Voordelen:: I’ve stayed there many times and it’s always a pleasure. The location is perfect, by the station so you can get anywhere so quickly. The building is gorgeous with so many common spaces to unwind and chill out. It’s a good place to meet new people. I’ve been traveling around Europe over the last two years and Palmers is the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed. The staff is a plus as well. Always nice and helpful guys.

Voordelen:: Het hostel was sfeervol ingericht, zowel van binnen als van buiten. De dorm met 18 bedden voelde niet massaal doordat het in 2 lagen was verdeeld.

Nadelen:: De douche had alleen gloeiend heet water. Wellicht was er elders nog een andere douche die het wel goed deed.

Voordelen:: Beds were clean, bathroom was clean, overall look of bistro was very nice

Nadelen:: Wish there had been a bottom sheet on the bed

Voordelen:: Privacy curtains round bunk are great. Bunks are solid and don't move. Cheap price, great location near tube, pretty quiet at night even tho it's a hostel in London.

Nadelen:: There was a heatwave and no air con meant room was very hot. There was a fan but it didn't do much and was noisy. But it's rare that the weather gets so hot so it wouldn't put me off staying again.

Voordelen:: Love the place ... Michael is a legend !!

Voordelen:: quite surprised with the organisation and safety at the bedrooms and cleanliness at the wcs, very easy to use, very neat. The house is beautiful, the ambiance very agreable and quite cosmopolitan! Will return and reccomend for sure

Voordelen:: Lovely staff, super nice building, good breakfast, curtains for extra privacy and lights above your own bed. Close to the tube station, ideal.

Nadelen:: The mattresses were a bit thin.

Voordelen:: They bake their pastries. Was defo a perk -the price depends on each platform,

Nadelen:: Bed assignment, guests' manner was quite awful.

Voordelen:: Rustige locatie en makkelijk te vinden, zeer behulpzaam personeel Mooie, gezellige accommodatie 's nachts zeer rustig Goed geslapen in een kamer van 10 personen Hygiënische douches en wc's Je voelt je snel op je gemak

Voordelen:: Het gebouw is meer dan 150 jaar oud waardoor je een beetje terug in de tijd gaat. Prachtig!

Nadelen:: Wij hadden een tweepersoonskamer met gedeelde badkamer. Het zou fijn zijn geweest als er een gootsteen op de kamer was. Nu moesten we naar de gedeelde badkamer hiervoor, maar er waren enkel gootstenen op de toiletten dus als deze bezet waren, moest je wachten om bijvoorbeeld je tanden te poetsen.

Voordelen:: Nice staff that are very friendly and helpful with tips on London! Extra showers and toilets outside rooms are very helpful when people are using the ones in your room!

Nadelen:: Not having WiFi in rooms is a bit of a pain.

Voordelen:: The location, food menu

Voordelen:: It was great, nice room and bathroom (I got room for 4), big kitchen, very nice staff

Nadelen:: I would just like in kitchen to offer some free things like tea or sugar, paid breakfast could improve their coffee (too watery) and add cheese at least, for these two reasons I didn´t buy it after first day, but they advise you to look first and pay if you like so it is not like you don´t know what are you paying for Like it was said here before, windows can´t be opened and in warm weather it would make dificult to sleep there, fans will not help much.

Voordelen:: I was impressed that the hostel had facilities in place to make it accessible to people with physical disabilities The location is very convenient and close to underground, and bus station. Also the hostel is cleaned everyday. The internet is strong and only in the common areas which was nice to see lots of people and socialize I stayed at the time where the hot water heater had problems and the hostel refunded 50% of the cost, I liked their effort

Nadelen:: Majority of the staff are helpful and friendly but there is an area for improvement. For example one male staff of indian decent usually didn’t like to help find solution for any problem and put blame on guest or just avoid responsibility.

Voordelen:: Will always stay here whenever they have availability. The best hostel I have stayed so far in London.

Voordelen:: Welcoming and clean and great location

Nadelen:: Problem with the boiler so not hot water but staff offered a discount and an alternative venue to shower etc

Voordelen:: Location is easy access to the central London. I stayed in 4 pax's room and it excessed my expectations

Voordelen:: Nice staff, they refilled soap upon request once we realized it was empty. Overall status of our 6 bed room was OK, could be a bit cleaner and tidy. We could leave luggage before checking in and after checking out in the dedicated room which also has lockers. I'd definitely recommend for low budget families and backpackers. There's Tesco Express and Sainsbury nearby. The bedroom was adapted for wheelchair in case of need. Solid bunk beds that don't shake when someone moved.

Nadelen:: Not enough warm water on the 1st night for the 6 of us. Wi-Fi in bedrooms is not intended to be available (only in common areas like reception and kitchen). Bathroom was a bit smelly and sink tiny.

Voordelen:: Goede ligging. Schoon, hygiënisch...

Nadelen:: Er was helaas geen heet water ivm defect. Dat was heel vervelend. Ook accommodatie vond dat Erg vervelend en bood excuses aan. Daardoor kregen we een 50% refund op de kosten van de kamer en mogelijkheid gebruik te maken van nabij gelegen hostel...

Voordelen:: the kitchen is spacy with enough utensils that you can easily cook and staffs clean the kitchen everyday.The bed is comfortable with clean bedsheet. The location is very central.

Nadelen:: The bathroom within the room do not have hot water.

Voordelen:: Great has lace to stay. The staff are excellent. Always courteous and doing their best to keep the place tidy.

Voordelen:: It's closer to the supermarket, Underground and bus station. I will stay there again on my next visit to London.

Voordelen:: Hostel is very clean, toilets are most of the time clean, hand soap and shower gel provided in toilets, there is are hooks to hang clothes in the shower, good smell everywhere, rooms and beds are clearly numbered.

Nadelen:: No steps free access to upstairs rooms. Can't change a reservation made the same day.

Voordelen:: clean, quiet, fair price. However, the lift were broken for more than 3 days and it was not fixed.

Nadelen:: How rude the staff member was checking me in. For someone who's never stayed in a hostel before she really put me off she wasn't welcoming at all.

Voordelen:: Goede bedden, schoon, mooie locatie

Nadelen:: Ontbijt was 2 dagen te weinig of bijna op doordat grote groepen ons voor waren. Lift werkte niet en zware bagage moesten we zelf de trappen op sjouwen. Niet echt vriendelijk personeel

Nadelen:: Het bestek is niet goed gewassen.Aan meerdere lepels messen en vorken zat nog iets

Voordelen:: Clean, quiet, easy to get around. Big room and bathroom relative to the cost.

Nadelen:: They're very strict about check-in time, which was kind of silly given how uncrowded it was. Also the bed could be a little better.

Nadelen:: This hostel asked me to changer the room for every night as I travelled alone. I reserved 5 nights and slept in 4 different rooms. The suggestion of the staff was either I accept it or ask for a refund. The explication was that as individual traveler, we need to move for the group traveler. So, I packed my luggage every morning and made a new check in every afternoon. What an inconvenience! The Hostel has an astonishing policy and it's totally unfair. By moving the clients in order to fully occupy the room, they make a maximum of benefit.

Voordelen:: The location is good. The breakfast was value for money. There was a reception area where people can wait.

Nadelen:: I got insect bites on my neck and arm after just 1 day of staying here. I had the biggest problem with the shower situation. I thought it would be like a dorm, but it was not. There was only like 2 shower areas for the whole floor of many rooms and many beds! It was always occupied and I had to wake up very early just to shower. Plus it was always wet! The shower head was not detachable. It was very disgusting. I had the most inconvenient shower experience ever and I have been to many hostels. Someone might reply that I should have told the management about this etc.. But what use will it be? Every person who showers will get the whole floor wet because there was no glass partition. Only a disgusting shower curtain. Even if they clean after I complain, the same disgusting thing will happen again RIGHT AFTER the next person comes out of it. The receptionists do not seem very into the job either. They were professionals that is true but they were not trying further than that? I am talking about the little things, nothing major. Like if asked about a good restaurant, they claim to have no knowledge about it? They are not like other receptionists in other hostels who are friendly and can talk to you about the hostel’s vicinity. I also did not like the fact that an early check in has to cost 5gbp. I felt terrible about it. It was not very welcoming of them to do that. I will understand if the room is not ready... but if it is already ready 1 hour before, then charging 5gbp is obviously greed. Do yourself a favor and book the room WITH the shower inside. That is less disgusting.

Voordelen:: Location was great. Breakfast was value for money. Wifi was fast. Bathroom was clean. Shower head still not detachable but at least bathroom not as disgusting as the shared ones. I booked a different room before in the same hostel and TRUST ME. You have to book this one because this is cleaner.

Nadelen:: This was my 2nd time. The first time I had a horrible time and I still can’t get that disgusting shower situation out of my mind. Also none of the rooms seem to have a charging station near the bed. Always far and it made me paranoid. I could not charge my phones overnight. Smart beds will go a long way! Several other hostels in big cities have that type. Hope you will look into that ‘coz you need an upgrade. Your staff hopefully can be more friendly next time? I feel that the staff of hostels should be the welcoming kind.

Voordelen:: - vriendelijk personeel - bed kon je afzonderen met gordijntjes - valies kon in locker - propere douche en wc - niet zover van metrohalte

Nadelen:: - weinig stopcontacten - krijgt geen slot op de locker dicht te doen. Koop deze zeker op voorhand - bagage wegzetten kost 1pond - lavabo bij wc en douche liep niet goed meer door - WiFi enkel in inkomhal

Voordelen:: As I've said in other reviews I stay here a lot and highly recommend it . Staff are really helpful and the place is very clean.

Voordelen:: Het was een gezellige hostel! Het ontbijt was best ok en de hostel lag niet ver van de underground.

Nadelen:: Misschien iets meet variatie qua ontbijt en een betere smaak van de juice in de de juice automaat.

Nadelen:: The place is way too noisy. The room I was put in was tiny for 4 people, there was no sanitary bin provided in the ensuite bathroom and the shared bathroom besides the room had a hand drier the same wall as my bed was. Massive green light above the door signaling the exit in case of fire and leaving the room bright green for the whole night. I barely slept and having a tough day at work as a result.

Voordelen:: Definitely one of my favourite place to stay. The facilities are good. Clean, safe and comfortable place to stay.

Nadelen:: Location being far from center and tubes.

Voordelen:: the staff was lovely very helpful rooms are clean everything met expectations and more comfortable bed and a lot of space, breakfast was good also

Voordelen:: I booked this at the last minute and was only going to be in London overnight. Hostel's have certainly changed from the old youth hostel days. An interesting and friendly place which I fully intend visiting again. Not the place for business trips I know, but great value and worth staying at. Good breakfast included as well. What more could you ask for £20.

Nadelen:: I honestly couldn't find fault, even if I tried.

Voordelen:: Goede locatie en prijs en een gezellige pub beneden.

Nadelen:: Te weinig douches en WC's. In de ochtend sta je in de rij voor de WC's en deze zijn ook niet erg schoon

Voordelen:: de bedden waren heerlijk zacht en de dekens super fijn. de douches en toiletten waren bijzonder schoon

Nadelen:: de kussens waren zo hard en dik dat ik er moeilijk op kon slapen en er was 1 lamp die niet uit kon, dit was erg lastig.

Voordelen:: The hostel is located very close to Waterloo train station which makes it possible explore the important places of London on foot. Rooms and bathroom were very clear.

Voordelen:: Everything else.

Nadelen:: Some noise from some customers.

Nadelen:: Central location, very nice staff, quality bedsheets. Maybe not the dreamed toilet and shower facilities

Voordelen:: The pub is great for laying back and practicing some people watching and they always play really nice music. You get a 10% discount in food and drinks, burgers are delicious. Staff is very nice!! Very close to train station and a few bus stops.

Nadelen:: Cigarette smoke from people outside in the garden gets in the rooms sometimes, but only until the pub closes at around 00:30am

Voordelen:: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the hostel was modern and clean, just like the pub downstairs. The breakfast which was added on in the morning was delicious. Can not get any better than that for the price

Nadelen:: Nothing negative to say.

Voordelen:: Clean room, luggage storage, bar opened all night. Good for a brief stay or for travellers on a super tight budget.

Voordelen:: First of all, amazing staff, so helpful and kind. Location could not be better, really close to public transportation (underground and buses). The discount in the pub is a nice touch too.

Nadelen:: The shared room got really stuffy in the night, so I guess some AC could help to keep humidity out

Voordelen:: Everything, the food, the drinks. All the guests are really cool. And all employees are hard working and nice.

Voordelen:: Everyone was extremely friendly! The discounts are very good if you stay there, and everything is relatively clean, especially considering the price. If you are looking for a hostel that is well connected this is great, 5 minutes from the tube and 1 minute from multiple bus routes.
