Nadelen: Leg room was really bad in economy and the only upgrade option was to business for $10,000 so of course not affordable for the average person.
Voordelen: The crew was polite and helpful. The wine was free and each seat had it's own screen with a good assortment of movies and TV shows.
Nadelen: The food could be much better. Although coming from Sicily it's tough to compare.
Voordelen: Nothing. never boarded. Took the train instead.
Nadelen: 1 hour connection. I missed my flight because the flight out of LAX got delayed.
Voordelen: Very good service. I have a bad knee and they did a good job of helping. Long layover is ok, they offer free hotel. Side benefit you can be a tourist for a short time.
Nadelen: Lounge could be improved. Does not compare to other Airlines Lounges.
Voordelen: The plane was new, the plane was clean, and all the airline hostesses were not 65 years old. Oh and everyone complaining about the visa requirements for China. Bend over a take one for the team like a man just Go to a travel agent in any in China Town. $100 US will get you a bias good for 10 years and it only take a week. Otherwise fly Delta for $1200.
Nadelen: Limited selection of English language movies but hey it was a China airline so no bit surprise there.
Voordelen: Nothing at all.
Nadelen: Couldn’t get on the flight due to two cancellations of prior connecting flights. Utterly, totally unacceptable - and no explanation of why.
Voordelen: On time, best connection for me, earning miles on my program. I booked based on time and cost, didn't even pay attention to what airline.
Nadelen: No food, plane felt pretty old and not so clean. Smaller seats than the other flights I had with Lufthansa. Otherwise, it was fine. I had a pretty bad earache on that particular flight, so I liked it less than I might have otherwise. Something didn't feel right, pressure wrong or something.
Nadelen: I was switched seats against my will on board! Although i reserved the seat ahead of time when i got in i was pretty much forced to sit somewhere else. The staff handled the sitution in a very poor manner!
Voordelen: Crew was friendly and helpful, food was tasty and flight was nice and smooth.
Nadelen: It would be wonderful to have all seats the same as first class for a long distance flight.

Nadelen: Crew service is excellent. Flight was fast without any delay in take off in Guangzhou Airport. Food in Business Class is pedestrian.

Nadelen: The boarding process is so poorly organized : very very long lines, just a couple of gates for security. The worst I have ever seen is at the Frankfurt airport. It is so bad that I swear I would never fly Lufthansa again. Talking about German efficiency ... nil .

Nadelen: Delayed 20 minutes out of Denver, and when I arrived at my connecting city in Munich I was immediately told I would not make my connecting flight due to customs lines and to reschedule. I walked 5 minutes to customs, no lines, walked another 5 minutes to my gate, and easily made the connection.
Voordelen: excellent crew, well manner, well dresses smart feel... they seem to know my needs before I did .. loved it
Nadelen: wider wash rooms onboard .. wider seats .. wider seat bealts also plane from FRA - BOM could use service maintinace ... it seemed like an older aircraft

Nadelen: Check-in and boarding was too long and confusing. Too much to walk between one place to next. Overkill on security and baggage check. Food was terrible. Second full meal was chopped up to just a salad and main dish...no bread or dessert. Air hostess could be more pleasant. Flight was late 1 hr.
Voordelen: I flew economy Melbourne > Abu Dhabi and then Abu Dhabi to Melbourne. The first leg of the flight was great, the flight wasn’t full and I had a whole row to myself. The flight attendant even gave me some tips to ensure nobody sat there. This flight was on an A380 so the plane was large and it felt spacious.
Nadelen: There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad.

Nadelen: Worst ground staff in Abu Dhabi and in LA. Will never fly them again. Were very unhelpful when boarding the flight in Abu Dhabi. In fact they encouraged us to not board and take another flight the next day!!! Worst flying experience ever. Will never fly them again!!!

Nadelen: The aircraft was old. The screen quality was terrible. It would not stay up and would fall and hit my knee. Most airlines provide a menu so you know what services will take place and when. This aircraft had none of that.

Nadelen: It might be respectsd airline but timely departure is not followed at all. Food was horrible - and only watered down tea/ coffee for drink options. Will avails if possible.

Nadelen: There seems to be a continual problem with the ear buds connectors to the entertainment systems - they didn’t work for my random seat both ways! It was the same for my seat and the seat next to mine on return! We both had to be moved - again!! Hmmm!
Nadelen: Flying as a Canadian via China right now NOT RECOMMENDED! If you fly into China on China Eastern and continue with that airline for your transfer to another country, they seize your passports and keep you segregated from everyone else. Law, supposedly. Took us hours to get to our connecting flight.

Nadelen: Economy seats are so cramped that the couple (who were strangers to me) seated next to me (i was in the window seat) decided to 1) one would sleep prone on the floor in the foot portion of our row; and 2) the other would rest his head on ME and the armrest, stretching out on their seats. Greeeaat.
Nadelen: Problems with our extra legroom being allocated at the check in desk as oman employ a 3rd party called option town to handle this process. Numerous broken tv screens on the aircraft preventing passengers from watching tv. Losing our baggage for over 2 days. Creaking tv screens prevent passengers from sleeping. Leaking emergency exits that cover passengers in condensation.
Voordelen: Impossible to enjoy a flight you didn't choose and were forced to fly on due to a schedule change, especially when the flights you'd booked had much better timing for a fixed teacher's holiday schedule. Avoid Oman Air unless you are sadistic and enjoy forced flight changes and no compensation. As I was forced to change to a flight to one arriving at 03.10 with my work starting at 06.00, I tried (and failed due to a lack of space and fidgety neighbour) to sleep all the flight to be fresh and professional for my work. The booked flight which was forcibly cancelled got me home 9pm the night before work. Oman Air refused a suggestion to upgrade me to business class so I could try and sleep.
Nadelen: I am a teacher. I can't choose my holiday times. I get three fixed weeks in summer. In both 2017 + 2018 Oman Air changed their schedule forcing me to change my flights. I was out of pocket for a small amount - they refused to pay the $27.60. I was to arrive home at 9pm for an 06.00 start to work they changed my flight so I arrived at 04.00. I asked for an upgrade to business class to try and sleep. They ignored the request. They instead sent me a copy of the small print saying that they were allowed to change anyone's flights and give zero compensation if the 'client' is informed two weeks in advance. I will avoid Oman Air from now on, even if they seem to offer the best times to fly.

Nadelen: Flight crew did not clear cabin at takeoff and landing. Tables left down, seats reclined. Did not enforce standards resulting in restricted egress in case of emergency. Allowed passengers to get up, collect thier bags from overhead compartments immediately after landing and during taxi. Clogged asiles. Poor air con during flight. Extremely cramped seating. Low budget and lax attitude. Consistently late flights On a positive note, direct nonstop flights to major destinations at good rates. You get what you pay for though.

Nadelen: There were so many women wanting to change their seat because they cannot sit next to a man . . . . There was a woman crying because she wanted to sit next to me and the flight attendant told her no and that she needs to go back to her assigned seat. If seats are available after boarding they will move her to another seat is what the flight attendant said. Alot of male passengers volunteered to move to accommodate the women that cannot sit next to a man. As a suggestion maybe while booking a ticket a passenger can select the option of sitting next to women or men only. My screen stopped working about an hour into the 12 hour flight. More options for food would be another suggestion.
Nadelen: As a handicaped disabled not able to walk and should be using a wheel chair,as I know from my many previous travels with other companies like lufthanza, klm..etc, I used to be the first traveller to go to the air craft when loading it to take off and the last one who would be leaving it after landing. Even when going through the check and security points I used to go in a special route especially for the handicaped but going with all other normal travelers lines with such amount of time waiting and crowdness is completely inconvenient. what happened through the trip was quit different , going with the travelers or after when they are boarding the craft make it very hard and time consuming , Wish you take care of it, as it's a very important handicaped service. Nadelen: Some of the passengers are men from Saudi Arabia and they cannot be next to a woman. The flight attendant was very accommodating to those passengers.
Voordelen: Professional flight attendants, kept a good schedule of offering refreshments and meals. Such a difficult task to be attentive to a passenger list that probably spoke more than 10 languages. Polite and patient throughout.
Nadelen: my bag was held in amman. when I was going through customs and my bag didn't appear, I approached a team member who already had my name on a list of people whose bags were delayed.. Would have saved me some time if they called the names of the passengers with delayed bags so we wouldn't be waiting for the bags to appear. I don't know if this is an issue specific to the flight crew or to the airline in general or to the airport but it did cause some grief on my end.
Voordelen: Everything was excellent. After reading some reviews I was a bit reluctant but every was great on board. Great crew with great food.
Nadelen: I didn't like how disorganised the on ground staff was when boarding. Also as a family of 7 we should have sat altogether and not scattered around the aircraft.
Nadelen: The website I booked on and the Delta phone line on the printed ticket said that I had baggage when it turns out that I did not according to the check in staff and they made me pay.
