Voordelen: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."

Voordelen: "The presence and attitude of the flight attendants were highly pleasant and accommodating. The entire flight was very comfortable and made the 9 hour journey from Manchester to Houston Texas fast and enjoyable. The flight attendants always had a wonderful smile which felt genuine many a time and always made an effort to speak at the level of the passenger. When I had trouble connecting to the Wifi, one attendant even knelt down and connected my phone manually as I was not tech savvy in this regard. The food was of much higher quality as well compared to other airlines I traveled with on this trip."
Nadelen: "Really the only issue was there was a 2 hour delay on departure, however this was due to issues out of control of the airline and I did not mind as the airline's ambience and my experience with it overshadowed any delays."

Nadelen: "The first flight from KTM the TV didn't work and I didn't fit into the seat. The most uncomfortable seat in a long time. The second flight from Doh to JFK was not good. I was put through 3 security checks when I already went through security in KTM. On the 3rd check my Dutyfree whiskey was taken from me because they would not let me take it in my carry on. They said I could take it if I checked my carry on bag (one backpack). My carry on has everything I need for a 16 hour flight. Plus, I had my very expensive camera gear in there too so I could not do this. This was unfair and Qatar needs to step up and return my Dutyfree whiskey and reimburse for the flight without TV. I will never suggest Qatar to anyone."

Nadelen: "The flight was not overly crowded and many of the passengers were seated with three people per set of seats while others were seated individually and able to spread out with much more comfort. I felt that when the flight crew saw this they could have made everyone much more comfortable by switching people to two people per row thus giving them more room especially on such a long flight."

Nadelen: "Was on flight QR 743 Doha to Boston. The pilot landed as if it was an afterthought In good weather, it sounded as if the pilot used the computer to land. The crew worked with great pains within a difficult situation. The flight was delayed by an hour, full flight had dirty lavatories without water from the get go! One of the middle lavatories could not lock! This plane should have been better serviced by ground crew before it departed Doha! Infotainment system is confusing, keep it simple and add more up to date movies. Even then, I will still fly QR over all else."

My bag arrived 5 days late. I had to buy clothes on a daily basis which ate up more time and fun money. The airline gave me nothing except empty promises and dismissive apologies."

Voordelen: "Food, crew, in flight services and entertainment were amazing. Definitely recommend this airline for trans-atlantic flights."
Nadelen: "I flew on the Boeing Dreamliner which is pretty loud. I recommend noise cancelling headphones or earplugs."

Also, I was asked to check in my bag because "the aircraft was full" however when I got on the plane I noticed it was half-empty and there would have been ample overhead room."

Nadelen: "3 4 3 seating results in very narrow isles ... during the longer flights on the 777 the isle seated passengers lean into the isles making going to and from the restrooms in ( coach) a bit of an obstacle course"

The food was very good and tasty which is a great challenge in overseas flights, the choices of drinks. We will definitely travel again on SWISS, this time for a visit to the Alps hiking trails"

Voordelen: "The flight itself was very enjoyable. The only negative aspect was that the first leg of the flight was delayed long enough that I almost missed my connecting flight and my baggage was lost."
Nadelen: "The real reason for the negative review is a combination of the cost of this flight, loss of my baggage and poor service after the flight. I paid nearly $4,500 for an economy ticket from New York to New Delhi. The first leg of the flight, from New York to Zurich was delayed long enough that I made my connecting flight to Delhi within seconds of them closing the gate and as a result my baggage was lost. Once I got to Delhi I had to take a connecting flight to Goa and then drive an hour to my destination, where I was attending a good friend's wedding. All of my baggage was lost during transit by the airline, and unfortunately they never delivered by baggage to my hotel...so I was without formal clothes and normal clothes for the wedding for 4 days. The customer service line was no help, and the airline refused to deliver the baggage to me...the closest they would bring it was the Goa airport which was an hour and a half away."

Nadelen: "our flight attendant was impatient and bossy two days after the flight my husband had to be taken to the emergency room - diagnosed with pulmonary embolism SWISS MUST DO A WAY BETTER JOB CALLING ATTENTION TO REGULAR EXERCISE ON THE PLANE!!"

Nadelen: "Sound for on-screen entertainment not working. It was static-y all the time and completely cut out the rest of the time. I made various attempts to solve the problem, switching headphones, switching to my own headphones (which can't really be done because they have a two-prong jack and personal headphones are always one). I tried watching different movies, programs, music...it wasn't the material I was watching that was the problem. I asked the flight attendant to reset my console. That didn't work either. I just ended up reading my book the entire 9 hour trip."

Voordelen: "Crew was very helpful with getting me "something" to eat since I did not receive a "Vegan" meal as I had ordered when I bought the flight... The meal I originally was given was included milk and cheese ingredients and after explaining what vegan actually was they did their best to help my situation. My first flight with Swiss to Switzerland included the correct "vegan" meal do I can't understand how this mistake was made by Swiss on the return flight?"
Nadelen: "I did not receive a "vegan" meal as ordered originally and though they were very helpful they should all be better educated regarding the differences between "Vegan", Vegetsrian, Lacto-Ovo, etc... Since I was embarrassed as I had to keep rejecting the food they gave me until I educated them on the basics of what Vegan food is... They were very helpful throughout."

Voordelen: "Crew"
Nadelen: "Passengers crowding the lane"

Voordelen: "The crew was excellent. The food was pretty good and service was frequent even in economy."
Nadelen: "The seats are too close to each other. The couple in front of use reclined the entire flight and they were nearly in our laps. We could not get in and out of our seats to stretch. The flight attendant needed to ask them to sit up during meals so that we could eat."

Voordelen: "I like that this plane had more leg room then other airlines."

Voordelen: "Everything"

Voordelen: "Can't think of anything we didn't like. All the attendants were very nice, always smiling and helpful. It was great, will fly with Swiss again for sure."

Voordelen: "i got a free upgrade to Business Class... which was super awesome! everything about it was great! the regular Economy Class i had on the way there was perfectly good as well. but Business Class was just the best all around."
Nadelen: "the ridiculous checking-in / boarding process. seems like showing my passport like once or twice would work. it did on my way there. for some reason it was needed like 17,000 times with ridiculously understaffed lines needing to service several hundred people on the way back. absurd."

Voordelen: "Ok food and ok entertainment"
Nadelen: "Plane was very hot and there were no air conditioner valves so we had to sit in a hot plane for thirty minutes. Seats didn't recline at all so sleep was out of the question. Just a very miserable flight overall."

Voordelen: "That is wasn't crowded"
Nadelen: "That I had a 5 hour delay and I was t informed about it earlier"

Voordelen: "Food was overall not bad. It would have been nice to have more snack options if I was hungry in between meals."
Nadelen: "Landed early but there was no gate so we just sat on the runway. We also sat on the runway long past when we were supposed to arrive. I'm not sure why there still was no gate when we passed the time that we were supposed to arrive. There were also no power outlets in the plane. For such a long flight, it would be great to have power outlets to charge devices while flying. Flight was also kept very cold. Not very good entertainment options."

Nadelen: "announcements in Turkish is interrupted your screen in front of every passenger and you have to listen to it even if you have no idea of what they taking about because it will block everything your are doing .. The solution is very easy as you can setup the screen to your language and the computer can choose to show you only the announcements that is in your language that make sense to you."

Nadelen: "There was no boarding announcement. I was given a boarding zone for no reason; boarding was a free for all. Our flight was delayed by almost an hour. We sat on the plane, by the gate, while the crew called the Istanbul Flight Control to figure out when our plane could arrive. This flight had been scheduled for weeks; I would think they could plan the arrival time to be the ACTUAL arrival time."

Nadelen: "Flight from Istanbul to Bangkok was delayed for 3.5 hours with no apology and no compensatory measures such as drinks and food or lounge access Power outlets in Istanbul airport are all round plug European with no USB terminals for phone recharging"

Nadelen: "Boarding was a bit chaotic"

Nadelen: "The Internet is complicated and not working all the time. Business class seats are dated need to be upgraded, comparing to other airlines."

This story is repeating with your airline at 29th July our Turkish Airlines flight from Sarajevo was late for 3hours so we were running at Ataturk Airport to catch connection flight to Istanbul even though we booked 4 hours delay in Istanbul. Regards, Edin"

Nadelen: "The fact that I missed my connection flight in Thailand because of a two hour delay. I was never informed why there was so much of a delay and in turn I had to pay triple of what I payed before for my flight. Very disappointed. Won't be flying this airline again. Service was rude. They should be more responsible when it comes to timing. We were on the flight waiting for two hours!!!"

Voordelen: "Great crew. Super nice to our 4 year old daughter. They were quick, extra polite and efficient. I'm usually quite picky but this leg was perfect."

Nadelen: "food could be a bit better. Scrambled eggs were too undercooked and the kofte was very dry."

If you go to a gate waiting area with no flight soon, you can stretch out and sleep. Good English-language bookstore."

Nadelen: "Long boarding time from Amsterdam to Istanbul. No explanation of delay and THY wants you to wait miserably on gate. On Schipol airport there is screens everywhere and they do not bother to update the status of boarding. Instead, they behave like everything is normal you are the person making the problem."

Nadelen: "I know seats in the 777-300 recline but do not disrupt the next row's space. That was not the case on the Airbus A330-300. It would be nice if the same seats were on the Airbus aircraft I flew from Istanbul to Bangkok."

Voordelen: "Nice goody bags and special treatment for the kids, and thoughtful that they brought kid-friendly headphones. All the comforts the airlines used to give for free are still there on Turkish, with no extra charges for food/checked bags, etc. Great food, they got our special vegetarian meals correct (as opposed to a big hassle on another airline). Very comfortable flight."

Nadelen: "Connecting flight did not have my luggage from previous flight."

That restaurant has poor choices of items to select from ,food quality was substandard ,the choices of the items was to limited, and the people in the restaurant was rude."

Nadelen: "screen not functioning should not serve meat or chicken with kosher meals this week through Tuesday, August 1. Period of mourning and kosher people don't eat meat or poultry during this period. Served fish on first leg from NY. That was good. sorry, this report is for return flight"

Once we got to the terminal, our luggage was delayed by another 30 min. No one met connecting passengers, no one explained the reasons for delay - poor experience."

Nadelen: "No choice on meals even though I was premium economy class. Many movies on list were not available to play."

Voordelen: "The flight was comfortable, or as comfortable as economy can be. I would say, it was as nice as Lufthansa, just with fewer drinks. We also got ice cream between meals."
Nadelen: "English is not the flight attendants strength. It was manageable though. The drinks came out before the food. That was a little strange and left my thirsty after my meals."

Voordelen: "Everything was ok"
Nadelen: "No real concerns"

Nadelen: "The flight was good overall, but the boarding crew in Moscow (that was after a transit) didn't let me take my guitars up on the airplane, different from what I agreed on at the first flight, where I paid 200 USD to take it with me on the plane. The flight attendant was very nice and agreed to help me and take it on the plane."

Voordelen: "It was a full flight and the boarding line was long but,flight left on time. Meals were small but tasty. Crew were friendly but not very experienced talking English, sometimes it was hard understanding what they were saying."
Nadelen: "Not much elbow room between seats which made it difficult eating. The beverage selection was very limited."

Voordelen: "The vegetarian meals were better on this flight than on the flight from NY"
Nadelen: "There were no personal screens for movies. The seats were close together."

Voordelen: "After flying with budget airlines and horrible airlines in America it was nice to fly with someone who was not trying to rob me with hidden fees and truck bookings. Getting served actual food was an icing on the cake."

Nadelen: "Food is bland and meal options not changed for at least 3 months. For a frequent traveller that is bad. Also same for entertainment. The entertainment should be update at least monthly. I have exhausted all the media choices."

Nadelen: "After boarding, we sat in the plane for an hour while the engines were off. Not necessarily the crew's fault."

Voordelen: "It was a great flight. Thank you!"
