Nadelen: "Late leaving, when boarding in CPH had to wait in extremely hot area once past the desk where our boarding passes were scanned and then the area where we had to queue just prior to boarding the plane was glass and therefore extremely hot. The worst issue was that there was one family with extremely loud children with the parents doing nothing. I saw a steward way up the plane looking down at them at one stage while serving another passenger but she did nothing. I like children but this was constant with the father actually encouraging the children to make more noise once he realised that other passengers were annoyed. There were plenty of other children on the plane who were behaving. Although SAS staff were aware of this they did nothing to ensure the comfort of the other passengers. One friend of mine stood for about 40 minutes at the back of the plane and another for about 20 minutes to get away from this constant noise as it was so loud and persistent. I had to listen to music to block it out.SAS staff should have intervened because this was very loud and as I have said constant i.e. every few seconds for most of the flight."

Nonetheless, the staff was very understanding, and called me to the gate once I finally arrived to assign me a seat since I wasn't given one when I checked in online. They upgraded me without my asking... to an economy plus exit row, so I had lots of room during the 8 hour flight to Copenhagen. The plane was new - an Airbus A330 - and the flight crew was friendly and helpful."

The entire first class cabin all had their call lights on which were ignored for over an hour. If you asked for anything they seemed to be annoyed they had to stop talking to each other. The cabin was also very warm to be an international flight."

Nadelen: "Procedures at schiphol airport for Icelandair are disorganized and chaotic in order to Simply drop a checked bag, it is necessary to stand in a very long line of Travelers who are conducting every manner of flight busines. The route for departing passengers Criss crosses the entirety of schiphol airport at least twice making it a very long walk from the front door to your boarding gate. While much of this is not Icelandair fault, they should look at it closely for improvements as it is really bad"
Nadelen: "For a 5 hour flight (that turned into an 8 hour flight) no food was provided. when I finally broke down an paid for some it was minuscule and the crew member that brought it had attitude and was not polite."

Nadelen: "There were no announcements for boarding- everyone just start lining up and it was very chaotic in the actual airport- Newark was boarding right next to JFK so no one knew where they were going. I also didn't like that I had to pay for food on a transatlantic flight and wifi. Additionally, the wait for luggage at terminal 7 at JFK was WAAAY too long. It made no sense."

Standing in line almost 2 hours because of no updates. So we had no idea when plane was ready to leave. So we all felt like we could leave to go get food or coffee. Then we finally get on Plane and the entire entertainment system is down. No movies or way to charging phones etc!!!!! For a 6 hour flight that was so frustrating!!!! Then you would think that Icelandair for all the problems would at least comp our meals and drinks!! NOPE!! Pay full price. Flight attendance were great! But we only doing what they were told. I would not take this airline again."

By the time I asked, they were not available anymore) 3. on top of these, couldn't find a place to plug my laptop It's really a bummer for such a long flight. Totally opposite experience from my last flight before the transfer (also from Iceland Air)."

Nadelen: "Boarding the plane was poorly planned. A lot of people crowded the gate before the flight was ready causing a massive jam of customers. Only one employee was taking tickets when two could have been used to speed up the process. Would like a free in air snack. Pretzels, peanuts, anything."

Nadelen: "Boarded late. Rudest desk agent of all time- she had the nastiest attitude and was rolling her eyes at our requests. I was so surprised anyone with this position could act in such a manner. It was also very difficult to communicate with her- I am not sure why she was put in that position when the line for check in was extremely long. She was taking her sweet time, almost purposely trying to annoy people. People were complaining because of the wait time, people needed to drop off their bags/get their seats, etc. This lady was so unprofessional I wouldn't have minded waiting until the next day to catch my flight back so a different employee could accommodate me."
Nadelen: "Rude staff at AMS airport made it very uncomfortable, she was unwilling to be polite and had the nastiest attitude. She was almost screaming at me. The flight from Reykjavik to NYC was torture. First, it was delayed. Then we boarded a plane completely and had to unboard, walk across the entire airport to a new gate, wait for the new plane, again delay, and finally board after 3 hours of misery. I really liked IcelandAir on the way to Europe, but the way back to the US was terrible and I will steer clear from purchasing a ticket with this airline next time."

Nadelen: "Boarding from. EWR WAS lousy. Flight going to Warsaw was delayed to start with . They did not announced . Only shown on screen. They have to definitely announce to the passengers THEY WILL BOARD AS PER GROUP NO. . NEED NOT MAKE A BIG LINE JUST RELAX ON THE CHAIR . PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF STANDING in the line for a long time May be they need to have more group Nos to easy facilitate boarding . This is only a suggestion. If they want to improve customer experience and travel again with them"

Nadelen: "I was forced to check in my hand luggage, but the Amsterdam personnel attached to it a tag without any flight information, so this luggage missed my plane in Warsaw on the connecting flight and arrived later that day as misplaced piece. LOT needs to fix the hand luggage tagging system on connecting flights."

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for 1.5h which is not ok. I see that for LOT is a standard practice unfortunately."
Nadelen: "Going to board the plane and they told a group of like 30 of us we had been selected for random security check. So obviously it took a long time to get all those people through the check and we departed very late. Then sat on the tarmac for an hour and forty five minutes. The pilot said it would be 15 minutes and then never gave another update beyond that, which made it much worse."
Voordelen: "I have been flying with them for the past 16 years(economy seats), and I have to say that their service,and comfort of overnight flights have improved tremendously! Partially due to the fact that they have 787 Dreamliners now, in which the seats are wider and are reclining more than before, the leg room is bigger, the air quality better. The crew members are very professional,not overly sweet,yet caring and understanding,especially when you are flying with small children.As to those complaining about overcharged luggage- read the rules people! If you go over the maximum limit of 50lb for a check in, let's say 2lb,they won't charge you,but don't expect them to close their eyes when your luggage weighs almost double that!"

Nadelen: "For three of us we had only one bag to check. They charged us 70 euro for that bag. All their flights were 30-60 minute late."
Voordelen: "When we got to the airport on the way back home, they couldn't find our tickets. I had online tickets and confirmation, but we were still not on the flight list. We had to go to the ticket counter for them to clear it up and put us back on the flight. The flight itself was not bad. The flight attendants are a bit rude and condescending. The seats and entertainment was not bad."
Nadelen: "1. Cancelled our outgoing flight hours before it was set to leave; notified us via email; barely got re-booked via different airlines and had to take 3 different flights to reach out destination; missed the 2nd flight because LOT put us on a flight that was departing 30 minutes before out 1st flight arrived. 2. When we got another 2nd flight, we arrived at our final destination without our bags. LOT assured us that our bags were on our flight before we boarded but calling and confirming that they were able to transfer our bags (only had 40 minutes between flights), but of course, it was a complete lie. We did not get our bag until the next day in the evening over 24 hours later. At that point I was happy they found them and gave them to us. 3. Turns out, they cancel flights pretty often and they also book people on transfer flights that are too close for people to make it. We traveled with a handful of other passengers that had the same experience and people were in tears about their horrible travel experience. 4. Warsaw Airport - they only have 5 passport control officers clearing travelers and because they don;t have lines or any type of organization of these travelers, the lines our out of control. People are pushing each other, crying because they are missing flights or not feeling well because of no air and all the pushing and shoving. I was pregnant standing in the line for over 40 minutes. They would not let pregnant passengers or passengers with kids with them pass in their disabled line. Only people in the wheelchairs were allowed to pass there. Horrible airport and even more horrible airline! PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF AND DO NOT RUIN YOUR VACATION."

Nadelen: "At boarding we were told we needed an additional security clearance "that way". When we searched for it and couldn't find it, we asked two different employees and they didn't know or offer to help. We finally found it but it wasn't a good experience. And finding out at boarding time was not helpful."

Nadelen: "Many people on this flight were bothered by the fact that their families were split up all over the airplane and no one could sit together. During boarding there were groups of people who had all been split up and were desperately trying to switch seats with others. I was traveling with a 15 year old, and even though she is not a small child it was very nerve wrecking to be seated 20 rows behind her, not being able to keep an eye on her (even more so because she gets car sick and has thrown up on airplanes before). I don't think I've ever flown where my group was not at least seated in pairs. This was very disappointing."

Nadelen: "Extremely rude staff (allowed a passenger to almost break my hand luggage with hers, and literally laughed at my concern,) kept us on plane for 2+ hours with minimal info given on the problem, then de-planed and kept us waiting at Warsaw airport for another 2 hours (no food, water or even a manager appeared until the end of that 4 hours, by the way, and only after a screaming mob of passengers formed,) then kept us on the new plane for nearly another 2 hours. This made for an approximate 6 hour delay, with minimal comfort, food, water, info or sympathy throughout, nor an offer to switch our flights and/or provide night accommodation due to the 5+ hour delay on this evening flight (as is within our passenger rights.) The plane finally arrived to JFK way after 1 a.m., which completely ruined weekend work and social plans, not to mention how exhausting and disrespectful of an experience it was. PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERY SINGLE OF THE FOUR LOT FLIGHTS I'D UNDERTAKEN THAT WEEK WERE DELAYED IN A SIMILAR FASHION - AS IN, WITH LITTLE INFO OR EXCUSE. No, thanks, Lot - and you should refund us all."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed 40 min; after landing the plane was sitting on the field forever; during descent, my ears started aching, and I think I got some kind of vestibular system damage, possibly from an overly fast descent. Not good."

Nadelen: "Then the flight from warsaw to JFK was fine, but when we landed there was only 10 minutes for me to get to my next flight and i asked the attendant if she could call my gate ahead and tell them I'm trying to make it, and she grunted and told me to sit back down. Then i proceeded to go to baggage claim where my bag never showed up and when I finally saw that it wasn't showing up I sprinted to my next flight and got to the door 15 seconds after it closed. Then i had to spend the night in NYC and was unable to go to buffalo unitl the morning after having spent already the whole day in the airport since my first flight didn't take off until about 5 hours after it was scheduled. And now I still do not have my bag, and jet blue says they never got it from LOT airlines"

Nadelen: "Boarding announcements in Warsaw for the flight to New York were ONLY in Polish. This left many passengers confused. I could understand this if the flight were to a Polish destination. During the flight, intercom announcements overrode the Entertainment System at FULL VOLUME - EVERY TIME. it is as though they wanted to maximize our discomfort. I would not fly with Lot again."

Nadelen: "I didn't like that I got no food I asked for a water bottle never got it! I was hungry the entire flight I was only lucky to be close to the bathroom"

But when they kept us at the gate for another 1.5 hours without any information as to why we were not boarding, I just about lost it. Delays happen. That is not the problem. But the staff was rude and did not inform us about when or if we would be leaving. When asked about missed connections, said they know nothing and the transfer desk will handle that. I was travelling with my cat, so for me it was super stressful. Once we did arrive to JFK, there were no more flights to RDU that night and it took forever and then some to get me a hotel that would accommodate a cat. Just fly another airline."

They served food while I slept so I called the flight attendant 7 times to now bring me food since she woke me up. She never showed up. So no only was I now up, couldn't fall back asleep because of the screaming children but I am SO glad the person behind me are her mean comfortably"

Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer."

Nadelen: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

Nadelen: "This event refers to my TAP flight from Lisbon to Heathrow on 21-Jan-2018. We arrived to the airport nearly 2 hours before departure time, waited 35min in the security checks and my girlfriend was held 20min in the passport control. While she was queuing for the 2no police officers to check her passport, an airport assistant came to the queue and asked who was due to board in TP364 to Heathrow. She was made aware that my girlfriend was there due to board that flight. In the meantime I made my way to the gate to make the gate assistants aware that she was held in the passport checks and was already on her way to the gate. Having said that, the zealous assistants in the gate have closed the gate in front of me, 18min before scheduled departure time and - "very kindly" - told me that I wouldn't be boarding that flight anymore even though my girlfriend have arrived in the meantime. One can imagine the frustration I felt finding out that the flight departure was delayed and that the flight actually departed 40min late. At that time I was already suffering the extortion of the customer service from TAP, claiming from me circa 400Eur from each of us for a one way ticket in the next flight to London. Therefore... until I remember this... I AM NOT FLYING TAP ANYMORE... I am very proud of being Portuguese but in similar situations that occurred with me flying British Airways, Lufthansa or Air Italia, I have always been treated with much more respect and customer care!"
