Nadelen: "I had 15 hours layover in Amsterdam so I got me a hotel.one hour after I got to the hotel I got a notification from Kayak app asking me to go get my bag from Schiphol. My bag was supposed to be directly shipped to PDX. I had to leave my hotel back to the airport and spend 2 hours trying to find it only to be told that it was going to PDX. I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Voordelen: "We got almost an absurd amount of food and drink on the flight, which was great. A meal, two snacks, a bottle of water, and several passes of the drink cart. The flight staff were all great, the entertainment options were plentiful. Really just a great flight."
Nadelen: "The Amsterdam airport was ludicrous. We were making a connection and had to go through four different levels of security. Our 1hr45minute layover was completely taken up just waiting in random lines to have someone look at our passports, or ask us to pull up our full flight itinerary email (teh boarding pass was not enough for her....). I appreciate the security attempts but it was really over the top, and the staff had no idea what they were doing (were bad at directing people to the right place or explaining what they needed). Note that NONE of this was the fault of Delta or KLM, completely teh airport."

Nadelen: "This flight was on a Transavia codeshare with Delta and a real downer after coming from a Delta One business class segment. An uncontrolled mass boarding, crammed in seating, no amenities and charges for a drink of water made this a pretty crappy flight. The crew was nice though."

Nadelen: "When I checked in online, I received boarding passes for the first two legs of the trip, but was told to see a gate agent in Amsterdam for the boarding pass for that flight. It turns out that there was a problem, attributed by one of the KLM staff that I talked with to "a communication problem between Delta and KLM." As a result, I was finally given a stand-by boarding pass. Since the flight was full, I was denied boarding. After hours of trying to figure this out, the KLM staff put me on a flight for the next day and organized a stay at an airport hotel. The KLM staff were very nice, but it seemed to take a very long time to figure this out. They also failed to note that the denial of boarding in the records, which caused a problem in my return flight. The upshot: I missed a follow-on flight to Budapest and had to pay a huge rebooking fee for that missed flight. I also missed a day of my vacation."

Even the pilot was very ethusiastic over the intercom before the flight. He made jokes and everyone laughed. In fact, it was the most I've ever heard from a pilot on any flight in my life. I would rate this the best flight I've ever had. Thanks, Delta!"

Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Voordelen: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

And to add injury to insult her bag was left behind in JFK during our transfer for our flight to Seattle. No big deal right, Delta will deliver the bag to our house the next day, wrong, we were told we have to go to the airport ourselves to get the bag."

They will be hearing from me."

Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

Nadelen: "It was raining in Prague so I can understand that luggage is going to get wet. But when we opened our luggage at least half of our clothes were wet. It would seem that the luggage sat out for quite a while prior to departure for that much soaking of clothes. Fortunately we are staying in Paris for a few days and can get our clothes dried out."
Voordelen: "food was good, leg room was decent for economy"
Nadelen: "didn't have usb charging ports in the seats on one of the flights, in flight entertainment can improve."
Nadelen: "The food is awful The entertainment, i.e. movie selection, is not very good and doesn't change very much. The seats are not comfortable and my chair did not recline."
Nadelen: "Bording far away, got my cabin luggage and everyone elses into the cellar because ¨it didn´t fit in the plane¨. There was plenty of room, I had breakable stuff in my luggage, didn´t get the chance to choose. No entertainment AT ALL. Confort: no leg space at all. Not an AirFrance plane, subcontracted. Lousy food."
Nadelen: "We tried to check our bags through Charles DeGaulle onto our connecting Air Canada flight and the agent refused to even discuss it. Pretty bad service."

Voordelen: "No drinks or snacks for econome class. Its just a 1 hour flight, KLM Does serve on 1 hour flights."

Nadelen: "One of the worst experience I’ve had, if not the worst. Lack of communication between flight attendants at gate was the main reason for missing our flight, after 2 delays from the previous flight. When we got to the gate they closed it at that moment, earlier than it should have. A Mr. Fenney, person in charge at the gate, didn’t help much. Just went through the motion and as slow as possible trying to help us. It seemed he just wanted to pretend he was helping us. Worse was his attitude when telling is the gate has already closed, didn’t do anything to help us, nothing at all. We had to literally get information out of him. We then went to customer service were the same thing happened, a lack of care that we missed our flight due to things out of our control. Even to the point where the agent told us “be sure to be there on time this time”, like if it was our fault we missed it (we told her the details of our situation). Till this point they don’t seem to care. They left about 15 people, that i know of, hanging. If they had better comunication between gates and waited a miserably 5 more minutes (although they closed the gate earlier then they should have) everyone would have made it. Throughout the whole process we noticed that american airlines employees did not care that many on that first flight had connection flights. They were just going through the motion, slowly while all of us were a bit desperate knowing that the layover time was going to be very close."
Nadelen: "Not enough overhead bin storage space. If they want to start charging people for bags they need to improve their overhead storage ability. This was a commuter flight from Amsterdam to London. So the entertainment was not really there"
Voordelen: "The captain made a very smooth landing in extremely poor conditions."
Nadelen: "Everything you don't get in business class. Since the flight was only 40 minutes, I put up with it."
Nadelen: "One world premium member, last seat next to the bathroom, rude check in staff who we’re highly unhelpful saying they had no authority to help and to use ba.com for customer service issues and outrageous checked bag fees €75. Never again BA."
Nadelen: "1 hour flight took 3 hours because they sat on the ground counting baggage...twice.nothing"
Voordelen: "Nothing, nothing. At all."
Nadelen: "After hours at the gate, the flight was finally deemed cancelled. I missed my layover and was forced to stay over night at a airport hotel. I had paid a change fee to come home specifically for that day which I lost, not to mention 9 hours in the airport... the flights for the following day were totally downgraded from my original booking. Was so upset I could have cried...."
Nadelen: "We where not able to take the fligth's due to a passport issue, according to Netherlands rules my passport should be valid 90 days before entering the country and my expired July 29, 2018, when i booked no one advised me of such rules. I'm trying to contact Brittish Airways to see if I can be refunded."

Nadelen: "The tickets arrived at 9.50 am for 10.55 take off. I tried to cHe Kin in line but it didn’t let me. I went to the counter and they told me check in had closed and I would have to buy another ticket. It was my fault for buying a ticket. Goodbye £200. Thanks BA"

Nadelen: "Upon arriving at the check in desk we were told that a member of our party had been removed from the flight. While trying to work out a solution with the attendants they were incredibly unhelpful, knew very little about the situation, and at times mocked us. Lisa at the AMS location was particularly rude to the members of our party."
Nadelen: "The flight got delayed 1:30 hours, because they had to change planes in London and we were wating in Amsterdam. We didn't aboard fast since there was no space for the hand luggage so they had to send the luggage to the belly of the plane at tha last minute. Definetly the worst fligth ever!!!"
Voordelen: "I love it the most that they are so helpful with excess baggage Which is why I always book with BA I am an entertainer working for many different cruise lines BA does not rob you blind if you have extra baggage Or your bags are slightly heavier ! Delta recently charged me $ 285 per extra bag Coming back BA charged me $90 and allowed me two bags The new policy on many airlines to literally rob a customer Is disgusting and the govt authorities should put a stop To it BA is welcoming and always professional !"
Nadelen: "Airline food is often risky to eat and The variety is poor especially if you are vegan"
Nadelen: "The boarding process could be better"
Nadelen: "The ground crew at check-in was not friendly nor helpful."
Nadelen: "The male crew in the bag is not try to help people put on the carry on language to the top of cabin. He stood there and look at us. When I directed to him and asked for help, he just stood there for few sec. and decieded to help me but with an attitude. Same as the other lady need their help to put the backpack in, both male crests stood there and wasn't planning to help, and the passenger stood up and assisted her."
Voordelen: "The crew was very sweet. The flight was super short so it was comfortable enough for the short flight."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed by an hour and a half. I had a 40 min delay with Alaska airlines 2 weeks ago and the min I arrived at my destination I had a text apologising for the delay. Along with a link to $100 credit with the airline. This is what real customer service is about. Not just empty apologies."
Nadelen: "At airport had line for baggage drop if had boarding passes. But, then only had one station open out of four or five. One person had problem I guess. Line didn't move for 10-15 minutes. VERY BAD!!"
Nadelen: "Leg room/space BA offers is calculated for short and small body frame passengers and it is on not acceptable. It feels like cattle Wagon. BA should show consideration for real passengers not some sort of statistical average. I am 6'4" and sitting in your plane's cabin inflicts hours of body pain. The space given is sufficient for children and teenagers. Also sitting in the hot cabin for extended amount of time is extremely uncomfortable. Why there is no cooling and proper air ventilation right from the beginning?"
Voordelen: "Boarding smooth enough, seats comfy enough"
Nadelen: "Checked bags line insanely long, gate MILES away from security checkpoint, no food or entertainment (why low rating, n/a), could always use more legroom, paid more for bags than for flight and taking bags was a huge hassle and worry"

Nadelen: "Club Europe...business class? Seat pitch is a let down. Only benefit is an empty middle seat"
Voordelen: "It was a short trip and the crew was good about making it as quick as possible (for boarding, debriefing, etc)."

Voordelen: "I didn't pay to reserve a seat ahead of time, and was a little apprehensive. I checked in about 23 hours before the flight and was assigned an aisle seat with no problems."
Nadelen: "Once we boarded the plane, we spent about a half hour on the ground before take off. This isn't reassuring when you have a connecting flight."

Nadelen: "Both legs delayed, almost missed connection due to delay and the crew on the flight didn't seem to care. When we asked if they could inform the next flight that our flight wasn't delayed, the stewards response was "our planes don't wait for anyone". Real friendly. Wish Southwest flew to Europe!!!!"
Voordelen: "Impressive airplane at first sight when boarding."
Nadelen: "Blankets were a little bit dirty. Screen was very small compared to other air crafts. Food was... British. So it was OK. Crew could have been better."
Nadelen: "Weinig te eten weinig te drinken voor zo'n lange vlucht. Geen geluid op entertainment"
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed 45 mins, but when I'm 2 mins late to check in the cancelled my boarding pass. Ridiculous customer service wanted to charge me $400 to change my flight!!! Never again"
Nadelen: "we're professional musicians who fly all the time with fragile equipment. the airline applied an overweight baggage fee (fair enough, normally) but their payment system was down. rather than waive the fee, we were made to wait an hour to pay 150 euros. after scrambling through security we narrowly missed our flight. rebooking took hours and involved going back through security all over again, having our equipment searched for the second time. when it came time to gate-check our guitars, the airline lost them. we wound up boarding our connection to JFK with no idea where they were. finally they turned up on the baggage belt. we would never and have never agreed to send these delicate items through general baggage. One guitar (50 year old gintage guitar) was broken in the process and another of our hard cases was damaged and needs to be replaced. Completely unacceptable from start to finish."

Nadelen: "The replacement plane was very old. The entertainment screen was actually smaller than my phone, with just 4 low definition movie selections that started at preset times. My phone had 45 HD movies that started whenever I wanted them to. Toilets were dirty and in poor condition."

Nadelen: "Each leg of the trip was delayed by so much that I missed each following connection. Got to Prague and found out my luggage had been lost. After filing a claim about 8:30 pm on the 19th, I had to take a taxi into town because my hotel car had been taken out of service for the night. Rotten trip to Prague."
Nadelen: "The flight from AMA to Dfw was cancelled . I was told in March , yet no one told us . We had to book that trip ourselves & pay for it out of pocket , even though it was supposed to be part of this flight . We called the airline trying to rebook that flight & was told they couldn't till the next day , yet we could go online & book it ourselves . Pretty poor way to run a business . If we hadn't gone online to check in the night before , we wouldn't have known about the cancellation till we showed up at the airport . Very disappointed with your service"

My flight was also delayed and I could not make my connection..I understand delays happen but I don't understand why there was such little time between my first flight and my connection...seems silly. Luckily I was put on the next flight which I am very appreciative of."

Nadelen: "The lavatory sink was clogged. The audio to movies was inaudible, as though the picture was streaming and the audio was lost. The crew offered little assistance to a clearly frail elderly passenger who had a very difficult time rising from her seat and using the lavatory."

Nadelen: "Flight delayed 2 1/2 hours, plane A/C not working. Waited for another plane. They tried to fix the first plane but they just delayed getting another plane."
Voordelen: "The flight attendants were vey kind, and the landing was very smooth. It was an excellent flight."
Voordelen: "The crew was nice, accommodate well. Sit lean back okay, good convenience of charging mobile device. Food was okay. Entertainment good choices."
Nadelen: "Where do I start? Baggage check in is horrible and long. Wait in line for 1 hr with all counter open. Process just too long and too slow. Unclear of instruction for paying extra baggage. Security at gate taking too long to get through. Seat is too small, a larger person took almost 1/3 of my seat for the duration of flight and he wasn't that big. No noise control in aircraft, couldn't sleep at all (9hrs flight), kids and adult taking, playing like there home. The cabin smell very very unpleasant, due to body odor of passengers. Only 4 restroom for whole economy class, but 6 restrooms for 40 passengers of business class Due to the region of the air liner at, majority of passengers were rude, obnoxious, loud, and really really smell."

Nadelen: "The crew and gate check-in assistance is mediocre. Their attitude is one of indifference. This group is probably just a little better Spirit Airlines, which I consider the worst airline I have ever flown on. Also, I had to pay exorbitant flight change fees. These flight changes should be free. If I have the option, I will not use Air Canada in the future."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for a long time, after so many frequent changes. The airline did not even give an excuse or explanation for the changes and the delay."
Nadelen: "flight was booked as Lufthansa, but Lufthansa would not allow seat selection and air Canada would not recognize Lufthansa booking code, so we were stuck in middle seats for 8 hr & 5 hr flights on third section we in in very back of plane even though there were better seats available"
Voordelen: "Crew was very nice and efficient in serving and helping you. The entertainment was nice, you could watch a movie or different TV shows if you wanted."
Nadelen: "The drink was a little small and they don't leave the can with you anymore, only the plastic cup drink is served in."
Voordelen: "The gate agent was in a really good mood, and I made her laugh, so she bumped me into business class. The flight crew was awesome."

The entire flight was spent listening to them prepare meals, discuss their trip itinerary, shifts and how Air Canada treats them, as employees, so poorly. The crew were very short with most passengers and it seemed over staffed."

Voordelen: "Pros: The onboard crew was nice. The entertainment was good (nice selection of television and movies) There is an entertainment touch screen for each individual."
Nadelen: "Cons: They moved the gate THREE times! We had to walk all over the airport because they were so unorganized. The seats were VERY uncomfortable. It was difficult to sit for even a few hours. There are no snacks unless you pay. The entertainment touch screen is of poor quality."

Nadelen: "The policy of having to check-in in order to have a seat is ridiculous and borderline racketeering. If one pays for a flight, they should get the ticket they paid for. It should not be based on whether they check-in because Air Canada wants to make more money on selling their seat because they didn't check-in. This is unacceptable. Since it's a company policy, my wife and I would enforce our own policy in response: we will choose not to fly Air Canada again."
