Voordelen: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

And that is a total not agreeable we are 3 people riding the plane myself and my kids and we did not have anything to eat. There was a kid screaming and talking very loud behind me, while everyone was sleeping. I was unable to sleep on the flight, even with ear plugs. The kid sitting next to me was getting Play-doh everywhere, on me, the floor and all over the seats. He was also kicking the seat in front of him and his mother would not correct him. It would be helpful for the crew to say something to the parents, as some parents do not believe in discipline. The vegan food was very good on the flight to Hong Kong, but on the flight to Chicago it was bland. I was still very hungry after eating + did not get protein in the first meal. With the seat in front of me reclined all the way back, my knees were touching the back of the seat, my legs were swollen and in a lot of pain after the flight."

Nadelen: "Cabin crew was poor in English communication skill. I remain skeptical how the cabin crew could effectively communicate to passengers in the case of an in-flight or ground emergency. Pillow covers were filthy. There were body fluid stains and long hairs stuck to the covers. I went through and rejected four of them. Inflight service was good but there was an unwritten Cathay Pacific rule that I was not aware of.........each passenger is restricted to two alcohol beverage drinks in any one hour period."

Nadelen: "Delayed from boarding at 1 am until 5 am when they finally announced it was cancelled. They made announcement updates every 10 minutes meaning that people had to be constantly alert to see if anything changed in the next 10 minutes. When the flight was cancelled, the employees could not offer any information about how to get ticket prices refunded, or how to get to the destination. They could not even connect passengers to the managers because the managers are in Hong Kong. The number they gave out to passengers for customer services could not be reached because this it is an international number. People had to miss connecting flights, meetings, important appointments, and are still trying to figure out how to get refunded for an expensive flight. Terrible experience and customer service."

This flight had been scheduled for weeks; I would think they could plan the arrival time to be the ACTUAL arrival time."
Voordelen: "It was one of the best airlines in all respects. We flew economy and were treated very well. The stagg was lovely and the food plentiful and good. I will definitely fly them again. The website could be a little easier to navigate to check flight status and seat confirmation. They need to work on that. United airlines website would be a good place to start rheir study."

On Schipol airport there is screens everywhere and they do not bother to update the status of boarding. Instead, they behave like everything is normal you are the person making the problem."

Nadelen: "Collecting bags was easy and we’ll sign posted. Exit to the arrival hall was a bit confusing but we were directed to the appropriate gate (by colour of boarding pass) and baggage check removed when checked against luggage"

Nadelen: "Choice of movies was not that good. I had severe diarrhea the next day after the flight and I put it down to the aircraft food."
Voordelen: "The check-in staff realised we hadn't allowed enough time to transit in Ho Chi Minh city, so they seated us close to the front and put business class tags on our luggage. They were the first on to the carousel."
Nadelen: "Every one of our legs was delayed, which contributed to tight transit times."
Voordelen: "The check-in staff at SGN domestic were efficient in getting us on to our connecting flight despite the late arrival from Sydney."
Nadelen: "Communication. Our plane had a malfunction at Sydney which caused a delay. After it was repaired, we are then told of further delays due to the pilot now running out of hours, delays in sourcing a new pilot, and then having to resupply all the catering. 26 hour delay."

Nadelen: "The plane was late in boarding, and even later in arrival. We were given no explanation, only an apology. And it turns out worse, because apparently we had been shifted to a plane that was going to continue into Laos, so the plane came in at the International Arrivals Section and we had to take a bus from there to get our luggage in the Domestic Arrivals Hall. Making it all even later. No food offered for this quite expensive flight, only water, and no entertainment either."
