However, you will not go hungry because they make sure that you stay and hydrated on their flights. I do dislike all the dogs that are allowed in planes. Now flights have babies crying coupled with dogs barking. Takes away from the overall ambiance that Qatar tries so hard to achieve."

The specific person assigned never recommended or gave any information about the amenities available rather was waiting to be asked uneasily and was not polite at all. Voordelen: "Comfort level was below expected for Emirates today, because the flight was very packed. I didn’t get the ability to choose or change my seat while checking in online and checking in at the counter and was not able to change out of a middle seat. We also took off 1hr + after the original departure time."
Nadelen: "Not sure why I wasn’t able to change my seat during check-in, this is usually standard. Other than that, the flight was fine."

Voordelen: "Expenting better from the Airline and Airport. Airpor has only 2 lounges at other terminals for passengers flying either Delta or United, Not for Emirstes and no Priority Pass. The service was not as expected, took me more than 25 min to get a flight attendant to reach my seat to request a glass of water... when I went to the back of the plane to get water I was told to get back to my sest since seatbelt sign was on (it happend to be turned on for 12 hrs over a 14hr flight... Other than that service is better, than modt of US airlines. I flight frequently and I have boarded Emirates before, economy and business, I feel that they do not deserve best airline qualification for economy, fir example KLM is much better."

Nadelen: "On an 18 hour flight I was offered 1/3 of a cup of water or liquid about 3-4 times. They even rationed ice cubes. I had to ring the assistance bell any every 1-2 hours in order to stay hydrated the meals Consisted of a reheated TV dinner and 5 plastic wrapped versions of bread or processeed foods (bread sticks, cracked, cheese stick) normal you just overlook this stuff but when it's 18 hour flight you need actual food and water or else you'll risk dehydration."

Nadelen: "Dubai - Cebu leg. They managed to lose my suitcase and my understanding is that was done since the flight was full. I would appreciate if they didn't leave my suitcase in Dubai."
Nadelen: "I was not allowed onto this flight (Dubai to Hong Kong) because my previous flight (London to Dubai) was a little late, but I made it to the gate before it was closed. My fellow passengers from my flight were also not allowed onto the plane, and while we were arguing (including being told that the plane was full) other passengers from an even later flight were allowed on board! Instead I had to wait many hours in the terminal (because apparently there were no hotel rooms available!?) to get a flight to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (!!!?) where I could get a Cathay flight to Hong Kong. This meant I arrived 14 hours later than scheduled. Absolutely abysmal service, with no sympathy and no responsibility from any employees."
Voordelen: "They randomly upgraded to business and it was by far the best long courier flight I've been on."
Nadelen: "I had given on line preference for Asian vegetarian food but was not served collection of booked luggage at cropusal at SFO ,was difficult for a senior citizen like me as there was commotion"

Voordelen: "The ground and on-board staff was courteous and efficient. The specious seating and clean men's room were added bonus."
Nadelen: "Coffee was ok, but could be better."
Voordelen: "The airline still runs like a well-oiled machine. Everything is efficient and staff are courteous. Flights are on time and reliable. DXB airport is easy to navigate. New on-board headphones design is an improvement."
Nadelen: "Cost saving cuts are evident around every corner. No more night mask, flight socks and toothbrush. No more hot lemon towel upon boarding (only towards end of flight). Food tray is smaller and more compact than before, turns Dinner into a game of Tetris (although, not a fun 'game'). Flights aboard A380 are much more comfortable than in Boeing 777."
Voordelen: "A380 is great, roomy even for coach. Food is great as always."
Nadelen: "While most flight attendants are decent, a few are just not that great...making loud noises at the attendants compartments and chatting around while flyers are all sleeping, kick around garbages which makes loud noises too. Also the TV screen is a little hard to pull up at the front role."
Voordelen: "Flight attendants very very helpful in fixing some kind of mechanical error with my overhead light. When it was stuck on and the remote didn't work, they figured out they could reboot the system and turn it off. I'm glad I had my own headlamp so I could read during the flight, but overhead permanently off was much better than permanently on! I'm very grateful for their persistence in finding a solution. The agents at the Seattle location were very helpful assisting with our baggage problem, caused by Emirates gate agents in Dubai"
Nadelen: "The worst part of this trip was the surprise demand at the gate in Dubai that we check our duty-free liquor in a bag at the gate. There was no warning, no packaging to help protect our purchase, and no recourse We arrived in Seattle to find a liqour soaked bag. The liquor, of course, was a special gift and something we cannot simply repurchase. Very disappointing experience, especially after hearing good reviews of Emirate Air's generally good baggage handling and policies. The agents in Seattle helped remedy this, but it is a big hassle nonetheless as we arrive home to be dealing with damaged personal electronics and finding receipts all while jetlagged and getting back to work. my overhead light broke on the flight! but the flight attendants were very helpful and found a way to turn it off so I could sleep."

Nadelen: "We requested wheelchair assistance for my grandmother (3 days before the flight), but at the departing airport, the person with the wheelchair left early and we had to walk her on to the plane. When we arrived at Hong Kong, there was no wheelchair on the bridge, and after disembarking and being told to wait, it took 30 minutes for them to bring one. The ground staff kept trying to convince us to just walk which seemed very unprofessional."

The meal choices were very good, I requested the LFML options and all were good except for the light evening snack at the end of our second flight which was somewhat lacking in flavours and variety."
Nadelen: "The seats in economy felt cramped on the Boeing 700-300ER, with not much room to recline. This impacted on ability to fully relax and rest on such a long journey. This improved on the Airbus 350 thankfully, which much more leg room."

Voordelen: "I paid $190 for extra legroom for an economy seat by an exit door, however the remote for the entertainment screen encroached an inch on the already VERY narrow seats - I'm six foot three and 215 pounds and both hips were in full pressing contact against the sides of the seat - TOO NARROW!"

Nadelen: "I checked in online, printed the boarding passes as I know japan probably isn’t ready for phone apps for checking in. When I went to the counter, despite being the one holding all the documents (and having organized the whole travel itinerary, the staff only spoke to my husband (Whi hadn’t a clue about the journey) in Japanese. They proceeded to check us in on their computer and insisted that we use their paperwork, not mine. What a farce. What a waste of paper and my time."

Nadelen: "Premium Economy waste of money , staff don’t clear rubbish away No room very disappointed won’t do it again"
Voordelen: "The service from start to finish was superb. The flight to Hong Kong had the on board attendants at full service the whole journey. Blankets and pillows were supplied as standard and plenty of complimentary food. There was a genuine sense that the on board attendants wanted you to be as comfortable as possible."
Nadelen: "I can't think of anything really. Perhaps the seats could have slightly more leg room but hey. What can you expect from economy."
Voordelen: "The crew was polite, caring and friendly towards passengers. I had a pleasant time during the long flight. The food options were good."
Nadelen: "Cup noodles were not really a good snack idea given the fact that we were sitting in a closed environment. The smell was too much for such a long flight..."

Crew were courteous and multilingual. Leg room felt a bit better than average for an international flight. Food was very tasty. The inflight entertainment selection and screen quality was excellent."
Nadelen: "They managed to run out of the Western breakfast option (which I did not want anyway, but many British tourists had to make do with yoghurt and fruit due to unfamiliarity with congee). The entertainment system is controlled by touchscreen only. An elegant solution that is simple to keep clean, but you get tired of holding your arm up at eye level."
Voordelen: "super comfortable seats, complete amenities (pillows, blankets, TV and a plug to charge your devices). flights are also on time and the food is great! I've been flying through budget airlines until now; although I flew economy with Cathay, the flight experience felt very premium."

Nadelen: "The premium economy cabin configuration - it was a full flight, I was seated at the right-hand side of the cabin, and the toilet is at the left, and it was not easy and having to step on people's feet to go to the tooilet."

Nadelen: "I prefer the newer planes which include USB ports for charging mobile devices. This one had a power socket instead, which was usable, but only when the tray table was down, which was mildly annoying. First world problem, really."

Nadelen: "The food was atrocious and this was business class. The toilet lights were so dimmed all the time you couldn't see what was going on. Last year we flew business class Cathay pacific from Hong Kong to Melbourne and loved it. This year we decided to fly from Melbourne to Dusseldorf and then from Frankfurt to Melbourne with this airline. Won't be doing that again. Why pay business class fares to be disapointed"

Nadelen: "Cathay Pacific forgot to send paperwork for departure which resulted in 1 hour delay and then given us furthest possible gate on arrival in HK"
Voordelen: "I really appreciated that Cathay flew another plane in to pick us up when our original aircraft was mechanically grounded at the previous destination. The crew were very professional."
Nadelen: "Our flight was delayed due to mechanical failure and didn't arrive from its destination: Taipei. We were not told about the possibility of our flight being cancelled as we arrived at check-in, we were allowed to check our bags first, issued boarding passes and *then* we were told to come back to check in counter in 3.5-4 hours. Our checked luggage had already been taken and with it, clean clothes, toiletries and other items that could have made the waiting more comfortable. After coffee and a snack we decided to check in to the capsule hotel at Narita. Minimum stay was one night at that hour of the day - for stays after 6pm. While I appreciated that Cathay got us out later that evening, the plane we flew was one of the oldest in the fleet: the seats did not recline at all so it was very uncomfortable. It was a late night flight but no one was offered pillows or blankets. (I did receive one upon request). We arrived in Hong Kong in the early hours of the next morning - 3 hours late - after the airport train had finished running so I paid for a taxi home which I normally would not need to do since I already had a train ticket. so my flight experience did cost me some extra money this trip."
Nadelen: "When we booked we asked for a child's meal and we advised of allergies. However I don't see why we would have to ask as we booked a child's seat and you have to provide the age which she is 4. When onboard from SYD/HKG and HKG/LONDON, NO meal was available for our child except for what everyone else was eating. She is anaphylaxis to shellfish, she was given shrimp!!!!! I am sure if she was given a child's meal she would not have got this. We were then told we have to advise the airline 12 hours before we fly that we want a child's meal. I am sorry but when travelling we should not have to do this and nor have we ever had to do it on any other airline. Poor poor poor!!!!"

Voordelen: "The entertainment offering is excellent and the flight schedule into Sapporo is ideal. The food was great and came out at the right times."
Nadelen: "Staff are not as friendly and knowledgable as other airlines I have flown in Asia."
Voordelen: "Cathay Pacific has the most attentive flight attendants of any airline on the planet. We had a tight connection in Hong Kong. They accommodated us, by having us move up to Business Class just before landing so that we could get off the plane first. We made our connection without any problem."
Voordelen: "Food was decent, staff was friendly and they wasted no time getting us in the air and off the plane"
Nadelen: "Not very good seats, no wifi, weak movie selection, the bottled water is like 2 ounces (on a 16 hr flight i had to drink 100 of them), we couldn't pick seats in advance."

Nadelen: "The seats were cramped, and hard to get out of when the person in front had their seat tilted back, it felt practically in your lap when you were seated."

Voordelen: "The food was the best I've had on any airline in recent times. On the first flight it was a croissant and a swiss chocolate, on the second flight it was a hot danish pastry."
Nadelen: "The first flight was late so I was worried I'd miss my connection (however connection was delayed too so I made it). Also, I was asked to check in my bag because "the aircraft was full" however when I got on the plane I noticed it was half-empty and there would have been ample overhead room."
Voordelen: "There was an abundance of drink carts and dining options, snacks. Thank you!"
Nadelen: "Some of these planes need improved entertainment systems. Half did not work."
Voordelen: "This was a 12 hour flight that didn’t feel like 12 hours. They movies and other entertainment was very good with new and older movies that didn’t disappoint. The food was great all the way through to the farewell piece of chocolate."
Nadelen: "The seats on this flight were very tight. I am 5’8 and felt super cramped. The seats themselves were not that bad just small and not a lot of space. If you fly with them don’t expect to kee anything under the seat with you. Also the whole boarding process is a big cluster! There is no real organization to the line or who they are boarding. Make sure you get in the line quickly or you could be waiting awhile."
Voordelen: "Short flight, no entertainment. They still offer free snacks on short flights, a plus, but it was an almost frozen cheese sandwich. A Little bag of pretzels would be better. The crew was very friendly."
Nadelen: "Boarding is confusing. Bad lines, unorganized, and people pushing. They should probably come up with a better system."

Nadelen: "Plane did not have a place to switch to the other aisle without disturbing passengers or crew! You need to move a tad bit on such a long flight!"
Nadelen: "Older plane with poor seat comfort. (Same trip Bos to Zurich much better.) Video did not work at all in one seat and poorly in other ,for 7 hr flight"
Nadelen: "Too hot. Too late. Staff could have been more accommodating. Online checkin was impossible."

Voordelen: "Just like everything else the Swiss do, our Swiss air flight was like a well oiled machine. Very friendly crew, very good meals, lots of creatures comforts; blankets, pillows, headphones, warm washcloths in the morning. Great overall experience."
Nadelen: "The seat room is every bit as tight as any other airline, so if you're tall, and flying an overnight, upgrading to a seat with leg room might be worth the extra cost. Select your roomy seat early - they go fast!"
Voordelen: "The fights themselves were nice, the crew was pleasant and the dinner itself was a very nice surprise"
Nadelen: "Wow what a cramped space- the minute the person leaned their seat back I had no room and I'm a fairly small pElson. The seat in front of me was almost literally in my lap I couldn't open my tray on their seat back unless they sat up to eat"

Nadelen: "Worst food ever, vegetarian so called wraps and breakfast. Bland eggs and rotten fruit salad. The fact that when I request a window seat and am told I have one then to find out I don't. Rather tell me that in the first place. This has happened numerous times with swiss. Remote for the entertainment didn't work and although crew said they would reset it they never did. A bit of a pain for a long haul flight of 8 hours...."
Voordelen: "I don't think I'd ever experienced such a friendly and empathetic crew."
Nadelen: "Security was a disaster in Amsterdam. Lines were long and they were checking everything - e.g. My bag had to be screened 2x because of my Kindle, which never happens. But the crew was Extremely accommodating and helpful."

Nadelen: "There was no indication of what line went where while in the boarding process. Nobody told us that we needed to get a blue stamp (??) on our boarding ticket, for what I still don't know. So then we needed to get in ANOTHER line and get the stamp and then stand in line AGAIN just to get on the plane! For being Swiss you'd think you'd have this part down AT LEAST! Boarding by seat number would have been a better idea. Everybody was all over the place getting their bags stored above."

Nadelen: "There was no boarding announcement. I was given a boarding zone for no reason; boarding was a free for all. Our flight was delayed by almost an hour. We sat on the plane, by the gate, while the crew called the Istanbul Flight Control to figure out when our plane could arrive. This flight had been scheduled for weeks; I would think they could plan the arrival time to be the ACTUAL arrival time."

To be 5 Star they need to keep up. The lounge (although large) could use better organizing. Too many people walking all around. Very limited space, if any, for a little quiet."

On Schipol airport there is screens everywhere and they do not bother to update the status of boarding. Instead, they behave like everything is normal you are the person making the problem."

That restaurant has poor choices of items to select from ,food quality was substandard ,the choices of the items was to limited, and the people in the restaurant was rude."
