Nadelen: "Seats 23A, 23B were extra cramped on the B777-300ER, even though they are sold as "extra comfort"! due to the video screen taking space between the seats. The seats were so cramped that the overhead light kept coming on, unknowingly, when people shifted in their seats."

Voordelen: "The flight ,food entertainment was very good. But I don't understand the SWISS airline logic. When I did the check in in Prague and got my boarding pass the told me that the system picked me to have the additional random checkup at Zurich airport. Its ok. If it’s done for security reason why to tell the people ahead of time that they will have additional checkup of bags and personal stuff. If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."
Nadelen: "The same as the first flight, although it was a bit better, offering chocolates and a small breakfast, although they didn’t have an alternative to ham or yogurt for people who are not interested in them"
Nadelen: "Seats too small."

Nadelen: "The seats in economy were unbearable for anyone of normal size, as I am. It is not possible to sit in even bare comfort in them. Obviously I'll have to find another airline or factor a size upgrade into the price"
Voordelen: "I thought Swiss did a nice job. The people were kind and the service was excellent. The meals were great. I never wanted for anything. The entertainment was also very nice."

Nadelen: "Not even a smile from the purser and one other crew member on the Swedish leg. The captain hurriedly "explained", no one understood him, why we were so delayed, but he did not apologize! Zurich airport has no charging sockets! (Ancient) All of terminal A has not a single one! No one supervised the loading passengers not to interfere with those passing by. It was a complete mess. We took off 50 minutes late from Zurich, with no apparent reason. Worst in years for me. We sat in the plane for 30 minutes and were not offered even water. Big fail! (btw, I am unusually so critical)."

Nadelen: "My wife is strictly Hindu vegetarian. We had entered her food choice at Swiss web site months before. She didn't get the food while going to Zurich and coming back to Boston. She remained hungry both ways. Although we were in business class while coming."

Voordelen: "Everything!! This airline is a huge breath of fresh (old?) air. It reminded me of how air travel used to be. No baggage charge - we only checked one bag. There was plenty of great food and drink - alcoholic drinks were free. We will definitely look to use SwissAir whenever possible."

Nadelen: "There was much confusion and no one seemed to know what was going on with this flight. By the time I reached Schipol all trains and trams had stopped. I had to pay an extra 40 euro for cab home that night."

Nadelen: "Seat pitch was too small and the food didn't taste that great. I was lucky enough to get a whole row to myself but on the way back I did not and there is not a lot of room at all. And for an 11 hour flight it was really uncomfortable!"

So frustrating! The trip would have gotten so short that it wasn't worth it so I had to reschedule it 6 weeks out. It got my dad really upset! Thank god his health is stable at the moment."

Voordelen: "Flight was good. The problem was the ticket purchased from Kayak was not as stated. Because there was a layover in Amsterdam, I was not able to check my bag all the way through to USA. AND I had to visit 5 counters to check bag, pay for bag at different counter and 3 other counters!"
Nadelen: "It would have been better if the ticket I purchased was the one that I selected. It was not as advertised. I searched for ticket that was translatlantic with one checked bag. BUT kayak booked an ECONOMY LIGHT fare that required payment. It was not as advertised and a total head ache for check in."
Voordelen: "The flight was only about 1 hour. Everything ran smoothly once we took off. The crew was very good, providing gate information for connecting passengers."
Nadelen: "It would have been better if we had departed on time. I don't remember why there was a late departure but it made it difficult for some passengers to make their connecting flight. My husband and I hurried to the gate for our flight to Washington, DC but that flight left late, too."

It was early morning, who would eat a sugary chocolate chip cookie for breakfast? But otherwise, I would fly with Lufthansa again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you!!!!!!"

Nadelen: "I absolutely hated and was very surprised at the completely illogical step of making people who have connection flights wait. Lufthansa was the one that scheduled two of my flights so close together, not letting people with connection flights to un-board first is completely counterproductive. Most other airlines let people with connecting flights unboard first."

Nadelen: "Lufthansa cancelled my flight on November 23rd a few hours prior to departures because their pilots went on a strike. When I called and asked if they would rebook me the lady on the phone said that she could rebook for a trip that had two layovers from 2pm(Prague time) to 8:30pm(NYC time) for the 24th of November (thanksgiving). When I asked her if there was anything else she said that was the soonest flight she could find. When I checked my self I found and booked a flight for the 23rd. When I called back they refused to give me a refund."
Voordelen: "I like the friendly crew. They give refreshments at no charge on a 40 minute flight and get it done in time."

Nadelen: "Airport in Vienna was pretty disorganized. Several people from several flights had to be pulled out for additional screening that should have been done earlier. Passengers were confused and frustrated"

Nadelen: "I was switched seats against my will on board! Although i reserved the seat ahead of time when i got in i was pretty much forced to sit somewhere else. The staff handled the sitution in a very poor manner!"

Nadelen: "Missed the flight from Houston to Fankfurt and the airline canceled the whole round trip. I did not know I had to call the airline to let them know not the cancel my trip. I would've appreciated a notice of that."

Nadelen: "Original flight cancelled so rebooked ojba floght five hours later - then with one hour to go until that second flight, that was cancelled as well. Totally unhelpful ground staff, who were oblivious to the fact that I had a work commitment the next day so couldn’t overnight in some random hotel at an airport to suit Austrian’s policies. Eventually routed via Lisbon which meant literally flying all night to arrive at 0600. Lufthansa and Austrian have some serious faults to correct."
Voordelen: "Even on this short 1-hour prop flight they do have average service and pass out Swiss chocolate."
Nadelen: "Passengers should be notified of the process of changing airplanes at Vienna. What a nightmare. We were scheduled for 50 minutes between flights. Not really enough. If we were aware of what was required it may have helped, however the distance we had to walk was rather extreme."
Nadelen: "You sold wrong tickets to customers. I booked economy tickets but I got Econony lite ticket. Had to pay extra charges. You shouldn’t make money to sell lower class tickets as regular."
Voordelen: "Landing was a disaster"

Nadelen: "Plane temperature was too hot, despite my repeated requests to the crew to lower the temp. No one on this flight opened a single blanket - was that the goal? It was too hot to even sleep."
Voordelen: "Very pleasant staff on the plane and in the airport. Economy Seats are more comfortable than some other airlines. Food is good."
Nadelen: "There was no entertainment at all. No movies, no music, absolutely nothing. If i could have rated it with no stars i would have."
Nadelen: "They lost my bag and refused to deliver it to my house once it was found. It is still at the airport"

Nadelen: "We landed so close to our boarding time, by the time i got through everything, i was notified that i had to go to gate 11 for a special security check...it was stressful since my flight was boarding...i found it really frustrating . Ultimately the plane waited and it worked out, but the process was long and VERY stressful."
Nadelen: "I tried to reschedule due to a death in the family and due to the "small print" this was not possible. Then when I did travel, it turned out I didn't have the right for a piece luggage (again "small print"). I paid for the extra piece and I was double-charged (same amount withdrawn twice). Now I have opened a complained with Austrian and they haven't responded so far."
Nadelen: "Changing planes on Vienna was not easy so 1-hour layover was barely enough (required running)"
Voordelen: "Short flight, no major issues."

Voordelen: "After flight to Vienna was cancelled, we were put on a flight to Frankfurt instead."
Nadelen: "Kayak sent me an email at 5:16am for an 8:15 am flight titled, "Austrian Airlines flight #704 from PRG on time". It was in fact cancelled. Unfortunately we missed the connection for the flight to Newark, which we were expressly told would be held for us... they shut the door 30 seconds before we arrived, with the plane still at the gate. Had to then go to the only counter in the terminal to see if we could get on standby. Finally got on a flight to JFK instead at 5:15pm."
Voordelen: "The flight was nowhere near full, which was terrific. The crew were excellent, polite and attentive. Everything was on time."
Nadelen: "I don't remember anything about the food."
Voordelen: "If you have to fly coach, this was the way to go. The star were lovely, plane clean, food was good. Very nice flight from LAX to Vienna."

Nadelen: "I have the 'Economy Class' on the tickets. At check-in at the airport we wrote "economy light" on the boarding pass and want to pay for the first baggage. I check it on the original receipt I received by e-mail, there is ECONOMY CLASS and 1st baggage free of charge, another for a fee. So I do not understand and for two tickets I have paid 2 x 30 €."

I inquired about paying to change destination city and or seat to a premium seat (for the 9+ hour flight) when I recvd the reservations for the new flights that were made at the airport around 8am for flights that left at around noon and 3pm. I was told no better seat(s) was available. However, a half hour before the flight was boarded several announcements were made regarding all the upgrades that were available. Liars annoy me."

Would have been a lot better if they boarded by seat numbers. Also they made me check in my fairly small and light carry on bag resulting in its contents arriving broken!"

Nadelen: "... ear plugs, masks, good food or even picking seats? I remember when it was all complementary and standard on overnight flights. Oh, and the vegetarian breakfast was unfortunately poor as well. I know you can do better, because you used to."

Nadelen: "Flew KLM 27 years ago and the airlines seem to be stuck in the same era. Food is poor quality... Have you recently checked the Gulf carriers."
Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us.The food was also mediocre."

With the airport shuttle(CDVAL) to our airport hotel closed, they offered no assistance despite of my request. Simply asked us to take a taxi (when all taxi stands are abandoned at 2AM). Beware if traveling with family."

Nadelen: "Boarding agent forced me to check in my carry-on even though the carry-on fit in the cage and fullfilled all the requirements. I specifically called Air France prior to the flight to make sure I won’t have any issues as my 1st flight was operated by Delta and I wanted to confirm the luggage requirements were the same. My carry-on weighted only 5 kilos. I was extremely upset the way I was treated w/ the boarding agent behind the counter in Prague. On the top of that, her and the supervisor were very rude to my mom as they told her she had an extra carry-on which wasn’t the case. She traveled w/ a small briefcase where her mask for sleep apnea was. This is not considered an additional carry-on. The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

Nadelen: "Leaving late seemingly without reason from Paris - chaotic boarding line in Paris with difficult to hear PA. Seats were ok'ish but than again, it's a 45 minute flight. The sandwich was gross and I'm somewhat known as a person who eats everything!"

Voordelen: "The flight crew was excellent. My husband and I flew economy and I saw the crew keep passengers well fed (several meals and snacks) and were attentive to everyone's needs and all done with a smile. I thought the hot towels for cleansing our hands before meals was a very nice touch!"

Nadelen: "It's an a380, stains everywhere, aisles between seats narrow even for business, caos at CDG, no clear queues, ground staff shout at passengers, food selection good but huge gap between describtion and reality, in JFK we waited for 30 minutes cause the docking spot was too narrow for the captain, sky priority? The economy got their bags before 1st and business."

Nadelen: "It was raining in Prague so I can understand that luggage is going to get wet. But when we opened our luggage at least half of our clothes were wet. It would seem that the luggage sat out for quite a while prior to departure for that much soaking of clothes. Fortunately we are staying in Paris for a few days and can get our clothes dried out."

Nadelen: "we paid for two seats together (one aisle and one middle) an exit row with extra legroom from paris to LA. but when we got to Prague they had one of us in the middle seat in the exit row and the other in a completely different part of the plane, also a middle row. The folks in Prague couldn't fix this, they moved one ticket to a different exit row, not together, different part of the plane. In Paris, but ONLY after I located my receipt on my phone, they moved us to the seats we had paid for."
