Voordelen: "The Heathrow terminal, Amazing. Why does everyone in window seats keep all the window shades closed -- throughout the entire flight? It was daylight and beautiful outside. Are they all vampires? Why did my overhead light shine on the seat next to mine? Never mind... the flight was fine. Nothing to shout about, except for what I wrote in the next "What I didn't like" box...."
Nadelen: "I was assigned a window seat. I asked an agent if I could get an isle seat because I am a little claustrophobic. She said yes, and gave me 24D. Great, but I was annoyed and upset that she did not warn me that it was a front seat, with now place to put my personal bag. The wife of the guy next to me was 10 seats away, so I found an isle seat at the back of the aircraft and moved, so she could be with her husband. It all worked out okay, but the agent should have been more informative and have offered the option of that rear seat. It's not nice to be sneaky."
Nadelen: "flight was delayed and we never got any information by the pilots or crew to let us know that we were delayed and no information on the new arrival time. Almost lost my connection at LAX"
Nadelen: "3 canceled flights and lost luggage.... bad communication by employers and absolutely no help ... we were sent all over the airport several times to the wrong places and felt that no body cared in this process .... I would like compensation and something to make this right ... we also lost our upgraded seats I lpaid for and the vegan meals we ordered in advance"
Voordelen: "The flight crew was amazing. The entertainment system was great"
Nadelen: "Landed almost an hour late. Food was HORRIBLE. worst pasta of my life. The crew while kind, we busy chatting in the galley most of the flight. Never came around (besides the initial drink cart and the meal) to offer water or check on passengers. They forced me to close the window while we were flying and I bought a window seat so i could look out. The boarding process was very slow and disembarking took ages. Problems with loading the baggage led to an issue at baggage claim where they were stuck."
Voordelen: "We waited an hour to board with a wheelchair and were the last on and I had to push. Gate personnel were inattentive and dismissive."
Nadelen: "Food was pretty mediocre"
Voordelen: "Entertainment was adequate."
Nadelen: "The plane was freezing for 11 hours. Flight attendant said it would be adjusted but it never was. We were against a wall and seats did not recline. Very little room."

Nadelen: "I purchased a business class seat, fully paid six months in advance. There was a last minute change in the type of aircraft, I was downgraded to economy plus. BA never tried to contact me in advance or gilve me any other options. It was a nasty surprise but I had no other choice."
Voordelen: "We didn't crash."
Nadelen: "Flight attendants repeatedly increased the amount of alcohol given to drunk passengers while those passengers spilled food and drinks on me and could not keep their bodies out of my personal space."
Voordelen: "Flight left almost on time and arrived on time. Crew was friendly."
Nadelen: "Wasn't able to select a seat ahead of time like with other airlines. Seat rows way too tight (even for a normal 130 lb person like me). No good movie options, very limited selection. Food pretty bad, but that's almost expected this day and age."
Nadelen: "FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED IN THE LAST MINUTE, I WAS STRANDED IN LONDON AND HAD NO COMPENSATION"
Voordelen: "My luggage made it to LA"
Nadelen: "The food quality was poor and the service left a lot to be desired. I asked for some water and she told me she’d be back. I waited almost an hour, then called and no one came. When I called on the second time she came with a cup half full and seemed irritated. I didn’t even bother asking for more water. They didn’t let me check in early enough to request roomier seats, even if we’d have to pay more given that my husband has knee surgery and needed the extra room. When I was finally able to ask, they were fully booked."
Voordelen: "Very little."
Nadelen: "Awful (typically BA) configuration im Club World on a 787 - cramped, inadequate storage, just lacking essential comfort for a supposed premium class. Food: seriously, I've had better in student cafes. Just stop it BA - its like some kind of prison food. Entertainment: meh. Small selection of new release movies. Crew: with the exception of one - just one from a complement of 15 odd - of the crew, the rest were a surly, inhospitable miserable bunch. If you hate your job don't take it out on customers - especially in a service industry."
Voordelen: "Great crew!"
Nadelen: "Late catering delayed flight. Fix ground services."
Voordelen: "The chicken and cheese risotto meal was excellent. One of our flight attendants, Sharon, stood out from the others with her service and friendliness, however all crew was good. Airbus A380 was the smoothest flight I've ever been on."
Nadelen: "The pepperoni pizza wrap snack was not good."

Voordelen: "I loved the side compartment next to my seat in the upper deck of the airbus. This was an amazing airplane to fly in and I hope someday to afford the opportunity to experience First class. The cabin crew was very attentive and our attendant, in particular, was helpful. He made sure that we had our special meal and the whole staff was very attentive."
Nadelen: "I added a quick trip to Austria while I was in Europe and timed it so I would fly back to London and then back to LA on the same day. London had a huge wind storm on 10/21 so my flight from Austria landed 1 hour late, with that I missed my London-LAX flight on BA (that I purchased via Kayak). The BA agents tried to help me but were not able to use my Kayak ticket to re-book me or at least recover some of my investment. There was no phone number provided on my reservation and after an hour of trying to help me, they said I have to buy a brand new ticket. The cost for my return and my seat reservation both were lost and my new ticket was $1,600 (and I had to spend the night in a hotel at Heathrow as at that point all US flights left for the day). I usually book directly with the airlines because I want to avoid situations like this, so it is too bad that the one time I come to Kayak I end up having to buy a new ticket that was twice as expensive as the original one. Nadelen: "I didn't like the no wifi on the planes and that you couldn't upgrade at the gate like you can with many other airlines."

Nadelen: "Part was a code share with AA. When BA transfered the data to AA, they lost the seat assignments which I found out about at the last minute and ended up spending almost $400 to get acceptable seats. Could not get boarding passes at our origin in Rome and had to wait in line at LHR. Boarding seemed very disorganized."
Nadelen: "Staff where very rude. I asked if me and my partner could move as the person in front had there seat back therefore my knees got damaged and grazed they simply said we can't move you and left I asked a number of times I was ignored"
Voordelen: "Excellent service and the crew was very friendly"
Voordelen: "In flight entertainment, food and everyone was great!"
Nadelen: "No issues"
Voordelen: "Staff was exceptional."
Nadelen: "First a large number of the flight was flagged for special screening which meant that they had to do additional procedures and were very understaffed as many of us talking near 100 people had to stay behind and wait for over an hour as three employees screened us in detail. This while the rest of the plane was already boarded. Thus the flight left late and arrived very late to LAX. Secondly the refrigeration on board for food was broken thus spoilong the food so we only received one meal on an 11 hour flight which we were starving and not what we paid for during this flight. They did offer snacks but when not having a full meal as paid for it is a huge let down. Thirdly why is Wi-Fi not offered on this flight. Due to the late departure and late arrival we missed my connection to TUS and was not able to make calls or email during the flight. Not acceptable. Very unhappy and will never be flying with British Airways again. I WILL ALSO NEVER LET FRIENDS AND FAMILY FLY WITH THEM. An airline as prestigious as BA needs to work better at ensuring the minimum on offering wait we the customer pays for and this did not happen. Staff was amazing and very friendly but we were very dejected and felt that your brand suffered a lot with this experience. I do hope to hear from airline about this incident as my wife and I travel constantly."
Nadelen: "The crew was rude and almost didn't seem like they wanted to be there especially this one person called Byron."
Nadelen: "Please fix the boarding process."
Voordelen: "Arrived 30 minutes late after problem at gate with the Jetway not retracting. Ground staff were pleasant. In-flight staff were friendly and helpful. Food was okay."
Nadelen: "Having to pay to select your seats is bargain carrier behavior. My family of four had to pay nearly $400 extra to select our seats in advance instead of having them assigned to selecting them the day of the flight. Seats were cramped and not too comfortable. I flew Air France on a previous trip to Europe and it was much more comfortable seating. The in-flight entertainment system kept freezing up and had to be reset multiple times. The touch screen (which is the method of navigation through the system) did not work. On a 5 hour flight that would be an inconvenience - on an 11 hour flight it is a bit more of a problem."

Nadelen: "Baggage did not arrive as was not put on flight at San Jose despite checking it in 2.5 hours before flight"
Voordelen: "Decent leg room, crew and entertainment."
Nadelen: "Upon landing late in London from Rome there was no one to bring the walkway to the plane so had to wait on the plane when we were already behind schedule on a tight connection. THEN having to go through second security check in London when changing planes and security in terminal C was closed so had to transfer to terminal B for security and back to C to catch flight barely making it! Luggage did not make connection. Promised it will be delivered today."
Voordelen: "Flight crew is the most helpful and genuine I've experienced of all carriers. I've had bad experiences with Lufthansa, United, American, and Delta. Everything we asked of BA was taken care of quickly and they truly seemed to care more. They are especially attentive to children. The A320 storage space overhead is huge and seemed to have room to spare with a fully booked flight."
Nadelen: "Seats are so uncomfortable for people 6 foot tall and above. Why can't they make a seat that adjusts for taller people."
Voordelen: "Regardless of many flights, this was my first experience with BA on transatlantic flights. And I was pleasantly surprised. Very well mannered crew, politeness, help, all... Food was great as well. Overall great first impression and definitely will fly again with BA."
Nadelen: "In general, it was ok, can't complain."
Voordelen: "Connection desk and gate attendance were the only people who tried to help fix the mistakes made by the people in madrid. Global access allowed to quicken our time spent going home after the mets that was our flight home."
Nadelen: "the attendant at the connection desk did not understand why we had not been given boarding passes or allowed to check in to our flights in madrid. the gate attendants did not understand that even though we were numbers 72 and 73 person processed we were not allowed to check in, receive boarding passes or allowed to sit next to my sister who's reservation was connected to mine"
Nadelen: "That the flight was delayed and we had to run to make our connection. The flight attendant reassured us that we were making up the lost time in the air and there was going to be no issues."
Voordelen: "Entertainment selection."
Nadelen: "The air was stale. No circulation. It made me sick."

Nadelen: "On an 11 + hour flight it's extremely difficult if not impossible to get any sleep when you can barely move your seat back. Try removing some seats ...yes, I know impossible"

Nadelen: "the seats are horrible! I expected more comfort on an airbus. there was less room on the international flight than on domestic flights on other carriers!"
