On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."

Later that night (night before I was supposed to depart), I received another email saying I was booked on a United flight about 5hrs earlier than I planned on leaving. I had to cancel my morning plans with my wife to make the earlier flight. I never (still, a week later) was able to contact anyone from SAS."

I called to complain and to see if I can get a voucher at least on future trips. I was given a number and when I called it they told me to email my complaint instead. I emailed and got a generic reply saying my email was received and no follow-up. Then I needed to change my return trip because of a last minute emergency. We called SAS and they told us we bought our tickets through a 3rd party and they couldn't tell us who it was. We figured out who they were and was told by this third party that they would have to charge us a minimum of $450 to change the ticket by them, and possibly more by SAS for the price difference. It didn't make any sense to me as to why an airline or a third party would rather waster a ticket since I wasn't able to leave on that day than to try to accommodate us fairly. I don't know who is going to read this email or if it is even going to to the right person. In the slight possibility it does, I would really like an answer to some of my complaints. The flight was good and so was the crew, it is the extra stuff I described above I have an issue with. I travel a lot for work and it would be sad if I had to no longer use your airline because of bad customer service."

Voordelen: "The direct flight makes a difference and leaving from SFO is easy. Boarding was a cinch and it was a pleasant surprise to find a pillow, blanket, and headphones waiting at my seat. Once we were settled in and in the air, it was a pretty comfortable ride. The in flight enteretainment has good content, as long as your console works. Meals were very good and served at good times. There was also plenty of water available at the attendants station throughout the flight. There's no booze offered with meals for free, so if you want a drink you're going to pay for it."
Nadelen: "There were a LOT of families with small children who clearly had never flown or did not like to fly. Despite it being close to the bathrooms, it might be a better option to get seats further away from the doors (the extended legroom also provides space for a hanging crib). I was woken up by crying quite a bit. While the legroom is good, the reclining angle of the seats counters that if you also don't recline your seat. Also check for seats with entertainment boxes under them, as you lose a lot of space to store your things and extend your legs under the seat in front of you."

The flight was full and the cost of checked in luggage ensured everyone used their carry on allowance. As a consequence, overhead bins were full. I left one bag at the front of the plane and had another at my feet. However, it was a short flight, so not too unbearable."

Many of us had a connecting flight with Air Baltic from Riga to Helsinki- which we asked if they will wait for us, the crew member said because the flight was also with Air Baltic, they will wait for us. We got there 10 minutes before take off, and the gate has already closed. Furthermore, we got to the Air Baltic counter, we were given 5Euro meal vouchers even though we will be staying at the Riga airport for 9 hours. Also they gave us terrible customer service attitude, which we definitely do not deserve after being delayed, and causing so much trouble on their behalf. Definitely do not recommend flying with Air Baltic again. I've never been this angry with any air line."

Nadelen: "This airline company looks a like person who is begging for money. First time in my life I paid for the luggage. 40 Euros!!! what for? Apparently Air Baltic has no clue about how to run a service business. Somebody has to teach them this naked reality: IN SERVICE BUSINESS YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE YOUR MAJOR MARKETING ASSETS! They don't even serve a glass of water, apparently they could not manage to integrate it in the ticket price. But they dare to get thirsty and unhappy customers on the plane. Anyways: This airline company is charging extra for luggage. And I could not see this anywhere when I was buying ticket online. If I knew I'd never buy the ticket from Airbaltic. "Not writing it clearly and visible at the time of ticket purchase" is certainly tricking and misleading us. This is a crime!"
Nadelen: "The flight was cancelled, so I did not make to the my connection flight with different carrier. I had to reschedule the flight and stay in the hotel overnight. AirBaltic refused to compensate for my looses due to thair fault, castomer service is very poor, they took refusal position right away. Air Baltic planes are very old and no air conditioning, avoid air Baltic."

Nadelen: "In Stockholm they denied my boarding to Riga and Moscow as they told me that I need Shengen visa. When I was buying ticket I wasn't informed that I need to have Visa. I always travel through Europe with layovers and never have this issue before. I had to buy another ticket straight to Moscow and wait in the airport for 8 hours. I ask to reimburse me half of the price of this ticket."
Voordelen: "Everything was very smooth and the crew was very attentive."

Nadelen: "My only complaints are beyond the position and abilities of the air line or staff - although a few of the flight attendants seemed a bit tired"

It was extremely difficult to even tell if I needed to pay for checked luggage at all, when I tried to login to checkin I got an error that said "A technical error has occured""
Nadelen: "Baggage fees are a total scam. $35 over 24 hours ahead of the flight paid online or $100 at the airport. No where does the ticket tell you this."
Nadelen: "They didn't even serve water in a 7 hour flight if you didn't order a meal."
Voordelen: "Movies were free and food. Food was fine."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed, but no information came from Norwegian. They changed the gate 3 times with a marching of hundreds of people including the flight attendants. Still no information. Three hours after the flight was to take off, we heard that we would be "next", whatever that means. Finally, a plane came to the original gate and we boarded. Then we were told that there was a technical problem with the aircraft. We waited 45 minutes on the plane at the gate. Then we were told to exit the aircraft so that they could "change a flat tire on the aircraft." I kid you not, a flat tire. So as we were exiting, they told us to STAY on the aircraft as they fix the flat tire. We waited another TWO HOURS (three hours in total on the aircraft, seven hours in total late). We arrived nearly EIGHT HOURS LATE in Copenhagen. I understand that things go wrong, but the LACK OF COMMUNICATION by Norwegian Airlines to the hundreds of confused customers is UNACCEPTABLE."

We had to book new flights and missed two days of our vacation because they wouldn't let us board the flight we originally paid for. They also refused to put us on another flight that night."

Nadelen: "They would not allow my friends onto the flight because they were delayed getting in from a connection due to weather. Our flight on Norwegian was delayed 2 hours and had open seats, so i don't know why they wouldn't give them tickets. We tried calling customer service many times and spoke to the people at the check in desks, and they were very rude and told us "too bad." My friends missed the flight and had to rebook a new flight to Europe at an extremely high cost. I will never use this airline again. This was the worst flying experience I've ever had."

Boarden: je word zo snel mogelijk de gate in geveegd en dan mag je daar wachten tot het blijkbaar echt nodig was dat je er was."

The man at the counter that checked our bag was rude and talking to someone else that he worked with almost the entire time he was waiting on us. Won’t be flying with this airline again."

Nadelen: "To start we were told by the check in agent that our carry on luggage would be fine, but then at the gate we were told that our luggage was to big for the overhead bins. We were charged an extra 94 euros so like $120 USD. We get on the plane and people were putting away carry on luggage that were a lot bigger than what we had. I am sure it was because we were Americans.. This was the first and last time I fly with this airline..."

I rated food and entertainment as a 1 as there was no food unless you bought it and there was no in-seat entertainment. These was expected as easyJet is a lower cost airline so just want people to be aware."
Nadelen: "Didn’t like being told just 30 minutes before flight which gate the plane would be boarding from. Seat was very uncomfortable (cushion needed to be re-stuffed)."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed by more than 3 hours. They made me checkin my bag based on the pre tense that the flight was completely booked whereas it was no where close to full. After arriving in London there was no information which belt my luggage will arrive and I had to search for close to an hour to find my bag"
Voordelen: "Good staff on board, with lots of smiles. Damn good price to fly for just EUR 20 from Amsterdam to Marseille. Speedy Boarding is a big plus and totally worth it. Emergency row seats were comfortable."
Nadelen: "why do we have to pay so much extra to book with a credit card / debit card! :("
Nadelen: "I received a flight delay notification saying that my flight is delayed by 37 minutes. But I still did arrive airport 2 hours before my flight, checked bag On time and went through security clearance 1.5 hrs before. The gate number was not assigned and later I found out that my flight took off on time. So I had to come out by front desk and rebook the flight to different airport which cost my extra taxi fare half day and too much Hassel. Never ever flying again in easy jet."

Nadelen: "We were told that we could only carry on one item, unless we upgraded to Easyjet plus, but we were not able to upgrade because no seats were available, even though the plane was only ~2/3 full. Our 'extra' items were a knitting bag and a laptop bag, but the checkin agents persuaded us that we would need to check the carry ons anyway, which slowed our departure enough that we missed our bus and had to get a taxi (for 200 pounds). Our flight had plenty of empty seats, and there was more than enough room for us to have had our carryons and personal items (which I would have been willing to pay the upgrade fee for, as the total price would still have been competitive."
Nadelen: "Luggage was damaged hard. Can't reach support online or offline (Tel). I tried to reach today via Facebook page message"
Voordelen: "The prompt staff"
Nadelen: "It was SO hot and when you're cramped like that, the temperature can make you panic a little bit. Did not get cooler in the air, and they made you pay for drinks!!! Even water! Nothing "easy" about this jet."
Nadelen: "After the landing we had to wait a long time in the plain. the announcement was that due to how the suitcases where loaded into the plain if all people will get off the plain might tip."
Voordelen: "Did not try food or entertainment, but it's a great value flight. Professional staff and flight times were spot on."
Nadelen: "Plane was full of young party goers on their way to some vacation spot in Croatia. They partied on the flight, drinking, listening to loud music, standing in the aisle the entire flight, being obnoxious, loud and disrespectful to other passengers. Crew did nothing to stop this behavior."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed 1 hour Conflicting directions from ground flight attendants We had a small purse and a backpack as carry on. The flight attendant let my mom in with a backpack, paper bag, and a small flat purse. My sister and I, on the other hand, was carrying a backpack and a small purse each. The flight attendant told us to fit our purses in our backpacks. We ended up paying for a checked baggage. Even with one carry on, we were not able to put it in the overhead compartment and we just placed it under the seat. We did not mind paying but we wished that the rule is applied consistently."
Voordelen: "The crew was extremely nice and accommodating."
Nadelen: "The menu is very limited and it contains mostly junk food. No options for specific needs."
Voordelen: "Cheap and fast flight."
Nadelen: "No check in luggage is included and they don't tell you that when you're ordering tickets for a connecting flight. If you don't order check in luggage when purchasing the tickets they will charge you double the rate at the counter. Ripoff!"
