Nadelen: "We booked our plane reservations through Kayak . My sister booked my reservation along with hers at the same time. Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Nadelen: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Nadelen: "Leg room in economy is inadequate for international flights. Seats had no cushion left in seat bottoms. It was like sitting on cement."

Voordelen: "That was the best airline meal I've ever eaten. It was a lightly curried chicken. Outstanding. Extremely fast boarding. Boarded entire airplane in less than 15 minutes. Nice selection of movies and audio. All of which you could stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind."
Nadelen: "No reading lights. No attendant call button I could find. Not much air volume. That pesky lack of leg room. Short seat belts."

I also got too little transfer time and barely made it because my flight arrived late. Then, my luggage got lost during the transfer, so I had to wait for 5 hours, which made my plans a mess. Overall not satisfied with my flight"

Nadelen: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."

Voordelen: "Our flight out of Amsterdam was roughly 30 minutes late. Since we were connecting to an International flight to return to the US there was no possibility we would be able to get to the International terminal through security and board our flight in the time available. So, Lufthansa staff met the connecting passengers as we disembarked, shuttled us via bus to the International terminal and ensured we made our connection. Finally, for airline food it was quite good (Vegan)."

Nadelen: "This was NOT a Lufthansa flight. The plane was a United flight. One of the worst I have experienced in 40 years of flying to Europe and Hawaii."

Nadelen: "The Premium Eco seats are a catastrophe. They don't recline: the seats only slide down slightly but the upper part of your body doesn't move much. This makes for a poor experience, especially on a night flight. Except if you need the extra width, Eco has better value."

Nadelen: "They have a terrible communication problem, they never communicated why the flight was late, they never communicated what they were doing or what was happening. Bad customer service. Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

Nadelen: "Plane was canceled at the last minute with a transfer desk literally assaulted by 100s of people. Only 3 persons on the desk. No lane for sky priority. Queued for nearly two hours before some airport employee gave us instructions to travel by train without any other information or tickets etc. Had to buy my ticket. Couldn’t recuperate my suitcase. Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

Voordelen: "Offering a drink on such a short flight is appreciated albeit unusual these days. Crew was very professional and friendly."

Voordelen: "Very poor sound quality on the earphones. Made it very difficult to watch a movie and almost impossible to listen to music."

As I said before, for the $550 I paid for a New York-Istanbul flight via Kiev, I think altogether it was a good option that I would take again."

Nadelen: "When I bought the tickets, there was a written disclosure that additional baggage fees might apply. They provided a link to the airline site that listed baggage fees and the first bag (up to 50 lbs) will be free for the economy class ticket. However, at the check in I was told that I have to pay extra for each piece of luggage ($50). It wouldn't be a problem had I known that from the beginning. KAYAK let me believe that I'm buying a regular fare ticket and would be allowed a first piece of luggage for free."

Voordelen: "nothing. not joking. apart from the fact that I got from point A to point B, there was nothing redeemable or positive about this experience."
Nadelen: "First, the last-minute 7 hour delay. An hour before we were due to board the plane we found out about the delay due to techical issues/ plane rotation, i.e. a problem entirely of UIA's own making. Second, zero customer service for our options as passengers to reschedule, re-route, or be reimbursed for our 7 hour delay (delays over 5 hours allow for full refunds according to UIA's own Air Passenger Rights on their website). Third a promised lunch during the delay was itself also delayed, this time by an hour an a half. Fourth, the flight experience itself. A 10.5 hour flight with no in seat monitors, no complementary beverages (only water), no pillow, horrible food, broken seats, no usb ports for charging devices, and freezing cabin conditions. I would hands down never fly with UIA again in my life."

Voordelen: "Arrived in time to make connecting flight"
Nadelen: "Tight quarters, only 2 toilets, dirty without any toilet paper, several children seated without an adult behind us, kicking our seats and playing with tray tables"

Voordelen: "They compensated our wait with a sandwich and a drink."
Nadelen: "We boarded the plane to find out there were some technical problems. We then deplaned and waited several hours for a new plane. Little information was given to the passengers in languages other than Ukrainian. Re-boarding was not announced, it just happened. Seats were very uncomfortable and too close together."

Voordelen: "Hard to say. Budget flight. No"
Nadelen: "Late boarding. No service. No entertainment. Mediocre service."

Nadelen: "There was no Sky Priority line for check in, the lounge does not open until the flight is boarding."

Voordelen: "Old plane's for the price of a European airline with new plane's"
Nadelen: "Their scales to weight the luggage are fixed to show more than actually is to overcharge the extra weight even my hand luggage was overcharge even that I came all the way from Mexico Madrid London.... and without any troubles on the connections but here it is a scam very unfriendly staff I felted humiliated will try to avoid this airline in the future as more as possible"

Voordelen: "It was fast and on time"

Voordelen: "Not sure why other reviews so negative? This was nice, well-managed, on time flight on modern (new?) Boeing 737-800, despite being completely full. Good, professional crew, cabin service. Friendly/multilingual."
Nadelen: "Minor point prior to flight: Initially got conflicting information/direction from UIA airport staff about where to check in. Lost time but eventually ok, helped me get checked/boarded in timely manner."

Voordelen: "The flights left on time. Connection via Kiev was comfortable as it was in the same terminal, and was a relatively short walk. KLM code shares with UIA so that says alot. Stewards were nice."
Nadelen: "The seats on most planes were fine. On one of them, they were a bit shallow and we slid off them. Not terrible."

Voordelen: "Flight attendants spoke good English and they readily helped if there was problems,."
Nadelen: "It was very hot in the plane, there was no entertainment and they didn't let me take my carry on with me, even tho my itinerary said I could, they said the plane was to full,.."

Voordelen: "Great staff that was extremely helpful."

Voordelen: "Good service, you can bring suitcase, on line bording"
Nadelen: "Small space for your feet, you go down with staircase in minus 23 degrees"

Voordelen: "Staff was helpful and friendly (though were not updating anyone on the reasons for delay and how much time lef to wait.)"
Nadelen: "No pillows, no blankets, no entertainment, flight delays, no food though it was not a low-cost flight, no information about what is going on with the delays."

Nadelen: "Lost luggage."

Voordelen: "The airplane seats were much more roomy and comfortable as well as soft. The plane was not too fully booked."
Nadelen: "This was the second flight of the evening that was significantly delayed by at least an hour."

Voordelen: "Helpful staff. On time. Kiev airport a convenient size and efficient."
Nadelen: "Nothing could be faulted."

Nadelen: "They changed the default of including baggage fee into the ticket price, which was a surprise. In my return flight I had to pay for what I didn't pay when flying "there"."

Voordelen: "The flight was affordable and you could check one bag free."
Nadelen: "Unfortunately our luggage was delayed several days both ways of our trip. When we called the airlines they couldn't give us any information or any help. We just had to give an address and hope for the best. In the meantime we had to buy clothes and toiletries and got zero reimbursement from the company and not even an apology. This is a budget airlines. If you want food you have to buy it. The only thing your given on board is one cup of water for a 3 hour flight. There are no tvs and the legroom is very tight."

Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "Service, seats too small, very tight"

Voordelen: "Smooth flight and on time."
Nadelen: "Cramped seating, old seats with no amenities like personal viewing screen and USB charging. Dirty toilets and a general rundown appearance. Unless they make better pricing and appearance I will use another airline."

Nadelen: "Going throuh more security for connecting flight."

Nadelen: "Without any prior notification and disclosure they charged me 50€ per piece of luggage - 100€ total, telling me that it was not included in my price. It made price of the ticket totally unreasonable and made me extremely upset. Kayak also didn't make any disclosure in my papers or email."

Nadelen: "Mis maletas no llegaron y pasé mi estadía final en Barcelona sin mis maletas"

Voordelen: "The on-board crew were friendly and professional. The in flight entertainment options were great. And the flight was mostly on time and easy."
Nadelen: "We had significant issues getting our one boarding pass from the computers and then the workers in the airport. We purchased both tickets together and the one had no issues. However, we got nonchalantly passed off from one employee to another without having anyone seem really concerned for us."

Nadelen: "the chairs are very uncomfortable for a early morning flight.. do not recline. i am not big at all.. im 154cm and 60 kg.. the chairs killled my back and next... i just wanted to sleep."

Nadelen: "They flew me from Madrid to Istanbul with a replacement passport knowing my final destination. Was Bahrain but would not let me board the plane in Istanbul. Now I’m stuck here with no money, credit card, or flight and I’m completely screwed because of Pegasus"

Nadelen: "Pegasus Airlines service is so poor. We've waited for hours to check in. Your website did not clearly declare that the ticket did not have a luggage allowance. I have paid in total 70 Euros to check in my luggage. Innaddition to that Pegasus Airlines lost my luggage. Overall a terrible journey"

Nadelen: "Never in time and the POS machine on board never works with debit cards or cards without PIN code .... it didn’t work with more than half of the passengers on board!!! Oh they also charged me 47 euros for just 4 kgs of extra weight!!! Unacceptable !"

Voordelen: "The seats and the food we prepaid were quite good. The staff at the airport were very kind."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed more than 1 hour. The gate lounge didn’t had enough chairs for all the passengers. They had any entertainment on board and they make you turn off your mobile phone for take off and landing even if you have airplane mode."

Nadelen: "Pegasus cannot fly without a dalay of at least 1 hour !!!"

Nadelen: "They cheat the people with the conditions of the baggage. They changed recently the policies without clear information for the passengers."

Voordelen: "The crew at the airport was incompetant. The service was appalling. I had to wait for over 30 minutes for bag drop off . I was very dissapointed. Also boarding was quite late and pushy"

Voordelen: "This was a domestic flight, only hour and 30 min. Same aircraft as from London to Istanbul, nice and comfortable seats with plenty of leg room."

Nadelen: "This experience was absolutely horrible for my wife and myself both. We understood that being among the more "budget friendly" airlines, we would have to sacrifice some comfort. But this airline is beyond atrocious to say the least. There is no terminal exit, but rather we had to walk down steps from the plane, walk in the rain to a stand-up bus, and ride it to the airport. How on earth are you supposed to make close connecting flights with those conditions? We barely made it only because they let us skip the line for security. Save yourself the misery; dig deeper in your pocket for a better airline."

Nadelen: "Flight took off late, no food or entertainment available"

Voordelen: "The seats are not narrow."
Nadelen: "I am guessing this company does clean their aircraft only once in a while. In both of my flights between Istanbul and Amsterdam, the airplane was not cleaned off of the previous flight's trash. When I was seated in my first flight to Amsterdam, my tray had a lot of stains of food and drinks. Not a pleasant sight! In my flight back to Istanbul, I had to travel looking at a former passenger's waste, such as a used napkin tissue, stuck to the handle of the seat, and a chocolate package. I also have to say that the sinks of the bathrooms do not drain properly, so you, actually, cannot leave the place clean for the next person. All in all, this company definitely needs to work on the cleanliness of their aircraft. Thank you!"

Nadelen: "My tent poles, which were attached to my bag were lost. I am hiking in Switzerland and have no tent now!!!"

Nadelen: "Boarding was delayed and there were no announcements about when we would be boarding. Also the ticket check at the gate to board the buses was not the most well-organized/efficient."

Voordelen: "Nothing"

Nadelen: "It's the worst airline ever, delays (NO EXCUSES), non-comfortable seats, very bad customer experience..."

Nadelen: "the air conditioner didnt work in the plane and they took very high rate for extra bag of 180 Euro!"

Nadelen: "The staff's English was not understandable at all even for a native speaker."

Voordelen: "I was lucky enough to have the seat next to me free, so I was comfortable during the flight itself"
Nadelen: "The ground service was really bad and even insulting. I was a little overweight and the girl at the counter was very rude, and eventually made me through away snacks I was keeping for the flight. Also, the weight limit is ridiculous if you're travelling for more than a weekend (I went on a 3 weeks trip with camping). On the flight itself there's nothing provided, even when I asked for water they charged me for it (no option for just a glass of water)."

Nadelen: "I booked my flight throw kayak.com. After that I got scam emails with my information, book number, direction, and my name asking for more money! Witch mean that our information is not secure ."

Nadelen: "Air traffic control delays at Istanbal SAW on departure was about 40 mins. Airline blamed it on ATC rather than themselves but weatehr was good, no obvious reason for delays except heavy traffic which surely must occur every day. Airlines should build ATC delays into schedule. Sabiha Gokcen airport shops are masively overpriced which means I will avoid transiting through there."
