Also, I was asked to check in my bag because "the aircraft was full" however when I got on the plane I noticed it was half-empty and there would have been ample overhead room."

Now I’m in Geneva and my bags in Zurich..."

Nadelen: "the flight was almost 2 h late without any explanation from the ground crew whats is going on , why is the aircraft late and what would be with the connection flight in Istanbul. while arrived at Istanbul it was total mass : representative of turkish airlines was waiting and focused on a group from Korea or china , helped them and barely answered other passengers who didnt know what is the status of their connection flight , which was not shown on the screen ( to tel aviv for example ). then it turned out that my flight took off 15 min before and i was approached to turkish desk to get voucher for poor meal at 2.30 am in the morning and a new ticket . that was poor compensation for 2 h delay in BUD and delay to substitute flight that took off on 7:45 am , almost 6 h later in istanbul . i was forced to run at the airport like a mad instead of having a rep of the co , explaining the passengers where to go and get their new flight ticket and not run hundred of meters with no address in the terminal area . that experience was so bad i havent been through for 13 years . i arrived TA after 14.5 h of trip for a flight who to take 4 h net including istanbul - TA ."

Voordelen: "They put me on a partner airline after causing my missed connection, so I witnessed nothing good about Turkish Airlines flight at this time."
Nadelen: "After a long saga with no help in making my connecting flight on the same Turkish Airlines, they gave me the boarding pass and told me my luggage was fine to carry on board for the partner airline they put me on. At the gate, that partner airline's reps (or Istanbul airport employees -- not sure) yelled at me that I had too much to carry on board and forced me to hastily check a bag with personal items I did not plan on checking. Needless to say, that also delayed my reaching the final destination even further because I had to wait for the luggage and it was already 1:00 in the morning in an unfamiliar and rough foreign city."

Nadelen: "There was no boarding announcement. I was given a boarding zone for no reason; boarding was a free for all. Our flight was delayed by almost an hour. We sat on the plane, by the gate, while the crew called the Istanbul Flight Control to figure out when our plane could arrive. This flight had been scheduled for weeks; I would think they could plan the arrival time to be the ACTUAL arrival time."

Nadelen: "Long boarding time from Amsterdam to Istanbul. No explanation of delay and THY wants you to wait miserably on gate. On Schipol airport there is screens everywhere and they do not bother to update the status of boarding. Instead, they behave like everything is normal you are the person making the problem."

Voordelen: "Over all the flight was okay, the food good, boarding was nice, and entertainment was good as well."
Nadelen: "This flight was for my mother, who is an old woman. On her way back from Belgium to Chicago, she has a layout more than 14 hrs. In this case the Turkish airlines were responsible to offer her a stay in a hotel, however this time they did not offer her any."

Voordelen: "No personal entertainment screen. No USB jack. These alone are unacceptable esp for an international flight. Food was terrible - vegetarian option was plain pasta!. Seats cramped and too close together. Crew didn't manage passengers putting luggage away so passengers did it very badly taking up overhead room with jackets and small bags. Gate was overcrowded and hot without enough seats. Staff was pleasant though and friendly and courteous and efficient."

Nadelen: "We booked our plane reservations through Kayak . My sister booked my reservation along with hers at the same time. Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Voordelen: "The premium economy clas was wonderful. All of the amenities, comfort, room made a long trip far more enjoyable. The crew was right there to help me get to the next gate."
Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Nadelen: "Having to pay for seat reservation ahead of the flight. I did not understand how seat selection would work and wanted to be sure my husband and I were seated together. I think I paid extra fees unnecessarily. It would be helpful to have better information."

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."

Voordelen: "Crew was beyond standard. Very nice and friendly and always accommodating."
Nadelen: "They ran out of vegetarian meals."

Voordelen: "The food was nice and the stewardess were professional."
Nadelen: "My ticket didn't specifically say I'm not allowed to have check-in luggage, so I needed to pay extra for that. I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"

Voordelen: "Seats comfortable. Decent legroom. Crew pleasant. Food was very good especially for a very short flight."
Nadelen: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."

Voordelen: "Our flight out of Amsterdam was roughly 30 minutes late. Since we were connecting to an International flight to return to the US there was no possibility we would be able to get to the International terminal through security and board our flight in the time available. So, Lufthansa staff met the connecting passengers as we disembarked, shuttled us via bus to the International terminal and ensured we made our connection. Finally, for airline food it was quite good (Vegan)."

Voordelen: "The price was good."
Nadelen: "This was NOT a Lufthansa flight. The plane was a United flight. One of the worst I have experienced in 40 years of flying to Europe and Hawaii."

Voordelen: "The entertainment system was good and the crew excellent. The person in front of me did not put their seat back which made my trip more comfortable. Loading and unloading was orderly and efficient."
Nadelen: "Food could have been better"

Voordelen: "Overall Austrian was fine. Smaller plane and people were professional."
Nadelen: "Certainly don’t expect the luxury of SE Asian or Middle Eastern airlines"

Voordelen: "I like the airline and the workers are great. I don't like when they charged for luggage that $60.00 each way like round trip is $120.00. It should be by weight is 50 lbs or 23 kilo for minimum and if it is over the weight than it should charged little more price."

Voordelen: "Crew allowed me to change seats to get two empty seats by the window that were available."

Nadelen: "Flight entertainment was not fully functional. Many films would not play. The meal was also particularly bad - all three options that were available (chicken, pasta and vegetarian curry). Flight attendants often seemed very rushed."

Nadelen: "Flights were late for more than 20 min. in both directions. Almost missed connecting flights in both directions. Had to pay for the luggage at the airport (luggage was not included in my ticket). Flight to my final destination was cancelled (first it was delayed, but I did not know that untill I got to the gate) I was diverted to other country (by other company), had to pay for hotel and taxi, missed almost two days of my vacation. On my flight back home, they have lost my luggage... hope they will find it. Now I am trying to get refund for cancelled flight, hotel, taxi, food... I will never fly with this company by my own choice any more!!!"

Nadelen: "It would have been better if back to back with priceline helped me out to get to another flight & they won’t even credit my ticket, so I LOST about $1200 & was excited for my vacation. They were unhelpful & they kept putting me untold & hanging up on me with their ticket agency on phone too."

We never felt like we needed anything. This was my first time flying to Europe and flying with Swiss. I will definitely choose them again!"

Nadelen: "I was frustrated with the staff at the desk in the airport, as we boarded 20miutes late and they did not feel it necessary to give any comment on the situation. Everyone was puzzled as to why we were not boarding, or if there was a problem. Even the screens did not show any change."

Nadelen: "We were almost three hours late on arrival. Being at VIE airport after midnight with no buses going home is no fun."

Voordelen: "It was fine"

Voordelen: "The flight was basic service to get me from one place to another. It was completely average and not quite the Austrian service I have previously known."

Voordelen: "I thought the food was excellent. Better food in coach than I get on first class domestic flights. Also, the in-flight entertainment was very good. I watched a couple of science shows and extreme sports shows that I truly enjoyed."
Nadelen: "There wasn't much I did not enjoy that could be changed. I chose to go coach and had to put up with seating that was more cramped than I like, but I expected that."

Nadelen: "5 hour delay. One staff member said there would be a delay, the second said there was no delay and after a couple hours the delay was confirmed. I was told the flight was full without the attendant even checking, flight was actually not even close to full. Nobody wanted to help and do their job, they just want to send you on your way."

Nadelen: "Technical issues with website and online check-in. Boarding was poorly organized. Food could be better (e.g, breakfast muffin was terrible). Also availability and varienty of alcoholic drinks could be better. Flight was delayed and therefore my luggage didn't make it to connecting flight.."

Specifically a staff member name Michelle was unprofessional and did not care much about passengers who waited for hours at the Group line because there was no indication that it is a group line. No one from the airliner bothered to explain or advise the passengers who were waiting and after more tan hour waiting when they eventually got to the head of the line they were told to go and stand in other lines. This was insane Long waiting times confusion Flight was late hence almost missed connection"

Nadelen: "I wasn't able to check in online therefor i got terrible seat. The guy next to me was very tall and big and he was stuck on me due to not enough space. I was extremly uncomfortable because he was rude when i asked him to let me out. I asked if i can change seats but the plane was full. I didn't get any sleep either. Extremly tiring and turbulent 10 hour flight."

Voordelen: "My husband's experience with their flight from Chicago to Vienna was amazing. Everybody helped accomodate him with our 15 month baby boy."
Nadelen: "The crew (check-in desk & flight crew did not put any effort to help accomodate us). They even asked us to do all the work in asking around. Squeezed us in the tightest place possible for travelling with our baby boy. Will not recommend your airline because of this!"

Somehow, despite flying Aeroflot all the way from Sofia to St Pete, the tickets sold to us were sold via Bulgaria Air, which meant we had to collect suitcases and re-check them at Moscow, all while we were not checked-in for the second leg!! LastMinute.Com is hands down the WORST travel website in the history of travel websites, as the above was not disclosed at any time. NEVER again will I even entertain booking via them."

Nadelen: "Checkin at SVO terminal D is total disaster. Understaffed counters, hours long lines, lack of instructions and assistance. On oversees flight 4 out of 6 lavatories were out of service. Cabin crew were in such hurry that they missed our row couple times. They served water only 4 times for 10 hours flight and refused to give a whole bottle for some bogus security concern."

Nadelen: "Not once have I seen an Aeroflot flight to take off at the advertised time. Yet, online reports show a perfect picture, with an occasional departure ahead of schedule. However, that means only gate being closed. Further preparations take quite some time more, and actual take off can start much later than expected."

Voordelen: "I gave it a 10 as the flight itself was very good, as have been all of my Aeroflot flights. More comfortable seats than most airlines, attentive and kind stewardesses, a very good flight, and good food. They even pass out sleep masks, slippers, and have personal toothbrush and toothpaste kits available in the bathroom. Much better than most American airlines."
Nadelen: "However, the ticketing and boarding personel at JFK are no longer the former polite and efficient Russian-speaking staff, and I wonder if this is a forced change due to JFK union rules? They are now native New Yorkers of various ethnic groups, like random JFK personnel, but not one of them ticketing us in the late evening spoke Russian! I saw several Russians struggling to try to get them to understand ticketing problems, and one older woman burst into tears, thinking they were telling her she couldn't get on the plane. The woman at the desk just coldly held up her hands in an X, gesturing her to get away. Please go back to the native Russian-language speakers. I didn't know if these were really Aeroflot employees, so didn't give a low rating as the flight itself was great. Also, when they lined us up to get on the plane it was four lines, with no instruction and no signs, even in English as to what the lines were for-- we were simply lined up like cattle, and after shoving me from one line to the next, with no explanation, even in English, finally herded us on the plane. It was a dehumanizing experience."

Nadelen: "Was never informed in advance by the airline of almost 9 hours delay. Airline staff was well aware but never made any effort to send emails or text messages. Highly unprofessional attitude."
