Nadelen: "Flight entertainment was not fully functional. Many films would not play. The meal was also particularly bad - all three options that were available (chicken, pasta and vegetarian curry). Flight attendants often seemed very rushed."

Had to pay for the luggage at the airport (luggage was not included in my ticket). Flight to my final destination was cancelled (first it was delayed, but I did not know that untill I got to the gate) I was diverted to other country (by other company), had to pay for hotel and taxi, missed almost two days of my vacation. On my flight back home, they have lost my luggage... hope they will find it. Now I am trying to get refund for cancelled flight, hotel, taxi, food... I will never fly with this company by my own choice any more!!!"

Nadelen: "My complaints go to something not directly linked to the flight crew. 1. When boarding, I like to see when passengers are called in groups relating to distant seats in the plane such that they do not step over each other during luggage placement. That is more comfortable than let the crowd enter randomly. 2. I notice people enter the cabin with 2, even 3 pieces of luggage. Even though each one has proper dimensions, they overload the overhead compartments and it is hard for everybody to place his/her belongings in a suitable way. 3. The rows in the airplane seems to have gotten closer ti each other. It is not the airlines fault, except perhaps when choosing whose airplanes to buy...but again, there are only two major contenders in that segment. For overseas flights, it is pretty uncomfy. 4. Lastly, unboarding the plane could also be performed (enforced by the crew) to be in a more civil fashion rather than haveing5 a stampedo - again calling separate grouos of rows in the name of fairness, or simply vacating it row by row from the front to back."

Nadelen: "My flight was Dec 11 at 8:00 from Budapest to Vienna. And from Viena I have to fly to Minsk. So on Dec 10 at 10:00 pm they send an e-mail to let me know that the flight from Budapest to Viena is canceled. I am glad that I decided to check my e-mail before I go to bad. So I try to call Austrian, but they work just from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. I start to search all the info the site of Austrian, and find one phone number that seats be working 24 hours. So finally I got a person on the phone who was able to help me. ..."

The seperate coffee menu has to be experienced to be believed, basically, it's an authentic Vienna see cafe experience at 30,000 ft."
Nadelen: "Entertainment selection was fiddly and the offerings meagre compared to the vast libraries found on other carriers, but it was sufficient. More a quibble than a gripe from me. The noise cancelling headsets were good quality noise cancelling, and comfortable. I can't wear some other airlines headsets at all and use my ear pods with an airline adapter jack."

Nadelen: "Austrian Air has really slipped in its food-product.. Lufthansa put out snacks (cookies etc; even small sandwiches to 'help yourself from' going from Atlanta to Frankfort which was nice). But not the case with Austrian The serving of it was fine. Restroom options are less than adequate too."

Nadelen: "5 hour delay. One staff member said there would be a delay, the second said there was no delay and after a couple hours the delay was confirmed. I was told the flight was full without the attendant even checking, flight was actually not even close to full. Nobody wanted to help and do their job, they just want to send you on your way."

Voordelen: "Flight was cancelled. Waited over two hours to be rebooked. Nothing was offer. Special meals was not available for a flight that is over 9 hours. No other food was available."

Voordelen: "It would be nice to see AUA learning from other airlines on how to board a plain. To date it is chaotic, unorganized, messy and unnecessarily unfriendly. Interestingly enough it compares well to the non-existing system for lining up at Skilifts in Austria: Use force to squeeze everybody around you or cheat your way in sidewise. Not exactly my cup of tea."

Nadelen: "I was very disappointed with Austrian airlines. I was not able to pick my own seat even after I checked in and the actual seats on the plane were extremely small and uncomfortable. This made it impossible for me to enjoy mi flight. A 5'6' person should not have any issues but my knees were touching the seat in front of me. The seat was very narrow - it felt cramped and as if they turned a space designed for 2-4-2 into a 3-4-3. When I called the customer service before the flight to get a seat next to my husband who had a separate reservation, it took about 4 calls before anyone even mentioned that out reservations could be linked together. will not fly Austrian airlines again."

Nadelen: "Bad weather in Minsk delayed flight more than 7 Hours and Belavia staff did not communicate the reasons for delays to passengers for more than 3 hours into delay. In the end, the purpose of my trip was lost due to the incredible delay and I did not travel in the end. Poor Communication and Poor Handling of Passengers and our Concerns. Czech Air (booking owner) should hold Belavia (operating aircraft) accountable for this poor performance ... not the weather delay, but how they handled (or didn’t handle) passengers and communications."

Nadelen: "I may be wrong but these days, the staff curtsy and overall well coming approach is lacking! Just a smile and a few cheerful words can transform passengers’ mood greatly!! This becomes particularly important when one is traveling for > 9 hours back to back flights!! One can extra charge for it!!"

Nadelen: "I did not like that i was in the bulkhead and there was not sufficient overhead storage for us. The bin was only big enough for 1 backpack. 2 of the 3 of us in that row had to go 2 rows back to store our luggage. This is very inconvenient when deboarding because I have to wait for many others to pass before I get a chance to walk towards the back of the plane to get my luggage."

Nadelen: "Plane was canceled at the last minute with a transfer desk literally assaulted by 100s of people. Only 3 persons on the desk. No lane for sky priority. Queued for nearly two hours before some airport employee gave us instructions to travel by train without any other information or tickets etc. Had to buy my ticket. Couldn’t recuperate my suitcase. Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

Voordelen: "Flight was good. Warsaw is a well organized airport and easy for transit passengers to negotiate. Flight crew, staff were all helpful and approachable. The captain gave passengers relevant information and cabin crew did the same. Flight was problem free no turbulence no delays no just well run and well organized."
Nadelen: "Leg room - I know in economy you can't expect much but passengers are really cramped on the 787. 9 hours of sitting in a very restricted space with little opportunity to get up and about if you are hemmed in between two fellow passengers - and once the idiot in front of me had reclined his seat it became very uncomfortable. I don't frankly see why seats need to recline at all - it does not make it much more comfortable for those "reclining" and certainly makes it considerably worse for the person sitting behind. I also don't understand LOT's boarding process - it didn't make much difference but if you are assigned a ZONE 3 boarding number and it is never displayed and never called, what"s the point."

Voordelen: "Both flights I was on were somewhat empty, so I had an open seat next to me. Despite some delays taking off, each arrival was not too late."
Nadelen: "Had to check a bag at the gate, despite being under the two-bag limit. However I was not charged (as my destination was intercontinental)."

I suggest that you train your staff in customer service or you will continue to lose good customers"

By 3am while in JFK airport, we decided to book a different flight on another airline. We successfully arrived at our destination finally! The one good thing is that Ukraine airline was willing to refund our money because our flight had not taken off yet. That, though was complicated by the fact that we had to seek that refund through the agency with which we purchased it."

Nadelen: "It never happened thanks to KLM"

Voordelen: "The staff on the ground at JFK and the flight attendants were nice. Food was good."
Nadelen: "Flight was cancelled until the next morning. Had to sleep in JFK. Caused me to miss my connection in Kiev and the staff on the ground at Kiev for not helpful telling me that they had no more flights to my final destination for 2 days even though it was there cancellation that caused me to miss my connection. the airline only had one Customer Service person for the entire plane which cause the line of 50 plus people. You were unable to get a voucher for an overnight hotel unless you are willing to stand in that line at 2 a.m. Ultimately, I had a cab got my own hotel and paid for another flight on another airline to get to my Final Destination the next day. I would consider Ukraine air in middle of the road airline with a customer service if things go wrong to be quite poor."

Voordelen: "Crew tried to do a good job in spite of a planeload of people who act like they've never flown before."
Nadelen: "Cramped plane, chaotic boarding, not even an effort to push off on schedule. Extra fees for everything"

Nadelen: "Chairs in business are poor"

Voordelen: "Got me from point A to B"
Nadelen: "The food was terrible and quite questionable as to the freshness and "realness" of it. My friend's grape had mold on it and the taste of the meals were not good. The flight is extremely tight with little room to move. If I was not flying with someone I knew it would be extremely uncomfortable as you are shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you (me and my friend are both tiny and we just fit in the seats). The space is just OK if it were a domestic or short flight of 3 hours or so, but it should be illegal to put that many people on a flight across the ocean. There are no videos behind your seat so you have to watch what they choose on the few videos hanging from the ceiling. The staff were not very friendly. Plane was not well kept and the plane is old."

Nadelen: "We couldn't fly because of serious health problem of my pregnant wife and no one cancelled our booking and even didn't provide partial refund. It is the worst customer service I've ever met."

Nadelen: "Poor communication and lack of responcibiluty Awful Nobody even bothered to send email or text to inform that flight is cancelled I did all work if finding another flight myself Had to take next day flight with the king connections s it caused me to miss the event I was suppose to attend on Saturday, July 14. Kayak also wasn't helpful All Emails I got from kayak we're stating that flight is on time. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this services Both booking company and Ukrainian airlines failed No excuses for such way if treating clients that way!"

Voordelen: "I got a great price so I wasn't expecting much. However, the service was exceptional. Plus, we were served two meals."
Nadelen: "There was only one large screen for movies on a 10-hour flight. Would've been nice to have individual screens, but it wasn't terrible."

Nadelen: "I opened my bag when I arrived to hotel in Astana, and some one stole my old video camera from it. I already informed Astana airport about it"

Nadelen: "Flight attendant should smile and must be educated to say thank you and when giving the change to speak with costumer not to put on table !!"

Voordelen: "Boarding was okay."
Nadelen: "Flight was late for almost an hour but they did not update the information. The aircraft was so old. I felt insecure all the way to my first destination (for 9 hours). The flight was long but there was no entertainment except the screens they have on the top of the airplane. It felt like I was on a bus. I am highly worried about my flight back. I just wish that it was possible to be refunded with some of it so that I can buy a new ticket."

Voordelen: "It's an airplane... I like that it travels 550mph as opposed to literally anything slower so I don't have to spend any more time with these people than necessary. The air hostesses were friendly and helpful (the ones on the plane- literally no one else)."
Nadelen: "The whole experience was absolutely exhausting. Gatwick airport is nothing short of a disaster. The UIA counter can't take payments and the "international" airport can only take certain forms of payment (non of which are dollars- I know it's London, but I've never been anywhere that can't accommodate this). Ukraine international airlines are extortionists that will hold you and your luggage hostage with arbitrary baggage policies. 6kg is the cabin policy by the way. And if you don't read the fine print, you too can spend $80 to check a TSA approved hand bag. That's right. 12kg and all it cost me was EIGHTY US DOLLARS. Then they printed the incorrect boarding pass. When I returned, in a hurry because this whole ordeal lasted 45 minutes, the agent at the check-in counter demanded I "say please" to get my correct boarding pass. I've flown on 4-6 segments per week for the last four years. I understand how to communicate with airline agents, but wow... These people are off their rockers. During this whole conundrum, they even checked two people in under the same name. These people are in no way qualified to be operating an airline or maintaining personal information of any sort."

Nadelen: "There was no Sky Priority line for check in, the lounge does not open until the flight is boarding."

Voordelen: "Nice crew."
Nadelen: "No entertainment. Small seats."

Voordelen: "I liked the crew, they were one of the best I've ever seen."
Nadelen: "The business class seats was terrible."

Voordelen: "The flights left on time. Connection via Kiev was comfortable as it was in the same terminal, and was a relatively short walk. KLM code shares with UIA so that says alot. Stewards were nice."
Nadelen: "The seats on most planes were fine. On one of them, they were a bit shallow and we slid off them. Not terrible."

Nadelen: "The plane is very tiny. The seats are super small. Everyone is crammed. I was lucky to have skinny teenager next to me, otherwise surviving 10 hour flight would be extremely difficult"

Voordelen: "Great staff that was extremely helpful."

Nadelen: "At checkin they give me 2 tickets for the same leg. Very rude and nervous boarding attendant"

Nadelen: "Most of the crew were rude, the seats were extremely cramped, and the plane was old. It didn't bother me but the entertainment system was outdated - four small TVs per cabin."

Nadelen: "They changed the default of including baggage fee into the ticket price, which was a surprise. In my return flight I had to pay for what I didn't pay when flying "there"."

Voordelen: "Smooth flight and on time."
Nadelen: "Cramped seating, old seats with no amenities like personal viewing screen and USB charging. Dirty toilets and a general rundown appearance. Unless they make better pricing and appearance I will use another airline."

Voordelen: "Roomy seats. Flight attendants were very friendly and constantly checking on us. Food was good. In flight entertainment was also good."
