The Doha airport is an architect's Ego Trip and badly laid out, extremely long walks to get anywhere, ferocious prices for anything (carry snacks for your layover!). The smoking lounge doesn't even have a proper exhaust system so smoke permeates the terminal in the vicinity. Plus 4 bar stools hogged by rude, arrogant young Arab men who have NO respect or consideration for elders, disabled, etc. Incident with boarding passenger in Saigon was VERY badly handled & delayed departure over an hour, risking connections for a number of passengers. They cannot handle things well, yet crew is basically nice, kind. Food is AWFUL; saving grace is fresh fruit, roll & butter, yoghurt - the nice little side dishes."

There was never an announcement, but we felt it was getting late so we went to check at the desk and they then said we were late and they were waiting on us. They were very nice about everything, but just thought that was really strange."

Also, I was asked to check in my bag because "the aircraft was full" however when I got on the plane I noticed it was half-empty and there would have been ample overhead room."

Gate was at the end of the empty terminal. Wifi pass expired and no artery was offered even though the flight was delayed. Passengers were made to leave the gate to recheck passports. My bags were searched twice and while I fully support security this was excessive"

Nadelen: "There was no boarding announcement. I was given a boarding zone for no reason; boarding was a free for all. Our flight was delayed by almost an hour. We sat on the plane, by the gate, while the crew called the Istanbul Flight Control to figure out when our plane could arrive. This flight had been scheduled for weeks; I would think they could plan the arrival time to be the ACTUAL arrival time."

Nadelen: "Our flight from Kathmandu was delayed so we missed our connecting flight to Vienna. We don't know why it took so long to organize the hotel. Turkish Airlines was ready with new boarding passes but we waited two hours at the hotel desk to get a bus to the hotel where we again had to wait till they gave each passenger a room. If they organized the boarding passes ahead of time, why not the hotel? So we were quite exhausted. The plane was again delayed leaving Istanbul. Movies on flight not what they used to be."

Voordelen: "The check in process was good. The agent was very helpful and pleasant. The food was actually just as good as the Delta flight from Minneapolis to Amsterdam."

Nadelen: "First and foremost we were astonished and angered that the cabin crew would not allow any window shades to be open during the day- long flight. That is unhealthy and exacerbates the jet lag phenomena. An airplane is not a hotel and you have eye masks and such readily available for people sleeping. Oh, and I also like to look out the window! For this reason I am looking for another airline to fly for our semi annual trips overseas."

Nadelen: "Long boarding time from Amsterdam to Istanbul. No explanation of delay and THY wants you to wait miserably on gate. On Schipol airport there is screens everywhere and they do not bother to update the status of boarding. Instead, they behave like everything is normal you are the person making the problem."

Nadelen: "Tbilisi-Barcelona flight was okay but 5 days earlier I took the same flight from Barcelona to Tbilisi where they changed my flight time and nobody let me know!! I didn't receive any information about it and so I had to spend 6 hours at the Barcelona airport!"

Voordelen: "Turkish was the only airline I've flown that actually did not give the impression of nickle and diming but really made clear and concerted and well executed efforts to exceed expectations on all fronts, even food and drink. A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."
Nadelen: "Only issue was that the videos kept freezing up, though they did remedy that problem. And I wish they had a foreign hub further to the west. Much as I loved the airline, I would only fly them again to Turkey or further east. It took me 22 hours door to door from Venice to Portland, Maine, when it shouldn't have been much more than half that. It's just too Far East to be a very practical option for visiting Western Europe from the US."

Nadelen: "I wanted to upgrade called Kayak that out me through to VAYAMA that then called Turkish airlines. Took hours in the phone (international call) they then told me I can't upgrade (payed upgrade) because the business is FULL, guess what??? Business was EMPTY"

Legroom wasn't particularly great either for such a long flight - my knees were at the front seat immediately, and I'm not particularly tall (under 6 foot)."

Nadelen: "Boarding was a mess, very crowded flight- no roommate luggage, and the plane was very hot inside."

The inflight entertainment system didn't work so no movies, music, or anything to make the time go by. Normally I would bring something but the inflight entertainment was so good on the flight from JFK to SVO that it didn't occur to me to bring anything. That was a brutally long flight. Other than that snafu, I love Aeroflot."

Nadelen: "I am pregnant and need to use a bathroom quite often so I bought prem economy class for a longer flight both ways. The SVO to JFK plane for some reason had two closest bathrooms clogged so we had to go to economy cabin to use bathroom multiple times."

Voordelen: "The flight was fine. The crew on the plane was fine, but wasn't nice, did their jobs. The entertainment plan was good. The food was okay. The boarding/baggage drop procedure is well organized and they have reasonable pricing on excess luggage."
Nadelen: "Customer service. My baggage was damaged and I reported it first thing when I came off the flight. But Aeroflot's Baggage Damage department was unreachable by phone the entire day after my flight, when I was still in Moscow (it was a connection). When I contacted them, 3 weeks later (by the instruction of their Lost and Found personnel) on the way back from Tokyo, they said it was too late to process my claim. Apparantly I had to contact them (an unreachable department) up to 7 days from the flight. Now they still won't compensate me in any way. The plane crew just do their jobs but they are not even trying to be nice. On 3 of our 4 flights there was not enough room for my legs. the audio on the entertainment plan was bad and their headphones (you must use) are also horrible. I will never fly Aeroflot again."

Voordelen: "This crew was wonderful! They were friendly and smiled and made sure everyone was comfortable. They were also extremely helpful with baggage and the like."

Nadelen: "This was one of those unfortunate flights that had babies, toddlers and a couple of dogs. Being a mother who has flown before i can understand, however this was one of those flights that you want to forget. One dog was scared and barked for a good 1/2 hour, which was in turn mimicked by the toddlers. So we had a dog barking and 2 or 3 toddlers joining in. Perhaps if the flight crew had stopped the 3 children running up and down the aisles, swinging on the arms of chairs I would not have had to return one child to his sleeping parent myself. I only did that when he tried to get on my seat, while i was sitting on it to play with my sons electronics. I felt for the two mothers with crying babies - but i guess with this combination and no support from the flight crew i felt more sorry for myself!"

As the plane if full of passengers, I had to spend 11 hours with no blanket. No one took care of this issue for the whole journey. Other aspects are good though."

Nadelen: "I was denied checking in a the counter. I bought the ticket with a friends credit card and they needed to have the actual card to swipe and then only they get access to my booking. It is company policy but it is not stated when you are making the purchase the airlines website. It says so on the bottom of the ticket on the page long rules in small print. And in all honesty who reads all of that these days. The ground crew were nice enough to take me to the airlines office at the airport and figure out a solution. It took an hour and a half to sort it out and get a verification from headquarters office in Srilanka."

Nadelen: "The service specifically the transfer service. They weren’t helpful at all. I’m so turned off how the staff treated me. It is also not clear that I need to book a hotel thru the airline during my 13 hours transit. I was thrown back & forth like a ball. No help was done. How come an airline imposed such rule?! Worse part during flight I feel cold & asked for a blanket. We reached destination No blanket ever!! Not recommended. First & last!!!"

Nadelen: "Unfortunately the it was a bumpy ride as most of the time the seat belt sign was on and crew had to discontinue services for a while. This was beyond airlines control. The crew did not distribute the Sri lankan landing cards onboard. This caused some confusions for first time travellers as they had to cone off the immigration queue and went to pick the card up and to complete. Some foreigners were unhappy about it."

Voordelen: "The cabin crew were friendly and attentive, I was quite impressed with the food, and they served a good white wine. I was happy to find an excellent choice of movies, tv shows and music with a simple, intuitive system for playing them."
Nadelen: "There were problems in the bathroom. All the paper towels were in a heap on the floor, and the sink was blocked. I told the stewardess, and she just shrugged. Obviously there are no bathroom checks on Srilankan Airlines and I don’t think that’s good enough."

Nadelen: "There was no uniform procedure in the flights, crew is too lazy to perform their duties. probably the first and last flying with Sri Lankan."

Nadelen: "1.we seated at UL 604 / 52K video was not updated , one one movie was displayed. 2. Crew was asking options i food ( non veg ) but they ere delivering what they had , question is why they asked option when they don't have option of serving. 3. Crew was pathetic. They discriminate with respect to whites and Indian's. Its really bad."

My travel was of 10 hours and after 3 hours of departure I started having pain in my back...seat was poorly structured. . Its like cushion of seats were dead n on top of it that cushion behind back was too outside.. I was not able to sleep at all as was not comfortable.. Also there was no system at Srilankan airport.. No barriers for travelers so that people stand in cue but no one was following lines as there were none.. Will never fly with Srilankan airlines again ever.."

Voordelen: "Srilankan Airlines's food was one of the best I've had. I've flown on over 50 airlines and was happy to see that the food was not processed junk as you find in most airlines. The ingredients seemed fresh. The crew were awesome: polite, kind, and considerate. They were eager to accommodate passengers' requests. The jets were new and clean. The entertainment system was touch-screen."
Nadelen: "The passengers were loud and ill-mannered. They gave the crew a tough time. These complaints, of course, is not a reflection of the airline."

Voordelen: "Colombo to Male & vice versa by Sri Lankan airlines has been very disappointing to be polite with regard to disgusting food served by them in small cardboard box with no choices whatsoever unlike a standard career nor what they practiced in the past by serving real food chics, not even a cup of tea or copy. Disgracely shocking practice by a national career & not by any means budget airline. Previously Mihiri Air served even better choice of food & drink at moderate prices but price of ticket was at least 50% cheaper. SL Govt with SLA With no regard for passenger comfort nor giving them a reasonabl deal on his sector should be condemned & boycotted. As a regular traveler I will look at Emirates as a better airlines despite with a different time slots still would be cheaper & value FO money. Wake up Sri Lankan Airlines from your slumber"

Nadelen: "I had excess luggage and I knew I had to pay for it, I was fine with the fee they quoted. I gave them my American Express card and they did not have the facility to charge that card, how do they not have the ability to use s major credit card at the Bangalore international airport??????? They gave me such a hard time I thought they were going to kick me off the plane just because they had short coming. I had no problem paying the quated amount, since they had the short coming they were blaming me. After a lot discussion/arguments I was able to find a Visa card on me and pay for the excess luggage, but its your short coming and not mine as I had no problem paying the fees yet I was treated badly. What if I did not have a Visa card then would I have been kicked out the plane for something the bangalore international airport have problems. No one should be blamed for issues you have. I had no problem paying to fees... you had the problem that you could not use a major credit card, when there are small markets on the street that can use the American Express card. You should be able to charge people American Express card this is a large international airport with loads of expats living and traveling in and out of Bangalore I hope you look into this instead of just asking for feedback and not doing anything about it.
