route was tiny and at times I found it difficult to stand up properly without hitting my head. There was a little chop upon takeoff but besides that everything went smoothly."
Voordelen: "Captain gave us regular updates"
Nadelen: "LGA closed for wind. We sat on taxi road for 2 hours. Crew could have served more than water while we waited. No AirCanada's fault but crew should have a plan to serve the snacks/ food if we are sitting for two hours and the total flight time is 1.5 hours."
Voordelen: "Free snacks , on board entertainment, friendly warm crew."
Nadelen: "Workers never helped to get us on our flight even though the delay was caused by Air Canada's technology errors. Had to pay $200 for a rebooking fee , rather than accommodating us for Air Canada's error. Highly disappointed after hearing such great things about this airline."
Voordelen: "The process from start to finish was very well coordinated. Crew kept passengers informed of situation as they arises due to matters beyond their control while maintaining the integrity of Air Canada."
Voordelen: "The crew was friendly and multi-lingual. The food was fine and beverages were frequently offered. I live in Michigan, but flights from Windsor (via Toronto) to Europe are much less expensive, so well worth the drive over the border."
Nadelen: "This airline only allows for one free checked bag when flying internationally. The checked bag size is stringent (but at least travelers are notified about that several times when booking and paying on line. The movie options are limited, but still enough variety to find something to watch."
Nadelen: "The flight was originally delayed by 30 minutes.. reasonable considering the high winds in both NYC and Toronto. Things started going wrong after we boarded the airplane and then were told the flight crew had not yet arrived from LGA. There is simply no excuse for airlines not keeping sufficient standby crew capacity to minimize these issues. This is a clear case of the airline under staffing at the expense of its customers. By the time the flight crew arrived we were just barely able to make the 8:45 wheels up time for our clearance. The flight to LGA was uneventful until we landed. We were then told our gate was occupied by another plane, a delay that was initially forecast to be a few minutes turned into what seemed to be close to an hour. As a result, I arrived home to my Manhattan apartment at least two hours later than I should have. Flight delays happen, I accept them when they are for reasons that cant be avoided... I look for other airlines (such as united) when they occur for entirely preventable reasons and result in back pain from being trapped in an airline seat for 3+ hours instead of the 1hr 15 or so I should have been stuck in the seat."
Voordelen: "For the most part all crews were courteous and friendly. Early boarding for a disabled person traveling with our family was problematic on each leg of the trip."
Nadelen: "Not being informed of the reasons for the delay of almost four hours in the Toronto to Amsterdam leg was a major disappointment. Legroom on both transatlantic legs was a problem as well."
Voordelen: "Never got on this flight. We were never given an email to self check in, and we're unable to board 45 mins before at the gate coming frim anotthe flight. They overbooked this flight & sold our tickets, and then told us we couldn't get on flight. Now we are out $2500 buying new tix!"
Nadelen: "All the above. A simple check in email would have averted this problem. All the other airlines do this. We were under the presumption that we had to check in at airport when we didn't get check-in notice. Furthermore, they sold our tickets, so we're down $2500 and they doubled their profit. It would be hard for me to say I will use Air Canada or kayak in the future."
Voordelen: "The crew was very pleasant, there was in-flight entertainment, and even refreshments. All 3 of these are rare these days so I was happy about that."
Nadelen: "There was a delay but that's ok."
Voordelen: "Once, on board everything went smoothly"
Nadelen: "Not being made aware of the real departure time ahead of time."
Voordelen: "Replacement flight was fine but third time original flight in early afternoon to LGA cancelled in the last eighteen months."
Nadelen: "Flight ac714 was cancelled. Put on AC716 which put me at LGA in evening rush hour."
Voordelen: "The crew was great as usual, and I always enjoy the unique selection of international film in the entertainment system."
Nadelen: "That old plane was VERY drafty around the emergency exit. I can't remember ever feeling cold on a plane. Usually it's the opposite. But here was a consistent stream of ice cold air leaking through the airframe around the emergency exit. It was cold enough that I had to put several layers of blankets up on the wall and lean against them all the way home. In addition, my seat was so "well-used" that it provided very little support and often felt as though I was sitting on a bench. Not a pleasant experience."
Voordelen: "I arrived home safely. I needed"
Nadelen: "I needed assistance as I have a broken ankle. Waited, waited and waited some more for assistance. Handed off 5 times until I got to the gate. Given a seat first in the exit row and naturally had to have that changed as I could not assist others. Placed even further back in the plane. It took the full three hours plus since deplaning the Austrian Air flight to get to the Air Canada gate."
Nadelen: "we no have entertainment for 8 hours. 20 TV's no worked in the plain"
Voordelen: "My flight was cancelled suddenly and my luggage are lost. I stayed at the airport until 4.am."
