Voordelen: "How does one describe spending 10+ hours in a metal tube approximately 18 feet wide at 30,000 feet with 300 of your closest friends breathing the same air while having the seat in front of you pushed back so you cannot adequately see the passenger monitor because it's too close to focus on as your knees are under your chin? Flying in "steerage" is not comfortable as humans get larger and airplane seats get squeezed smaller. Please unsqueeze! Cabin crew members were excellent. Other than that, Europe was great!"

Voordelen: "On the fight back I had enough space; good service; fine food. Great trip. On the way to Amsterdam, I sat next to a very overweight woman and her body hung over my seat. I couldn't move around enough and I ended up with a trigger point problem which immobilized me for 3 days and kept me from sleeping at night. It was very disappointing, since this was a family visit trip."

Eventually the agent I was checking in with got busy, I went to a new agent, and with a flick of a keyboard he approved the extra rate based on my status, without even have my to request it."
Voordelen: "I love the overwhelming positivity exuded by the stallions in business class. Sometimes good things happen to mediocre coffee, others not so lucky!"
Nadelen: "The guy next to me looked like Joel Osteen and his daughter was actually Cardi B. I could feel the existential dread coming from their tray tables. Also, Lemon and Caramel cheesecake? What an awful flavor combination."
Nadelen: "When checkin documents The lady was having conversations and I had to run from C to E. Then through the line I had to step aside again because my boarding pass was invalid. Many steps to check documents but still at the actual gate the documents had to be checked again."
Voordelen: "About 10-15 yrs ago I stopped transatlantic flights on Delta. It was a scruffy airline with uninterested cabin crew & not to talk of food etc. What a change! Neat clean A330, friendly crew & food + beverages to brag (you pay outrageous prices on 'leaner-meaner' airlines if at all available). Loved the whole experience. Flying is not only getting from A to B & Delta has realized it. Looking forward to my next Delta flight!"

Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Voordelen: "for a 9.5 hour flight, the seat was actually pretty comfortable. The A330 is definitely more comfortable than 767. While the food sucked on my outbound flight from atlanta to london, the food on the amsterdam to atlanta flight was pretty good. there was a lunch, a snackbox and then a hot snack before landing. There was plenty of beer to drink so that made the flight better."
Nadelen: "first, the entertainment system was busted. you could use the flight tracker and play games, but couldn't watch any movies or tv shows. They only told us about this 5 minutes before boarding. There was wifi so you could stream shows to a tablet, but that assumed you had a tablet and that it was charged because the usb ports on the nonfunctioning entertainment system were, you guessed it, nonfunctional. Fortunately we had charged tablets and were able to stream some shows but they kept buffering and locking up because the gogo wifi wasn't working very well. About half the flight attendants were friendly but the other half obviously didn't want to be there. The last half hour was pretty bumpy due to remants of a hurricane in the area. The person behind me was frantically looking for a barf bag but we found out that most of the seats didn't have them. So that could have been ugly. I flew delta for the skymiles but based on this trip I will either fly on their partners (virgin, klm, airfrance) for reduced mile credit, or choose a different airline."

Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Nadelen: "Scolded by check in agent for being late, when there was well enough time to make it if plane was on time. It was actually 30 min late, so it was totally unnecessary. Forced to check our bags but they did make the transfer and picked up fast at Cusco."

The plane is a beauty, silent, smooth, but when you flight in tight seat, with a minimal reclination, it all goes to the trash. Good entertainment service, modern, but the missed a few movies they should have."

I suspect they may have been taken in mexico cit but it could have happened anywhere along the process"

Nadelen: "Hidden baggage fees. Extra fee to check in a bag was not disclosed at the moment I purchased my ticket. This airline doesn't even provide water to passengers. It's as stingy as it gets among all other airlines I've flow and value for money is poor."

Pues no me devolveran nada, ni mucho menos mi tiempo. Latam es una porqueria...."
Voordelen: "Plane was huge and comfortable. Lots of movies and shows to pick from. Crew friendly and considerate. Pillow and super comfy blanket. They offered dinner and breakfast on an overnight flight. Only ate egg and it was normal plane food. We landed 30 min early."

Nadelen: "attendants where too preoccupied chatting in the back with other patrons to answer my light and when i went to the back to get some water they where less than friendly about being interrupted in their chat session"

Nadelen: "The entertainment app would not download, and we were unable to access movies or shows via our iPads and phones so we could not watch anything."
Nadelen: "They auto rescheduled my flight to Washington since we arrived in Miami late. They failed to emphasis that the flight that left 90 minutes later was going to a different Washington airport."
Nadelen: "The ground personne in Iguazul were terrific. Flight got cancelled after check in. We were in waiting area. Staff remembered who we were, found us, had us hurry bavk to check-in. Got our luggage, got it retagged, and got us on another flight leaving almost immediately. We got to BA with no problems as did our luggage. Yay for your smart, resourceful, thoughtful and efficient ground crew in Iguazu. They deserve a special thanks."

Voordelen: "Super comfortable seats. First time i've ever been able to sleep on airplane seats because the seats go far enough back that you don't fall over sideways when you sleep. Food was great. The service was wonderful. The airplanes are new, with new technology"

Nadelen: "I paid for the baby basket service but the airline only gave me the adult seat on the basket row, regardless that I was travelling with my wife. Due to that I had to ask the crew to help me to find a passenger willing to change seat with my wife so that she could travel next to my baby boy"
Nadelen: "Lost my luggage. Could've taken an earlier flight.."
Nadelen: "My wife and I had a 3 hour, 15 minute delay because of a hydraulic issue. I understand that this needed to be repaired or checked out. However, it would have been helpful to have received periodic updates from the crew about what was happening. We went for over an hour without knowing what was going to happen while we sat on the plane."

Some kind soul, (the nice young lady who checked us in at the airport perhaps?) assigned us two seats together near the front in economy plus. We really enjoyed those spacious, convenient seats! Also, the entertainment (movies) were free and recent."
Nadelen: "Honestly, nothing. This was one of our best flights home from Europe with United."

Nadelen: "Jammed full, not enough overhead bin storage. Too many people allowed to bring on WAY too much as carry-on. Badly managed. Wasn't Lufthansa, was a code share on a United flight. Wish it was Lufthansa, which is what the ticket originally was supposed to be. Bait and switch!"
Voordelen: "Very well-run flight. Crew was on top of everything. Very cheery."
Nadelen: "Boarding could have been better. If you have 5 groups you should have 5 lines — not 2. Also the terminal in Holland was extraordinarily cold."

Voordelen: "It was nice and smooth. The crew was great, especially Urere, our stewardess. Comfort and food were good, on par with the nickel diming of airlines."

Voordelen: "The availability of media to watch on the long overseas flight was helpful to avoid boredom."
Nadelen: "Flight attendants passed out headsets to hear the media, my set was missing one of the foam ear pads. When I called it to the attention of a flight attendant, she took my set and did not return with one, causing me to search out my telephone headset."

Voordelen: "For the most part the staff made an attempt to help me get onto a flight. I think."
Nadelen: "I had to go on my trip a few days later due to a work conflict. I never changed my itinerary because I didn’t think it mattered. I bought a new one way ticket on a different airline and went to get on my return flight that I had paid for and was still receiving emails about. I got to the airport to check in for my return flight and it had been canceled because I didn’t get on the first leg. I was never notified and they couldn’t get me on the flight I wanted because it was leaving in less than hour(which is a stupid rule). And to get me on a flight the next day would cost $2500. No thanks. And before anyone tells me that it’s in the fine print that they cancel a flight if you don’t show up, save it. We all know people don’t read all that. Be a human being. So if your plans change, make sure you officially change your plans, because they may go above, but probably not beyond. Oh and it took quite a long time for them to figure out what happened. If they had realized and I didn’t spend so much time on the phone with customer service, I might’ve been outside the hour window requirement."

Nadelen: "Being bussed a long way out to the airplane made us depart late. Very inefficient handling by the staff. They should have started earlier. This has never happened to me before on United. What has happened?"
Voordelen: "Trying to get all of our seats (3) together"
Voordelen: "The staff were super attentive, they kept walking down the aisle with cups of water and interacted with the passengers throughout the flight. The crew seemed to work very well together, I could sense a great harmony between them that really put all of us passengers at ease. I am quick to complain about US carriers and have had some awful experiences flying US airline companies, so feel the need to really compliment this crew. If other United flights are like this, I will definitely fly them again."
Voordelen: "Great service, onboard entertainment, comfortable and got in early"

Nadelen: "United switched the aircraft shortly before takeoff and reassigned me to an uncomfortable aisle seat in the last row of the middle section of the plane. The seats were dingy, the back-of-seat TV monitors were grainy and of poor quality, the headphone jack for audio was old and not fully functioning."
Nadelen: "United's flight was delayed by 6 hours, couldn't make the connecting flight from Washington DC to Denver so they routed me to san francisco, spend the night at the airport there and then travel to Denver in the morning. Fortunately there was a very helpful crew in Schiphol that was able to get us on a flight with american airlines to philadelphia and then on to Denver."
Voordelen: "I like that it was through United Airline, which I’m a member of so I got to board a littler earlier"
Nadelen: "The food could have been better. Everything had cheese which I don’t eat."
Nadelen: "United crew was so rude. It was very apparent they were annoyed and burnt out from their jobs. I even overhead a crew member making a rude comment about me to another crew member. All I did was ask a question, and apparently it was a stupid one. Made me appreciate my flight to Amsterdam on Swiss even more than I aready did!"
Nadelen: "I was unable to go on the flight because of the extraordinarily high cost of changing a last name from a maiden name to a married name. I was so disappointed by the service."
Voordelen: "Good price."
Nadelen: "It took you 4 days for you to get back to me with the confirmation number after I had requested it via e-mail. Also, you should note Lufthansa-issued documents never commence with "220-" and then the subsequent numbers. Lufthansa tickets are always issued with "2220-" at the beginning and then the subsequent numbers. You need to update your computers otherwise with the original Lufthansa-issued ticket number you provide at time of booking, the booking will not show up in Lufthansa systems."
Voordelen: "Due to a knee injury, I needed more personal assistance, the custermer service & attention I received was EXCELLENT - from being expedited through the check in, special luggage assistance, special seat selection, wheelchair assistance throughout the security & boarding process to the professionalism by ALL the crew after being diverted to Iceland for a medical emergency of a fellow passenger."
Nadelen: "Because of the medical emergency & being diverted to Iceland, the flight time was extended by close to 4 1/2 hrs. The snacks/"food" provided were definitely insufficient."
Voordelen: "Good leg room."

Nadelen: "It was a small aircraft that had very narrow seats and outdated tiny screens. Also wifi entertainment did not work. It was like flying in the 1970s, but more crowded! Oh well. We got to chicago in one piece and in time and that's the most important. Polaris and business class looked great though."
Voordelen: "I did like that it was pretty fast"
Nadelen: "Crew was rude, super unfriendly and not understanding with my toddler"
Nadelen: "Plane sat on rinway in Newark. For 4 hours before takeoff with no explanation provided. I miissed my connection to Dubrovnik. I was flown from munich to frankfurt and then to zagreb. I was put up in a very low class hotel. I aarived in dubrovnik at noon the following day. This caused me great anxiety and aggravation and a losd of a full day of vacation."
Nadelen: "I think Kayak wasn't clear that Lufhansa and United are partners....all that Kayak put on my ticket was United. When I went to JFK I could not find United international and the airport info people said it's Lufhatnasa and then when I went to Schipol airport and went to Lufhtansa they said there is a United international check in. Kayak cost me a lot of walking and delays because they were not clear on what airline out of which airport."
Voordelen: "I liked nothing"
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed an additional 3 hours on a 2 hour layover. We left 5 hours later. It was exhausting! worst airline ever. I will never fly united again."

Nadelen: "No USB charge connectors/power outlets (integral these days on a long international flight). The quality of in seat tv screen is mediocre - best to watch on your own device (but then you need the USB connection that is missing on this flight). The wifi kept on dropping in the plane (both ways). The food is not as good as served on other airlines and they ran out of dishes both ways and we did not have choices and had to eat what was available (which was not good either). Should indicate on seat selection when making purchase if there will be items below seat such as metal boxes that will limit legroom more than for other seats. I was placed at such a seat both ways, and had no legroom for over 8 hrs each way. :/"
Nadelen: "there weren't any movie options. the crew put on three or four movies that started and ended at their own designated time."
Voordelen: "I like the crew. They were very friendly and great."
Nadelen: "The entertainment was terrible. On the way to Amsterdam, it was an old TV that had a few channels that looped the same thing over and over again. On the way back to Washington, DC, the TV didn't work."
Nadelen: "there was no in-flight entertainment for the duration of the flight."
Voordelen: "Eventually they moved us through realizing they were going to have an empty plane if they didn't"
Nadelen: "Terrible check in. Thought I reserved a seat on Lufthansa only to find out that United changed it."
Voordelen: "The crew was very attentive and the service was above and beyond. Boarding was timely. The entertainment choices were top notch and as it was an overnight flight, the care taken to be respectful of sleeping passengers was great."

Nadelen: "One flight attendant was very grumpy--he just wanted to sit and play on his phone. He was brusque with people. The other man (who was learning French) made up for him by being nice"
Voordelen: "The first leg of this flight was excellent. Good crew, excellent service, great entertainment centers, comfortable seating, enough room in aisle to allow movement. The second leg of our journey ( From D.C. to Seattle) was another story."
Voordelen: "the United app that let me watch movies from my own device. The flight attendant gave me an extra blanket."
Nadelen: "the plane was very old and didn't have the entertainment options that newer planes have. The screen was so small and nearly impossible to see when the person in front of me reclined. The toilets weren't very clean. The food was very mediocre. I have a dairy intolerance, and both options contained dairy products. There was no lactose free or diabetic special meal option. There was an hour and a half delay to repair something on the plane when we made an emergency medical landing in Boston. I didn't mind the landing; I minded the excessive delay and wonder what would have happened if we didn't stop in Boston? What would have happened to the plan?"
Voordelen: "On broading support was outstanding. As this was our first international trip we appreaciated all the help provided. The food was excellent as well as comp drinks."
Nadelen: "Could not see outside the plane. Maybe camera pointing below the airplane and its signal feed into the television channel.."
Voordelen: "The crew were very friendly and helpful!"
Nadelen: "It took WAY too long to check bags."
Nadelen: "I required a wheelchair from gate to gate, on each gate I had to ask for it a few times, regardless that it said so in the computer. On one departure i bearly made as we ran really late. United reps seems kind of moody. Waiting for so eone to pick me up last minute made for a really stressful trip."
Voordelen: "ONLY 3 OF 10 CHECK IN DESKS OPEN FOR 250 PEOPLE. TOOK OVER 90 MINUTES."
Voordelen: "The service was outstanding. There was a lot of space between the seats. A lot of movies to choose and the best part you don't have to pay for it. Nothing like other airlines. This is the best by far!"
Voordelen: "Food was not great. Not enough recline in economy to really get any rest."
Voordelen: "Overall the flight was good."
Nadelen: "I was a little disappointed when I discovered the weight limit for carry one was so much more restrictive than other major carriers. The seats did not feel as comfortable on the Liftansa flight as the United flight."
