Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

They would not even offer to hold my flight for 24 hours in case they fixed the issue within that time frame. It was very disappointing."

Food, seating and sound of the entertainment

With my wife being disabled the assistance and crew staff were very helpful getting us on and off the plane. My previous experience of virgin although some years ago was a wider choice of meals and food more to my taste.

The seats are angled in upper class a bit uncomfortable and the Tv screen could be larger.

The flight attendants were very kind and attentive and the food was good. The seats were cramped.

Check in took over 2 hours because the agent had no experience with dealing with declared transport of unloaded firearms. Not surprising in a country where that is rare. She should have been able to call for some help from someone with more authority or experience. She stated I need a reservation for the handgun and ammunition. No information was given to me by the World Police & Fire Games that a "reservation" for my handgun and ammo would be needed. When I checked ahead of time there was no information about a "reservation" needed in Virgin Atlantic's web site or Delta's web site dealing with firearms.

We can't accept the plane is late twice.

Despite some technical problems all the crew were really great and managed the issues really well. Thank you

Virgin flight attendants are the nicest/friendliest of all the airlines! Always prefer Virgin if there is a choice!

Crew was officious, but understandably so because of the number of people on board the flight.

Had a brillant flight from LAX and the lady that check us in at LAX on the vs6848 flight to Manchester was outstanding ! And deserves recognition! She was patient with when we were paniced about us been late and havibg five chikdren under five...she kept us clam... reassured us and booked our bags..ensure my elderly mother had assistance and also waited for my husband who had gone to the toilet and jad got himself lost in the airport. We made it to the plan on time... please fjnd that lady as I really want her to be recognized The plane was of high standard and we got the seats thats worked well with our large family My email is if you need more information.

Nadelen: "The rows are so narrow between seats that your roll on suitcase will not fit. You have no elbow room in your seat. People who live in England are very rude and would not let those of us seated in front of them to deplane. Too bad there isn’t someway to make people wait their turn."

Half of the passengers were still in the boarding area because no one heard announcements. Arrived 30 min early but had to wait on the tarmac for 45 min for a parking gate. Baggage delivery at JFK took forever."

Nadelen: "- Boarding kept getting delayed without any warning. - Duty free purchase was meant to be collected just before boarding the plane but mine was not there. This was not so much an issue but the man said he would have my bag sent to my seat and I was subsequently approached by a crew member who asked for my receipt. Which he was holding in his hand. I would have thought it would be quite easy to confirm the person without them having the receipt as the their name and seat number is on the receipt but he had to go back and check if it was okay. - Found it hard to sleep on the overnight flight due to uncomfortable seats. Would probably not be an issue in upper class. - No comment on entertainment as did not use it."

Nadelen: "We were waiting in our seats for about an hour before take off due to a need to de-ice the plane due to snowy weather. I think everyone would have been more comfortable in the waiting area while this happened, or at least given the option to do so."

Nadelen: "Flight left 50 minutes late because they'd lost the paperwork and had to get new copies.... not very professional! I can understand a delay due to weather or technical issues but losing paperwork shouldn't happen. The food portion was very small for an international flight."
Nadelen: "Flight was an hour and a half late boarding, sat on the tarmac for 45 minutes, and there was no offer of complimentary beverages. Very barebones level of service."
Nadelen: "I never expect airline food to be any good but I’m always hoping it’s edible. This was not the case, as the egg breakfast made me physically ill."

Nadelen: "I had to run for almost 2 miles every time I had to change the flight. On the way to India they lost my one bag, and on the way back to US they lost my both begs."
Nadelen: "Once In London, we were told by British Airways that was flying us to Nice that Delta had “lost” our infant electronic ticket - It took 1.5h to get new ticket reissued! We missed our connection and had to wait 3 more hours for the next flight - We were somewhat lucky as multiple flights were delayed/cancelled that day - I will avoid using Virgin Atlantic in the future as they need Delta and British operate their flights and this makes it prone to issues like that"
Voordelen: "Quite a big choice of movies and TV shows to watch, more than enough for an eight hour flight. Normal headphone plugs so you can use your own."
Nadelen: "I booked together with my wife, yet we were allocated seats apart and were not able to be reassigned together. The leg room was so tight that I could not pick up things off the floor without putting my head in the next persons lap. Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."
Voordelen: "The flight crew from the mel to lax route were excellent. One was especially attentive to my 2 toddlers and gave me a bit of a break, something that has NEVER happened in over 40 flights traveling with children."
Nadelen: "I think something was broken in our section (mel to lax) as it was uncomfortably hot and the flight crew tried to get it cooler but could not. I’ve never experienced a flight that was too hot, usually the opposite. It was stifling."

Nadelen: "Aircraft configuration of the 787-9 was very poor with 9 seats abreast making the seats very cramped and very poor leg room."

I also liked that the exit row that I was given had more than enough leg room, the dinner was really good for airplane food and snacks were great also. The attendant that I had for my section also told me that all food and drinks were free so they gave me a few extra adult drinks here and there which is a plus for how long the flight was going to be. The movie selection is great also having some on there that are still in theaters is a huge plus."
Nadelen: "The boarding process seemed way out of order, they made so many mistakes and nobody knew what to do, then you have the pushy passengers that are sitting coach getting mad that you're boarding before them. Breakfast left me wanting something else, lets just say this if you are given the choice of something vs french toast, take the something."

Nadelen: "You lost our luggage. We were able to pick up our luggage after the Sydney flight, but they never made it to Minneapolis. What I don't understand is why we were not able to get boarding passes and seat assignments when we did our check-in in Sydney? Why is that so hard? Also, when we were getting our boarding pass in LAX it was so confusing when it asked for checked bags. Our bags were already on a belt going to who knows where - were we supposed to check "yes"? If we had a boarding pass this would not have been an issue."

Gedoe met teveel passagiers die weigeren een mondkapje op te doen en een kat/muis spel spelen met de bemanning. KLM kwaliteit als vanouds, maar verziekt door dit soort medepassagiers.

Nadelen: "Just an observation, as soon as the plane stops and the fasten seatbelt sign turns off, the first people to stand are all the older white men on the flight. Never noticed that before but I'm sure it's true on most flights. Check your privilege."

Voordelen: "Once we finally departed the flight timing was excellent."
Nadelen: "This was the first flight out. Flight was delayed and there was no gate agent that communicated why the flight was delayed. When we were finally able to board, it was NOT done by group number and thus I had to check my bag."
Voordelen: "Flight attendants were perfect"
Nadelen: "Beginning about 5.5 hours prior to departure I started getting text and email alerts indicating a sixty minute delay. Then thirty minute delay. Then sixty. Then none. I had to decide whether ir not to believe the alerts, get some things done and change my airport departure time .... or to disregard the alerts. Flight ended up leaving on time. Why the alerts??"
Voordelen: "On-board staff were professional and kept everything running smoothly and with great communication from the pilot."
Nadelen: "Claiming baggage at LaGuardia was an hours-long process for everyone on the flight leading to raised tension and lots of tired folks on what was already a late (and delayed flight)."

Voordelen: "Immigration in Dallas was amazing, so quick and no fuss."

Voordelen: "We had to wait in the airplane upon arrival in La Guardia NY because wheelchair was not ready."
Voordelen: "All service once on board was lovely"
Nadelen: "Surprised by a snarky employee at gate check for my connecting flight home today. I fly with AA nearly every week for work. They grabbed my bag from me and insisted it be checked. I said I didn’t want to pay for checking and that it contained fragile items. It was a little over-stuffed for the scale. When I went to open it and remove some bulky items to put in my purse, they snatched my suitcase away and refused to let me touch my bag. I find this to be completely unacceptable. They had the gall to suggest I go to an airport store, buy a “suitable suitcase,” and take a later flight home. They made a scene and called a supervisor who kindly and promptly let me in my suitcase. The employee then spoke negatively about me loudly to nearby colleagues and refused to make eye contact. After the supervisor let me in my bag, I got on the plane with my suitcase. At one point, this employee made me feel like I was going to be kicked off of my flight; this was so unnecessary and extremely unprofessional. AA - your employees are better than this."
Voordelen: "The staff did their best to compensate for the 4 1/2 hour departure delay, getting us Panera sandwiches and snacks."
Nadelen: "The 4 1/2 hour departure delay"
Voordelen: "Attentive and friendly crew."
Nadelen: "I would consistency with the flights. The plane I took from NYC to MIA had individual montiors and served a variety of snacks. The flight from MIA to NYC had on pretzels and you had no options for entertainment."
Voordelen: "Great flight. Nice airplanes and friendly hostesses."

Nadelen: "Flight attendant called cops on passenger sitting next to me to be escorted off the plane for no reason!"
Nadelen: "Flight was cancelled we were re-routed and didn't get there until 24hours later."
Voordelen: "Everything was on time and great."
Nadelen: "Ever thing was fine."
Voordelen: "The flight staff had an amazing energy about them especially for 7am. They didn't do anything above or beyond but they extremely pleasant, energetic, and courteous. The pilots also pulled off the one of the smoothest landings ever."
Voordelen: "Just being able get home."
Nadelen: "After madly rushing to get to the gate, we found out 5 minutes before scheduled boarding time that there would be a 15 minute delay in boarding. After that, we were told there would be another 30 minute delay. Once we were on board and the cabin doors were closed we were told there would be another 55 minute delay. Also, LGA is such a mess these days due to construction and would have been nice to get an email notification beforehand about it. We barely made our outgoing flight!"
Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "Both flights, to and from around had to go search for my baggage and on the return flight I even had to go to a different terminal. The service is unacceptable. I will never fly with AA again."
Voordelen: "On time. Good leg room."
Nadelen: "Valet flight, i.e. even normal sized carry-on cannot be stowed above the seat We arrived at the gate 20 min before departure, due to TSA delays. But they closed the door and no one was around to even talk to. At least they put us in the next flight.... Still, as we're not checking in any bags, they could have let us in."
Nadelen: "Older plane"
Nadelen: "The flight attendant continued to serve alcohol to passengers (employees of TomKats catering - they screamed it throughout the flight) that were drunk and belligerent. Her poor judgement, and their complete lack of control, made the flight miserable."
Voordelen: "A short flight that was even shorter because we arrived early. Luggage arrived promptly at Baggage Claim, too. American has flights between Chicago and New York practically every hour, which is very convenient. They might as well have a shuttle. Gate staff and flight attendants friendly and helpful. Love the upgraded individual consoles for the entertainment."
Nadelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "No gluten free snacks"
Nadelen: "Itthe ground staff (red coat agents) at MIA extremely unhelpful and arrogant. I am visually impaired, asked for assistance to check luggage, asked for assistance and was simply tol to go to end of the line at a counter that was at least fifty yards away. Upon my. O planning of the lack of service as simply to go talk to the manager."
Nadelen: "Baggage claim took extremely long time. It took a while before the baggage crew even became aware of situation."
Nadelen: "Once again the boarding process was a mess. No clear directions given on when groups should board so everyone from every group bombarded the gate. This slowed down finding overhead bin space and getting seated for everybody. Delayed everything when there was such an easy solution."
Voordelen: "Crew was very professional and courteous. Our plane landed early which is a plus"
Nadelen: "I didn't like the fact some of the seats appeared to be dirty , I sat on a book."
Voordelen: "Volare con American"
Nadelen: "No snacks offered! No alcohol drinks offered!"
Voordelen: "The flight board on time, the crew was hospitable and seat was comfortable."
Voordelen: "Being able to have my own individual entertainment. Staff handled the situation at hand with dealing with everyone's frustration pretty well."
Nadelen: "That we had to wait for a pilot to show up for the original pilot fidnt show up for work. Then had to deboard just to get back on 15 minutes later as too many people wanted to get off, which delayed take off."

On the plus side: Short, easy flight with no issues. On the minus side: Coach seats are narrow, uncomfortable, & close-packed. The flight was full, I felt totally sardined and I am NOT a large person. Also, as the flight was taxiing to the runway they played what felt like an endless stream of commercials with the audio broadcast through the plane's speakers. And of course, the one speaker directly over my head was SO FREAKING LOUD I needed to put my fingers in my ears. That volume also applied to virtually every announcement that was made over the course of the flight as well. So yeah - we got there quickly and in one piece, but it was a fairly miserable experience.

Nadelen: "Lack of communication. Crew was unattentitive and seemed to not know protocol or appear to have things under the control."
Voordelen: "Where do i start? It’s a short flight to be sure but air canada planes never feel like many Other airlines’ mini planes or puddle jumpers. they seem new, spacious, seat back Entertainemnt, just great. Also, there is no scrimping on Service. How many Delta or united or American flights have i taken on this route only to be told “coffee or water” and sometimes no coffee “the flight is too short”. Nonsense! Granted I was in business, but I had a full hot breakfast served and a full array of beverages offered. It AC can do it, everyone can. The flight attendant was lovely."

Nadelen: "I was disappointed that for the first time since I have been flying, they did not allow my carry-on with me. It was not that bad though because by the time I got through customs and made it to the baggage carousel the bag was waiting for me."
Voordelen: "Flight was delayed 6 hours"
Nadelen: "Getting stuck at the boarding area for 6 hours in normal weather with no particular hazards for flying. Crew was good. They did their job."
Voordelen: "This time I didn't have to pick up my luggage in Toronto, it was lucky!"
Nadelen: "Nothing"
Voordelen: "Comfortable econom."
Nadelen: "Too many announcements"
Voordelen: "considering all the delays, both in delay in leaving Amsterdam and holding pattern due to thunderstorms in Toronto all went well in a very long day."
Nadelen: "The condescending flight attendant at the gate who wouldn't assign me a seat and gave me guilt for not paying for extra leg room or preferred seating when Air Canadas site wasn't working"
Voordelen: "Niets"
Nadelen: "Oncomfortabele stoelen, Inflight entertainment werkte slecht"
Nadelen: "Why have automated checkin and then still have to wait in massively long line to drop off your luggage. Do it like Jet Blue or Virgin or any of the other show up, auto check in, bag tags, separate line for smart efficient people to drop off their bags and get on with it. Its just so inefficient and puts a complete damper on the trip......maybe curbside checkin also."
Voordelen: "Service was on time & staff was friendly and helpful."
Nadelen: "On the flight back, we had to wait on the airplane for a good hour before we could disembark. But that was due to heavy traffic at the airport and not the fault of the airline."
Voordelen: "The flight was no cancel because the weather"
Nadelen: "Waiting too much after landing in LGA"
Nadelen: "Flight cancelled without ever receiving any notice -- I found out when I was in the security line. Waited 1.5 hours to talk to an agent. On standby for 7 hours. No food vouchers. Air Canada agents gave very little information, didn't care at all that they had cancelled dozens of flights."
Nadelen: "They lost our luggage not only on the way to our destination but also on the way home both times in Toronto"
Nadelen: "Delay was not explained, gate change was not communicated. Poor communication overall."
Voordelen: "TV entertainment even for a short flight"
Voordelen: "I've flown air Canada probably 6 times. I've been delays 3 times"
Nadelen: "Delays"
Voordelen: "Air Canada was kind enough to give us a hotel voucher."
Nadelen: "The flight was cancelled and we weren't informed until we arrived at the airport. An email was supposedly sent, but I didn't receive it. We had to fly out the next morning and missed half a day of work. Fortunately, we didn't have anything important scheduled."
Voordelen: "No issues with the plane or service itself but we were stuck waiting for a replacement plan for a late night flight and departed 4 hours after schedule."
Voordelen: "The crew was very pleasant and welcoming. The aircraft was very visibly clean, and my seat was comfortable. Most importantly the flight was on time and the boarding process was properly supervised."
Nadelen: "I'm 65 years of age and have been travelling by air since I was 5. (You know back when airplanes had piston engines and propellers). So the tings I don't like are what you might expect. I don't like that I have to pay extra for a seat with adequate legroom. I don't like being charged for the most basic of Wi-Fi connections. (Delta's and Amtrak's are free). Although this was a very short flight, the passengers could have been offered the option of either cookies or pretzels, instead of everyone being stuck with pretzels."
Voordelen: "In flight entertainment"
Nadelen: "The credit was not polite and quite unfriendly."
Voordelen: "Nice interior. Free movies."
Nadelen: "Air Canada is always delayed."
Nadelen: "Mad dash thru Monteal airport to make connection after 30 minute delay. Rep just before customs had a bad scanner and couldn't scan my boarding pass on my phone. Sent me back to find an Air Canada rep in customer service. That rep's scanner worked, and then they had a five minute discussion about it. Had to go back thru passenger scanning. Flight's gate was changed. Finally got to gate, flight was delayed, no updated information. Another 30 minute wait on the tarmac. Flight attendant in business class didn't do a cabin check before take off, man next to me continued phone convo during taxi-to-take-off whilst two gentlemen in front of me had their seats back for take-off. Bad service."
Voordelen: "Flight was on time.service good ."
Nadelen: "Flight attended was not great .Too much walking in the terminal."
Nadelen: "The lavatory sink was clogged. The audio to movies was inaudible, as though the picture was streaming and the audio was lost. The crew offered little assistance to a clearly frail elderly passenger who had a very difficult time rising from her seat and using the lavatory."
Voordelen: "Since it was a very short flight from LGA to Toronto, I had no complaints, The worst part of the experience is dealing with the customs procedure at Toronto Airport before the flight but I guess that was only to be expected"
Nadelen: "Nothing."
Nadelen: "Flight delayed 2 1/2 hours, plane A/C not working. Waited for another plane. They tried to fix the first plane but they just delayed getting another plane."
Voordelen: "The crew were effective and efficient. We boarded promptly and departed on time. They were polite and friendly."
Voordelen: "On flight the flight and service was great. They need to work on the onboard section a lot."
Nadelen: "It was delayed for 2 hours not only they were late they didn't know the gate, I had to stop by the customer service they told me a wrong gate twice they didn't even announce. The most lower customer care I ever experience."
Voordelen: "Traveling back to the US have Global Emtey or Nexus Like the free movies watched half of movie on the way to acanandr and half on the way back. Thank you"
Nadelen: "Last time I traveled to Canada I probably used a passport. BUT I never knew that I needed it I thought u could travel with my drivers lisence. Remind travelers to take their passport"
Voordelen: "Spacious, leg room"
Nadelen: "Temperature, cold. Needs interior upgrade."
Voordelen: "It was a short flight and I shared my seating with average weight people. The crew members and the pilots were very informative."
Nadelen: "During a short flight there is not much to experimented and less to comment."
Voordelen: "Since we arrived at the airport very early we asked about whether we could change to an earlier flight. The agent was extremely accommodating and confirmed us on an earlier flight with no additional charge. Bravo Air Canada!"
Voordelen: "The crew was friendly and polite."
Nadelen: "You really need to make those seats somewhat more comfortable. I'm an average sized person I think, 5'6" and 150 lbs, but I found the seats very hard and generally small. Also, please stop serving those hot pockets as a snack and please top charging for potato chips!"

Nadelen: "Our return flight NYC to Victoria was delayed at La Guardia by 1.5 hours which reduced our rating from excellent to good."

Voordelen: "Seat, pillow and blanket were clean. Flight arrived on time, luggage was intact and there were no issues boarding or de-boarding."
Nadelen: "Booked 4 months in advance - flew solo. Only window seat left was at the very back, near where the crew prepared everything. The entire flight was spent listening to them prepare meals, discuss their trip itinerary, shifts and how Air Canada treats them, as employees, so poorly. The crew were very short with most passengers and it seemed over staffed."

Nadelen: "My original flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems and then agent got me in a other flight to Newark which was the last one to NY and then there was a delay of at least 1hr to take off. Most likely, I will not travel with air canada again and I'm not recommending to friends since they are always delay with their flights."
