As this was the first leg of my international flight, it would have been much better I had proper food, rather than a bag of 6 pretzels, especially since I had to be at the airport three hours earlier, and I had a six hour layover in Newark."

Nadelen: "The whole trip was a nightmare. I go out of my way to NOT fly United, In this case Lufthansa somehow just sold the ticket and United was flying it and as usual it was horrendous. We had to be re-routed via 3 separate flights jus to make our international connection thanks to our initial flight being moved up 2 hours EARLY. They closed the door in our faces. That added 8 hours of travel time to our trip which I had booked to minimize travel time as I was traveling with pets. United is the WORST."

Voordelen: "The politeness and friendly demenor of the LH crew is very refreshing and makes for easing the stress of a long journey. The seating arrangement and the below deck toilets were also nice. Seating next to toilets is never comfortable and moving them downstairs is a great idea,"

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."

Voordelen: "The service was excellent, drinks, food and snacks were offered frequently, the crew is professional and friendly. This was one of the best flights I've experienced in a long time. Thank you!"

Nadelen: "AC was broken for the first 30-45min. It was quite hot with all of the people stuck on the plane. Luckily, the pilot was able to use the plane's engines to create AC."

Voordelen: "The seats were very comfortable -- the plane wasn't very full, so there was room to spread out for some folks. As a vegetarian, the lunch meal was EXCELLENT, thank you. There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Nadelen: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Nadelen: "The crew passed by me TWICE while serving food and I was not sleeping at that time. I had to go and ask for food myself. Also there was a delay about 40 minutes when taking off in CPH (CPH-EWR) because of a fuel-screen malfunction or smth. The pilot was very nice and kept us informed all the time. I still didn't make my connection flight due to the delay and SAS rebooked me which made my already long trip 8 hrs longer."

Nadelen: "Not enough characters to express my disappointment."

Voordelen: "I am vegetarian with no egg fish or meat. I didn't get any choices"

Voordelen: "It was100 % flawless and I recommend the SAS airline to all. The airline staff is great and the food is good."
Nadelen: "As previously stated, I think the airline should do a better job in answering phone calls. If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"

Nadelen: "I order through Kayak, which took me to priceline...Got my ticket and thought everything was fine...Until I got to the airport, apparently I got a SAS lite ticket and they charged me to check 3 bags 210 Euros...Unreal. I think its pricelines fault because they did not even offer bagage as an option..."

Nadelen: "Planes are old. No conveniences at all - none. Charged for one piece of luggage (my only piece) at the gate. Security process extremely slow. 1.5 hours early to airport and I made it on board by 9 mins. There plane sat for 20 mins on runway before departing."

Nadelen: "Cabin light was only slightly dimmed during the 8 hrs flight. Then instead of gradually brighten the light. They just flip the switch to full blast. I think they are trying to sell you more duty free than letting their customers rest. Not ok!"

Nadelen: "Crew was rude. Had to ask 3 times for a drink before I actually got it and they snarled at me about having to pay. I didn't care about paying, at that pout I would have paid $100 for some water. Seats are RIDICULOUSLY small and when the person in front of you puts their seat back it's impossible to do anything. Forgot having your tray table down."

Voordelen: "A bottle of water along with the standard pillow and blanket at each seat. Never had a long line for the bathroom (dumb luck?)"

Nadelen: "I bought full price ticket, not STAND BY SAS DIDN'T LET CHECK IN MY FLIGHT FROM RIGA to SAN DIEGO. So I have problem everywhere . In Oslo I was waiting for my seat more than one hours. I very often was SAS, it was good, but never ever I will use this company again."

Nadelen: "The meals were mediocre and should be up to the standard of the rest of SAS service. The selection of movies could have been wider. They do help pass the time."

Nadelen: "I was sitting next to a special needs man and the crew was extremely unhelpful towards him. He should not have been flying alone and they did not help him at all. When you handed out the customs form he told the stewardess he needed help and she ignored him. When I pressed the call button for him it took someone 35minutes to come back and then she told him she would help him after dinner. I pressed a call button the second time to help him find something and again it took over 30 minutes for someone to come back to us. If there was a real emergency this delay would have been a huge problem. The stewardess was extremely rude in general."

Nadelen: "Stewardesses were not very friendly and snapped at passengers a couple of times."

Voordelen: "Due to delays I missed my connection for Newark, airline booked me for JFK which was after four hours. The airline lost my bag and five hour flight becomes 12hours"

Nadelen: "Changed seats and scattered our family well after we have checked in and got seats confirmation on boarding passes."

Nadelen: "I looked down between the seat “legs” and wall and there was so much garbage. Never ever seen so much garbage with any other airlines. Maybe just one customer? IDK because so much. I thought could it be accumulated from a number of previous flights?"

Nadelen: "I eat gluten free and the falafel salad the only gluten free entre option was not available. Also they were iut of orange juice during the second service. I would greatly appreciate gluten free choices. Thank you!"

Nadelen: "Paying $88 euros X 2 for checked bags Sitting next to family w/3 kids, 2 constantly out of seats up & down aisle, 1 screaming baby. Deplaning & boarding outside in freezing temperature."

Nadelen: "There was no indication when I made the reservation that there were 2 types of economy fare. I had to pay 86 Euro extra per checked in case."

Nadelen: "One suitcase did not arrive in Iceland for two whole days after the flight and the attitude of the company on this matter was too nonchalant (as if it happens all the time and no one should make a fuss). Also, boarding was from a gate not suitable for such a large amount of people"

Nadelen: "The space left for the legs if the front chair is reclined is a joke. Aren't you on greedy side? Oh excuse me; aren't you to much profit oriented? You celebrate the 80th anniversary of being in business, so the passengers got an cheap ice cream. Wow, you (Icelandair) really went crazy."

Nadelen: "Unfortunately we were herded into a tiny waiting area, pushed up against one another waiting for a bus to take us to the plane. The wait was unnecessarily long and the room very hot. Then again we were held in a crampt and very warm bus to the aircraft. Passengers inside the bus, pushed open some of the windows to give us a little fresh cool air. Finally we exited into the rain and wind to very slowly board the aircraft in no order, which led to people standing out on a slick staircase getting rather wet prior to entering. One of the worst boarding plans I've experienced."

Voordelen: "The price was good"

Nadelen: "Airport in Iceland is chaos. Both flights were late, which put us in Newark later than expected, which could have caused us to miss our connector to mid-west. No control to boarding in Iceland."

Nadelen: "2 hour delay. Then couldn't get my bag and waited for over an hour"

Voordelen: "that we arrived safe. Thank you to crew for that. Nice plane with good seating configuration, adequate bathrooms."

Voordelen: "It was a fast trip, comfortable cabin, smooth ride, nice staff."
Nadelen: "The keflavik airport is the worst! No places to sit, and the boaesing process just simply doesn't exist. People queue up wherever and a try to push to get on board. Also the music selection didn't work on our journey."

Nadelen: "•Flight crew were so strict and stern. It's like their smile was for sale too along with everything else. •Boarding fight to Newark International airport took almost 45 min because a novice was placed to handle and IMMENSE line of passengers boarding alone. He was clearly nervous. •On the plane there was a lack of entertainment, the only films available were intended for children. Music was "unavailable"."

Nadelen: "No free meal, constant duty free sales runs up and down the aisle by flight attendants, broken seats and headphone jacks, slow and clumsy boarding process"

Nadelen: "Terrible boarding, no service or attendance, unprofessional and unfriendly attitude. I arrived 3 hours before departure and had to stand in lines that were not clearly defined for 2 and a half hours. Everybody complained. Even the luggage band when I checked my bag was broken. Nobody came to assist the passengers"

Nadelen: "Luggage was left in Amsterdam. The A'dam flight was an hour late, which didn't leave enough time to have dinner."

Nadelen: "Check-in was the worst, took over an hour. Icelandair had everyone in the same line, whether you had a boarding pass and were just dropping off baggage, or whether you had to check baggage and check in. Only 2 ground crew for the whole plane to check in."

Voordelen: "Can't think of a thing."
Nadelen: "Late. Crowded."

Nadelen: "Gate area was cramped and a little chaotic"

Nadelen: "Flight cancelled because of a mechanic strike. Airline didn't tell us this, just kept delaying the flight. Passengers didn't know of the flight cancellation until we got to the gate (4 1/2 hr after scheduled departure). I strongly suspect they knew all along that the flight was going to be cancelled. A little advance notice would have given us a chance to make other plans. We flew out the next day on Delta (a far superior experience)."

Voordelen: "The crew was great! Was disappointed they gave us a A340 from air Belgium instead of the 787 Dreamliner we were supposed to get."

Nadelen: "My family and I traveled to Poland several times using LOT Airline. They lost our luggage not once or twice, but three times. Each time, we were without our luggage for nearly a day and half. We are no longer using this airline. Also, their TV monitors/remotes lack accessibility as they do not offer closed captioning features for the deaf/hard-of-hearing. Another strike."

Nadelen: "Not a Lot plane. A Neos charter plane leased by Lot. Italian crew."

Nadelen: "I bought my inlaws tickets with a shorter layover and it was horrible. It took them ‘much longer to get home. There was no plane waiting for them in Budapest and they got re-routed to Vienna. Which then took them to krakow. They had to take off their luggage everytime they got off the plane and they are 80 years old. There were no escalators or elevators. The airlines lost one of their suitcases and promised it the next day and they have not received it yet. Horrible flight."

Nadelen: "The ticket agent was really grumpy, they were late taking off, I am not crazy about prop planes, too much vibration."

Nadelen: "The Warsaw-Newark leg took 10 hrs and a half, as opposed to 9 and a half. The Economy seat, although a little better than on other planes, is so small, and I’m average size! The announcements are so difficult to understand."

Nadelen: "My tv was not working , it’s a 9.5 hours flight.... it was not fixed and they said they cannot offer me another seat with working tv My table when I opened it for the first time was all dirty with dried up tomato sauce and crumbs , they did clean it but it should not happen in the first place"

Nadelen: "Messed up security clearance arrangement. Total confusion about secondary clearance requirement, only informed at boarding at gate that a lot of travelers needed secondary clearance. No objections to secondary clearance, but procedure a joke. Machine was half way down the terminal. Half hour wait, and you could have left your carry on with somebody else, get cleared by machine, pick up your bag again and get on board."

Voordelen: "The landing wasgood"
Nadelen: "After the plane landed had to sit an hour in the plane cause of gate clearance . I had a connection flight I almost missed. After 9 hours travelling it was extremely stressful . The wasn working for the lady next to me ."

Nadelen: "On a way to Poland from New York we were waiting two hours in airport with no information. Then we were sitting in airplane 50 minutes more. It was delay 2hours and 50 min."

Voordelen: "Ik kan eigenlijk niet echt objectief een beoordeling geven want ik werk voor deze maatschappij dus vind uiteraard alles fantastisch (behalve het salaris haha)."
Nadelen: "Niets!"

Voordelen: "Both flights I was on were somewhat empty, so I had an open seat next to me. Despite some delays taking off, each arrival was not too late."
Nadelen: "Had to check a bag at the gate, despite being under the two-bag limit. However I was not charged (as my destination was intercontinental)."

Voordelen: "Easy check in, accommodations for a seat preference, kind crew service on board, good food, free entertainment-good selection of movies and music, at no extra charge. on time going to WAW, and 30 min. early coming back to EWR. Flight coming back was cancelled due to technical difficulties, but no problems with rescheduling, LOT rep. was very helpful. No forced charges for checked-in and carry-on bags-BIG differentiator ! used 787 Dreamliner."

Voordelen: "the crew was great and nice. it was a really long flight and the captain explained the route clearly."

Nadelen: "Employees at the WAW airport. They hired new people. Young people. And they act like Gods. From shaking heads to improper comments to the passengers. Quality of sound at the airport sucks. All announcements hard to understand."

Nadelen: "I was forced to check in my hand luggage, but the Amsterdam personnel attached to it a tag without any flight information, so this luggage missed my plane in Warsaw on the connecting flight and arrived later that day as misplaced piece. LOT needs to fix the hand luggage tagging system on connecting flights."

Nadelen: "My bag didn't arrive in Warsaw. I asked the LOT representative at JFK to verify that my bag was on the flight between NYC and Warsaw. She said that it was, but it wasn't there when I arrived"

Voordelen: "The boarding and the flight itself was fast as there were a lot of people for connecting flights in Warsaw."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for 1.5h which is not ok. I see that for LOT is a standard practice unfortunately."

Voordelen: "I liked the new modern Dreamliner, the in-flight food, the entertainment, and the comfort."
Nadelen: "I was I could have stayed on vacation longer."

Voordelen: "they were not very late - within one hour."
Nadelen: "For three of us we had only one bag to check. They charged us 70 euro for that bag. All their flights were 30-60 minute late."

Voordelen: "The crew was super nice. Everything went smoothly."
Nadelen: "My gluten free meal had a carrot cake... the first ingredient was Wheat! If you have any type of allergy do not trust their food!"

Voordelen: "All was well from checking in to baggage claim."

Nadelen: "We were just surprised by the charges for our checked bags. Thought we had it all covered, but no!"

Voordelen: "The seats do recline, more space than Delta or United"

Nadelen: "I had to pay to check the first piece of luggage 85€ one way. I was not inform of that when I bough the ticket and I could have chosen a different airline If I had considered that expense. The first piece used to be free intercontinental flights but now it varies depending on the company. I find difficult to find this information when buying and it makes a great difference in the final price you pay. I found strange flight attendants having a very loud conversation in a very quiet flight where most of the people were sleeping."

Nadelen: "The fact that people in coach class up to rows 28 as 2 choices of food and from row 29 and up have no choice we have to eat what they have twice to me"

Voordelen: "Great lie flat seat. Nice FAs."
Nadelen: "Food was not that great for intl C"

Voordelen: "In flight meal was one of the best I have ever had."
Nadelen: "Could not choose when to start a movie. If you wanted to watch one, you had to turn it on from the beginning or you would start in the middle. Plane could have been cooler as well."

Nadelen: "75 euros per bag on an international flight is robbery. I was also on my honeymoon, which I know shouldn't guarantee anything, but wow did it leave a bad impression, particularly when I hear stories of free upgrades all the time and I couldn't even get a free bag."

Nadelen: "Though the weather was fine - no excuse - the 7 hours delay! the fact that instead of landing in Newark (my original reservation), we landed in JFK! VERY INCONVENIENT AND AN EXTRA EXPENSE! The fact that in Lisbon airport I had to wait more than one hour to reach the help desk and then plead to receive a voucher for refreshment (left Madeira on an early flight, no breakfast on that flight, the flight to NY delayed till 5 PM!). I chose TAP because it was the most direct way to reach Madeira - but the delays on both flights were more than unfortunate - it was simply poor service."

Voordelen: "Flight was great"
Nadelen: "Had to pay extra for my only bag! Didn’t know it wasn’t in the coat of the ticket"

Voordelen: "The stewards and stewardessen were very professional and friendly"

Nadelen: "flight was delayed. ended up missing our flight from newark home."

Voordelen: "Friendly and kind captain and crew"
Nadelen: "I was very very sick, so after the 3 hours delay I asked to stay in Lisbon and be sending next day to continue my journey home ... Surprisingly TAP told me that they could pay the hotel in Newark, but not in Lisbon.. Go figure! Called TAP Customer Service 4 times, 2 from Lisbon 2 from Newark... all cases more than 1 hour wait... AND THEY NEVER EVER ANSWERED!?!?!"

Nadelen: "1) I tried several times while traveling but was unable to figure out how to choose a vegetarian option for the flight. When I called customer service, after a long hold time, the woman I finally spoke to told me it was too late to order vegetarian and refused to help me. I have never flown another airline (Air India, Turkish Air, United, American, China Southern, etc., etc.) that did not make this easy to choose during booking or check-in and that did not already have a standard ovo-lacto vegetarian option on the regular menu. Vegetarians practice for all sorts of reasons, including religion and health needs. It's unacceptable to make it so difficult to meet your meal needs while trapped on a plane for nine hours. 2) The check-in agent did not know the rule about all remaining seats being opened for passenger choice three hours before booking and insisted we had to pay to get aisle seats despite one of us having a health problem necessitating her standing up and walking every 45 minutes. Then another agent told us we couldn't choose seats for free for our Porto to Newark flight when we check in for our Madrid-Porto flight because it wasn't technically three hours before the Porto-Newark departure. But how were we supposed to choose seats for the Porto-Newark flight three hours in advance if we are in an airplane flying to Porto at that time? This makes no sense. Seats should be opened for every leg of a same-day journey at the same time. The agents were unhelpful and unsympathetic. 3) This was an old plane without options to choose a film or show to watch. Instead, passengers could flip through a few channels and hope to find something of interest that was already playing -- there was no way to begin a film or show from the beginning if you landed on it in the middle of its running time. I cannot recommend TAP Portugal to any of my friends, family, or colleagues after this experience."

Voordelen: "Allw"

Nadelen: "I was told that I can check in my luggage free of charge. So I bought some wine and checked in for the connection flights. They charged 35 euros and to final destination 75 euros. I tried to watch some movies and they had only one English channel. I couldn’t believe that kind of shitty system still exists. I don’t recommend it."

Nadelen: "I have traveled to and from Portugal in TAP for many years and never ever did I have to pay for a checked bag till this year. It is totally a robbery to be charging people for 1 checked bag of only 50lbs. not only is it ridiculous but robbery. You charge a lot of money for the flights as it is and to go and charge people to check a bag on an international flight is insane. It is to bad I have to fly back with you because I will not be flying with you ever again after this I will take my money elsewhere. Also you need to let people know that they are being charged for luggage when the are booking their flight because when I booked my flight nowhere did it say I had to pay for my luggage. It already was rediculous that we are only aloud 1 50lb bag checked and now you want people to pay for it too? Pretty soon you minus well have people just get on a plane naked!!"

Voordelen: "Left on time, arrived early. Food and snacks were good. Very attentive crew."
Nadelen: "Can't think of anything."

Voordelen: "Employees are very nice."

Voordelen: "Flight attendants were reponsive. Plane was comfortable enough. Good entertainment options."
Nadelen: "Plane was a little warm. Would have liked more information in English."

Nadelen: "Wouldn't let people approach the desk to ask questions before boarding. Crew very un pleasant and forceful throughout the trip. Would not look forward to flying with TAP again."

Voordelen: "Not much"
Nadelen: "Long flight uncomfortable seats"

Voordelen: "So accommodating!! Top of the line!"

Nadelen: "1. Food. I think that sandwich and juice are not enough for 3 hours flight that costs 130 euros. 2. Departure time. The flight was delayed for more than 1 hours. When we arrived at Schiphol it was night already and trains to towns around were super rare. So we came in home at 3 a.m. instead of the planned 1 a.m."

Voordelen: "The food in Economy was way better than usual U.S. airline food. Ground staff in Newark were helpful in retrieving a book I left on the plane. Captain had the seat belt sign off early and turned it back on late in descent which allowed people to visit the restrooms. Video entertainment was good."
Nadelen: "Captain should have made more P.A. announcements during the coast in over Cape Cod to point out areas of interest"

Voordelen: "Center aisle seat was comfortable and pnethy of room for my carryon overhead and underseat."
Nadelen: "I would like to see all TAP planes come with a standard entertainment option on the headrest in front of you with the advanced menu option of movies, games, radio, etc. and ensure all headphone jacks are operational. (Thisnflight the screen was messed up...not something you want to look at for 8 hours. ) I couldn't eat half the food because the salad wasn't anything but cabbage and a tomato and the corn and meat dish was cold and weird. I don't know what the dessert was but I got it down. I think the sandwich I got before landing was pesto and mayonnaise but I'm not sure. I didn't get much of it down before gagging. I wish when booking a flight you were given the menu or you could choose early in the flight and then be served. I bet it would cut down on wasted food and money."

Voordelen: "The crew is always professional and keeps you informed of what changes there are."

Nadelen: "I found it very frustrating that we were told at the ticket counter the boarding would begin at 11:15am for a 12:45pm flight time. I arrived at the airport over two hrs in advance and then had to run a significant distance through the airport and sweat and be unnecessarily anxious waiting on the customs line only to arrive at the gate at 11:20am, to have my bags checked for a second time and then be unable to get any food or coffee before a flight that did not begin boarding for another 40 minutes. I did and still do not see the need for that additional luggage/security check and then being held at the gate for almost an extra hour for seemingly no reason at all."

Voordelen: "TAP and the personnel from TAP were fantastic."
Nadelen: "The Dutch/KLM gate agents were horrible. I was treated rudely and unprofessionally."

Voordelen: "Great flight! Unexpectedly good amount of food and good entertainment. On time. Seats were comfortable w good room."
Nadelen: "Boarding was pretty disorganized and crowded and seemed like it took even longer than it normally takes. we were lined up for a while before boarding initiated."

Voordelen: "Meal was good."
Nadelen: "Service was poor, the seat was not comfortable."

Voordelen: "The movie selection was good."
Nadelen: "Food was pretty bad, the flight attendant was unfriendly, which is unlike any Portuguese we have met in our trip, maybe she was just having a bad day."

Nadelen: "No air from above. Just an all around bad flight with so many problems."

Voordelen: "Out of the 100+ flights I've been on in my life. TAP Portugal has been the worst and least professional."
Nadelen: "My first flight from Madrid to Portugal was cancelled (at midnight) so I had to sleep in the terminal because the bus they provided to the hotel couldn't take all of us. Then my flight to New Jersey was delayed several hours making me miss my next flight to Denver (home) and I had to spend a 2nd night in the terminal. I never received and hotel/food/taxi vouchers. I will do everything to avoid flying with TAP Portugal ever again."

Voordelen: "The worst entertainment system I've seen."

Voordelen: "Nice flight, clean planes, decent amount of beverages/food provided, good TVs"

Nadelen: "Once we entered the boarding area we weren't allowed back out to get a sandwich, souvenir, etc. This was absolutely unacceptable. I felt like a prisoner in that area. I can't believe they thought this was OK."

Voordelen: "Good in every way"

Nadelen: "Old plane. Floor lighting was duct tapped down... Very surprised to see. Nice that food was provided on a short flight but bread was ice cold and hard."
