Voordelen: "The aircraft was clean, new, spacious and quiet. The bathrooms were regularly maintained. The food quality, selection and quantity was excellent for the economy class. Even the serving utensils were solid metal and had a very high quality feel to it. Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."
Nadelen: "The crew lacked its usual pep and cheer. For some reason they seemed very introverted and tired. First time on Singapore Airline that I noticed. The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."

Nadelen: "The woman behind me kept insisting that I keep my chair in the upright position. With two crying babies on the plane, I was trying to relax and sleep as much as possible on the 12.5 hr flight. What bothered me even more is that when the woman asked the flight attendant to tell me to put my seat up, the flight attendant complied instead of telling the woman it was my seat to do as I wished. Why make the seats recline if they are going to bother the people behind? Why tell me to put my seat up if it was not a requirement for all (ie during take off or landing)? I did not appreciate this and it made my flight extremely uncomfortable."
Voordelen: "Staff friendly and efficient"
Voordelen: "Overall, the Singapore Airlines team are always professional and friendly. They pay attention to every detail and try to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. One of my favorite things about this airline is that snack and juice are readily available throughout the entire flight without bothering the flight attendants, say in the middle of the night. This includes fresh fruit and juice, which in my book is a huge plus. Their bathrooms are always clean and include extra cosmetic amenities."
Nadelen: "Sometimes I feel like the cuisine is a bit too Asian and spicy. I had the fish curry and paid for it later in the flight in the bathroom, if you know what I mean. Also I was disappointed that I could not continue the same movie on this flight, as my previous flight, despite both flights being Singapore Air and using the KrisWorld entertainment system. I think the movies should be the same on each flight. However, the wide selection was great and I watched something else instead and really enjoyed the music selection."
Voordelen: "New aircraft Airbus 350-900 - has lot of leg space even in economy class. Food was just OK, nothing special and far from what SQ used to serve to the passengers. I was very disappointed finding out that travel pack consists only toothbrush and tootpaste with socks included. No more slippers, eyes cover and no more other necessities for intercontinental flights ! What a shame for SQ to save the money on such important things for passengers. Staff was over indulging, someone would say - fake kindness shown ..."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the crew... They have to learn from Air Serbia staff and Turkish Airlines what is genuine kindness and politeness. And the most expensive aircompany should not be stingy and provide to passengers on intercontinental flights just toothbrush and socks in traveler pack !!! What a shame for SQ !"

Emirates didn't give hotel in Dubai, though our stay was more than 10 hours.

Nadelen: "I didn’t like the airport in Dubai. Cleaners locked all the disabled toilets. I walked to 3 of them. Very difficult to use normal toilet and having to leave your baby & carry on outside when traveling alone!"
Voordelen: "Excellent service with very friendly staff. Everything ran so smoothly. For such a large aircraft I expected to have to queue up for boarding and exiting. No queuing, everything was so coordinated."

Nadelen: "Was not told that my luggage was on a weght system and not a piece system for a n international flight. I ended up paying $249 for my extra suitcase that weighted 25 lbs and it was only a 2.5 hour flighr!"

Nadelen: "Food quantities could be more. In such long haul flights, individuals line myself who do not sleep in focus tend to get hungrier. Boarding at Dubai has become a mess ever since Trump instituted a restriction on carry-on electronic devices for flights to the US originating from certain middle eastern counties."

Nadelen: "Dubai - Cebu leg. They managed to lose my suitcase and my understanding is that was done since the flight was full. I would appreciate if they didn't leave my suitcase in Dubai."

Voordelen: "The airline still runs like a well-oiled machine. Everything is efficient and staff are courteous. Flights are on time and reliable. DXB airport is easy to navigate. New on-board headphones design is an improvement."
Nadelen: "Cost saving cuts are evident around every corner. No more night mask, flight socks and toothbrush. No more hot lemon towel upon boarding (only towards end of flight). Food tray is smaller and more compact than before, turns Dinner into a game of Tetris (although, not a fun 'game'). Flights aboard A380 are much more comfortable than in Boeing 777."
Voordelen: "A380 is great, roomy even for coach. Food is great as always."
Nadelen: "While most flight attendants are decent, a few are just not that great...making loud noises at the attendants compartments and chatting around while flyers are all sleeping, kick around garbages which makes loud noises too. Also the TV screen is a little hard to pull up at the front role."
Voordelen: "Large room between seats in economy such that I could sit comfortably with my rather long legs"

Nadelen: "Bought tickets on Malaysian Airlines quota/allocation but was turned away by Malaysian Airlines counter becausw its operated by Emirates. Im a silver card holder on Oneworld ao I wanted to have less queue by using Silver card privileges at Malaysian Airlines counter but was not accepted. Had to go onlong queue at Emirates in KLIA but it was fast."
Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "The crew was not enough for so many people, they looked stressed and some of them were not very nice. The seat spaces were too small for such a long trip (13 hrs) + we had 1 hour delay in Dubai."
Voordelen: "This my first experience with the Emirates flights, heard so many good things about them prior to my flight, but never imagined it would exceed the description I heard. Good job Emirates, keep up the good work. The service was great. The seats were comfy and spacious. There was a variety of food."
Nadelen: "Since the WI-FI service is provided to the passengers portable devices, why is added to the entertainment service. It helps to reduce the number of devices used the passengers."
Voordelen: "I. Had bulk head seat 45g, the seat was stuck and could not recline ,the tv was stuck too so could not watch anything was boating and it was not comfortable at all"
Voordelen: "After what happened on Wednesday August 3rd I expected there to be some craziness but not like this. I was checked in by an employee who just started that day. She tells me in a faint voice "sir you may not make this flight". After that she tells me to check back 1 hour before the flight leaves. So I do, another teller states you made the flight please go to security. I have 45 minutes before the flight is schedule to leave at 3pm. I rush with my wife from one part of DXB to the other. Somehow make it there, but then have to wait for over 2 hours because of a connecting flight being delayed, unbelievable. Then when we land and I try to claim my bag, the bags are lost. Not just mine quite a few passengers. I go to baggage claim and the teller is screaming at me and other passangers "shut up, I don't care about your bag". This is the most disrespectful moment of the trip, never have I experienced a customer service provider yell at me like this. This experience is a direct reflection of emirates lack of management in their hiring process, as well as their ability to train their staff in high stress environments. Will I fly emirates again probably not, paying a premium for below average service is not worth it. The cabin crew were very thoughtful and respectful and made the trip bareable, their ground crew is anot her story."
Nadelen: "Lack of management with staff, being unable to control a high stress level situation, additionally the lack of communication regarding the progress of my flight. Delays and set backs happen but communication would help me plan and be prepared accordingly."
Voordelen: "We couldn't get on the flight because of poor service from people at the counter and missed our flight. We had to be put on another flight. One of our bags has gone missing And we are waiting for it"

Nadelen: "Connecting from a domestic flight with Virgin Australia to the International Terminal carrying 5 large pieces of luggage was a bit stressful and complicated. Train or Bus ? Lots of Lifts up and down. Boarding security was excessive."

Nadelen: "The USB charger, the whole entertainment, anything on the remote including light control and bell, stopped working! I wasn't given enough attention, i had to chase the crew a few times, it was a 14 hour flight with nothing working, miserable experience. I was offered a window seat, which i hate, without considering to give me an upgrade. I was given 5,000 Qantas points, i don't know if they can be moved to my AVIOS."
Nadelen: "I told Nicole that my sound wasn’t working and I had tried with 3 different headsets. She just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Not good enough for the price you pay for Qantas. I travel with qantas all the time and have never received service like this."
Nadelen: "I missed my flight. My flight from Melbourne with Qantas was delayed. I received an express connection ticket to go through Immigration, customs, etcetera. I ran, all for nothing. I should have known better, for sure. 2 hours is unrealistic. But this tickets shouldn't be offered, they give the impression that you can make it. And the staff in Melbourne, and the crew on the plane, all were extremely reassuring. I got to the gate of Alaska Airlines, the people there could only offer me a ticket two days later. And basically they said it was Qantas fault. Having almost no time and no clear way to communicate with Qantas (the 1800 number is useless), I had to book and pay a new ticket. Now I am going to try to contact Qantas for reimbursement but I am not optimistic. In summary, do not buy these types of tickets "in collaboration" with two companies. Especially if you make the connection in the US. It is a scam. 2 hours is no time. And even if you have 3 or 4 hours and there is a delay, you are basically on your own, and the companies give the responsibilities to each other."
Voordelen: "Boarding was quick and efficient."
Nadelen: "Checking online didn’t work. You could not request seats ahead of time and would tell you check in online and when you tried it would fail and told us to go to the airport which we did the day before and they told us they couldn’t do anything. Every agent told us something different about meal plans and seats. Crew onboard were not friendly and rude to us in economy. The vegetarian meal requested was awful and ended up being vegan which was not what we requested. When I asked for fruit plate off the regular menu the flight attendant never followed back up with me and so we didn’t eat any food for on a 15+ hour flight. Even though they had 100+ empty seats we couldn’t move around. Overall I was highly disappointed in their service on this flight."
Nadelen: "I was seated in business class - the attendant gave my special order food to another guest and gave me something else instead. I could have gotten very ill from this, and notified the flight attendant who shrugged it off and walked off."
Voordelen: "Rob Cumming was the supervisor crew for our section. He was very good at trying to compensate for the big problems that Qantas had created for us."
Nadelen: "ruin my seat arrangement for no reason! We were traveling as a family of 7 (2 grandparents from each side, my husband, my 4 year son and myself). We paid $30 per person per seat so that we could sit together and watch out for each other because some of the grandparents are in their 80's. However, when we checked in, we found out all our seats were re-arranged and in the worst possible way! Our 4 year old child was assigned in middle seat no where near my husband or myself. In addition, the family was divided in half, separated by the service station. I had switched seat so I can sit with my son but my husband had to sit at the other side of the service station to take care of the other half of the family because they do not speak English. I was left to attend to my 4 year old son by myself, which was hard to do. what bothers me the most is that there seem to be no obvious reason for them to re-arranged seats in such a devastating manner - it was not a full flight at all. I saw quite a few empty seats in the back. We spoke to the woman who was the head of the stewardess about the problem upon boarding, she said she would try to see what she could do, but she never got back to us at all. The seats were horrible seats for a few reason. First, there were a lot of traffic and noise from crew and other passengers because they were next to the Service station. Second, we were always the last one to receive food service because of the location. This is a problem when you have 4 year old and 80 years old who were diabetics."

Nadelen: "I booked for a window seat but I ended sitting on the aisle. I will double check the seating on my return flight so it won't happen again."
Nadelen: "The airport closure wasn't PALs fault but the absolute lack of organisation and an attitude "act of God so look after yourself" is disgusting. Flying business expected some service but had nothing and they smiled and said they rebooked me 16 days later. Other airlines would book you on different carriers but not PAL. Last time no matter what special deal they offer."
Voordelen: "Good was good"
Nadelen: "I sat in seat 77c the seat in front of me had something broken so my seat table kept falling down. Other than that it was good"
Nadelen: "American Airlines cancelled a flight because of ‘weather’ from Msy to dfw, all other flights from Msy to Dallas operated on time but were sold out. We were re booked flying through San Francisco, missing out on flying on qantas, which is what I had paid for since they are a premium airline. We were booked on virgin America and then United for the international flight. United charged us each for 2 bags totalling $150 each, despite we booked a ticket with qantas which allows 2 bags each. Virgin America honoured our 2 bags, but united refused to. United also has service and aircraft which do not match the levels of qantas which I has specifically sought out. I could not eat some of the food because of the poor quality, and this is something I’ve never done before on an international flight. Additionally their were a lack of amenities on both flights, and no food vouchers despite our travel delay of over 5 hours. This whole ordeal has cost me money, worktime, and created a lot of stress to where I have had to cancel meeting on my arrival in Sydney."
Voordelen: "Friendly customer service crew, nice amenities kit, and quick boarding."
Nadelen: "Old aircraft (737) let’s down a good company and frequent flyers."
Voordelen: "Smoked salmon kale salad delicious"
Nadelen: "Space cramped in economy"
Voordelen: "Staff was very helpful and everything moved quickly and on time!"
Nadelen: "The arm rest next to mine would not stay in the upright position. That is the biggest problem I had."
Nadelen: "Did not receive breakfast and had a cup of coffee wanted a second cup and they said they had already shut everything down and we still had 1.5 hours before landing"
Voordelen: "The crew were professional and looks the part, food was warm and tasty and they made regular checks to see if we needed water or food."
Nadelen: "Well there were 3 crying babies for a good portion of the flight which is no fault of the airline or parents it's just something that wasn't as desirable."
Voordelen: "The food, movies and service."
Voordelen: "No issues, quick and friendly."
Nadelen: "N/A"
Voordelen: "Attentive staff with great food. Only issue is seats in economy are a bit cramped."
Nadelen: "Seats a bit cramped in economy."
Voordelen: "It was a pleasant flight."
Nadelen: "I'm satisfied"
Nadelen: "Took 2.5 hours to get the first refreshments. While there was some turbulence, when they finally did get the carts rolling there were clearly time management and inventory issues. They recovered and the rest of the trip went smoothly, but not a good way to start a 15 hour flight."
Nadelen: "Delayed at takeoff but made some time back in the air and captain rearranged connecting flights for passengers. Food portions were a bit small at mealtimes."
Voordelen: "I like food and service of crew members"
Nadelen: "Yes I like it"
Voordelen: "Complimentary meals/snacks, socks, toothbrushes, eye masks, blankets and pillows"
Nadelen: "The wing in the Brisbane terminal had no charging stations and only two toilet stalls in the women's bathroom."
Voordelen: "Service and food where good"
Nadelen: "The TV screen was not responsive and headphones outlet was mest up at both seats on each flight. When you plug in headphones you get only one speaker working or non at all. We couldn't injoy intertaiment consel at all."
Nadelen: "Was seated in the center section and after getting settled and buckled in I kept smelling vomit and realized the seatbelt had dried vomit all over it. I couldn't get the flight attendant to help and finally got their attention and was told they couldn't do anything until after we were in the air. I was moved away from my family to another center seat. The flight had many open seats and we should have been kept together."
Voordelen: "Great selection of entertainment. Good pillows."
Nadelen: "I had a flight Auckland-London, booked through Emirates but operated by Qantas. The flight got to London with a delay of 2 hours 20 min, because they made us wait 2 hours 20 min more than planned in Dubai, where incidentally all the other Emirates flights had no delay, only our Qantas one. This made me lose my next flight (to Luxembourg) and have to pay for a new flight and stay that night in London. Since I had booked them separately, no one helped or offered any compensation."
Nadelen: "Paying extra for seats. Having to contact each airline to get seats together. Size of seats"
Voordelen: "Cleanliness, really courteous staff, comfortable seats, entertainment from an app :-)"
Voordelen: "registration was easy and well organized. Kosher food was perfect and served timely. Crew was polite and helping immediately. Everything was comfortable, except the quality of earphones ."
Voordelen: "Again, top quality service and support from all qantas employees. Good was yum also! And the Rv made time go by fast."
Nadelen: "All round excellent"
Nadelen: "The flight boarded 30 mins after it said it would on the boarding pass, and then was delayed further by an ill passenger. We ended up leaving about 60-90 minutes late."
Nadelen: "Delays"
Voordelen: "Got away on time"
Nadelen: "No wifi on board or entertainment"
Nadelen: "food was probably the worst airline food that I have ever tried to eat. Wasn't even able or wanted to eat it."
Voordelen: "Crew were amazing!"
Voordelen: "Quite transpatent on the issue before taking off, was appreciated :)"
Nadelen: "Some engine issue before take off ..."
