We had a 4 hour delay in leaving and I appreciated the text messages and good communication during that stressful time.
The initial leg of my journey from Glasgow to London Heathrow via British Airways was good and parts of it were excellent. However, Heathrow turned out to be a nightmare exactly like what we're seeing in the media. Area hotels are advising guests to allow 4 hours at the airport before ALL flights. The problems are too numerous to list here. Hopefully they will be able to sort it out in the near future. American Airlines which partners with British Airways was some of the worst customer service I've seen in a while. They closed the gate early despite the fact airport staff tried to tell them multiple passengers were delayed at no fault of their own. They turned a deaf ear and packed the flight with standbys. Of course, then they held the flight on the tarmac while they removed all the luggage from those of us left behind. We were sent to the desk to rebook. American Airlines closed their stations a couple hours later with dozens still waiting and walked away. British Airways stayed and did everything possible to take care of us. After 7 1/2 hours, I was finally able to get a flight out 3 days later. Now I'm cooling my heels in an airport hotel (thanks to BA). I would love to see London, but I'm just to worn out from negotiating this chaos. If I were grading this it would be British Airways (A) and American Airlines (D-). The American Airlines employees at check-in were the worst airport employees I have ever experienced. The line to check in took over 40 minutes because they were standing around talking- to the point multiple customers (not even us) complained. Overbooked the flight we were getting on so they deleted our seat reservations (that we had receipts printed out for) and said they weren’t in the “system” but we could try for random seat assignments at the gate. Argued with us that we should take the $1000 to stay an extra night and get on a different flight since we “didn’t have seats anyway). Hassled us making us put our carry on bags in the metal bins repeatedly until they fit exactly with nothing hanging out (have never had issues with the carry on bags we brought and they didn’t make anyone else do this). Put one member of the group through “random” security check. By the time we made it to the gate (got to the airport 2 hours early and would have been earlier had there not been a major car accident on the route to the airport), boarding was almost over and we got assigned random seats not together.
You took my luggage off the plane in error and now it needs to be found.
I would've liked to be informed of the cancellation of the original flight instead of arriving very early in the morning and finding out, then another hour on the phone holding for British Airways and a two day journey home...not okay. That extra two days cost up nearly 500 USD in additional expenses, including another covid test and two nights lodging. We got lucky that British Airways even helped us...they almost referred us back to Kayak for rebooking, but since the cancellation happened less than 24 hours from the flight they rebooked us. Again, no notification from Kayak or the carrier about the flight...not okay. In the future, I probably book through Costco travel or direct with the carrier. It was unpleasant to learn through a negative experience that Kayak dropped the ball on this one.

To top it off, the airline decides to leave my bag in the states because the flight was changed and I didn’t notify them; which of course is ignorant because they changed the flight and didn’t even notify me."

Voordelen: "Good for leg room and nice and the seats are comfy and wide too. Still get a free drink and snack on this flight and the service was friendly and efficient throughout. We were very quick to board and flight landed early, so very happy."
Nadelen: "I'm guessing this plane was stopping in EDI for the night, so it parked way, way away from the terminal, so we had an extra 15 minutes none of us had been expecting to wait for the bus and transfer."
Voordelen: "made up some time in the air so we werent as late as we were delayed."
Nadelen: "No TVs!! in 2018? on a large airplane? C'mon. Old plane with no-seatback entertainment. just tiny screens many rows up, on the bulkhead. Terrible. One offering for beverages then never saw the flight crew again. Flight delayed by close to an hour. even with making up time we landed late. big issue for me due to connections."

I was told it was because the airplane was "very old" which whilst it may be true it is not something I particularly want to hear. I was also told that as the flight was full I could only move seats if someone wanted to swap. I'm not sure if the flight attendant was expecting me to stand up and make a public request?!"

Nadelen: "The boarding started late (30 min before supposed departure), took much longer than expected because we needed to use the bus. Then we waited another hour on the tarmac. We were told it would be only a few minutes. Then we were told we would make up for the lost time, but that wasn't true and an additional half hour was lost on a holding pattern at LHR. We missed our connection. The instructions were unclear on what to do (contradiction between flight attendants and ground crew). By the time we picked up new boarding passes, we had already missed that flight as well and had to go to the customer service, which took another 45 min. Flight entertainment didn't work the first hour. There was a high pitched beeping sound during the whole flight (not the regular airplane noise)."
Nadelen: "The aircraft was old. The seats in WT+ were therefore old and not very spacious. . The cabin crew seemed to be on a mission to save food and drink by not asking the passengers if they wanted anything. They juat walked up the aisles and you had to stop them. For a 10.5 hour flight we got one meal, a tiny snack box and one pizza snack thing. The inflight entertainmwnt was dreadful. 5 inch screens. All in all i would not be paying again for an "upgrade" to WT+."

Voordelen: "My gluten free meal was delivered and acceptable, the seats were comfortable and the crew was exceptionally helpful and friendly."
Nadelen: "After first class boarded, the remainder of the passengers lined up all at once. As it was a large plane, there were two entrances and it was hard for them to keep up and direct us to the proper door. It was a minot issue."

I used two Flights both of them suffered from a delay of 90 minutes . I the second segment we waited 99 minutes in lthe queue and even water was not offered . The crew provided disinformation in both flights and finally no entertainment was suggested

The price is great, but not even getting one check-in bag allowance is terrible, especially at over $50 per checked bag when purchased online ahead of time. The flight was late, and any food or drink you must pay for. Again, the price is great, but you get what you pay. I also feel that every Pegasus landing is so hard and fast that the pilot is trying to see how hard and far he can pound the plane into the runway!

Nadelen: "The none sense of explaining why I cant go on the plane ... according to there website I should have 2 stamps from the lebaniese authority on my passport one for going in and one for going out which I gladly provide them with... the responsoable for the check in at Frankfurt Airport and according to him was communicating with "pegasus Airline" in Istanbul by WhatsApp and just kept saying "those can't fly today" the funny thing he was writing in german and refuse to give me there number so I can explain the situation now the main reason why i couldn't go on the plane because I wasn't once in my life in Turkei which makes none sense according to there website I contacted them with Emails and they answered me that I should have the 2 stamps if i want to fly from Instanboul to Beirut which I already have but the haven't notice that i didnt even got ob the plane at the 1st place .... the huge amount of nobe sense, stupidity, the lying that there is no Pegasus airline office ath the airport and the 0 responsibility for there actions can provide you guys with a picture of how they behave with the customers"

Nadelen: "Oh, boy. First, this flight was super late and they wouldn't admit it. I went to the gate at boarding time, and the staff rudely pushed me away, saying I misunderstood the gate number. I double checked, and no, that was indeed the right gate. This lasted until the airport announced the final boarding call for my flight, and people started lining up.Then the staff had to admit that this was the right gate and the plane was just late. We didn't start boarding until way after the announced time (which they didn't bother to update on the screen until it passed. Extraordinarily disorganized. Second, the flight crew was loud and kept the lights turned way up on an overnight flight. Everyone around me was trying to sleep, and they were woken up by the crew yelling "DO YOU WANT COFFEE?" 5 rows away. Even when they finally dimmed the lights 3 hours into the flight, they kept the Tv's on, so the flashing advertisements prevented me from sleeping restfully. Third, you have to pay for coffee and tea. Who does this? They also begin their flight with loud, obnoxious music that jolts everyone awake (see above for this being an overnight flight). Overall, only choose this airline if you're okay with being kept forcibly awake and you don't mind the flight being late. Oh, and you have 2 euros to pay for simple tea."
