I ended up missing my connection to Antayla because the customs line was too long, so I was re-booked for a later flight departing 7+ hours later. I think in the future kayak needs to ensure at least 2 hours for a connecting flight
Voordelen: Good gluten free bread on Istanbul to Malta leg. Blankets are good as is amenity pack which has all but diasappeared on BA. Good choice of films
Nadelen: Foot rest in economy, gluten free meal is poor (except bread).

Nadelen: I didn’t realize that Chinese transit visa is needed to transfer at Xiamen airport. When I bought the tickets, I wasn’t notified nor advised to get the Chinese visa. The Xiamen rep at Lax didn’t let me board first and I explained and they gave me the visa waiver paperwork. It was so much of hassle. I’ve laid over many Chinese cities via different airlines and never had any problems. Will not fly again on Xiamen!!

Nadelen: Snacks and water ran out during the last several hours of the flight. For shorter people, their feet would have difficulty touching the floor.
Voordelen: Plane was new and clean. Flight crew was very friendly. Liked the mood lighting during the flight. Good selection of films to watch during the long flight.
Nadelen: The food was okay but they ran out of selection a couple of times so I had no choice what to eat. But that’s it nothing else I didn’t like. Really good airline.
Nadelen: got severe food poisoning from the airline food.
Nadelen: We meet different problem in this flight. First, the boarding start late and we arrive late more than one hour. They could organize the entrance with range of number. The food was ok, but the beverage is poor, just half glass of wine or juice. no more. one small bottle should be normal fro lunch or dinner.

Voordelen: Everything, from boarding to departure, the service is excellent! The staff was attentive and very welcoming. Spending a few hours reminded me why I fell in love with SK in the first place.

Nadelen: Entertainment very poor. Would recommend a kruger selection of movies and preferably to be available to watch once we are on the plane waiting for take off. Economy class space limited .
Nadelen: the food is terrible. he literally dropped my bread and picked it back up to give to me. it was soggy, tasteless and disgusting even more given the rude crew. I never comment a review unless it was a good or extremely terrible experience. One of the crew members was extremely rude to Americans. God forbid we ask him a question he would keep walking. For the price I paid and the duration of my flight (12 hours from LAX-FCO) I wish I chose a different airline. that was the most uncomfortable flight I've had in a long time and I travel often.

Nadelen: Endless waiting and lost luggage. Excuse was unpredicted weather conditions. It was snowing in Finland so they had to clear the Ice from the planes.. Snowing in Finland? How uncommon is that during December? I actually think most of this is poor ground handling In Helsinki.
Voordelen: Boarding was ok in Dublin, even though they habitually use one of the poor gates with inadequate seating and entry to the plane from the tarmac, not via a bridge. queing and check in were well managed however.
Nadelen: Disembarked at Helsinki unto a bus. Despite landing roughly on time, this antiquated procedure effectively made the flight 20 mins late, as that’s when the passengers got to the terminal.
Nadelen: Too long of a wait for "parking" after landing

Nadelen: Time to board delayed. Delayed landing. The passengers bus in airport got malfunctioned which caused more delay to board on flight.
Voordelen: Crew and services were amazing. The seats and seating arrangement including all amanities are excellent.
Nadelen: Lounge at Ahmedabad airport is way undersized and below average expextations in terms of furniture, food and beverages and quality of service.
Voordelen: The crew was really nice.
Nadelen: The delay was very poorly handled. We had to go through security multiple times because delays would happen just before boarding and they’d change gates. Plus, meal vouchers were useless for us as Dubai airport is quite unfriendly to vegetarians. Never flying Emirates again.
Nadelen: Ontario Airport for international arrival is confusing. I think this has to do with more the airport than the airline...although the airline could have helped too. There is no one to ask questions once you exited the security area. The signage is incorrect for airport shuttle to the parking lots. In order to get to the parking lot, one would need to first take a rental car shuttle to the regular terminal and then change to an airport shuttle.
Nadelen: Food was some of the worst airline food I’ve had. I had the vegetarian options and the vegetables were very bland and over cooked. I usually like airplane food.
Voordelen: Honestly the turbulence really did not make this an enjoyable ride. I actually could not wait for us to late. It was rather petrifying.
Nadelen: The food was not great and again the seldom announcements about turbulence made this a difficult ride.
Voordelen: seats were full configurable, tray table very logical and space all felt useable.
Nadelen: the seats in business class as 1-2-1 seating. each seat has aisle access! flight was super smooth, seats comfortable, although the ‘2’ seas had no arm rest on the isle side. took a little getting used to. There was no overhead bin for the center “2” seas, had to share with the outer window occupants, but plenty of room. IFE was a huge screen with great programming. it looked like.a 16 or 18” screen. meal service was above average and wine selection was strong. featuring both old world and new.

Nadelen: Toronto airport disappointing. We arrived one hour esrly, but the gate the toronto airport told us to go to was broken so we had to wait for over one hour on the plane. Then the plane was moved aside and we walked to the bus that drove us to the airport. No luggage information given airport Toronto

Voordelen: There was no crew that I noticed....it’s like they were just working for themselves.
Nadelen: Some of the worst, ergonomically incorrect, hard as rock seats I have ever encountered on a commercial aircraft!
Nadelen: Security. I got my wallet stolen from inside my backpack in the overhead bin.
Voordelen: Crew was fine.
Nadelen: The food quality was really bad with no alternatives. All passengers with vegetarian food option were complaining.

Nadelen: The airline staff Abu Dhabi were very unhelpful. They have our seats away to other people. Then they lost our bags. Horrible experience. Would never fly them again!
Nadelen: There was no complimentary toothbrush, and socks to wear like other international flights. To disembark from plane you have to go down stairs, which is not easy for seniors. And the same to board in the plane.
Voordelen: Seats were super comfortable and on time arrival.
Nadelen: Food servings timings, were not matched with the New York time zone.

Voordelen: First time doing China southern. Their lay flat beds are more narrow and getting in and out was tight. I ain't that fat but my beer belly made it tight. Food outbound was better than return flight.
Nadelen: Beds could be more comfortable. They don't lay 100% flat.

Voordelen: Well, I got to my destination. We were bussed from a maintenance area to the arriving terminal. That was about 15 minutes of ride time. Then we waited a long time for our luggage since it was not actually at the terminal either.

Nadelen: Nothing really. I was totally disappointed with the other legs, but this last leg was exceptional. Not sure if I’ll ever consider flying with China Souther Airlines though.

Voordelen: The seat & the food were better than I’d expected, and, of course, that’s a *big* part of the experience.
Nadelen: I had to file a claim with Turkish because my new suitcase (not an expensive suitcase, but still) got seriously chewed up and is now unusable. At least it made it to the destination on time! And the contents were only slightly damaged. I will be happy if I get reimbursed for the suitcase.
Voordelen: The crew itself was great and very attentive. Based off checking in I didn't expect the flight experience itself to be so great.
Nadelen: Checking in was awful in SF. My downloaded boarding pass didn't work at the security gate and a lady checking boarding passes made snide comments about me not being TSA pre check. Had to go and wait in the line to have them print the pass and of course. Make the downloaded passes work.
Voordelen: Crew was very professional and helpful.
Nadelen: Transit process at Istanbul airport was not very smooth. Ground staff could have been more helpful.

Voordelen: Cabin crew was extremely friendly, welcoming, and provided good inflight service.
Nadelen: The boarding was very chaotic. Very few institutions or announcements made by ground crew. Passengers weren’t sure where to queue being that there were multiple gates for the A380-800 and were left asking each other and comparing boarding passes. Little to no air circulation in economy.
Voordelen: Great crew, comfortable seat, good food, and food entertainment.
Nadelen: Delayed 20 minutes out of Denver, and when I arrived at my connecting city in Munich I was immediately told I would not make my connecting flight due to customs lines and to reschedule. I walked 5 minutes to customs, no lines, walked another 5 minutes to my gate, and easily made the connection.
