Nadelen: "De onbetrouwbare procedures bij KLM en Schiphol. Kan niet online inchecken bij Delta: KLM operated. Alleen op Schiphol. Daar ook niet bij machine. Naar een loket. Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Nadelen: "We were arbitrarily re-seated due to equipment changes, back and forth and lost our original seat selection even though we wound up on a plane with the original configuration. An international call wait of 1.5 hours was required to just get us back into the economy plus section that we had originally paid for, Amsterdam check-in was chaotic. In-plane staff was not at all helpful with our desire to get seats on the outside rows of our section."

Voordelen: "Food was best in a long time. Steak salad was excellent, as was the little chocolate mousse."

In one instance, as they passed to pick up trash, they took two of my three items. They started walking on, and I tapped them as they passed to pick up the third. She brusquely turned and said: don't touch me to get my attention. No please; quite rude, and unnecessary."

Nadelen: "Seated in the rear middle seat. I had no options to select a seat when I checked in or made my reservation that wasn't an extra charge. I'mover 6' tall and middle seats are painful, especially cross country. Airlines need to be a little more attentive to their customers' needs. If a passenger is taller than average, and the flight is more than 60 minutes, provide comfortable seating at no extra charge. If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

Nadelen: "They should provide good hindi movies and songs in the flight"

Voordelen: "We took off and landed early. The crew was wonderful and the snacks were exactly what I needed."

Voordelen: "When I finally got on a flight (see what I didn't like), the crew was very helpful and the flight was comfortable."
Nadelen: "When I checked in online, I received boarding passes for the first two legs of the trip, but was told to see a gate agent in Amsterdam for the boarding pass for that flight. It turns out that there was a problem, attributed by one of the KLM staff that I talked with to "a communication problem between Delta and KLM." As a result, I was finally given a stand-by boarding pass. Since the flight was full, I was denied boarding. After hours of trying to figure this out, the KLM staff put me on a flight for the next day and organized a stay at an airport hotel. The KLM staff were very nice, but it seemed to take a very long time to figure this out. They also failed to note that the denial of boarding in the records, which caused a problem in my return flight. The upshot: I missed a follow-on flight to Budapest and had to pay a huge rebooking fee for that missed flight. I also missed a day of my vacation."

Nadelen: "As usual, a small space on a full flight. Pretty uncomfortable."

Voordelen: "Lots of seat space even in economy, I felt very comfortable and not cramped on my flight. Food was decent and flight attendants were very attentive. My flight was kind of an outlier experience as someone on my flight fell very ill and needed immediate medical attention. The KLM employees on board did a very good job of taking care of the situation and making sure everyone else on board still had a calm flight experience."
Nadelen: "My connecting flight was scheduled too close to my landing time."

Voordelen: "I was upgraded to business class since my flight was overbooked and I had to miss my original flight"
Nadelen: "Security for traveling to US is a very time consuming with long lines and in my mind useless process which does not make me feel any more secure - just wasting time and resources."

Voordelen: "I didn't like anything about this flight. Only benefit of the doubt is the 2 hour delay as a runway in SF had shut down."
Nadelen: "We had seats at first where there was what looked like bubble gum bits stuck on one of the food trays. The flight was clearly not cleaned although it landed 2+ hours before the departure. We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

Nadelen: "Very long boarding process - security checks and a long walk from connecting flight"

Voordelen: "Delta fed us so well. They made sure we were as comfortable as possible. The flight attendants were nothing short of kind and always smiling. Even the pilot was very ethusiastic over the intercom before the flight. He made jokes and everyone laughed. In fact, it was the most I've ever heard from a pilot on any flight in my life. I would rate this the best flight I've ever had. Thanks, Delta!"

Nadelen: "De stoelen in Croatia airlines lijken wel van hout en zijn redelijk krap. Eten is pietepruime."

Voordelen: "Overall once on the flight the service and comfort were very good. Attendants were very nice and helpful. Always had a smile and made the flight enjoyable. We specifically picked this Airline for its service and reliablity"
Nadelen: "The checkin and "Automated" Baggage Check were a disaster. It took us a full 2 hours to check our bags and get to thru security and our gate. We were practically running to get to the end. The layout of the airport is very tough to get from point A to point B. Walking a long distance with multiple security checks. On top of that, the plane was almost an hour late boarding and then taking off. It was a mass of people with no way to cue for an orderly boarding process. No instructions or info given to allow us to go get something to eat or drink prior to boarding."

Nadelen: "Kosher food ordered was not satisfactory: meat too dry and compressed. I couldn't eat that. Overall Kosher meal was poor quality. Disappointing."

Voordelen: "Individual entertainment center with multiple video options, documentaries, old and new movies."
Nadelen: "The entire Economy and Economy + had to walk to a section in the middle to use few toilets, instead of having the restrooms spread out. This resulted in a long line and awkward waits facing 10 more people in a very small space. The blanket was not washed well, had long blond hair on it. The temperature was very cold."

Nadelen: "We were offered two hot meals, each time with the same 2 choices. That's not much to choose from..."

Nadelen: "The food was not enough, not taste. For 11 hours only two meals. I wanted to change my meal with another they refused"

Voordelen: "Lufthansa service is always incredible. Food is better than most other carriers and so is entertainment. Had a delay due to incoming flights, but staff made sure we had plenty of water and snacks while on the tarmac."

Nadelen: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Voordelen: "Afterall I did get rice iso pasta."
Nadelen: "Cold. My chair was bumped because us was just a little bit broader in the gangway than the other chairs. (54c) There is no possebility fot ordering foid for me: diet is without grains at all and without sugar at all."

Voordelen: "Pleasant staff, drinks including digestive, toilets situated downstairs"
Nadelen: "Boarding could have been done in sections, not all at once. Entertainment needs to be refreshed more often"

Voordelen: "the gate crew didn't care if there was chaos. no interaction with waiting passengers beyond those that queued up with direct questions. i'd liken the experience to herding cattle. customer service skills haven't been taught to these folks yet. if i were basing my lufthansa experience on this alone, i'd go out of my way to fly another airline next time. on the other hand, the people staffing the flight were extremely kind, professional, pleasant, personable. a much improved experience. so much so that i mentioned it to a few people once i got home. this crew has received more training on how to provide excellent service than the gate folks in frankfurt."
Nadelen: "gate crew's attitude. it feels as though they are disdainful of the traveller. customer service matters. manage the boarding process. be nice about it."

Nadelen: "Leg room in economy is inadequate for international flights. Seats had no cushion left in seat bottoms. It was like sitting on cement."

Voordelen: "Cabin Crew were again EXCELLENT!!!"
Nadelen: "No chargers at the seats. Not good on an 11 hour flight. And this was on one of your premiere giant planes."

Voordelen: "The entertainment touch screen system is so much easier to use than the planes that have the remote controls. Having all of the toilets downstairs was nice. It was less noisy and had a little space to stretch. The crew was very friendly and helpful."
Nadelen: "Even though I was sitting on the left side aisle seat (2-seat section), it was very cramped. I'm only 5'2" and my legs were very uncomfortable. Along with less leg room than other airlines, it felt like the seat itself was narrower too. The food quality control was disappointing. The meal I had on the first leg of my flight (Mumbai-Munich), I noticed that it expired by about 2 weeks. And the complimentary water bottles also had a past expiration date (although, I don't know how water expires). Generally speaking, I think all of the meals I ate on Lufthansa were subpar compared to the many Asian airlines I've used for overseas flights. Quality could be improved and I think there's a missed opportunity to incorporate meal options correlated to the airline or international destinations (German airline, why not bratwurst? Pretzel bread?)"

Voordelen: "The food was nice and the stewardess were professional."
Nadelen: "My ticket didn't specifically say I'm not allowed to have check-in luggage, so I needed to pay extra for that. I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"

Nadelen: "It was long terrible 24 hr journey with a pregnant wife"

Voordelen: "Upgrade to business class. Staff was accommodating"

Voordelen: "The UAL 747 was not a spring chicken anymore, looking a bit tired and faded, but the flight was uneventful and safe. The usual crying babies (WHY do parents feel the need to bring infants on board when the babies are unhappy and have no idea what's going on?!?) and customers with pneumonia (or maybe SARS or Ebola???) that you'll find on most full aircraft. I survived the earsplitting crying and the contagious coughs unscathed, so I'm satisfied with the flight."
Nadelen: "Crying babies, contagious respiratory diseases (standard for flights these days), aging aircraft."

Nadelen: "While on board, the flight attendants forgot to give me food. They gave me drinks, but good until I asked another attendant. Bad service!!!"

Voordelen: "Good plane, good crew, very nice having a row to myself. Loved the pretzel roll sandwich - good flavor, good texture, just the right amount of warmth!"
Nadelen: "Was spoiled by the 787 entertainment system on the outbound trip to London - this one was sluggish and dim. The curry chicken meal was not terrible, but not great."

Nadelen: "It was not a Lufthansa flight, as I had bought, but a United flight because of their partnership. The bathroom made me gag, the food and the entertainment left much to be desired but the service was good. Cannot complain about the flight attendants. Entertainment was also very 2008 with tine screens and not able to select what and when to watch. They only had movies and series on loop. Will avoid having to fly United in the future and will make sure I am indeed getting on a Lufthansa plane."

Voordelen: "It was good because I was placed in EconomyPlus"
Nadelen: "Was not able to check-in on line and I could not book my seat - so I was just assigned seating. Fortunately it worked and I got the window seat on the shorter flights and an aisle seat for the longer flight."

Nadelen: "I intensely disliked the 3 hour delay in Copenhagen!!! And that SAS offered the passengers in transit a meal voucher of only 50 danish Kronas, which was just enough to buy a tall Starbucks coffee drink but not enough to eat anything at the airport!"

Voordelen: "Nothing really; this looked like the cheapest transatlantic airline that I have ever taken. Will try to avoid in the future."
Nadelen: "Limited selection of food, snacks, and drinks Limited selection of movies"

Voordelen: "Boarding on time"

Voordelen: "This airline is punctual and the pilots are good."
Nadelen: "The service is minimal, you pay for any alcohol and the food is nothing to write home about."

Voordelen: "The only thing that saved the flight was a good crew and decent food."
Nadelen: "My husband uses a wheel chair and a delightful attendant wheeled him and about 20 other passengers to a very well equipped handicap area. There we all stayed until finally we demanded that we be taken to our flight which was supposed to leave in about 10 minutes. When we boarded the plane all the other passengers were already there and I was the last one on. All the overhead bins were taken and I had to put my carry-on under the seat which left me with almost no leg room. By the time we arrived in SFO my thighs and back hurt so much that I was worried maybe I would require medical attention. Which fortunately was not the case. It was luck that I had a bag that would actually fit under the seat."

Voordelen: "The crew on-board were polite and did a fairly decent job, with what they had to work with... It's a big long flight of 11+ hours, so tough to deal with so many people. An unexpected surprise was the nice selection of all types of movies to watch and kill time."
Nadelen: "300+ People on a plane will "radiate" heat, so the temperature inside the cabin after 6 hours was so hot that I was perspiring profusely. I even requested it be adjusted, which it seemed to be for a few minutes but then right back up to 27°C... it is too long of a flight to be that uncomfortable with no adjustments considered. I asked other passengers if they too were "uncomfortable" ALL said yes. This would have solved also in my opinion the screaming small children that were also obviously "irritated" A cooler cabin would have induced a "sleep" environment, none of which I was able to get. Sadly, based on this alone, I will not fly SAS again, unless Business Coach class or 1st Class. I was surprised that an additional Coca-Cola was charged for when some beverages were complimentary... puzzling."

Voordelen: "Made an effort to avoid the turbulence."
Nadelen: "Bumpy ride."

Voordelen: "- Seats are fairly comfy (as much as one can hope for an economy seat) - Excellent meals. I'm impressed that I'm getting things like ganache and cold-pressed juice in airline snacks!"
Nadelen: "- Wish the entertainment/movie selection was better, or that the foreign films had subtitles,"

Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"

Nadelen: "Not enough characters to express my disappointment."

Voordelen: "Delayed flight arrived nearly on time."
Nadelen: "- Boarding process chaotic. Boarding began 20minutes after the scheduled delayed-boarding time without any notice. Gate seating area at CPH was far too small - very stuffy and standing room only. - Aircraft on its last leg. Most of the A340's seats had broken cupholders. Restrooms were out of paper/soap with no attention from crew. Overhead personal lights were either burnt or malfunctioning. - Lunch meal was decent. pre-landing meal is the same as the snack... some sort of dry and non-appealing wrap. - Crew did not perform passenger safety-check before takeoff and landing (seat backs raised up and seat belts fastened)."

Voordelen: "Not much to say on a positive note, I want to avoid this airline if I can."
Nadelen: "Three and a half hour flight and all they offer free is coffee and soft drinks! The economy seats are small and the flight attendants are indifferent, until it's time to promote their duty free products. Find an airline with better customer service."

Nadelen: "I order through Kayak, which took me to priceline...Got my ticket and thought everything was fine...Until I got to the airport, apparently I got a SAS lite ticket and they charged me to check 3 bags 210 Euros...Unreal. I think its pricelines fault because they did not even offer bagage as an option..."

Voordelen: "I am pleased we landed."
Nadelen: "entertainment system did not function properly. when it did, movie selection was terrible. very mediocre flight experience by mediocre, government funded airline that doesn't really need to compete for business."

Nadelen: "Planes are old. No conveniences at all - none. Charged for one piece of luggage (my only piece) at the gate. Security process extremely slow. 1.5 hours early to airport and I made it on board by 9 mins. There plane sat for 20 mins on runway before departing."

Nadelen: "We paid $90 per checked bag. When we purchased our tickets we were never given an option to purchase luggage ahead of time, we were under the impression that luggage was included."

Nadelen: "The 70 euro bag check fee"

Nadelen: "Unexpected 70 euro baggage fee that I had no way to add online."

Nadelen: "Mostly junk food"

Nadelen: "Bag drop line was over 45 min. Only 2 attendants. Flight was late taking off. Baggage fee was outrageous. Site said 1 free bag, but that is carry on only. Checked bag was €70!!!! The flight was only $85."

Voordelen: "I liked the movie quality and overall order of the stuff and the flight."
Nadelen: "Since when do I have to pay for wine? :( Also, too few movie choices."

Voordelen: "Very comfortable 11+ hr flight. I also had an empty seat next to me so maybe that helped? The food was great."
Nadelen: "I wish the landscape cameras worked the entire time!"

Nadelen: "Flight was cancelled upon check in without any prior notice. Was forced to wait three hours in line for them to reroute to flight twelve hours later. Staff was rude, unapologetic, demanding and incompetent the entire time. Flight was packed, uncomfortable and smelled terrible. Flight was rough, landing was rough. Terrible airline."

Voordelen: "Ground crew was very helpful and flight was comfortable."

Voordelen: "The pilots were excellent : smooth takeoff and landing. The plane seemed a bit shaky at times in the air; perhaps it was windy, although the skies were clear. Good food; good stewardesses. Entertainment had very good movie choices and games."
Nadelen: "The side lights never were turned off, so it was hard to go to sleep. On a long overseas flight, there should be some down time. It was dark outside part of the time, but never dark inside the plane. The leg room is also a bit cramped for tall people."

Voordelen: "Food was ok"
Nadelen: "Crew members not friendly."

Voordelen: "The non stop to Copenhagen from San Francisco was excellent. We departed on time, arrived on time.The seats in coach were much more comfortable than other airlines. I will fly SAS again."
Nadelen: "I think if there were a few choices for the dinner service I would have been happy."

Nadelen: "During online check in and through the website, I was informed that I would be able to have one free checked bag. I was never prompted that I would have to pay additional. However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."

Voordelen: "The cabin is new and the crew is professional and nice"
Nadelen: "Food needs much improvement, it's the same menu as last year. They charge a fee for booking desired seats where they didn't have last year. Entertainment can have more recent movies."

Voordelen: "Great experience overall except for one flight attendant for inbound flight to Copenhagen - his attitude was a bit too casual although he was friendly."

Awesome imrpovement over recent years."
Nadelen: "Big struggle for airlines still remains varying quality customer service. Finnair still seems to struggle with this occasionally. Finnair can work harder to keep customer service quality high. Hate to say it, but perhaps letting the bitter, last generation flight attendants who seem to have a grudge about the decline of the glamour and benefits of the job as flying has become commonplace with more competition (seen this on Finnair & N America’s older airlines line United)"

Nadelen: "food"

Nadelen: "Layover and delay we're extremely wrong and they booked me on a separate flight from my party."

Nadelen: "Security service in Helsinki is quite unprofessional. It does not understand EU Security Rules for liquids at airports. Where do they find such guys?"

Voordelen: "Plenty of leg room, and I got an empty seat next to me! Food was served on time (an hour into the flight, and about two hours from the destination). The options were decent particularly the caserole in terms of portions. Plenty of overheard compartment space, even with a nearly full flight."
Nadelen: "The arm rest between seats doesn't raise to the full upright position, only one-half way. The TV needed to be reset by the purser due to it being stuck on kiddie mode. If you're a snacker, bring food."

Voordelen: "Great service, good legroom, huge screens for entertainment, and nice Marimekko designed blankets and other items. Overall a very nice experience"

Voordelen: "I really enjoyed the flight...everything was smooth and we arrived on schedule."

Nadelen: "Had to pay more for extra baggage than a person with the "right" ticket #'s. How to know this trivia in Feb. when buying ticket? My starting #'s did not allow me to prepay online. Instead, rush to airport, pay more by having to pay in person. 2. I also could NOT get my boarding pass online. Instead, forced to drive to airport day before just to be sure I'd be on plane! Finnair counter, Hannele politely double-checked all's well, handed me boarding pass. Hannele told to buy extra baggage online being cheaper. This promise, not accurate. Absurd!"

Nadelen: "i get sit 57 E both way forvard and come back. My travel was very long - 4 flyds. One of them t his is 11 hours. I am very very tired."

Voordelen: "The crew was friendly and helpful. There were multiple runs for drinks and the meal was delicious. The entertainment tablet offered good movies and tv shows."
Nadelen: "The lights where not lowered down to make it easy for people to rest and make it easier to fall sleep."

Voordelen: "They were on time"
Nadelen: "Low level service, quarrel at the check in about size of the hand luggage (fits all standards, excepts self imposed Finnair rule <8 kg). Poor to no service."

Voordelen: "Pilots did a great job at Helsinki. There were a strong wind and rain. Crew was really sweet."
Nadelen: "There was a confusion with boarding passes in Helsinki. Some of passengers were waiting almost until beginning of boarding with no seat number. Also was a delay because they're waiting for a some passenger from a connecting flight . Seats haven't enough leg room for person 5"8 but crew and food was amazing."

Nadelen: "Movie entertainment options were not consistent from plane to plane. On the arriving flight, the plane had an impressive offering of movies and tv shows for passenger viewing during flight, however, on the return flight, there was much less available."

Nadelen: "No room on flight ran out of wine and food before getting to the back 1/3 of plane where I was sitting I can say one of the worst travel flights I've ever had"

Nadelen: "Usual boarding with people in rear having to get past people in lower row numbers having been boarded first."

Voordelen: "Great flight and nice people"
Nadelen: "Because the flight was through british airways, extra baggage was $90 much more expensive than Finnair's prices. After paying that before departure to London I recieved an email from British Airways that stated an extra bag for both my flight to London and return flight to San Francisco had been fully paid for. At the airport I was told by British Airways employees that I would have to pay another $90 regardless of what my email said because their official prices are $90 each way not both. I showed them the confirmation I had recieved and all they could say was "that is confusing". There was very little empathy or attempt to help. As a result I was forced to leave the suitcase behind with my acquaintance in London and do an in airport shuffle of all of my belongings. The flight was great but beware emails that may not match up with online info."

Voordelen: "The fact that I got home in one piece I really like."
Nadelen: "Planes are old, small tv screens in aisles, older seats and headrests. I had requested Gluten Free meals and on the way to Amsterdam they did okay (besides the snacks). On the way back they didn't even offer me the second meal GF, I had to ask another flight attendant who went looking for it and found one.. so it was there, they just hadn't bothered to look for it. I also never understand why you wouldn't start boarding with the last rows? Is that just me? The aisles are always so crowded when the last rows walk in and there's always a line."

Nadelen: "Had to rush to my next flight and the gates were far apart."

Nadelen: "The crew moved me to another seat on the return flight which allowed me entertainment but I hadThe entertainment console at my seat location on both flights to and from London did not work. That's 10 hours! to move away from my companions."

Voordelen: "It was a comfortable, professionally (British Airways) managed flight at a good price."

Voordelen: "9 month old A380 with dedicated flight crew - everything on time - what more is there to ask for?"
Nadelen: "Airplane meals tend to be carb-heavy and the food service was no exception. Always a roll or bread but this is normal."

Voordelen: "The plane was not full"
Nadelen: "I wish it truly were Finnair instead of American: The seat, the legroom, the fact that you have to pay 20% more to have the same rotten seat 12 rows further up front, the food that's barely fit for human consumption, the presence of 20 year old cathode screens that can't be watched but do prevent the cabin being dark, etc."

Voordelen: "For once the seats have enough space. Airlines think we are cattle and that they can pack as much as possible every airplane. For once I was glad to have a confortable experience."

Nadelen: "In-flight entertainment was not working. Made and 11hr flight seem light 20 hrs."

Voordelen: "Flight was half empty, room to spread out"

Voordelen: "The flight left on time, boarding was a breeze, the food was the only good food I've had while flying ever, seating was better than I was expecting, the movie selection was vast and up to date, and we made phenomenal timing in getting to our destination"
Nadelen: "Checking in online was difficult - it couldn't find my booking. I was panicking three hours before I was scheduled to depart! I was instructed to go check in at the desk by the service rep on the phone, which was straightforward process, but I was half-expecting being told that my booking had been cancelled"

Voordelen: "The crew was amazing. It was a long flight and they kept bringing us drinks and snacks for 10+ hours."

Nadelen: "Was not able to check in online on either leg."

Nadelen: "The first plane was absolutely filthy. I paid for Wifi and when connection was spotty put my laptop down still with half of the data I purchased unused, but then it wouldn't let me back on later. Food was awful. On the first flight they skipped me for drink service entirely."

Nadelen: "Flight not being delayed"

Voordelen: "There wasn't anything special about this flight to like, unless you like leaving late and no leg room."
Nadelen: "Try leaving on time for once, I nearly missed my connection because Aer Lingus is terrible at on time departures. I'm just under 2 meters tall, the seats were so tiny my knees were pressed into to the seat in front of me the entire trip."

Voordelen: "Allowed us to have a week layover in Dublin on the way to Amsterdam"
Nadelen: "Most cramped flight I have ever experienced. Tiny seats, no legroom, and super narrow aisles so that people walking up and down would invariably bump your shoulder when they walked by - makes for a difficult sleep. Rude air hostesses Waited on ground 2 HOURS, inaccurate info, no service, nada"

Voordelen: "Plane was clean and comfortable."
Nadelen: "Plane arrived late - no updates from the gate crew. ...coffee and soda is not free..."

Voordelen: "The crew was cheerful and the food was decent. It's a nice option for going from Europe to the US. Going through US customs in Dublin is much more convenient than waiting in line for 2+ hours in America after a 10+ hour flight."
Nadelen: "Boarding seemed a bit chaotic. Everyone had already lined up before they even started boarding business class. The seats and the on-demand IFE are a bit dated."

Voordelen: "Average economy for a 90 minute flight. Crew were cheerful."
Nadelen: "They don't have a free drink service like most European airlines."

Nadelen: "We reserved specific seats by calling Aer Lingus directly 4 months prior to our trip. When we arrived in Dublin from Paris, we were told by a very uncaring Aer Lingus representative that those seats were not available and were assigned seats that split up our family. He acted as if he could care less. The food was average. I have never flown internationally and had to pay for alcohol. Seat space is never great in economy, but this was one of the worst. Luggage for our entire family was lost for 36 hours."

Nadelen: "Poor gate service, insufficient information on flight, which was flown by Aer Lingus."

Voordelen: "I thought the Airbus 330 was new, well maintained and clean, but the plastic fittings and layout were cheap. The crew was friendly and conversational."
Nadelen: "The food, which was small and unappetising was served 1 hour into an 11 hour flight, and aside from a burrito near the end, nothing was served. They said that the drink cart would not be coming around but the one time 1hour into the flight before dinner, and wouldn't be coming round again, so We'd best order our drinks ahead of time if we wanted any wine etc to have with dinner. Very inconvenient. Leg room ridiculously small ."

Voordelen: "Clean plane, great service, delicious food with a menu card to boot - nice touch - good entertainment: I highly recommend Aer Lingus!"
Nadelen: "The American pre-clearance in Dublin did not mind running me a half an hour late to be the last to board the plane with everyone waiting and ready to go, very stressful!"

Voordelen: "The staff were so, so helpful and made sure we were all as comfortable as possible. I liked all the snacks and drinks and the no charge for checked bags. (A big help after a long trip and short on $!) And the best part? They dealt with U.S customs before we left Dublin so that we didn't have to deal with the long lines in Boston. So grateful!!!"
Nadelen: "My entertainment screen froze every time I tried to play a game, had to reset a few times before I gave up."

Nadelen: "We just returned home to New York from our trip to Amsterdam and Ireland. The trip itself was amazing despite the sub par customer service we received from Aer Lingus that definitely put a damper on our vacation. Our flight on Wed July 19th from NYC to Amsterdam went off without a hitch until we claimed our luggage, my brand new suitcase was covered with stains. Very disappointing but we went on to enjoy our time in Amsterdam. The real problems began when we flew from Amsterdam to Dublin, first we were seated all over the plane and worst of all when we arrived my husband's bag was lost. We went to customer service and completed the paper work. Everything my husband had for the trip was in that bag. Aer Lingus only texted him once and after that he had to call every day to check the status of his bag. Instead of exploring Dublin, we had to spend Sunday shopping to get him clothes for the trip. No word from Aer Lingus. Monday morning July 24 he calls to find the status of his bag. It was found in Amsterdam and was to be flown to Dublin and shipped to our next stop in Kinsale. We arrived Monday evening to find that the bag had not been shipped. Again no word from Aer Lingus. My husband called to find out the status and made arrangements to pick the bag up when we were flying back to NYC. We were happy the bag was found but my husband still was without all of his belongings for our entire trip. On Thursday July 27 we arrived at the airport early to retrieve the bag before we checked in to our flight. We were dismayed to find that there was not a person to talk to but a phone on a column to call to get help retrieving the luggage. There was a queue at the phone with people ahead of us in similar situations. Finally someone came out to escort my husband to get his bag. We were traveling with our son, and again our seats were scattered about the plane. There was no one at checkin to help us, and we didn't get help at the gate. So we had to sit separately for the 6 hour and 30 minute flight. When we claimed our bags, my bag now had tears along with the stains. This was a brand new suitcase and it is now ruined. My husband says he will never fly Aer Lingus again and this was the worst customer service he has had in his life. The customer service was virtually non existent."

Voordelen: "Flight went smoothly, staff were pleasant, seat was fine, entertainment worked well"
Nadelen: "The overall feel is that the staff are very rigid about their rules. They come down the aisle at their appointed times, but never just check up to see how people are doing. The rule about registering for a vegetarian meal 72 hours advance is ridiculous. there should always be meat-free options for people, not just vegetarians. The flight attendant was kind enough to find some fruit salad for me, out of the crew meals, but she shouldn't have to. in general they don't feel very warm or inviting."

Nadelen: "It was delayed, stewardess not friendly"

Voordelen: "Friendly staff. Made efforts to assure passengers there were arrangements made for them in Dublin due to our late departure."
Nadelen: "I rated food and entertainment as 1 star since there is no N/A option. Our short flight did not provide them."

Voordelen: "Friendly flight attendants!"
Nadelen: "Inflight entertainment needs upgrades: better options and better performing screens."

Voordelen: "My flight arrived late from Amsterdam. Once I finally got my boarding pass to San Francisco it stated them he gate closed at 10:45, it was already 11:15. I don't know where to go. There was no one to guide me until I was close to the gate and finally after running the entire distance I was told that the flight would not board till 11:30 and depart st 12:30."
Nadelen: "Awe linfus should provide assistance st gates and throughout the airport. The entire experince could have been made easier with a few words of assistance."

Voordelen: "i liked nothing from the experience on this leg or the journey. I was frustrated and angry."
Nadelen: "The check in procedure in Amsterdam took almost two hours. Then I was late to the gate. There was no assistance getting to the gate for none of the passengers who experienced these delays."

Voordelen: "I liked the in-flight crew. They were very pleasant and helpful!"
Nadelen: "The delays! The check-in app was down and the ladies at the desk didn't seem to be in any hurry to make sure we didn't miss our flight. It was the worst experience."

Voordelen: "I understand the need for rules, but delaying 250 People because three idiots check baggage and don't show up is absurd. You need to have your own people on site who can take it off. I'll never fly you again."
Nadelen: "Further, you did little to ameliorate the situation for those stranded. I appreciate the hotel, but air Canada, united etc ALL offer cash compensation for delays caused by the airline..you didn't even offer an onboard drink. Also, the flight to JFK left 10 minutes after we landed: you should have held that flight rather than cost us all time/money/stress!"

Nadelen: "Everything from start to finish incompetent."

Voordelen: "Crew members were impressive. Upon questions and requests, they respond in friendly and elegant manner."

Voordelen: "Seats are fairly comfortable in coach and the blanket and pillow help."
Nadelen: "Aer Lingus is definitely a budget carrier and alcoholic beverages are not complementary in coach. Not a big problem, but it is a downside to the overall experience. Definitely not the level of service I expect on BA and not as good as on the AA flight to Glasgow."

Voordelen: "The entertainment package was varied, enjoyable and needed for an eleven hour flight. The service was average as was the food."
Nadelen: "As usual the seats are to small and too close together, front to back. What offends me is that the airline offers a minimal meal and or treats with an occasional offering of water and then turns around and offers to sell you extra food or drinks. Sadly though I believe most airlines operate this way now. I suppose it is what you pay for now. It sure isn't the way it was even a decade ago."

Voordelen: "the crew was wonderful and so very friendly"

Voordelen: "Crew was friendly and helpful. I require gluten free meals and was accommodated with meals and snacks."
Nadelen: "Sound on entertainment was terrible. I couldn't understand dialogue and background noises was too loud. Gave up after 10 minutes and read the books I had brought on board. I understand having to pay for alcohol but it would have been nice to get a wine with dinner for no charge."

Voordelen: "The crew was very helpful and after becoming ill after eating the meal, one of the flight attendants was extremely nice and checked in on me from time to time to give me water."
Nadelen: "The special meal I received actually made me quite ill. I highly recommend bringing your own food on board or purchasing the snacks on the flight instead."

Nadelen: "We were not seated together. Unable to choose seats in advance or contact them in advance by phone as closed for holiday."

Voordelen: "comfortable seat in economy class flight not crowded"
Nadelen: "no food or drink, unless I was willing to buy a bottle of water for $3."

Voordelen: "Friendly crew. Seats were comfortable"

Voordelen: "we arrived an hr ahead of time. the staff was mostly pretty pleasant."
Nadelen: "Food is just downright terrible. really slow service. forgot about my section of the plan. past us to refill and never came back. Seats are uncomfortable despite the decent leg room. Just not a great experience."

Voordelen: "Friendly service"
Nadelen: "No wifi on the plane...it did not work on both of my flights."

Voordelen: "I've traveled Aer Lingua several times and been pleased enough to keep choosing AL for my transatlantic trips, however this, the on February 4th 2017 was my last favorite because this time i felt the low-budgetness of travel. there was less leg room, the food was edible, the in-flight A/V was not worth the effort of trying to watch our listen and the crew in my section not very attentive. Having said that, this was a one time mediocre experience that I'm reviewing and hasn't put me off AL at all - it's a good airline and I will continue flying with them."

Voordelen: "None"
Nadelen: "I was unable to change the flight in any way shape or form (even though I requested that weeks in advance). The only alternative was paying $+1000 more to change. While I still had tons of questions of my options (and was calm and polite!), they hung up on me. I ended up not even going on my flight and note being able to cancel my flight. Ridiculous, rude, and plain unpleasant. I will never take this airline again."

Nadelen: "There wasn't any good food options and there was a charge for everything. Not good....."

Voordelen: "Not much"
Nadelen: "1. BA said I couldn't get a seat before 24 hrs before. Then when I tried to get a seat assignment I was told (by email) to contact Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus said that I should have called before 24 hrs before, and that seats were now in control of the gate (this still 22 hrs before flight time). Total lack of coordination. 2. At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Voordelen: "Worst experience flying of my life and I've flown quite a lot. Showed up for my flight in Amsterdam to a connecting flight in Dublin to sfo for Christmas. They told me I didn't have a seat on the ams-Dublin flight. Waited and asked everyone with aer Lingus who was available which was one woman who ignored me as much as possible whether I would make it home for Christmas. No info given. Finally got thrown (literally) a ticket after the plane was completely boarded. Barely made my connecting flight in Dublin. Arrived in sfo and my luggage never arrived. A week later, after countless phone calls, bag descriptions, and headaches, my luggage was located in Dublin. I just received my bag today with everything I needed for Christmas but didn't have. Basically aer Lingus ruined my Christmas 2016 and I still can't figure out who to log a complaint to. Worst airline ever."

Voordelen: "Crew was good. They were a bit slow with the drinks and food though."
Nadelen: "The seat in front of me was broken so every time the passenger in front of me reclined, she was basically in my lap."

Voordelen: "Nice crew, fairly comfortable seats. Lots of tv and movie choices."
Nadelen: "Food was not as good as flight in other direction. Limp and close to expiration. Boarding on this airline is always a rush. Flight is announced and advertised as wifi enabled but impossible to connect, despite multiple tries throughout the twelve hour flight."

Voordelen: "Food was good"
Nadelen: "Alcohol was not free"

Nadelen: "Check in was not working on line. Very frustrating."

Voordelen: "Service was good"
Nadelen: "Delayed by 30 min"

Nadelen: "My checked golf bag was not at baggage claim on arrival. Not delivered for 2 days causing havoc and extra expense for my golf vacation."

Nadelen: "i checked my luggage on tuesday 09 13 2016 and didn't get it back until monday 09 19 2016...very very very inconvenient since i was flying back on wednesday 09 21 2016 very early in the morning..."

Voordelen: "Option of 2 seats along sides instead of 3 Crew was helpful rebooting the entertainment systems"
Nadelen: "Charged for alcohol on an overseas flight. Entertainment counsel didn't work or was really slow thru most of the flight"

Voordelen: "Schoon vliegtuig Vriendelijk personeel Netjes op tijd"
Nadelen: "Het grootste nadeel is de geringe beenruimte (184)"

Voordelen: "See comments about the special meal. I did like it that the crew communicated better regarding water and beverages on the flight from Dublin, than on the flight to Dublin."
