They kept replenishing the breakfast area as well. We really enjoyed our stay and ended up staying in our room longer than we thought as we had a terrace and everything was so nice and comfortable. Really liked the bar area too.

Nadelen:: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

The Square and surrounding area was extremely crowded, but the hotel somehow felt like an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle. The bed, pillows and shower were great! We chose the breakfast included option, and felt like that was a good value. Breakfast was much more than just the standard Continental fare; there were hot items available as well. Lastly, all the staff was friendly and helpful!

When my husband & guests got to the rooftop, they were seated in the restaurant. I managed to get it sorted out & we were “squeezed” in - very embarrassing. Your staff needs to advise hotel guests that RESERVATIONS are required.

Nadelen:: Value for money - this hotel was similarly priced to 5 star London hotels but it does not deliver a similar experience. Housekeeping consisted of having the bed made (no turn down service or tidying). Poor hairdryer and minibar (they’ve opted for an ‘all inclusive’ style minibar which consists of water and Coca Cola, no snacks at all - would rather a chargeable bar with wider selection if that is how the hotel intends to play it). Breakfast is weird - they have a buffet and a la carte style (all a la carte items are charged additionally - fine but not fine to charge for a cappuccino or any other type of coffee that is not filter).

Nadelen:: The pillows were "thin!" We had to use two...such a pity, especially when the beds were super comfortable, and all other amenities so pleasing! Lastly, the breakfast buffet was NOT worth the $25 to $30 that it cost, there was nothing exceptional about it! But the other meals were enjoyable.

This turned out to be more expensive than we expected and the explanation offered for these daily rate differences was not explained to our satisfaction. Also, our rooms were warm at night with insufficient air conditioning in our rooms.

Nadelen:: Front desk staff is chaotic. They were unable to provide a correct invoice after 5 requests (2x personal, 3x by e-mail, always spelling errors, always new staff dealing with issues etc). Front desk generally is mismanaged, I had to queue for check-out 15 mins while everything was dealt with already at check-in, but they refused to give an invoice then or to e-mail it automatically.

Nadelen:: The room 552 is not to be sold separately as it is right next to another room 554 with the same problem. Both rooms have an interconnecting door in between, which is far from being sound-proof. We could hear tour neighbours and they could hear us, even the slightest sounds. Very uncomfortable experience, even for one night. No privacy at all. Please do not sell those rooms and similar ones to your guests unless you sell them together to families. Or else, if you sell one room do not sell the other for the same night.

Nadelen:: Staff was so rude. The first person that checked us in around 11 said to come back 2/2:30 and our room should be ready. We came back at 2:53 and the lady at the front desk said “check in is at 3. You can wait in the lobby until 3” without event checking if our room was available. In addition, we had indicated in our reservation that our flight got in early and the hotel responded that they would try to accommodate us. So much for trying.

Nadelen:: Staff in general needs more hospitality training, especially front-desk (too many juniors). No pro-active / smiling attitude in general, no friendly chats. Bar / bar area is heavily under utilised and could be made into a nice area to hang out. I always like cozy bar areas in hotels, with good atmosphere, friendly lighting and some background music (good for booze sales as well!) - but this was missing unfortunately. 2 exceptions, bar staff Jezus and Simina were wonderful and do understand the importance of making your guests feel welcome. Breakfast - food selection is fine (full english always nice) - but personally I find a good coffee (cappuccino / espresso) very important and this is sorely missed. Simply invest in a good, self-service coffee machine and I'm sure the guests will give top marks for breakfast. Beds slightly too firm for my liking - but this is personal preference.

Buiten de douchekabine is het hotel proper. Het bed is effectief erg goed, er is geen geluidsoverlast van andere kamers (we hebben nooit iets gehoord). De ruimte die er is in de kamers werd ook duidelijk optimaal gebruikt, er was voldoende ruimte voor ons om onze spullen op te bergen.

Nadelen:: Er waren zwarte vlekjes in de douche; voor 5 sterren kan dat echt niet. Ook werd ons na vertrek nog drank aangerekend op de visa die we nooit hebben geconsumeerd, jammer. Hoe bewijs je dat je iets niet hebt gedronken NA vertrek? De televisie werkte ook geen enkele dag tijdens ons verblijf van 4 nachten. Zo is het moeilijk de speciale spiegel eens uit te proberen. We kregen het gevoel dat het zou gaan om een permanent probleem. Ook wat vreemd is dat het raam niet echt open kan, wanneer we het raam naar boven deden, kwam daar raam 2. Ik had graag de mogelijkheid gehad om af en toe de kamer te verluchten.

We walked to the west end easily to the theater district and the National Art Gallery, Trafalgar Square..so many wonderful sights to see. Right across the road from Victoria Station with easy access to the bus and tube. The staff were so available to help and provide information and direction; always friendly and professional. Loved coming in to the wine and cheese selection in the afternoon; a lovely most welcoming touch. Can't say enough about the high standards of this hotel; would recommend it to anyone staying in London for a short time wanting to see the best of what it has to offer. Thank you!!

Nadelen:: Only a very small observation rather than complaint but we felt the breakfast bar was too close to the main reception making it a bit awkward & crowded to get to breakfast buffet when others guest where checking in & out. Maybe if it was moved to the corner as you come through the front door where there is a bit more space & away from the activity around the main reception might address this. But as I said a very minor issue.

Nadelen:: The size of the room. A very efficient use of space with every inch accounted for. It was indeed comfortable and provided everything we needed but small by North American standards. Everything else including the lovely Cadbury's hot chocolate made up for the lack of space.

Nadelen:: We had the worst nights sleep we have ever had in a hotel. There is obviously a bar or club within the hotel and the music played at a ridiculous level until 2am! We were on the first floor and possibly directly above the club so the base of the music vibrates through our whole room!!!!

Nadelen:: Lifts far too slow to close doors and to get up to each floor Main restaurant menu far to fancy, none of my tea wanted to eat there, 90% of people there, chose drinks and not good. Menu was trying to be Michelin, when nice good food, without silly 'trying too hard' names and combinations would have worked. Staff in restaurant were slow. The exec happy hour canapes were poor and not nice. Drinks too 30mins to arrive, Canapes had to remind them 3 times. Air con machine making banging and clicking sounds, woke us both up at 5am. Not good, would not sleep in hotel again, unless these issues are fixed.

Nadelen:: Old building and the service was very poor. Our request for an early check in was not met and saw most of the guests loitering in the lobby until their rooms were ready. Had to wait for 4 1/2 hrs to get the room (till the normal check in time). Looks like they stick to their normal check in time irrespective of the availability of the rooms. Fire alarm went off at 5.30 am the following day and no one knew the reason for it. It was cold and raining outside and there were no umbrellas or a shelter to go out of the hotel. Staff were not properly trained for such a situation and they gave us different answers for the alarm to go off. Fire truck came with only two fire men and after about 40 mts allowed to go in. Alarm went off 3 times again the same day around 11.30pm and yet again the same routine. We were scared as hell for the rest of the 3 nights as we had no option left and were on the 4th floor and no escape if a fire breaks out. The breakfast was awful and no choice at all. From the second day onward we opted to go out to have breakfast. Its definitely not worth the money we paid.

Nadelen:: Since I have been staying over the years I have seen a marked deterioration in the hotel rooms and in general. The hotel requires some investment in specific renovation. I stayed twice in September and noted that in one of the rooms the fridge had been ripped out and the woodwork was badly damaged.

Voordelen:: The location - Victoria station is a stone's throw away and there are some good shops, pubs and restaurants nearby The staff were brilliant and very helpful The breakfast was ideal for us (cereal, toast and tea, coffee and Apple juice) though fruit would have been appreciated
Nadelen:: The room was tiny - especially the bathroom The shower had good pressure but no adjustable height so felt as if I was drowning at times The wifi had to be paid for There was a light switch coming off the wall The room was freezing The room was in need of a real makeover - the carpet was so worn that it was turning from red to brown

Voordelen:: Location great. Reception staff or owner friendly. Towels every day .
Nadelen:: Small twin bedroom. Only white toast no brown. Had to ask for tea coffee sugar every day. No happy about the nail in the floor outside the shower. Which I constantly stood on. Tv too far away to watch properly. This was only our room not sure about other rooms.

Nadelen:: Looked like something out of the 1970s towels and bedding had holes in decor was disgusting shower cubicle was falling apart didn’t want to spend any more time than absolutely necessary on the hotel. Didn’t partake in free breakfast as didn’t feel clean enough to eat in

Nadelen:: De resenties klopten, achterstallig onderhoud, vlekken in de handdoeken die ze er niet uitgewassen kregen en het bed was alles behalve comfortabel. Bij het ontbijt alleen jam en boter voor op de boterham, naast melk en muesli. Erg gehorig boven ons zaten een stel olifanten leek het, vaak sirenes gehoord 's nachts.

Nadelen:: Superkleine kamers, WiFi moet je voor betalen. Vloerbedekking vies. Ontbijt bestaat uit toast en jam, verder niks. Ontbijtzaal (vloerbedekking) vies.

Voordelen:: There were no crossaints not even brown bread or soya milk.it doesn't cater for everyone.Not even fruit or a variety of juices.
Nadelen:: As above. Room was dusty and run down. Bedding cover smelled and carpet also smelled.

Nadelen:: The room was filthy for which there is no excuse. Included breakfast was laughably disgusting. The lady for want of a better term of the word who seems to be an owner is very very rude and abused me for using the wrong disgusting coffee pot that was an old rusty perculator from the 1980’s

Nadelen:: The room needs paint! The mattress was very poor. The bathroom needs to be improved. The toilet seat was broken. This was a POOR room. We can not recommend this hotel.
