Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Uitermate vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Tijdens de vlucht was er zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam cabinepersoneel beschikbaar."

Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."

Nadelen: "The fact that there are different airline carriers for one flight is hard. In my second flight they made me check a bag which was considered a carry on during my first flight"

Nadelen: "Late leaving, when boarding in CPH had to wait in extremely hot area once past the desk where our boarding passes were scanned and then the area where we had to queue just prior to boarding the plane was glass and therefore extremely hot. The worst issue was that there was one family with extremely loud children with the parents doing nothing. I saw a steward way up the plane looking down at them at one stage while serving another passenger but she did nothing. I like children but this was constant with the father actually encouraging the children to make more noise once he realised that other passengers were annoyed. There were plenty of other children on the plane who were behaving. Although SAS staff were aware of this they did nothing to ensure the comfort of the other passengers. One friend of mine stood for about 40 minutes at the back of the plane and another for about 20 minutes to get away from this constant noise as it was so loud and persistent. I had to listen to music to block it out.SAS staff should have intervened because this was very loud and as I have said constant i.e. every few seconds for most of the flight."

Nadelen: "Seats are too small and dont recline for an 8 hour flight. You feel like an animal in a cage. No choice for dinner and no snacks between dinner and breakfast."

Food weird. Salmon in a box with no bread or rice or anything and a strange savory muffin. Ate neither. No entertainment."

Nadelen: "I ordered vegetarian from their transfer office at the Copenhagen airport. Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"

Nadelen: "Not enough characters to express my disappointment."

Nadelen: "Expensive checked baggage. More than 2 hours delayed."

Nadelen: "Service was poor and seats were uncomfortable. There were only 4 flight attendants for the entire flight. It took over an hour for our food to be served after we received our drinks. The food was not good at all. The movie options were not the best either. Also, it was so hot during the entire flight especially once we landed and taxied for 30 minutes. I flew SAS to Europe and really enjoyed my flight but this experience makes me never want to fly SAS again!"

Voordelen: "Not much to say on a positive note, I want to avoid this airline if I can."
Nadelen: "Three and a half hour flight and all they offer free is coffee and soft drinks! The economy seats are small and the flight attendants are indifferent, until it's time to promote their duty free products. Find an airline with better customer service."

Nadelen: "I order through Kayak, which took me to priceline...Got my ticket and thought everything was fine...Until I got to the airport, apparently I got a SAS lite ticket and they charged me to check 3 bags 210 Euros...Unreal. I think its pricelines fault because they did not even offer bagage as an option..."

Nadelen: "Tried THREE hours to get a phone picked up to cancel my flight the day before this scheduled flight. My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."

Nadelen: "Planes are old. No conveniences at all - none. Charged for one piece of luggage (my only piece) at the gate. Security process extremely slow. 1.5 hours early to airport and I made it on board by 9 mins. There plane sat for 20 mins on runway before departing."

Nadelen: "We paid $90 per checked bag. When we purchased our tickets we were never given an option to purchase luggage ahead of time, we were under the impression that luggage was included."

Nadelen: "Unexpected 70 euro baggage fee that I had no way to add online."

Nadelen: "My 1st experience on SAS & everything was late: takeoff over an hour late, and upon arrival in CPH we were delayed again to exit the plane because they couldn't get the skyway door attached to the plane."

Voordelen: "I had a row to myself because I was a 1st class ticket holder but they didn't actually have 1st class seating."
Nadelen: "Smaller than average seat size."

Nadelen: "Even though it was clear from my reservation that checked baggage was not included in the initial price, there were no clear links in kayak/vayama or SAS to prepay baggage, and the price is double if you pay at the airport."

Nadelen: "Bag drop line was over 45 min. Only 2 attendants. Flight was late taking off. Baggage fee was outrageous. Site said 1 free bag, but that is carry on only. Checked bag was €70!!!! The flight was only $85."

Voordelen: "Friendly crew"
Nadelen: "Zero leg room, no overhead compartment space. Pinned to the wall in my window seat by an over weight Swedish man sitting beside me. Horrible flight !!!"

Nadelen: "Flight was cancelled upon check in without any prior notice. Was forced to wait three hours in line for them to reroute to flight twelve hours later. Staff was rude, unapologetic, demanding and incompetent the entire time. Flight was packed, uncomfortable and smelled terrible. Flight was rough, landing was rough. Terrible airline."

Nadelen: "For an international flight, only the first non-alcoholic drink is included for free. Let's say, if you want 2 orange juices, you have to pay for the second. Alcohol, of course, is not free under their system. Snacks? Forget about it."

Nadelen: "During online check in and through the website, I was informed that I would be able to have one free checked bag. I was never prompted that I would have to pay additional. However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."

Nadelen: "Had to pee."

Voordelen: "Quick and easy, nice cabin crew. I experienced no difficulties before or during this flight."
Nadelen: "We did not get food in this flight, it was not necessary because it was only a 1h 25m flight, so I cannot rate it."

Nadelen: "Check in took two hours! Gmhad to wait in line to "check" our bag and then wait in another to "pay" for our checked bag and get boarding passes. Very inefficient."

Nadelen: "60euros for the first checked-in bag??? Ridiculous."

Voordelen: "I almost missed my next flight from Dublin to Chicago. There was not enough time between flights with current security measures. Your site should not have suggested those two flights so close."

Nadelen: "The first plane was absolutely filthy. I paid for Wifi and when connection was spotty put my laptop down still with half of the data I purchased unused, but then it wouldn't let me back on later. Food was awful. On the first flight they skipped me for drink service entirely."

Nadelen: "Try leaving on time for once, I nearly missed my connection because Aer Lingus is terrible at on time departures. I'm just under 2 meters tall, the seats were so tiny my knees were pressed into to the seat in front of me the entire trip."

Nadelen: "Most cramped flight I have ever experienced. Tiny seats, no legroom, and super narrow aisles so that people walking up and down would invariably bump your shoulder when they walked by - makes for a difficult sleep. Rude air hostesses Waited on ground 2 HOURS, inaccurate info, no service, nada"

Voordelen: "The whole crew was amazing! Meals were very tasty. The pillow and blanket was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the fact we all had entertainment screens."
Nadelen: "The selection of movies was not very grand."

Voordelen: "The service from the flight crew was excellent. On board meals were good, too. Although my luggage never made it on my flight to Chicago due to a delay arriving in Dublin, Aer Lingus provided me with tracking information, and I received my suitcase at my home within 48 hours."

Voordelen: "When I think of international, I think of the huge airplane with 3 rows of seating, an extra inch of leg space for us economy flyers ...this was basically a domestic airplane and the staff was polite but nothing over the top."

Nadelen: "Could not get a crew member to respond to the call button. We got what was left for a dinner meal, no choice. Handed a ‘hot pocket’, no napkin, no drink. My headphone jack partially worked—ear buds fine but the internal connection was not working well—sound only from 1 ear bud. Not pleasant for watching or listening to entertainment."

Nadelen: "My flight was cancelled approximately 36 hours before departure. Neither Aer Lingus not the booking agency Justfly.com informed me. I discovered this as I was about to leave for airport. Neither could help me to book a new flight. Justfly.com didn't see that the flight was cancelled because Aer Lingus did not inform them. I had to go to the airport and spend 8 hours in line at the ticket desk to get a new flight the next day, in addition to 2 hours spent on the phone. Had these companies done their jobs properly, I could have rescheduled my flight days earlier on the phone and not wasted an entire day of my vacation. When I asked Justfly.com for any form of compensation they refused. Will NEVER fly on this airline or book travel thru Justfly.com again."

Nadelen: "Not very happy with Aer Lingus’s ground crew or customer service or the way they run things. And Dublin airport is an unorganized mess. Probably will never fly with them again. Gave no concessions for canceling my flight out to Amsterdam."

It was at least 1/2 before anyone arrived for work. The gate on the boarding pass printed that morning, was the furthest gate and a very long walk. When we arrived there we were told it was changed. We heard a lot of gate changes over the loud speaker, but no announcement from aer lingud. British airways was at"

Voordelen: "Average economy for a 90 minute flight. Crew were cheerful."
Nadelen: "They don't have a free drink service like most European airlines."

Voordelen: "The only thing I can say that I liked about this flight was that we arrived a little early."
Nadelen: "Note: This review is for Aer Lingus a partner of British Airways. 1) Service - one of our fight attendants was incredibly rude. She clearly resents her job. 2) The plane itself was very old and not well maintained. The audio jack for the in-flight entertainment was broken and I could not watch anything. My wife complained about the touch screens being faulty and her audio system was bad. Also, the carpet and seat fabric was torn. 3) The food was disgusting. I mean, really bad. 4) There was a charge for alcohol whereas British Airways was complimentary. 5) Overall, I will never fly Aer Lingus again. It was the worst flying experience in memory."

Nadelen: "No complimentary refreshments offered, not even water."

Nadelen: "Poor gate service, insufficient information on flight, which was flown by Aer Lingus."

Voordelen: "The staff were so, so helpful and made sure we were all as comfortable as possible. I liked all the snacks and drinks and the no charge for checked bags. (A big help after a long trip and short on $!) And the best part? They dealt with U.S customs before we left Dublin so that we didn't have to deal with the long lines in Boston. So grateful!!!"

Nadelen: "We just returned home to New York from our trip to Amsterdam and Ireland. The trip itself was amazing despite the sub par customer service we received from Aer Lingus that definitely put a damper on our vacation. Our flight on Wed July 19th from NYC to Amsterdam went off without a hitch until we claimed our luggage, my brand new suitcase was covered with stains. Very disappointing but we went on to enjoy our time in Amsterdam. The real problems began when we flew from Amsterdam to Dublin, first we were seated all over the plane and worst of all when we arrived my husband's bag was lost. We went to customer service and completed the paper work. Everything my husband had for the trip was in that bag. Aer Lingus only texted him once and after that he had to call every day to check the status of his bag. Instead of exploring Dublin, we had to spend Sunday shopping to get him clothes for the trip. No word from Aer Lingus. Monday morning July 24 he calls to find the status of his bag. It was found in Amsterdam and was to be flown to Dublin and shipped to our next stop in Kinsale. We arrived Monday evening to find that the bag had not been shipped. Again no word from Aer Lingus. My husband called to find out the status and made arrangements to pick the bag up when we were flying back to NYC. We were happy the bag was found but my husband still was without all of his belongings for our entire trip. On Thursday July 27 we arrived at the airport early to retrieve the bag before we checked in to our flight. We were dismayed to find that there was not a person to talk to but a phone on a column to call to get help retrieving the luggage. There was a queue at the phone with people ahead of us in similar situations. Finally someone came out to escort my husband to get his bag. We were traveling with our son, and again our seats were scattered about the plane. There was no one at checkin to help us, and we didn't get help at the gate. So we had to sit separately for the 6 hour and 30 minute flight. When we claimed our bags, my bag now had tears along with the stains. This was a brand new suitcase and it is now ruined. My husband says he will never fly Aer Lingus again and this was the worst customer service he has had in his life. The customer service was virtually non existent."

Voordelen: "Flight went smoothly, staff were pleasant, seat was fine, entertainment worked well"
Nadelen: "The overall feel is that the staff are very rigid about their rules. They come down the aisle at their appointed times, but never just check up to see how people are doing. The rule about registering for a vegetarian meal 72 hours advance is ridiculous. there should always be meat-free options for people, not just vegetarians. The flight attendant was kind enough to find some fruit salad for me, out of the crew meals, but she shouldn't have to. in general they don't feel very warm or inviting."

Voordelen: "Friendly staff. Made efforts to assure passengers there were arrangements made for them in Dublin due to our late departure."
Nadelen: "I rated food and entertainment as 1 star since there is no N/A option. Our short flight did not provide them."

Voordelen: "i liked nothing from the experience on this leg or the journey. I was frustrated and angry."
Nadelen: "The check in procedure in Amsterdam took almost two hours. Then I was late to the gate. There was no assistance getting to the gate for none of the passengers who experienced these delays."

Voordelen: "I liked the in-flight crew. They were very pleasant and helpful!"
Nadelen: "The delays! The check-in app was down and the ladies at the desk didn't seem to be in any hurry to make sure we didn't miss our flight. It was the worst experience."

Nadelen: "Baggage lost for mere one-hour flight from Amsterdam to Dublin with extended delay before it was recovered."

Voordelen: "I understand the need for rules, but delaying 250 People because three idiots check baggage and don't show up is absurd. You need to have your own people on site who can take it off. I'll never fly you again."
Nadelen: "Further, you did little to ameliorate the situation for those stranded. I appreciate the hotel, but air Canada, united etc ALL offer cash compensation for delays caused by the airline..you didn't even offer an onboard drink. Also, the flight to JFK left 10 minutes after we landed: you should have held that flight rather than cost us all time/money/stress!"

Nadelen: "Everything from start to finish incompetent."

Voordelen: "comfortable seat in economy class flight not crowded"
Nadelen: "no food or drink, unless I was willing to buy a bottle of water for $3."

Voordelen: "Friendly crew. Seats were comfortable"

Nadelen: "There wasn't any good food options and there was a charge for everything. Not good....."

Nadelen: "1. BA said I couldn't get a seat before 24 hrs before. Then when I tried to get a seat assignment I was told (by email) to contact Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus said that I should have called before 24 hrs before, and that seats were now in control of the gate (this still 22 hrs before flight time). Total lack of coordination. 2. At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Voordelen: "Worst experience flying of my life and I've flown quite a lot. Showed up for my flight in Amsterdam to a connecting flight in Dublin to sfo for Christmas. They told me I didn't have a seat on the ams-Dublin flight. Waited and asked everyone with aer Lingus who was available which was one woman who ignored me as much as possible whether I would make it home for Christmas. No info given. Finally got thrown (literally) a ticket after the plane was completely boarded. Barely made my connecting flight in Dublin. Arrived in sfo and my luggage never arrived. A week later, after countless phone calls, bag descriptions, and headaches, my luggage was located in Dublin. I just received my bag today with everything I needed for Christmas but didn't have. Basically aer Lingus ruined my Christmas 2016 and I still can't figure out who to log a complaint to. Worst airline ever."

Nadelen: "Check in was not working on line. Very frustrating."

Voordelen: "I was comfortable as far as temperature and smoothness of flight. I was surprised to have tasty food and two meals!"
Nadelen: "I was really uncomfortable with no leg room. The woman in front of me really hurt my knee when she let her seat back crash into my knee ( I had to lift my leg with my hands and try to fit my foot down in a tiny space in order to cross my legs. Trying to get up to get out of the seat was extremely awkward. The worst experience was online booking. It was difficult to understand and impossible to change my seat. I even called."

Voordelen: "On time departure and arrival. Chairs sit ok"
Nadelen: "Display screen hard to navigate, unresponsive after pushing ---etc. Audio of movies difficult to understand. temperature little too low"

Voordelen: "Option of 2 seats along sides instead of 3 Crew was helpful rebooting the entertainment systems"
Nadelen: "Charged for alcohol on an overseas flight. Entertainment counsel didn't work or was really slow thru most of the flight"

Voordelen: "The staff was all very kind and helpful! Thanks!"
Nadelen: "Only a simple delay due to weather."

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for an hour and a half causing me to miss my connecting flight back to the US. Because I missed my connecting flight, they had to reroute me through Boston and then to San Francisco. I paid extra for an upgraded seat and they still sat me in a middle seat. To componsate for the 8 and a half hour delay and two brutal flights, they gave me a meal voucher for 8 Euros. I won't be flying Aer Lingus anytime soon. Of the three flights that I had with them this trip, two were severely delayed. I'm exhausted!"

It was almost impossible to get out of the seat to use the restroom or to stretch and it was miserable. Voordelen: "The size of the plane was nice. They had a good move selection. The vegan meal I was given was great."
Nadelen: "It was loud, cold, the food was just okay at least my vegan meal was the bomb but it would have been better had when we booked the flight it allowed me to also choose this option for my husband. Since he is vegan as well."

Voordelen: "Direct flight from Indy to CDG is great. The plane was not so full, so I hope business improves so we can keep it going. Very smooth flight, with good and friendly crew."

Nadelen: "Security services at Manchester airport...too long and not friendly at all"

Nadelen: "It is very difficult to get around CDG airport with a disabled person. There is no shuttle. By the time we got to check in, we were ten minutes late. They would not check us in, and we paid over $700 to change tickets to the next flight. When I complained, I was told to stop being rude or I would get no ticket at all. My mother is 94 years old and we did the best we could given the circumstance."

Voordelen: "Ground crew at CDG was helpful to file a claim for the lost luggage."
Nadelen: "Ground crew at MXP Was inexperienced. She called every one in my flight to form a new line and it was immediately total chaos. And then they lost one of our luggages!"

Voordelen: "I liked the crew, they were professional and tried their best"
Nadelen: "The flight was a chartered flight . Air France informed us that due to cabin crew shortage they couldn't operate an air france flight and hence they hired Air Belgium. Whilst the crew were nice , the actual plane was old and creaky. It wasn't up to the standards expected of Air France. They could have done better in getting a plane up to standard. A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."

Queued for nearly two hours before some airport employee gave us instructions to travel by train without any other information or tickets etc. Had to buy my ticket. Couldn’t recuperate my suitcase. Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

Nadelen: "Boarding was a bit confusing and staff wasn't actively being helpful with information. Got absolutely nothing to drink/eat on the plane-not even a glass of water! The flight crew was just ok, no one "stood out" as good or excellent. Again, nothing about this flight made me want to definitely fly British Airways again."

Nadelen: "I got to the airport the morning of my flight from Warsaw -Dublin and was told my flight was cancelled and no longer exists. Luckily I got a hold of my daughter who was in LA at this time and woke her up at 1am with this issue. She called the web booking company Webjet where you directed us to buy the flight, and was told by Webjet that my flight was cancelled the day before and we were not notified IN ANY WAY! By some miracle, my daughter was able to talk to Webjet and get me on a new flight last minute. Again, this is all happening at 1am California time while I am stranded at the airport in Warsaw! Unacceptable!!! I am however glad that the issue was resolved and I made it home safely. But I think someone needs to look into this immediately because if it wasn't for my daughter, I wouldn't have left the Warsaw airport due to the fact that the airline cancelled the flight and neither the airline, Kayak, nor Webjet notified me...."

Nadelen: "We flew in from San Francisco to London on full-price Business Class tickets. Stupidly, I bought Coach tickets separately for the short leg to Dublin. British Air would not check two bags all the way to Dublin. For one of the bags, we did the measurements, and joined all the other people who haul extra luggage onto the plane for carry-on. For the other bag, sixty-five Pounds Sterling (about eighty-five bucks) for the other bag for a one hour flight. Wow! That put a big damper on the whole flight experience."

Voordelen: "I really liked how neat & professional the crew were dressed. The plane was new & the seats were comfortable."
Nadelen: "I didn't like that beverages (like water, juice, coffee) weren't complimentary. All the flights I've been on in the U.S. offer those for free, along with a small snack."

Nadelen: "Horrible plane. Sounded like it was on its last legs."

Nadelen: "In our party of 3, one bag was lost -- apparently stolen at Rome airport. Nobody there from Aerolingus to go to! No complimentary food or even water from Dublin to Rome. Lousy food and expensive drinks elsewhere. Airplane from Dulles to Dublin ws old, unkept, antiquated. Serbve on airplanes was bad to nonexistent. NO coffee in the am after an overnight flight!!???"

Nadelen: "They lost our stuff as we travel internationally for 10 days. No clue where it is"

Nadelen: "It wasn't British airways and we had to get to the airport extraordinarily early because no online check in. Pretty sure no one at Aer Lingus likes their job."

Nadelen: "Worse experience ever!!!!"

Voordelen: "They tried to help me in person by making a phone call to the security gate."
Nadelen: "Despite the call to security (I guess it was to the security gate? Not sure) it seemed standard the way they spoke, not as if anyone seemed empathetic to my situation as I am a graduate student and was in dire need of returning to Dublin, Ireland for work the following morning. I have had a different experience with different British Airways representatives. The customer service on the phone seemed good, but in person, it just felt like robots following policy unfortunately. I spent $150 for a roundtrip flight and could not use my "Return" portion of my ticket. I arrived to the security gate and I could not be let in. My flight was even delayed which should have allowed me time to scan through security but it did not. My phone is temporarily unavailable as it is in the shop for repair, while I navigate a foreign country without the use of maps or access to email so easily. I checked my email at a random hotel in London for 1.5 hours, and 30 mins after I left, apparently an email was sent by BA to me, alerting me that I could check-in my luggage, instead of having to take it on-board as carry-on. All these details would have been nice to know a little more ahead of time. I wish I could be refunded for my flight, as that was the last flight of the evening, and I ended up having to go to Air Lingus to pay nearly 300 pounds to get on their last flight back to Dublin. As a graduate student, working on my thesis and fulfilling a job here in Ireland as the final leg of my Master's degree, any money saved is a help. Forfeiting half my ticket, and purchasing a new one twice the price of my original was not something I was expecting. I was an emotional wreck getting on-board my other airline's flight. Just not a positive experience that resonated with me overall :( I wish I had more positive insight to share, especially on social media or Yelp about my experience to London and back with BA. Plane was small, and complimentary drinks were not served as every flight I have ever been on in 30 years, and that is several several dozen, have ALWAYS given at least a drink, even if they didn't have peanuts/pretzels. Pretty disappointing.."

Nadelen: "the lack of anyone willing to assist me in the airport, over the phone, online. i was not able to check in had to call customer service several times because i was getting hung up on or told that nothing could be done to check me in, issue me boarding passes or just answer general questions. Went to the airport 3 hours prior for a transatlantic flight like recommended (6:45). The attendants showed up to the desk at 8, with no sign as to when they would show up even though the desk was getting called constantly starting at 7am. was told that in dublin we would have to check in to flight and we would be assigned seats then. even thought the attendant printed our boarding passes for the connecting flight but did not give them to us. When in dublin was told that we had already been checked in and we could have been assigned our seats in madrid by the connections desk. When talking to others on same flight they told us they were allowed to checkin into all flights and had no issues at the airport"

Nadelen: "1. Bought ticket via kayak chicago to prague, so I got outgoing trip on British airways but they codeshare it out to Aer Lingus. Unfortunately, these dumbos haven't figured out that no matter what the gyrations they do, I still want to be able to pick my seat beforehand. Nada. Not possible online. And forget calling aer lingus 800 number. called twice and was on hold for 30 min each time, they dont bother answering. 2. At airport, I was willing to pay extra for a good seat because of the issues above, so they said they would help me out. Ha - the manager who purportedly was helping me out gave me a seat up front next to a shrieking infant and behind a bassinet (he knew exactly what he was doing but didnt care).
