Nadelen: "Hotel was rubbish"
Voordelen: "We took the offer of putting cabin baggage in hold. Some of those that retained theirs had "oversized" bags that should have been taken from them at the steps of the plane. As this did not happen there were a lot of problems including the problem of opening the lockers"
Nadelen: "Stricter control on cabin bags. The result was that our bags were already on the belt when we got to customs area"

Nadelen: "If you have any problems. Do not call customer support!!! Call centre is in SA, and the operatives are unhelpful, put the phone down and incompetent. I have reservations wheather to book with BA ever again due to my bad experience. 2 hours wasted on the phone, followed by calls the next day to finally get 2 off flights cancelled and a return flight amended in my party of 3. Not fun!!"

Voordelen: "Last minute flight (booked 4 hours before departure), one way, economy, for €99 from Amsterdam to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer."
Voordelen: "Overall flight experience was pleasant and process of disembarking flight and immigration at Heathrow was superb (very quick, under 15 minutes from plane landing to being out of the airport!)."
Nadelen: "Not informed of second security queue (it was long with delays) so some anxiety had until a BA staff member arrived to allow passengers to London to cut the line. No USB power at seat."
Nadelen: "My suitcase didn't arrive at the airport in Bologna with my flight. I am still waiting for it and inside I have all I need."

Nadelen: "There was an engine problem and they told us while we were taxiing. Went back for more check nd fierce several trials they had to repair the problem. This cause a delay of two hour during which we had to sit in the plane and no drinks or snacks of any kind were offered. But what’s worse there were vague, confused and misleading information given both by the captain and the crew regarding the connecting flights. As matter of fact, although I arrived with a two hour delay and had only one hour for my connection, I followed the instructions and run like hell(literally)to the boarding gate. I made it for a few minutes. The personnel was very friendly and helpful and they made all they could to check me on the flight just to find out BA had cancelled my booking even before my arrival to London. I made it home and they apologized but this is not how I expected BA to handle a delay(which I understand can happen)."
Voordelen: "Simple flight left later than expect but arrived earlier than scheduled. Leg room was plenty and not like other airline where you feel packed like sardines."

When it came to boarding my husband who needs special assistance was first taken to board first but then had to be brought back as refuelling was not done and was then last on board. When we arrived at Heathrow his special assistance was not there and we had to wait for about 10/15 minutes. It is stressful traveling with someone who needs help and even worse when there are delays. We were advised that we could leave the aircraft which we did but we were left waiting in an area without any toilets which is a problem for him"

Nadelen: "I upgraded at the airport to Executive class, which is really a bit of a scam to be honest. It’s just the first two rows of the plane and the middle seat kept free... the seats were no different to economy. Not worth the 109€ upgrade fee."

Voordelen: "There was a major problem with my booking and I went through almost 2 hours or stress thinking I would not be let on the flight. This has never happened with Kayak. But it was really bad. TAP insisted they could not book me on as Azores Airlines from Pinta Delgado to Toronto was not booked for me. I had to call bothe airlines. With no help from the desk. I finally got both to confirm and at the last minute was allowed on the flight. I chose this route to have a nice couple of days in Portugal and I will have. But the flight start was really upsetting."
Nadelen: "I like Kayak. But am very concerned about booking through in the future with this treatment."

Nadelen: "We were never prompted to pay for our check in baggage at the time of purchase and so when we showed up we were forced to pay 85 euros for one checked bag for an international flight on top of a ticket that already cost more than $250. The luggage restrictions were never shown previously. Will never fly TAP Portugal again."

Nadelen: "The temperature in the cabin was way too cold. People we wearing their jackets and when I mentioned it to the cabin crew member she said a few other people would have to make a similar comment before she could request turning the temperature up. There was also a glitch in the system so that the reading lights for each seat could only be operated by the seat directly in front. The food was very uninspiring and poorly presented. The tea and coffee were awful!!!!!! The choice of movies,etc was very limited. Thank goodness it was a night flight and not too long!"
Voordelen: "Really nice comfortable seats, amazing windows larger then usually with new technology. Food was ok. It was nice that crew constantly was offering drinks"
Nadelen: "See above - seats worn out, entertainment worn out, Crew battling old tired aircraft. Massively overpriced. Bring on WestJet direct to Ottawa."
Voordelen: "In flight attendance was excellent and we were nearly overfed with plenty of drinks, snacks and meals. It was nice to see both young and elderly ladies as air hostess. This is a strong statement in non discrimination on Account of age in employment. To see a red Indian lady among them was very refreshing."
Nadelen: "Dimming of the windows was not user friendly and we had to put up with bright reflected lights from clouds. On ground both in Calgary and Vancouver the wheel chair attendance was not at the same level as in Frankfurt where it had been given with paramedic competence."
Nadelen: "given that Air Canada's computer had crashed and flights were cancelled (including our own), the lack of information was astounding. Why, e.g., didn't anyone go along the queue handing out numbers so people could get food then reclaim their place in line? Why weren't we told, ditto, how long this mess would take to clear up? why weren't we offered o/n stays, etc, etc. Could have done an awful lot better if some manager had spent two minutes thinking!!"
Nadelen: "Was put on a Turkish airlines flight - landed in India 12 hours AFTER scheduled landing. My luggage did not reach India. After numerous calls got only 1 out of 2 of my bags ; 2nd bag still missing 1 week after landing in India WOW"

Nadelen: "The airline crew keep on pushing back the departure due to bad weather. No discipline while boarding passengers. Delay after landing to open the door. No clear instructions about the delays"

Nadelen: "My seat was wet and i had to wait quite a while for it to be rectified. I asked to sit on a crew seat at the back of the plane and was told that i would break it. I found this rather disgusting . Seating plan is very crammed like sardines"

I was told at the airport that it needs to be submitted 24 hrs before the flight and there was nothing they could do. Really unfair and not on."
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed My wife and I got separate seats Screen and audio on the entertainment system didn't work"
Nadelen: "I bought my ticket with Air Canadafrom Vancouver to Calgary then connected with Lufthansa from Calgary to London UK. Unknown to me I could not find the flight because it had been changed to an AC reference flight. With a very short time for the connection I did not know where to get my boarding pass as my flight with Lufthansa was nowhere referred to ! Not which gate to go . Why not put it in the ticket that Lufthansa and Air Canada work together and that both flights ref should show !! It would avoid a great deal of anxiety . Only offered 1 round if hot drinks over 9 hours ! Departure delayed by nearly 60 minutes"

Nadelen: "i am à French National ( France) living in UK. After a confusing conversation from the officer not understanding that I was not travelling to France ( assumption) I was asked to show evidence I had the right to enter UK !!!! I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."

Voordelen: "I was reading so much about how cramped and uncomfortable the seats on Air Canadas 787's, but I don't think their product is any worse than most other economy class products out there."
Nadelen: "Their "continental breakfast" was a dry piece of banana bread and yoghurt. No jam, butter cheese or other spreads to compliment with your bread. Most disappointing "continental breakfast" I have had on a plane!"

Nadelen: "Not impressed with luggage fees that were not indicate but hidden in price - and all the nickle and diming on every little thing.. ruins the overall experience"
Nadelen: "Our luggage didn't scan in the system so we couldn't go to the gate until it was found & scanned in the system. Fortunately we were early so this wasn't an issue but kept us waiting at "step 2" until an actual photo could be found. We also had a delay after boarding while they changed a tire. It all worked out ok."
Voordelen: "It was a normal flight. Only one hour."
Nadelen: "Snack options could have been better, only a biscuit."
Voordelen: "Very comfortable and clean aircraft. Friendly crew. Seats at the front of Economy had excellent legroom. Helpful flight announcements from the captain."
Nadelen: "Air Canada has only one gate at Houston, which appears to be in constant use, at least in the early afternoon. If one flight is delayed in departure, it causes a backup with other flights."
Voordelen: "Liked everything about this new class of service on Air Canada. Seat was comfortable with good recline that didn't interfere with fellow passengers. Food was excellent, entertainment system was well stocked, flight attendants were friendly and high energy. Even got to use lounge and fast-track security lane at Heathrow."

Nadelen: "I paid for an upgraded seat on this flight and wished I hadn't. Whole rows of seats were empty and I would have been more comfortable in my original seating, according to the seating plan during online check in the entire plane was booked out but for a few seats."
Voordelen: "Overall a good experience. Had to pay for food but it was quite good so I didn't mind. Supposedly the crew were short staffed but I found them attentive and helpful and to be honest I believe the people who complained may have been a little precious."

Nadelen: "Flight out of Newark delayed so we were going to miss the connection. We were rebooked to fly via London but we lost 6 hours in Rome. Air Canada attendant at Newark said the flight was always delayed and passengers regularly needed to be rebooked. You should recommend air Canada cancels selling this itinerary or bringing the Newark flight forward to de risk any delays"
Nadelen: "Hair in my breakfast and they wouldn't give me another meal also by the time they reached me all the options but the overlooked egg was available they didn't explain just dumped the meal on my tray table and when I asked for the other option was told straight out no... I've flown on many airlines and that was by far the most foul meals I've ever had budget airlines do better won't fly ac anytime again.... My original flight was delayed 5 hours to connect so I was transferred to another flight and my bags didn't make it so I went 4 days without luggage also"

Voordelen: "Flight departed on time. Good seat pitch in economy. Food and beverages included and tasted good surprisingly. Crew were helpful and efficient. Plenty of entertainment options for film, TV and music."
Nadelen: "Do not like the process of boarding by group number. Another way of squeezing money out of the consumer. Also causes chaos when trying to board. Seats too narrow in economy especially if your broad shouldered."

Nadelen: "So it was annoying that the seat that was assigned to me..airline assigned that seat to someone else because that person asked for it. And nobody bothered to ask me( no email or call or anything) even though there were lot of empty seats. But the passenger was polite he moved to his original seat."

Nadelen: "We kept on being told that there was going to be turbulence and that it would be too rocky to serve food/drinks - but there was limited turbulence and the flight was very smooth. There was also a delay in leaving as there was an extra bag in hold but they 'couldn't find it'."
Nadelen: "Seats are uncomfortable and absolutely no shoulder room when squashed in the middle seat"

Voordelen: "the flight from JKT to Tokyo to Newark was good, entertainment was good, food was good, crew was good."
Nadelen: "THE flight from Newark to Montreal was HORRIBLE! the flight was delayed and when we boarded, we were stranded on the taxiways for 2,5 hours. After 20 hours of flying, and you know your last flight was just another hour, I ended up arriving Montreal at 12.30 AM when it should've been 9 PM"

Voordelen: "After United lost our luggage in Houston we had to file a claim in Auckland which meant we missed our flight to Wellington. Ground crew were super helpful and got us on the next flight 30 mins later. Cabin crew were great and sorted us out with water and snacks before take off as could tell we were desperate after flying in from London via Houston."
Voordelen: "Helpful crew and loads of space on bulkhead with bassinet (had to pay extra for the seats though but worth it when travelling with five month old)."
Nadelen: "Misinformed about luggage being checked all the way to Auckland - like other US airports all luggage must be collected and handed over again for onward journeys. Also travel cot was lost in transit."
Voordelen: "The flight attendant was super awesome. She was personable and had a great attitude. I didnt get her name, but she was by far the best! Blonde lady, smelled wonderful, very refreshing and funny conversation...(Ua1412 to LaGuardia) yeah yeah! Amazing!"
Nadelen: "I wanted the salami and cheese crackers but the flight wasn’t given any, so I chose the veggie smash/pita bread/quinoa/almond thing. Not too bad, but definitely no match for salami and cheese crackers. You know?"
Nadelen: "Couldn't connect to the onboard entertainment system through my laptop."
Voordelen: "Not much to like. The flight was okay."
Nadelen: "Not having free Wi-Fi and sound on the entertainment.I We could have been offered complimentary snacks as well with the beverage."

Nadelen: "They didn't get me to New York. Our original aircraft was stolen to use for another flight. So we needed to wait for another plane that wasn't due until 90 minutes after our scheduled departure. This second plane had maintainence issues. After 4 hours waiting I got on a Delta flight."

Voordelen: "For the most part the staff made an attempt to help me get onto a flight. I think."
Nadelen: "I had to go on my trip a few days later due to a work conflict. I never changed my itinerary because I didn’t think it mattered. I bought a new one way ticket on a different airline and went to get on my return flight that I had paid for and was still receiving emails about. I got to the airport to check in for my return flight and it had been canceled because I didn’t get on the first leg. I was never notified and they couldn’t get me on the flight I wanted because it was leaving in less than hour(which is a stupid rule). And to get me on a flight the next day would cost $2500. No thanks. And before anyone tells me that it’s in the fine print that they cancel a flight if you don’t show up, save it. We all know people don’t read all that. Be a human being. So if your plans change, make sure you officially change your plans, because they may go above, but probably not beyond. Oh and it took quite a long time for them to figure out what happened. If they had realized and I didn’t spend so much time on the phone with customer service, I might’ve been outside the hour window requirement."

Nadelen: "Connecting flight was cancelled so we automatically got out on the next flight. Our stop over went from 2h to over 7h. Staff at checkin were very unhelpful. They told us to go to the website to request a refund and wouldn't offer us any flight upgrades. We got on the flight and people were told not to sit in the unoccupied enconomy plus seats unless they paid for them. Pretty poor that considering there were at least 2 rows of seats available they are so tight they can't even be bothered to compensate us in a way that won't effect their bottom line. We completed the return request only to be told that refunds are not offered on schedule changes. Again pretty shoddy customer service and shows that all they are about is your money. The breakfast we had was disgusting. The melted cheese looked like someone had vomited onto my tray. On waiting for our connecting flight there was an old lady who was dumped at a gate on a wheel chair. They person then left without telling them what was happening. We could see she was anxious about not knowing what was happening. My wife went to the United help desk to ask for information for the lady's flight and was told she should just check the information board and dismissed. Not sure how an old lady who can't walk is meant to do this (this was explained to them). If United had bothered to make some kind of effort to be at least helpful in any stage with refunding / upgrading us and being helpful to an old lady maybe this review would be different. Ultimately all they care about is your money and will deliver a shockingly bad customer service wherever they can get away with it. I WONT be flying United again. I will pay more for another airline."
