Voordelen: First time doing China southern. Their lay flat beds are more narrow and getting in and out was tight. I ain't that fat but my beer belly made it tight. Food outbound was better than return flight.
Nadelen: Beds could be more comfortable. They don't lay 100% flat.
Nadelen: Cabin crew doesn’t speak much English. Food isn’t great but what airplane food is?
Voordelen: I've been flying China Southern for my last 4 Transpac flights. The equipment is competitive with all the carriers are always clean. Their 777-300ER from SFO to CAN is very comfortable in economy. The seats and headrest a very supportive and yet have a soft touch. 14 hours and 35 minutes and I wasn't numb. They provide complimentary beer and wine throughout the flight. Their price often cannot be beaten.
Nadelen: CZ658 SFOCAN January 20, 2019, is the first time my seat back infotainment system didn't work. I didn't have to say anything. An inflight staff brought me a tablet preloaded with a slimmed down assortment of movies, music etc. I usually binge watch and this time it worked out
Voordelen: The boarding was easy
Nadelen: My luggage was lost even when there was 4 hour layover. I have no clothes to wear.
Voordelen: Crew was good and seats were ok.
Nadelen: More room but we all know space is limited. Food can be improved though

Nadelen: 1 hour connection. I missed my flight because the flight out of LAX got delayed.
Nadelen: got severe food poisoning from the airline food.
Voordelen: You give me the suck time form shenyang to Fuzhou . I have to pick up all my stuff and chinking all the stuff to shenyang form Fuzhou . And just a 40 minute how I make it ? And I miss my fly to Fuzhou . I have to buy 2 new tickets form shenyang to Fuzhou ! $400 .. I feel so bad very bad ..

Voordelen: The flight was fine

Nadelen: Very bad food my options were pork and vegetarian. Chicken finished.

Nadelen: The flight was delayed for an hour, but the transfer in Helsinki was easy, I made it to the connect flight just in time for boarding

Nadelen: Limited controls on the entertainment.
Voordelen: The crew were NOT helpful, The captain didn't inform us well about the delay
Nadelen: More communication with passengers, as well start the Entertainment screens early, NOT after take off ?? which is really strange ??
Nadelen: Crew was very rude when giving veg meals. Even though we had confirmed veg meals multiple times with the airline prior to boarding, they still did not know that we had a specially requested Meal. After notifying the crew of this, one member gave us an extra meal. Another extremely rude staff member then proceeded to yell at us for eating meal. This was extremely uncalled for and has severly ruined the reputation of this airline in our eyes. The customer should still be addressed with some common courtesy and not be treated as if they are beneath the crew members, as if we are at fault for the crew's own carelessly stupid mistakes and lack of organization and proper communication

Nadelen: The legroom was inadequate.

Nadelen: The food quality was really bad with no alternatives. All passengers with vegetarian food option were complaining.
Nadelen: Quality of on board food and courtesy of flight attendants really needs improvement. Etihad wasn't like this a decade ago.
Voordelen: From the ground crew to the flight staff, everyone was superb! Keep up the good work!
Nadelen: I can't think of anything to make it better.

Voordelen: Very old plane, seats not updated and not working properly, food was served once on an 8 hour flight, there was turbulance for over 5 hours consistently, and the pilots did nothing to go around it. As a pilot, i can tell you this can be avoided. Some of the crew were not friendly. Old movie library.
Nadelen: New and updated plane, especially business class, more trained crew, seats that work and function normally, better and more food, served a light breakfast on an 8 hr flight. Updated movie library.
Voordelen: The crew itself was great and very attentive. Based off checking in I didn't expect the flight experience itself to be so great.
Nadelen: Checking in was awful in SF. My downloaded boarding pass didn't work at the security gate and a lady checking boarding passes made snide comments about me not being TSA pre check. Had to go and wait in the line to have them print the pass and of course. Make the downloaded passes work.
Nadelen: No delays would be good
Nadelen: Turkish Airlines was absolutely the worst airline I have ever been on. My flight going there was delayed 4 hrs & I missed my connection. They lost my bag & it arrived after 1 wk. Today, my flight was again delayed and I almost missed my layover. Again, my bag did not arrive & they ripped my carry on

Nadelen: Boarding seemed a bit unorganized.
Nadelen: My pillow was so dirty that I didn’t dare use it. It’s a long high flight, and thus very cold. The blanket was much thinner than SLC—> AMS
Nadelen: Very old and dirty Plane. Business class seats are in bad shape and broken.
Nadelen: I’m 6’ tall, and the seats were too short to be comfortable.
Nadelen: no wheel chair was provided for my husband and crew did not bother. have complained to the singapore office and jet airways complain no. yesterday. so far no one has called back nor any apology. he was struggling to walk as he s an asthama patient at changi general hospital
Voordelen: Nothing really.
Nadelen: The aircraft was old. The screen quality was terrible. It would not stay up and would fall and hit my knee. Most airlines provide a menu so you know what services will take place and when. This aircraft had none of that.

Nadelen: I was slapped with a payment for baggage without knowing about it. I had gotten round trip tickets through kayak and for some reason one trip was allowed baggage but trip back was not. Tried to work it out but somehow kayak booked me for a round trip with bags going out but no bags coming in.
Nadelen: Had a 18 hour delay as seen was "planned " by the company never will travel with uia ever again
Voordelen: 1. My luggage did not arrive and in the best case scenario will make 2 days later. They told me on this connection it was a normal occurance. 2. The plane was extremely old.
Nadelen: Get a newer plane, make sure luggage arrives on time.
Voordelen: Seat was ok Food was fine and the crew too.
Nadelen: The ground cree including yhe security were terrible Nasty and borderline unrasonable.

Voordelen: We managed to upgrade to first class. This made the 12-hour flight very relaxing. Service was excellent. As usual, Egyptian pilots are the best in landing

Nadelen: The crew left the meal trays for a long time after serving. It made it difficult for people to get up and go to the bathroom for example.

Nadelen: They list checked our stroller in at the gate but didn’t give it back at our layover in Moscow 6 hour carrying a baby. And when we went to their desk immediately after getting off our plane from Sofia to Moscow they wouldn’t even call the plane to see if it was there.

Nadelen: Los Angeles to Frankfurt on an A380 was great. Flight to Tel Aviv was good. But trying to navigate around Frankfurt was very difficult.

Nadelen: On a 4 hour flight Offer snacks and water without charge. Children were screaming the entire flight. The crew stood in the back reading magazines instead of checking if people needed more drinks.
Voordelen: Crew did their best to deal with the multiple delays.
Nadelen: Having a plane that was properly prepared to fly. Not stealing my Limoncello Cream and tape measure.

Voordelen: No frills but no dramas either. All efficient and friendly. Helped that there were many empty seats

Nadelen: here is where they get you, yes, super cheap flight and 2 checked bags included, but you are only allowed 15kg a bag! you have to buy 20kg bags!
Voordelen: Impossible to enjoy a flight you didn't choose and were forced to fly on due to a schedule change, especially when the flights you'd booked had much better timing for a fixed teacher's holiday schedule. Avoid Oman Air unless you are sadistic and enjoy forced flight changes and no compensation. As I was forced to change to a flight to one arriving at 03.10 with my work starting at 06.00, I tried (and failed due to a lack of space and fidgety neighbour) to sleep all the flight to be fresh and professional for my work. The booked flight which was forcibly cancelled got me home 9pm the night before work. Oman Air refused a suggestion to upgrade me to business class so I could try and sleep.
Nadelen: I am a teacher. I can't choose my holiday times. I get three fixed weeks in summer. In both 2017 + 2018 Oman Air changed their schedule forcing me to change my flights. I was out of pocket for a small amount - they refused to pay the $27.60. I was to arrive home at 9pm for an 06.00 start to work they changed my flight so I arrived at 04.00. I asked for an upgrade to business class to try and sleep. They ignored the request. They instead sent me a copy of the small print saying that they were allowed to change anyone's flights and give zero compensation if the 'client' is informed two weeks in advance. I will avoid Oman Air from now on, even if they seem to offer the best times to fly.
