Nadelen: "We booked our plane reservations through Kayak . My sister booked my reservation along with hers at the same time. Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

Nadelen: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Nadelen: "Leg room in economy is inadequate for international flights. Seats had no cushion left in seat bottoms. It was like sitting on cement."

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."
Voordelen: "Crew was beyond standard. Very nice and friendly and always accommodating."
Nadelen: "They ran out of vegetarian meals."

Nadelen: "My ticket didn't specifically say I'm not allowed to have check-in luggage, so I needed to pay extra for that. I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"
Voordelen: "Seats comfortable. Decent legroom. Crew pleasant. Food was very good especially for a very short flight."
Nadelen: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."
Voordelen: "Our flight out of Amsterdam was roughly 30 minutes late. Since we were connecting to an International flight to return to the US there was no possibility we would be able to get to the International terminal through security and board our flight in the time available. So, Lufthansa staff met the connecting passengers as we disembarked, shuttled us via bus to the International terminal and ensured we made our connection. Finally, for airline food it was quite good (Vegan)."

Nadelen: "The check in process was a nightmare at Amsterdam airport. Partly due to the not being able to check bag straight through, multiple visits to counters, long lines for dropping off bag, and in ability to check in on line or on app from either Lufthansa or United. Each site said visit the other site."
Voordelen: "Not too late. Older 767-400 planes are not comfortable but are reliable."
Nadelen: "Amsterdam airport Schiphol is among the very worst in Europe. I will never fly thru Amsterdam again. Truly miserable experience despite being a Business class traveler. The United crew was mediocre at best. Food was not good. Disappointing."

Nadelen: "Boarding could have been better. If you have 5 groups you should have 5 lines — not 2. Also the terminal in Holland was extraordinarily cold."

Voordelen: "It was nice and smooth. The crew was great, especially Urere, our stewardess. Comfort and food were good, on par with the nickel diming of airlines."

Voordelen: "The availability of media to watch on the long overseas flight was helpful to avoid boredom."
Nadelen: "Flight attendants passed out headsets to hear the media, my set was missing one of the foam ear pads. When I called it to the attention of a flight attendant, she took my set and did not return with one, causing me to search out my telephone headset."

Voordelen: "For the most part the staff made an attempt to help me get onto a flight. I think."
Nadelen: "I had to go on my trip a few days later due to a work conflict. I never changed my itinerary because I didn’t think it mattered. I bought a new one way ticket on a different airline and went to get on my return flight that I had paid for and was still receiving emails about. I got to the airport to check in for my return flight and it had been canceled because I didn’t get on the first leg. I was never notified and they couldn’t get me on the flight I wanted because it was leaving in less than hour(which is a stupid rule). And to get me on a flight the next day would cost $2500. No thanks. And before anyone tells me that it’s in the fine print that they cancel a flight if you don’t show up, save it. We all know people don’t read all that. Be a human being. So if your plans change, make sure you officially change your plans, because they may go above, but probably not beyond. Oh and it took quite a long time for them to figure out what happened. If they had realized and I didn’t spend so much time on the phone with customer service, I might’ve been outside the hour window requirement."

Nadelen: "Being bussed a long way out to the airplane made us depart late. Very inefficient handling by the staff. They should have started earlier. This has never happened to me before on United. What has happened?"
Voordelen: "Trying to get all of our seats (3) together"
Nadelen: "Nothing"
Voordelen: "The staff were super attentive, they kept walking down the aisle with cups of water and interacted with the passengers throughout the flight. The crew seemed to work very well together, I could sense a great harmony between them that really put all of us passengers at ease. I am quick to complain about US carriers and have had some awful experiences flying US airline companies, so feel the need to really compliment this crew. If other United flights are like this, I will definitely fly them again."
Voordelen: "Great service, onboard entertainment, comfortable and got in early"

Nadelen: "United switched the aircraft shortly before takeoff and reassigned me to an uncomfortable aisle seat in the last row of the middle section of the plane. The seats were dingy, the back-of-seat TV monitors were grainy and of poor quality, the headphone jack for audio was old and not fully functioning."
Nadelen: "United's flight was delayed by 6 hours, couldn't make the connecting flight from Washington DC to Denver so they routed me to san francisco, spend the night at the airport there and then travel to Denver in the morning. Fortunately there was a very helpful crew in Schiphol that was able to get us on a flight with american airlines to philadelphia and then on to Denver."
Voordelen: "I like that it was through United Airline, which I’m a member of so I got to board a littler earlier"
Nadelen: "The food could have been better. Everything had cheese which I don’t eat."
Nadelen: "United crew was so rude. It was very apparent they were annoyed and burnt out from their jobs. I even overhead a crew member making a rude comment about me to another crew member. All I did was ask a question, and apparently it was a stupid one. Made me appreciate my flight to Amsterdam on Swiss even more than I aready did!"
Nadelen: "I was unable to go on the flight because of the extraordinarily high cost of changing a last name from a maiden name to a married name. I was so disappointed by the service."
Voordelen: "Good price."
Nadelen: "It took you 4 days for you to get back to me with the confirmation number after I had requested it via e-mail. Also, you should note Lufthansa-issued documents never commence with "220-" and then the subsequent numbers. Lufthansa tickets are always issued with "2220-" at the beginning and then the subsequent numbers. You need to update your computers otherwise with the original Lufthansa-issued ticket number you provide at time of booking, the booking will not show up in Lufthansa systems."
Voordelen: "Due to a knee injury, I needed more personal assistance, the custermer service & attention I received was EXCELLENT - from being expedited through the check in, special luggage assistance, special seat selection, wheelchair assistance throughout the security & boarding process to the professionalism by ALL the crew after being diverted to Iceland for a medical emergency of a fellow passenger."
Nadelen: "Because of the medical emergency & being diverted to Iceland, the flight time was extended by close to 4 1/2 hrs. The snacks/"food" provided were definitely insufficient."
Nadelen: "Lufthansa was not good at all and different from what I have seen some years ago, it is going down"
Voordelen: "Good leg room."

Voordelen: "Next day flight was very good and the crew was professional and apologetic for the delay"
Nadelen: "The long delay of 20 hrs, which was poorly announced, only 4-5 hours in advance and innacurate: initially announced as 10 hours delay, then re-announced with another departure time, this time 20 hours delay. The staff at United did a poor job in trying to find other flight to Washington."

Nadelen: "It was a small aircraft that had very narrow seats and outdated tiny screens. Also wifi entertainment did not work. It was like flying in the 1970s, but more crowded! Oh well. We got to chicago in one piece and in time and that's the most important. Polaris and business class looked great though."
Nadelen: "Plane sat on rinway in Newark. For 4 hours before takeoff with no explanation provided. I miissed my connection to Dubrovnik. I was flown from munich to frankfurt and then to zagreb. I was put up in a very low class hotel. I aarived in dubrovnik at noon the following day. This caused me great anxiety and aggravation and a losd of a full day of vacation."
Nadelen: "Air temperature was too warm which caused nausea."
Nadelen: "I think Kayak wasn't clear that Lufhansa and United are partners....all that Kayak put on my ticket was United. When I went to JFK I could not find United international and the airport info people said it's Lufhatnasa and then when I went to Schipol airport and went to Lufhtansa they said there is a United international check in. Kayak cost me a lot of walking and delays because they were not clear on what airline out of which airport."
Voordelen: "I liked nothing"
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed an additional 3 hours on a 2 hour layover. We left 5 hours later. It was exhausting! worst airline ever. I will never fly united again."

Nadelen: "No USB charge connectors/power outlets (integral these days on a long international flight). The quality of in seat tv screen is mediocre - best to watch on your own device (but then you need the USB connection that is missing on this flight). The wifi kept on dropping in the plane (both ways). The food is not as good as served on other airlines and they ran out of dishes both ways and we did not have choices and had to eat what was available (which was not good either). Should indicate on seat selection when making purchase if there will be items below seat such as metal boxes that will limit legroom more than for other seats. I was placed at such a seat both ways, and had no legroom for over 8 hrs each way. :/"
Nadelen: "there weren't any movie options. the crew put on three or four movies that started and ended at their own designated time."
Nadelen: "there was no in-flight entertainment for the duration of the flight."
Voordelen: "Eventually they moved us through realizing they were going to have an empty plane if they didn't"
Nadelen: "Terrible check in. Thought I reserved a seat on Lufthansa only to find out that United changed it."

Nadelen: "One flight attendant was very grumpy--he just wanted to sit and play on his phone. He was brusque with people. The other man (who was learning French) made up for him by being nice"
Voordelen: "The first leg of this flight was excellent. Good crew, excellent service, great entertainment centers, comfortable seating, enough room in aisle to allow movement. The second leg of our journey ( From D.C. to Seattle) was another story."
Voordelen: "the United app that let me watch movies from my own device. The flight attendant gave me an extra blanket."
Nadelen: "the plane was very old and didn't have the entertainment options that newer planes have. The screen was so small and nearly impossible to see when the person in front of me reclined. The toilets weren't very clean. The food was very mediocre. I have a dairy intolerance, and both options contained dairy products. There was no lactose free or diabetic special meal option. There was an hour and a half delay to repair something on the plane when we made an emergency medical landing in Boston. I didn't mind the landing; I minded the excessive delay and wonder what would have happened if we didn't stop in Boston? What would have happened to the plan?"

Voordelen: "Boarding was a bit crowded and hectic. The food was good as was the service. We had tons of entertainment options."
Nadelen: "Checking in in Amsterdam was a nightmare. Long lines everywhere. They can't handle the volume of passengers efficiently"

Nadelen: "I required a wheelchair from gate to gate, on each gate I had to ask for it a few times, regardless that it said so in the computer. On one departure i bearly made as we ran really late. United reps seems kind of moody. Waiting for so eone to pick me up last minute made for a really stressful trip."
Voordelen: "The crew was very nice and professional. They sat me in the last roll on the left with 2 seats. I could not recline the seat and I had to travel sitting up right all the way from Spain to Brazil. Horrible!"
Nadelen: "They should have offered the empty seats to the passenger as soon the plane closed to take off."
Nadelen: "Food options and number of times meals are served could be improved."

Nadelen: "They didn’t even give water without charging for it. Water is a basic need The hidden baggage fees. I was informed at checkin that I wasn’t allowed a checked bag from Amsterdam via Madrid to Miami. It is the first time I have ever flown internationally where you don’t get 1 bag at least to check in. The. The fee was €150 one way to check a bag. I feel that the airport should have disclosed more clearly that the fair did not include luggage. I can understand for some short haul flights people can choose to take luggage but international long haul is just heap and dishonest"

Nadelen: "Checkin was a chaos, different cues and no signs explaining where, crew arrived nonchalant and did bot give specific instructions or tried to appease the excalating situation among passengers cueing for a long time"

Voordelen: "Left on time, arrived early, and the price is good."
Nadelen: "The food is not very good, the attention is not very good, the luggage arrived late, it just wasn't like other times I have travel with you."
Voordelen: "No frills, had a laptop based entertainment system."
Nadelen: "Food was just OK."
Voordelen: "The seats had a power station so I could charge electronics in flight. Boarding was quick."
Nadelen: "We took off 30 minutes late without an explanation. The crew never spoke to me or asked if I needed anything. I was bumped many times by crew members as they walked past."
Voordelen: "The boarding was fast and flight left on time"
Nadelen: "The crew was not very attentive. We asked for cup of water several times until they finally brought it. They gave us the feeling that we are bothering them..."

Nadelen: "Seats too narrow. No individual TVs, no entertainment, not even a music channel available."
Voordelen: "Overall the flight was fine."
Nadelen: "My connection in Madrid was bad. I arrived at gate E82 and had to get to A8. Terminals are laid out sequentially and it was quite a walk, with a passport check before the B terminal. Even with an hour and a half layover I had no time to spare going straight there."
Nadelen: "Really uncomfortable airplane with painful seats. Entertainment system (and airplane as a whole) was very outdated. Take off and landing were awful--it seemed like the pilot didn't know what he/she was doing."
Nadelen: "Every flight was at least an hour delayed. We were insanely late for our connection flight due to a totally unnecessary delay at the first airport. We then SPRINTED across the whole Madrid airport and then when we arrived to second plane was TWO HOURS delayed. The staff always seemed to be working, but was completely inefficient in getting anything done. It took them 20 minutes to respond to our notice (we pressed the air attendant button on our seats) and then told us we couldn't get snacks because they were giving out pizzas, which took another hour. Every single part of our flight was delayed and inefficient... with no reason ever being given. It was pretty miserable overall and I will likely never use Air Europa ever again."
Voordelen: "It was an ok flight."
Nadelen: "The line at the airport, there were no tv for movies or entertainment of any kind (besides paying for an iPad or internet), and the chair didnt laid back."
Voordelen: "Easy boarding"
Nadelen: "Crew skipped us for dinner but when we pointed it out they came back. But they skipped us again for water/drinks."
Nadelen: "No teníannTV!!"
Voordelen: "Nothing."
Nadelen: "I bought 2 tickets at the same time for me and my wife and the sat us separately 10 rows apart from each other. Its stupid they dont let you choose your own seats. Also paying for the bag was another long process and had to go to 3 sepparate counters because Air Europa required a different procedure. Pilots necer announced upcomig turbulence and the landing was horrible. Old and uncomfortable seatbelts. Ive been on 3 flights this week and this was by far the worst. Wont be flying Air Europa in the future."
Voordelen: "Crew was very pleasant and helpful; I forgot to put my seat up n they got me straight with a big smile!! Makes a difference how you correct people. Plane looked fresh n clean And had pillows n blankets, didn't have to ask for one. Four smooth landings!! Thank you for a great trip"
Nadelen: "Tight squeeze sitting"
Voordelen: "Everything was just perfect. I will flight with them again."
Nadelen: "Space between seats very uncomfortable. Planes very old."
Voordelen: "No major delays"
Nadelen: "MAD to BCN leg. Slow boarding..Only one unenthusiastic attendant checking boarding passes. Obviously very tied. On board crew statue like. Little enthusiasm."
Voordelen: "Food was good."
Nadelen: "Not on par with competitors when it comes to the technology on the plane. No tv, no phone charger which is common now and this flight had neither."
Nadelen: "The flight was supposed to leave at 10:05pm. It was inexplicably delayed to 10:35- not a big deal BUT we didn't take off until a little before midnight. We sat on the Tarmac with the bright lights on in the cabin for over an hour (I asked if they could dim or turn off the lights and was given a surrly look by the flight attendant). Boarding was a mess with little method but they did allow families with children on early. Exhausted, with toddler in tow, I was excited for the plane to get going to turn the lights off but no, first there was dinner service. Really? At 1am? Finally, lights out at 1:45 and we could sleep only to be awoken 2 hours before landing with breakfast service. And they weren't even quiet about it. There were no individual tvs in coach and the wifi doesn't allow any streaming (plus it's $50 for the flight) Can't wait for the 6 hour flight back"
Nadelen: "Impossible to confirm flight online. Seat assignments split us up, including our children When we were finally able to be seated together it was 3 in last row an one in 2nd to last where attendants kept bumping into seats, making noise etc. 9 year old son's monitor didn't work after we bought headset. Took many hours and multiple requests for assistance and refund. Crew left 9 year old son off of flight manifest resulting in his detainment by homeland security st JFK."
Voordelen: "Very good service! The best and nicest flight attendats ever! Good food and drink service!!!"
Nadelen: "The airport terminal in Barajas has nothing to offer compared to other terminals! I wished the airplane could offer individual access for flight entertainment!very good service"
Voordelen: "Lunch and dinners and service was better in this fly compare to my last 2 trips same fly itirenary"
Nadelen: "Snacks (breakfast or PM snack) Also this is the 3rd fly that I take in las 15 months and alwyas de plug on the seats are either damage or do not operate. 3 out of 3. Please conduct an assesment of your PM verification"
