Nadelen: "We booked our plane reservations through Kayak . My sister booked my reservation along with hers at the same time. Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Voordelen: "The premium economy clas was wonderful. All of the amenities, comfort, room made a long trip far more enjoyable. The crew was right there to help me get to the next gate."
Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Voordelen: "Staff were amazingly helpful n friendly. Food was yummy."

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

Nadelen: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Voordelen: "Air dolomiti - great service, prosecco in a real glass and with small sandwich provided."

Nadelen: "Leg room in economy is inadequate for international flights. Seats had no cushion left in seat bottoms. It was like sitting on cement."

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."

Voordelen: "Flight was on an updated airplane. Liked the restrooms downstairs."

Nadelen: "My ticket didn't specifically say I'm not allowed to have check-in luggage, so I needed to pay extra for that. I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"

Voordelen: "Seats comfortable. Decent legroom. Crew pleasant. Food was very good especially for a very short flight."
Nadelen: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."

Voordelen: "Our flight out of Amsterdam was roughly 30 minutes late. Since we were connecting to an International flight to return to the US there was no possibility we would be able to get to the International terminal through security and board our flight in the time available. So, Lufthansa staff met the connecting passengers as we disembarked, shuttled us via bus to the International terminal and ensured we made our connection. Finally, for airline food it was quite good (Vegan)."

Nadelen: "This was NOT a Lufthansa flight. The plane was a United flight. One of the worst I have experienced in 40 years of flying to Europe and Hawaii."

Nadelen: "They didn’t have a pilot assigned to our flight. Had to wait 3 hours for a pilot to arrive. 😞. Thank goodness I wasn’t in a hurry to get to my destination."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed almost an hour while we were already on the plane. Minor mechanical issue that could’ve been handled at destination. The seat was super uncomfortable and I would’ve appreciated at least some more from the crew, like maybe even a bottle of water or something."

Voordelen: "A bit more legroom than united airlines. Tvs were a plus. The service was excellent and they give you a full can of soda instead of just a dram."

Voordelen: "The crew looked tired and somewhat friendly. We were delayed about 45 mins and they really didn’t communicate much the Captain did. On the ground we had to wait 20mins for the jet bridge and the door to open and no one said anything. The plane was shut down and turned on again too."

Nadelen: "Flight was cancelled, some staff I dealt with to rebook had some attitude issues, others where fine. Overall not very transparent throughout the process. Definitely could've been much more helpful."

Nadelen: "plane was too hot...AA needs to keep a lower temp and pump air through their plane...on a crowded flight like this was, claustrophobia set in. First time I ever experienced this."

Voordelen: "Knowing what carousel luggage was at - I suppose."
Nadelen: "Extended wait times in taxi departing and landing - took over an hour longer than expected. LaGuardia airport forced passengers to take their car services by walking outside and waiting in a parking garage with (12 degree Fahrenheit feels like -4 and 20 mph winds). Felt frostbite, couldn’t move fingers, and have a sinus headache. absolutely appalling this is NY and USA - yet we can’t have car services pick up pasengers outside the door of the airport, instead require to walk 7 minutes and stand in a freezing air tunnel airport garage. Changes my mind on flying to LAGUARDIA in the future"

Nadelen: "They lost my luggage. They did not allow me to take her whit me in the plane because i did not fit a suitcase that always travel on top because is small suitcase terrible I will never travel again with amercan airlines"

Nadelen: "Our last 6 flights have all been changed or delayed significantly. Then they loose our bags on a direct flight. Won’t fly America airlines again!"

Voordelen: "De stewardessen in t vliegtuig waren erg aardig en hulpvaardig"
Nadelen: "Nieuwe regels waarbij je je koffertje onder je stoel moet plaatsen of extra moet betalen om hem in de ruimte boven je hoofd te mogen plaatsen. Er is wel 5x gevraagd of ik wel zeker wist dat die van mij onder mijn stoel paste!!"

Nadelen: "Sitting next to emergency exit door with a peep hole for light. Also next to toilette so everyone had to pass us. No overhead above us so our medical and personal items were stowed in 3 places initially."

Voordelen: "Same size and capacity flight, my instrument was not an issue."
Nadelen: "For the love of god American Airlines you can’t have one person threaten to arrest you for trying to carry a guitar onboard and then someone else on a flight two hours later personally assist you in packing the same guitar into an overhead."

Voordelen: "The in flight staff was very friendly"
Nadelen: "Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("

Nadelen: "X"

Nadelen: "Took off late from Minneapolis only to announce that there was something wrong with the plane, no explanation as to what but that we had to circle to burn off fuel before returning to Minneapolis. Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."

Voordelen: "Everything went smoothly."

Nadelen: "We arrived in Amsterdam at 9am, after traveling two hours to get there. We found out right away that there was a delay and chances of missing the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Orlando were great. We requested a different booking to insure travel to Orlando, which was denied. So the connecting flight was missed and after hours arrived in Orlando at midnight. Missed my ride and all car rentals were booked. All this caused a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. Very disappointing. And to add to it, the flight itself was horrible and there was no entertainment available for the entire flight."

Voordelen: "Rarely do I find the airline food excellent, or even good. But the Pasta dish on the Amsterdam-to-Philly flight that is what I experienced, absolutely delicious."

Voordelen: "Dat er qua breedte aardig wat ruimte was"
Nadelen: "Dat de gordel eigenlijk net te krap was"

Voordelen: "The available movies and games in personal screen"
Nadelen: "Seat selection"

Nadelen: "When I arrived at the gate, the flight was on time, but no aircraft was at the gate. The gate attendants left at the time we were supposed to Board, then the departure time changed on the board and no announcement was made. Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

Voordelen: "The mobile updates were helpful and timely."
Nadelen: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."

Nadelen: "Their customer service was no help and didn't know why. So o scrambled to buy a last minute ticket home from the Netherlands."

Voordelen: "i like the wifi internet that AA provided. Great movies"
Nadelen: "The flight attendants were highly rude and i felt as if i was discriminated on. I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

Nadelen: "I am missing two items that I had in my checked bag and my clothes and belongings were all messy as if it had been gone through. I am very upset that these items were likely taken by whoever went through my bag."

Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "Flight attendant called cops on passenger sitting next to me to be escorted off the plane for no reason!"

Nadelen: "Flight was cancelled we were re-routed and didn't get there until 24hours later."

Nadelen: "Late late cancelled chaos in reassignment late late One agent threw up hands said I'm done and left with long line of passengers not yet reassigned Person behind me asked why didn't we take Delta?"

Voordelen: "Everything was on time and great."
Nadelen: "Ever thing was fine."

Voordelen: "the team was great, boarsing smooth, arrived early"
Nadelen: "we waited an hour for the bags to arrive on the carousel. What's that about? Get it together and have the bags out in time. We're just sitting here waiting for them over an hour - there are no other arrivals in this terminal. What's going on?"

Nadelen: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Voordelen: "Very efficient boarding, comfortable coach seats, good crew"
Nadelen: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Voordelen: "I like that the crew was professional and courteous."
Nadelen: "That I was there and hour before my flight and my seat was given up. I didn't like that people are allowed to retract all the way making my flight uncomfortable."

Voordelen: "First time traveling with my dog and it went well."
Nadelen: "Nothing"

Voordelen: "Everything was great!"
Nadelen: "The overhead bin space of this airplane was too small. My suitcase, which fits on every other type of plane, could not fit on this one. I had to check it and then go grab it at baggage claim, therefore having to go through security again. This was not the most convient for a tight connection."

Nadelen: "Screen is slow and outdated. Easy upgrade from one class to another."

Nadelen: "We had one checked bag and it did not arrive when we landed. Told it was on the next flag but did not arrive until after midnight."

Nadelen: "given that Air Canada's computer had crashed and flights were cancelled (including our own), the lack of information was astounding. Why, e.g., didn't anyone go along the queue handing out numbers so people could get food then reclaim their place in line? Why weren't we told, ditto, how long this mess would take to clear up? why weren't we offered o/n stays, etc, etc. Could have done an awful lot better if some manager had spent two minutes thinking!!"

Nadelen: "Lack of communication. Crew was unattentitive and seemed to not know protocol or appear to have things under the control."

Nadelen: "The airline crew keep on pushing back the departure due to bad weather. No discipline while boarding passengers. Delay after landing to open the door. No clear instructions about the delays"

Nadelen: "Although we boarded on time, there was a wait of over 1.5h in the plane. First time in my life i was beyond uncomfortable. What i couldn't understand was why we had to be in the plane for the refueling. It makes more sense to wait in the airport at the gate rather in a tight confined place. I'm overall pissed at the situation. Not to mention my seat was defective and although the seat was up, it would push back the moment you put weight. The flight attendant kept on asking me to place my seat in the upright position (which wasn't possible). To get her off my back, i held my back up with my own weight. I'm disappointed with aircanada."

Voordelen: "squeeze me into an earlier flight"
Nadelen: "Everything good."

Nadelen: "There was only one staff working at the gate, and one family with kids seemed somehow stuck with their documents. This kept all other passengers,who had already Lined up, waiting for quite a while. Some people grew impatient."

Nadelen: "Not impressed with luggage fees that were not indicate but hidden in price - and all the nickle and diming on every little thing.. ruins the overall experience"

Voordelen: "Les sièges étaient spacieux."

Nadelen: "Some of it was air canada, some of it was weather and some of it was the montreal airport. scheduled for 6:00 rescheduled 7:00 rescheduled 8:00 boarded 8:30 took off 10:00 1. air caanda - boarded the plane, then came on with announcement that we would be sitting on tarmac for an 1.5 hours. We were delayed for hour and half already, why load us and make us sit in a warm aircraft. Air Canada offered us 10.00 vouchers for dinner... problem was they did it so late nothing was open. It should have been done earlier. 2. weather - caused the initial problem in NYC, no fault of air canada. 3. Montreal airport - Our gates were switched 3 times during the delays. Which happens, however the gate changes started at one end of the airport, moved to the other end of the airport and back to the original end."

Voordelen: "Great airline for food and service."
Nadelen: "For couples traveling in business Air Canada's seating is designed to de-couple by placing barriers between seats . They need to try Emerites to check out how a pod should work Entertainment is limited"

Voordelen: "I brace myself every time I fly Air Canada. Things often go wrong or are frustrating in some way. So I prepare myself mentally. Although there was a takeoff delay and the boarding procedure was confusing, this flight went fairly smoothly, compared to other fiascos I have had with Air Canada."
Nadelen: "Air Canada has an opportunity to be excellent and they keep hanging on to mediocrity. I think it is either a corporate culture that does not see things from the customer perspective, or a morale problem that shows up as ground staff who do not want to be there. Also, Terminal 1 is a hassle. You check in at the kiosk, only to have to line up for 30 min. to drop your bag off. If I could, I would only fly WestJet."

Voordelen: "The plane itself was fairly comfortable, and every seat had its own TV/movie screen, which was nice."
Nadelen: "Our flight was delayed six hours and fifteen minutes, and the entire six hours and fifteen minutes was filled with poor communication. No one could tell us what was going on. There was rarely even an Air Canada representative at our gate's desk area. We were given nothing to remotely compensate for our very long delay aside from a few thanks and a puny bag of pretzels."

Nadelen: "Fact that when my flt was delayed it was too late notice and then when it got cancelled no communication. Poor customer service. ."

Voordelen: "I received an overall warm treatment from the staff and the flight wasnt delayed therefore I made it to NYC right on time for my appointment :) Thanks Air Canada!"

Nadelen: "They lost our luggage not only on the way to our destination but also on the way home both times in Toronto"

Voordelen: "My 55 min flight ended up taking nearly 3 hours since there were about 9 people that needed to gate check their bags. Air Canada needs to figure a better way to gauge the carryon situation. People had giant bags that just couldn't fit in the overhead. Also- there were far too many people with carry one. I paid to check my bag... then got stuck with my backpack under my feet and jacket in my lap for 2.5 hours as we sat on the runway."
Nadelen: "To be honest, nothing specific stands out. The whole ordeal was pretty much a nightmare. We were offered some pretzels and water while we sat on the runway for hours."

Nadelen: "There was a long wait at bag check with a handful of people checking in and handling complaints and seating change requests. This could have been more streamlined-- maybe a separate line for people just dropping off their bags and customer service. Otherwise, once it was or turn, everything went smoothly until the end of the flight"

Nadelen: "delay upon delay due to maintenance then delayed again because the flight crew left due to the delays and a new crew had to be found. 1.5 hours of delay in total but we were only told a few minutes at a time so aggravating"

Nadelen: "- Delayed from take off for over two hours. During this time, pilot and flight attendants shared minimal information with passengers. - At one point, I asked a flight attendant for water because I had a migraine and wanted to take some Advil. He told me he couldn't right now because the pilot wanted everyone in their seats, but he would get it for me as soon as possible. When I followed up 45 minutes later, the same flight attendant apologized and said that it was because he didn't want everyone asking for waters. We were stuck on that plane for over two hours, and you can't get people water? - Gate check was not available, meaning that I had to check my carry-on when there was no more space available (my bag met the carry-on size requirements)."

Voordelen: "No issues with the plane or service itself but we were stuck waiting for a replacement plan for a late night flight and departed 4 hours after schedule."

Nadelen: "I didn't like that the security/passport control was the slowest of any airport I have ever been in! We almost missed our flight because security was looking through (literally) every single bag and then the passport control only had 2 people for each visa/passport holders. Then, after running to catch our flight, the flight was delayed an hour AFTER they had already let everyone board the plane. People were telling them they had alerts on their phone, while boarding, yet still let everyone board. Overall, bad experience."

Voordelen: "I think I got great fair, so thanks for that! getting a boarding pass was easy....it was nice experience."
Nadelen: "I know it is a short flight....but how much does it cost to offer a snack and drink....$4/5 may be. we start quite early from home....flight may be just 1 and half hour but total journey for us takes more than 4 hours."

Voordelen: "The flight was relatively comfortable."
Nadelen: "Air Canada has a policy where they will automatically put you on stand by if you do not check in an hour before your flight time. This policy was not stated in any of the emails we received. We were put on stand by and then removed from a flight we had paid for and checked in to."

Voordelen: "My overall flight was smooth, the crew was friendly."
Nadelen: "All of my Air Canada flights were delayed, it was a real inconvenience."

Nadelen: "Flew 2/3 of way to NYC & retrurned to Montreal due to weather. Sat in plane at gate for 2+ hours before flight cancelled: weather + crew had reached time limit. Very little help in re-booking flight for next day: had to do it on your own online. No help re finding hotel for the night."

Voordelen: "Nice interior. Free movies."
Nadelen: "Air Canada is always delayed."

Nadelen: "Boarding was slow and chaotic because of the number of passengers bringing oversize carry-on bags, presumably to try to avoid the checked-bag fee. The overhead bins filled up early, and passengers squabbled over the available space and objected when flight attendants told them they would have to gate-check their bags. The aisle was congested and blocked for long periods of time as people tried to fit their bags into the bin, and the plane left the gate more than 15 minutes late because of the slow boarding. There were about 100 people on the flight, but only about 20 at baggage claim (including at least two family groups), another indication that the checked-bag fee caused passengers to bring oversize carry-on bags. The overall rating for this flight would be significantly higher if it weren't for the boarding process."

Nadelen: "The lavatory sink was clogged. The audio to movies was inaudible, as though the picture was streaming and the audio was lost. The crew offered little assistance to a clearly frail elderly passenger who had a very difficult time rising from her seat and using the lavatory."

Voordelen: "Traveling back to the US have Global Emtey or Nexus Like the free movies watched half of movie on the way to acanandr and half on the way back. Thank you"
Nadelen: "Last time I traveled to Canada I probably used a passport. BUT I never knew that I needed it I thought u could travel with my drivers lisence. Remind travelers to take their passport"

Voordelen: "First time flying on the largest airline in Canada and had a positive experience. From the online check in process to returning home it was a smooth trip"

Voordelen: "Very comfortable and a wide range of new films to keep me entertained the whole flight"
Nadelen: "Airplane food is hard to be better than okay. On par with other companies and the snacks handed out were welcomed, the hot meal was only edible."

Voordelen: "Spacious, leg room"
Nadelen: "Temperature, cold. Needs interior upgrade."

Voordelen: "Since we arrived at the airport very early we asked about whether we could change to an earlier flight. The agent was extremely accommodating and confirmed us on an earlier flight with no additional charge. Bravo Air Canada!"

Voordelen: "Nothing in particular."
Nadelen: "Initial plane had mechanical problem before we boarded, so we were delayed and sent to a different gate. Delays became incrementally longer, announcements were not as quick as they should have been -- e.g. I learned of the gate change from another passenger rather than the crew at the gate. Then, the flight we did catch was delayed in the air due to congestion at LaGuardia. AC was too cold for me. Admittedly some of these problems were well outside Air Canada's control, but the communication weaknesses were their fault."

Voordelen: "On time and short! Everything was good"
Nadelen: "Great"

Nadelen: "Change of boarding gate at last minute, no food service in rear of plane due to turbulence however front of plane was served"

Voordelen: "Super sweet and chatty flight attendant and check in agent the second day."
Nadelen: "Not the airline's fault but our flight got cancelled once we were already in the take off track due to bad weather in NYC (heavy rain!!!???) Having gone through US customs and the long way of security and check in and all. We were carrying 7 big bags as we were moving into the US and handling those many bags was a nightmare, we had to do it two days in a row!!! I lost a night booked in a hotel in NYC as I didn't know if we were getting a later flight until just too late to cancel. Very confusing to get to the right place to rebook, even Air Canada employees seemed confused. Rebooking agent took ages. We had paid for preference seats and finally we got terrible last row seats in the rebooked flight. We haven't been refunded since!! Delays and more delays on the rebooked flight again."

Voordelen: "Absolutely nothing"
Nadelen: "A 12 hour delay is not okay. The hotel comp was nice but they split my group of 5 into different hotels. The breakfast voucher did not work. The dinner voucher barely covered the cost at the designated restaurant. Customer service was extremely unaccomadating."

Voordelen: "The crew tried to be nice."
Nadelen: "No attention. I was told that my bag was missing and was left in Rome. I was worried the whole flight."

Voordelen: "Seat, pillow and blanket were clean. Flight arrived on time, luggage was intact and there were no issues boarding or de-boarding."
Nadelen: "Booked 4 months in advance - flew solo. Only window seat left was at the very back, near where the crew prepared everything. The entire flight was spent listening to them prepare meals, discuss their trip itinerary, shifts and how Air Canada treats them, as employees, so poorly. The crew were very short with most passengers and it seemed over staffed."

Voordelen: "Quick fight-I slept for the whole flight."
Nadelen: "Delayed for over an hour. Not enough seating be at the terminal."

Nadelen: "Very poor communication and co-ordination when flight was delayed and then cancelled. Rebooking was only available via the phone, even when at the airport, with a 45 minute hold time. Everyone kept passing the buck to another, and no supervisors were around. Terrible customer service!"

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed over 3 hours, boarding could have been delayed to avoid sitting on the tarmac for such a long period of time in the plane. That is EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE for travellers. If Air Canada knows the departure will be delayed, boarding of the aircraft should be delayed"

Voordelen: "It was on-time, left enough time to reach connections and my bag arrived."
Nadelen: "None."

Nadelen: "Screaming babies who’s parents let’s the run around, people listening to movies without head phones"

Nadelen: "They overcrowded the flight in the middle of a global pandemic which shows they only care about making money and they do NOT care about the health and safety of their passengers."

Voordelen: "Quick trip !"
Nadelen: "Getting off was congested, people all got up at once"

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for approximately 3 hours for mechanical problems."

Nadelen: "United is awesome."

Voordelen: "Our tickets did not come with seat assignments. Some kind soul, (the nice young lady who checked us in at the airport perhaps?) assigned us two seats together near the front in economy plus. We really enjoyed those spacious, convenient seats! Also, the entertainment (movies) were free and recent."
Nadelen: "Honestly, nothing. This was one of our best flights home from Europe with United."

Voordelen: "Very kind and professional cabin crew."

Nadelen: "I was sitting two rows from the bathroom and the entire time the bathroom reeked of urine. It was unbearable."

Voordelen: "Did not really like it."
Nadelen: "More communication from the boarding staff. The delays kept increasing. Due to weather, we were delayed 4 hrs. They only decided to accommodate everyone with water and snacks 3 hrs into the delay."

Voordelen: "Very well-run flight. Crew was on top of everything. Very cheery."

Nadelen: "They had no room for my carry on, I had to place it under my seat making my legs very comfortable."

Voordelen: "It was nice and smooth. The crew was great, especially Urere, our stewardess. Comfort and food were good, on par with the nickel diming of airlines."
Nadelen: "Comfort can be greatly improved."

Voordelen: "We landed in NYC -- although it was first announced as Dulles."
Nadelen: "This flight was on Canadian Air under the auspices of United. I was not allowed into the United Club lounge despite the fact that I had business class ticket. I was informed that a business class ticket isn't sufficient for using the lounge when flying domestic. It is only good when flying international. They call that customer service. I generally avoid domestic airlines because of the customer service. The flight attendants were not happy to serve you. It's a small flight but they didn't even offer a snack -- you had to ask for it. And then they brought over a small basket with nuts, chips, candy bars, and a muffin. I took a muffin and it stuck to the roof of my mouth -- very poor quality. When I asked for a snack the flight attendant replied cocktail or soft drink never saying whether or not a snack was available.. She said this a couple of times before I could repeat that I wanted a snack to which she replied you want something to drink with that. I've been on many short flights in Asia and they will deliver a full meal and you don't have to ask for it. There was no entertainment but United did send an email explaining how I could purchase entertainment to play on my own device."

Nadelen: "We were forced to use another airline and we landed in NYC about 5 hours later."

Voordelen: "The flight time was short"
Nadelen: "Cabin crew seemed cold and distracted I was done of the last to board because I came off a connecting flight. And I was made to check my carry-on at the gate, however when I boarded the plane I saw plenty of overhead room. The carry-on bag that I had to check was scoffed."

Voordelen: "Nothing. I didn't take the flight."
Nadelen: "They didn't get me to New York. Our original aircraft was stolen to use for another flight. So we needed to wait for another plane that wasn't due until 90 minutes after our scheduled departure. This second plane had maintainence issues. After 4 hours waiting I got on a Delta flight."

Voordelen: "The availability of media to watch on the long overseas flight was helpful to avoid boredom."
Nadelen: "Flight attendants passed out headsets to hear the media, my set was missing one of the foam ear pads. When I called it to the attention of a flight attendant, she took my set and did not return with one, causing me to search out my telephone headset."

Voordelen: "For the most part the staff made an attempt to help me get onto a flight. I think."
Nadelen: "I had to go on my trip a few days later due to a work conflict. I never changed my itinerary because I didn’t think it mattered. I bought a new one way ticket on a different airline and went to get on my return flight that I had paid for and was still receiving emails about. I got to the airport to check in for my return flight and it had been canceled because I didn’t get on the first leg. I was never notified and they couldn’t get me on the flight I wanted because it was leaving in less than hour(which is a stupid rule). And to get me on a flight the next day would cost $2500. No thanks. And before anyone tells me that it’s in the fine print that they cancel a flight if you don’t show up, save it. We all know people don’t read all that. Be a human being. So if your plans change, make sure you officially change your plans, because they may go above, but probably not beyond. Oh and it took quite a long time for them to figure out what happened. If they had realized and I didn’t spend so much time on the phone with customer service, I might’ve been outside the hour window requirement."

Nadelen: "Pilot admitted error. They did not even know what was going on. 3 hours late due to last min maintenance after the plane had been on the ground since last night. No supervisor came even though we asked the captain to contact one. We were ignored. Total clusterfuck. Pilot was courteous and professional but front desk was Frazzled and incompetent. We were hugely inconvenienced and missed our obligations with no offer of compensation. Then when we finally get on the plane they kick us off!!!!!!!!!! Now they are saying a 630 departure for a 2 pm flight. This is beyond acceptable and I am about to call the local news and am sending them video of your gross incompetence. I want to be contacted at 815-527-1935 immediately. My time is valuable and no part of this delay is acceptable. I want full flight vouchers for this debacle"

Voordelen: "The staff were super attentive, they kept walking down the aisle with cups of water and interacted with the passengers throughout the flight. The crew seemed to work very well together, I could sense a great harmony between them that really put all of us passengers at ease. I am quick to complain about US carriers and have had some awful experiences flying US airline companies, so feel the need to really compliment this crew. If other United flights are like this, I will definitely fly them again."

Nadelen: "United's flight was delayed by 6 hours, couldn't make the connecting flight from Washington DC to Denver so they routed me to san francisco, spend the night at the airport there and then travel to Denver in the morning. Fortunately there was a very helpful crew in Schiphol that was able to get us on a flight with american airlines to philadelphia and then on to Denver."

Voordelen: "I like that it was through United Airline, which I’m a member of so I got to board a littler earlier"
Nadelen: "The food could have been better. Everything had cheese which I don’t eat."

Voordelen: "Friendly gate attendant. Flight was early into LGA. Going through check in and security was a breeze in Denver, even with the long lines, a lot faster than what was expected."
Nadelen: "Wouldn't allow me to connect to the "free" entertainment. The leg room was lacking even for someone at only 5'7""

Nadelen: "Insufficient meals available for the passengers. Flight time was moved back twice and then up. It can really cause problems for people when departure times are moved up. In flight programs were good but no headphones provided. Good thing we brought some!"

Voordelen: "The gate crew was nice. I like the smaller plane."
Nadelen: "Too MANY Announcements . There were too many automated announcements and crew announcements after take off. There were about 6-8 announcements during a 1.5 hour flight at 7am. The first 5 announcements were the same, no new information until 1hr into flight."

Nadelen: "I think Kayak wasn't clear that Lufhansa and United are partners....all that Kayak put on my ticket was United. When I went to JFK I could not find United international and the airport info people said it's Lufhatnasa and then when I went to Schipol airport and went to Lufhtansa they said there is a United international check in. Kayak cost me a lot of walking and delays because they were not clear on what airline out of which airport."

Voordelen: "on time"
Nadelen: "Seat pitch smaller than every other airline (except frontier) and no free movies on demand"

Nadelen: "The air hostess were horrible!! It felt like they didn't know what they were doing. We sat for hours. I had a messages that the fight was delayed before they announced it. The first gate cancellation was never announced. New passengers boarded and it was a free for all . Those passengers lied about seating and pushed their way on. We believed them until one said that United offered them an earlier flight and choice of seating."

Nadelen: "There was no gate agent until about 6 minutes before the flight was scheduled to take off and when got there they were rude to customers and dismissive."

Voordelen: "Friendly staff"
Nadelen: "All three seats were purchased together and we were all split up in different rows, 3 hr flight and you have to pay for any movie with only a selection of tv clips to try and induce you to spend $"

Voordelen: "The comfy seats"
Nadelen: "The fact that I had to pay to watch tv. Maybe people should have to pay for movies, but not for watching tv. Flights and till we takeoff can take a while. It would be nice to have some free entertainment. The plane was very hot when we were boarding."

Voordelen: "Eventually they moved us through realizing they were going to have an empty plane if they didn't"
Nadelen: "Terrible check in. Thought I reserved a seat on Lufthansa only to find out that United changed it."

Voordelen: "The flight left on time."
Nadelen: "One flight attendant was very grumpy--he just wanted to sit and play on his phone. He was brusque with people. The other man (who was learning French) made up for him by being nice"

Voordelen: "The first leg of this flight was excellent. Good crew, excellent service, great entertainment centers, comfortable seating, enough room in aisle to allow movement. The second leg of our journey ( From D.C. to Seattle) was another story."

Voordelen: "the United app that let me watch movies from my own device. The flight attendant gave me an extra blanket."
Nadelen: "the plane was very old and didn't have the entertainment options that newer planes have. The screen was so small and nearly impossible to see when the person in front of me reclined. The toilets weren't very clean. The food was very mediocre. I have a dairy intolerance, and both options contained dairy products. There was no lactose free or diabetic special meal option. There was an hour and a half delay to repair something on the plane when we made an emergency medical landing in Boston. I didn't mind the landing; I minded the excessive delay and wonder what would have happened if we didn't stop in Boston? What would have happened to the plan?"

Nadelen: "I required a wheelchair from gate to gate, on each gate I had to ask for it a few times, regardless that it said so in the computer. On one departure i bearly made as we ran really late. United reps seems kind of moody. Waiting for so eone to pick me up last minute made for a really stressful trip."

Voordelen: "the crew was very kind and helpful. Love the inflight entertainment"
Nadelen: "They were running about a hour late but they gave us free tv entertainment to pass the time."

Voordelen: "United spokesperson was able to get me on another flight out of O'hare. She was awesome."
Nadelen: "Nobody at the gate was helpful. They just kept saying check the board."

Nadelen: "The flight attendants were disrespectful to not only me but to other passengers. They were not attentive! The plane was dirty."

Nadelen: "It was a United flight in a extremely old plane with horrible customer service."

Voordelen: "i was moved from my flight the day earlier to this one because i was sick. thank you! flying 6 hours while sick is the WORST. and i had a window seat!"
