Went to the wrong gate for my connecting flight, Turkish air rep at the gate checked my boarding pass, didn't say a word about me being at the wrong gate. Tgere was no announcement of any kind (found out later, Turkish sir doesn't do announcement at the Istanbul airport. No clue as to why). Thought, tgere was another delay and by the time I asked, it was too late to catch my flight and that's when I got a full dose of every single person w Turkish air trying to stiff me with the most outrageous penalty for changing Nguyen my ticket. Started out at $1114 on a $758 ticket, then went down to $925 and if I stay over night, down to $750. Seriously? Rude, talking down at me and telling me that if I don't pay the penalty, my return ticket will be cancelled. I keep getting bounced from one person to another being told to wait here and wait there then I finally got so sick of all of it, bought a new connecting flight online, spending the night in Istanbul and will see what will happen w my return flight to the US. I call this 'theft' as, if i buy an entire new ticket from Istanbul to Cairo then back to the US online, it will cost me less than the penalty they're trying to get me to pay. Shame on you Turkish airline!! You'd think w all the issues they're having w tourism in their country these days they'd care about not doing this kind of mistreatment of their clients."

Nadelen: "Long boarding time from Amsterdam to Istanbul. No explanation of delay and THY wants you to wait miserably on gate. On Schipol airport there is screens everywhere and they do not bother to update the status of boarding. Instead, they behave like everything is normal you are the person making the problem."

Nadelen: "So far, it has been a horrendous experience with Turkish Airlines. Airlines don't know how to handle uncertain situation, whole system collapses. Total disaster!!!!"

Nadelen: "We booked our plane reservations through Kayak . My sister booked my reservation along with hers at the same time. Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Voordelen: "The premium economy clas was wonderful. All of the amenities, comfort, room made a long trip far more enjoyable. The crew was right there to help me get to the next gate."
Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

Nadelen: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Voordelen: "Air dolomiti - great service, prosecco in a real glass and with small sandwich provided."

Voordelen: "Afterall I did get rice iso pasta."
Nadelen: "Cold. My chair was bumped because us was just a little bit broader in the gangway than the other chairs. (54c) There is no possebility fot ordering foid for me: diet is without grains at all and without sugar at all."

Nadelen: "Checked online from row 21 to 6. Got a new ticket whilst boarding to 25: last row. Explanation...otherwise the plane was not able to go in the air...absolute bullshit. With my weight and of my fellow members better to let us in the front.. Row 6 was given to a miles & more client..."

Voordelen: "Food and beverage service was excellent on these Star Allisnce international flights booked by United but operated by Lufthansa."
Nadelen: "Leg room in economy is inadequate for international flights. Seats had no cushion left in seat bottoms. It was like sitting on cement."

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."

Voordelen: "Crew was beyond standard. Very nice and friendly and always accommodating."
Nadelen: "They ran out of vegetarian meals."

Nadelen: "My ticket didn't specifically say I'm not allowed to have check-in luggage, so I needed to pay extra for that. I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"

Voordelen: "Seats comfortable. Decent legroom. Crew pleasant. Food was very good especially for a very short flight."
Nadelen: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."

Voordelen: "Our flight out of Amsterdam was roughly 30 minutes late. Since we were connecting to an International flight to return to the US there was no possibility we would be able to get to the International terminal through security and board our flight in the time available. So, Lufthansa staff met the connecting passengers as we disembarked, shuttled us via bus to the International terminal and ensured we made our connection. Finally, for airline food it was quite good (Vegan)."

Nadelen: "Передзамовлена їжа - непідігрітий бургер, який було так запаяно, що неможливо просто розкрити руками. На смак - гаразд, аби перекусити, та не варто мати високих очікувань. Персоналу варто попрацювати над вимовою в оголошеннях. Дещо затиналися й не звучало впевнено й офіційно."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed over 8 hours in leaving Kiev. The plane was old and the business class was not as pictured when booking. I'll never fly with Ukraine ever again"

Nadelen: "I booked seat near window but was given middle seat I don’t like this way..."

Nadelen: "I’ve waited for 2 hours into the flight to get a cup of water . And an hour more to buy a bottle of water. Staff was not nice ."

Voordelen: "Nothing. This airline is the worst. Treatment is horrible, the people at the front desks are rude to everyone and they treat customers in a very unfair way and rude condescending manner and threatened me and another two not to allow us to get on the flight because of their “sudden rules change”."
Nadelen: "The employee’s could be better at treating people. They are the rudest ever. They could offer more than a cup of water on the flight."

Nadelen: "Airplane seemed outdated, with no individual televisions, and some strange movie selections, which I could not see over the seat/hair in front of me. The flight was very long, so individual entertainment would have made the time pass a little more quickly. The main meal entree was okay, but the bun and brownie was stale. The snack was inedible, despite being quite hungry (stale bun with very little chicken, no seasoning or lettuce or mayo, very dry). Did not see the crew very much after the initial meal was served, but that was okay as I did not require assistance."

Nadelen: "Hit with extra fees for check-in."

Nadelen: "Flight was horrible from Ukraine to NY, first of all our original flight was cancelled, when call nobody would pick up the phone, and when we got to Ukraine not only we stayed there all day but then without any explanation around 6PM we were advised that plane will be delayed, people very unprofessional, rude, and cocky. They didn't accommodate us in any way, then would put us online in order to give "kosher food" and instead of food they gave us cold non-kosher sandwiches and non-eatable bad bag of fruits ...... really..... It really reminded me the time of world war II. Another situation I had when I bought liquid at Duty Free store and the cashier just put the purchase in open bag at the Ukraine check point they wouldn't let us take our purchase cause it wasn't sealed, eventhough I showed them the receipt showing that I bought it at Duty Free, the bag needed to be ONLY sealed and security refused it, we had no choice but to through everything out. Finally we got our plane ready around 11PM but when we got into the plane the first thought came to our mind if we will make it to NY, cause plane looked like they took it from the junk, seats were broken, handles were out from screws and they were moving and sits were very tight. How you expect people to sit at these sits without moving for 10 hours...???? You don't need a horror movie it was real...... Never I will fly with that airline again and would not suggest to anybody. I strongly believe that I'm not the only one who will give you or already did a survey like that cause they were really horrible."

Nadelen: "On two separate occasions did they add extra fees to my flight dishonestly. The ticket agent fraudulently tried to charge me for two passes when I was flying solo and I was charged for both checked bags when one should have been free. I did not contest this as I didn't want to miss my flight. It seems to be a very dishonest airline and best to be avoided if at all possible."

Voordelen: "Crew was fantastic - very accommodating"
Nadelen: "The seats did not recline as well - so for such a long flight, your legs are still dangling down-making it uncomfortable. Looking forward to trying business class on Ukraine Air's new 777"

Nadelen: "There were more delays with this flight as well. I ended up traveling for about 19 hours with all the delays instead of just 11/12 it was exhausting."

Nadelen: "No priority boarding in Kiev. I had to ask to be let through the queue of people and claim the priority boarding. I was not able to check-in early enough to get a seat I wanted. 10 days before for my first flight and only. 24 hours before my 2nd. Pathetic."

Voordelen: "Direct flight"
Nadelen: "I was booking a regular flight however, i was charged extra 50€ for one peice"

Voordelen: "The plane was clean and the crew was v competent. We landed safely."
Nadelen: "The plane is an older model, nowhere to charge a phone. They showed movies on screens over the middle seats. When we took off it was so choppy I thought we were going to crash or have to turn around. Landing was also rough and left me nauseated for the first time in years. We took off late and landed late."

Voordelen: "Flight was ok"
Nadelen: "except seats too close together and the food sold wasn't very tasty. Or plentiful. Mostly bread. Be nice if they boards by rows"

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were nice and hard-working yet providing no explanation for switching my seat three times."
Nadelen: "The boarding was poorly organized. My assigned seat was changed THREE TIMES!!!!! from the isle and the window into the middle row. I did not like that at all. This is the last time I am using the Ukraine International Airlines."

Voordelen: "flight was on time"
Nadelen: "this flight was sold as a normal economy class flight including 1 checked bag. in reality it was sold as a hand baggage only one way fare and a economy with baggage on the return. like that makes any sense. you going to buy luggage and things to fly bag with??? This was not disclosed on the website, during booking, on the booked reservation or on check in or the boarding pass. Complete and total misrepresentation by Kayak and priceline."

Voordelen: "Crew was nice and doing the best they could"
Nadelen: "Online checkin is required to avoid a fee but the online software is not great"

Voordelen: "Direct flight to/from destination."
Nadelen: "The food (panini) for purchase was all bread"

Voordelen: "The plane was in great condition, the crew was extremely nice"
Nadelen: "The boarding was terrible, small area to pack all people waiting for the bus, the bus was overfilled, too."

Nadelen: "My parents have to pay $80 for baggage."

Voordelen: "I like their food that they served because they were fresh and warm."
Nadelen: "They dont even have a plug that we can charge our phones .Also they dont have a tv .It was a long trip so i must sleep because there was no other option."

Nadelen: "When I came for check in, it came out my baggage is not included into ticket price. There was no indication on my ticket about the baggage and it was written in the rules I may take 21 or 23 kg bag. But airline agent told this rule does not apply and I had to inquire at the airline about the details. It looks strange, I have to buy ticket and then ask what I have actually bought ."

Nadelen: "Flight Kiev Baku late 3 hours nobody came to inform us. Asymmetric luggage - payed one way only. Angry faces."

Voordelen: "The employees seemed to like their job and were polite"

Voordelen: "Leg room"
Nadelen: "Good was horrendous, staff weren't very friendly and for a 7 hour flight 1 screen for everyone to watch films with no choice of what was on"

Voordelen: "First of me and my kids were left stranded when the ladies at the gate doing the check in told us our flight was for the next day, we had to sleep on the airport seats since we couldnt go out of the airport to get a hotel, also they were very rude to all the customers including an amputee, we finally boarded the flight the next day, got to new york and our suitcase was missing. Very horrible experience never flying this airline ever again. I regret using this airline."
Nadelen: "Everything this about this airline was very bad. Bad timing, horrible food, terrible sitting condition. Landed 45 minutes late."

Nadelen: "There was no Sky Priority line for check in, the lounge does not open until the flight is boarding."

Voordelen: "I liked the crew, they were one of the best I've ever seen."
Nadelen: "The ground staff in Kiev, they refused to help us with an issue. They were very rood, they treated us in a bad way. They aircraft was very old as well."

Voordelen: "The flights left on time. Connection via Kiev was comfortable as it was in the same terminal, and was a relatively short walk. KLM code shares with UIA so that says alot. Stewards were nice."
Nadelen: "The seats on most planes were fine. On one of them, they were a bit shallow and we slid off them. Not terrible."

Nadelen: "They changed the default of including baggage fee into the ticket price, which was a surprise. In my return flight I had to pay for what I didn't pay when flying "there"."

Voordelen: "Smooth flight and on time."
Nadelen: "Cramped seating, old seats with no amenities like personal viewing screen and USB charging. Dirty toilets and a general rundown appearance. Unless they make better pricing and appearance I will use another airline."

Nadelen: "I booked flight on Ukrainian Airways. While booking there was no option to select a baggage and i couldn't think that the fee would not include it. I came up paying extra 120USD. Half of the entire ticket cost!!! Be careful while booking"

Nadelen: "Waited in heat inside airplane for more than hour waiting for exit to take off."

Nadelen: "There was no food, everything paid, even that we had a 30 minute delay."

Voordelen: "Stewardess were polite and kind"
Nadelen: "Cabin far too hot. Plane was old and showing its age."

Nadelen: "How comes i am in transit and they stopp me and make a lot of troubles because i have no visa?? And after they made deporting paper to sign ??? It was really stupid thing ,, if i am in transit and i should have visa ??"

Voordelen: "On-time, no hassle or problems, not a lot of fuss or commotion like the bigger airlines, I think by them not serving food, it actually is a better atmosphere, can’t explain it, but totally felt light and not too problematic during both flights, jeddah to Istanbul and then again from Istanbul to Sara"
Nadelen: "Maybe, some entertainment???? But still a good flight even without it."

Voordelen: "Really easy experience - friendly, organized, on time and a great price!"

Nadelen: "The boarding Schdule"

Nadelen: "I went to ataturk airport be mistake then I went directly to sabiha airport before the flight 45 min they gegusos stuff did not allow me to get in the plane!!!"

Voordelen: "Friendly staff. Comfortable plane"
Nadelen: "Delayed but only 15 min"

Voordelen: "The flight was ok"
Nadelen: "My husband and son both ordered a wheel chair because I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia and when I arrived in turkey they said there was no order for one. I walked through the airport at a snails PA e and since I arrived I have been very sick."

Voordelen: "The flight was on time and pilots provided on time updates."
Nadelen: "Check-in took 45 minutes. Some passengers cut into the front of the line and airline employees did not do anything about it."

Voordelen: "Got to Barcelona eventually"
Nadelen: "One hour 15 min late, gate officers did not update, screen kept saying 40 min delay even after sitting at the gate for one hour. It was hot, humid, every one was sweating. Least they could have done was to offer free water after making us wait for one hour 15 min in hot weather."

Voordelen: "None"
Nadelen: "This is an international flight and the airline didn't even provide complimentary water or soft drinks"

Nadelen: "1 hour delay nearly cost me my connection no assistance provided"

Nadelen: "Never in time and the POS machine on board never works with debit cards or cards without PIN code .... it didn’t work with more than half of the passengers on board!!! Oh they also charged me 47 euros for just 4 kgs of extra weight!!! Unacceptable !"

Nadelen: "They stole my money"

Voordelen: "Flight started late and even I was threatened not to be boarded and to be moved to a later flight (midnight) because "I had arrived late at the gate" which is twice absurd because: 1st I arrive slightly late - but still on time for the regular borading - only because the previous flight - operated by the same company was LATE 2nd the flight left 1h and 1/2 late, so my delay - if any - in coming at the gate was irrelevant"

Voordelen: "As long as they are reverting a cheap ticket then the service is good"

Nadelen: "I expected to atleast get a glass of water"

Voordelen: "The crew at the airport was incompetant. The service was appalling. I had to wait for over 30 minutes for bag drop off . I was very dissapointed. Also boarding was quite late and pushy"

Voordelen: "All was good but I thing thy need to give food with no pay 3.30 h fly thy need something free"

Voordelen: "The seats are not narrow."
Nadelen: "I am guessing this company does clean their aircraft only once in a while. In both of my flights between Istanbul and Amsterdam, the airplane was not cleaned off of the previous flight's trash. When I was seated in my first flight to Amsterdam, my tray had a lot of stains of food and drinks. Not a pleasant sight! In my flight back to Istanbul, I had to travel looking at a former passenger's waste, such as a used napkin tissue, stuck to the handle of the seat, and a chocolate package. I also have to say that the sinks of the bathrooms do not drain properly, so you, actually, cannot leave the place clean for the next person. All in all, this company definitely needs to work on the cleanliness of their aircraft. Thank you!"

Nadelen: "Poor everything is poor, they are very bad specially the crew when u check in they will let u pay even for the hand baggage extras kg even if u did shopping from the duty free they will let you pay for the weight. The worst crew ever."

Voordelen: "30 minutes late leaving Denzili, but otherwise fine. Denzili airport and easy airport to navigate."

Nadelen: "Everything other than the price. Old plane, supremely uncomfortable. Delayed for an hour."
