Voordelen:: Great to be so close to the Grand Place, easy to walk so many places. Excellent restaurant and services within the hotel as well as within easy walking distance. Quiet rooms. Hotel provided excellent individual services including noting my birthday from my passport and surprising me with excellent Belgian Chocolate cake unsolicited.

Voordelen:: Breakfast was one of the highlights of my stay. The buffet was rich and varied, including Belgian specialities like fresh waffles, and of very good quality. The location is also a big plus, in the charming Sablon Square and within walking distance to the Grande Place.

Voordelen:: Make your own Belgian waffles at breakfast -- hard to beat. Hotel with character and history, but with modern amenities and upgrades. Location second to none for EU business.

Nadelen:: Old school fitness room. Good for a jogger or biker, not so great for current fitness trends, with little space to do a workout. No complimentary water, and drinking a bottle of still water from your room's fridge will cost you EUR 5.

Voordelen:: Suite had recently been refurbished and included excellent facilities. It was a quieter room overlooking the rear of the hotel which I prefer. Staff at check in and out are always friendly, welcoming me back and efficient.

Nadelen:: My usual complaint is the cost of the breakfast, hence I take breakfast outside the hotel.

I had a defective shower head but they fixed it almost immediately when I reported it. I enjoyed the breakfast and the sitting area. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I’m taking the train to other cities.

Nadelen:: The immediate neighborhood around the hotel is a bit bland, but there is plenty to see just a couple of blocks away.

Voordelen:: Location is amazing - just stone throw away from central station. Also, its relatively quiet at night! So, good choice for business! It's also good if you are traveling for holiday - at least you can get some nice peaceful rest!

Nadelen:: I just spent one night in this hotel and I was on my own. I have been leaving in Brussels for over 20 years and I've passed by this hotel hundreds times but never stayed there so this time I decided to book a night at Le Chatelain. I know it's a 5 stars hotel so I was expecting a 5 stars room. It was a tiny one (which wouldn't have bothered me eventually) located on the 3rd floor and the view from the window was awful a depressing (a dirty grey wall at short distance). See picture attached. I cannot stand air conditioning so I switched it off but a kind of fan noise was still there...and it stayed with me all night, I could hardly sleep a couple of hours. No way to turn it off! I guess it was the bathroom ventilation. The bathroom was also tiny and the pullout shower head located in the bathtub didn't stay properly in place-straight-so I had to hold it in my hands while showering to avoid water going all over the bathroom. I had one nail broken and was looking for a nail file but there wasn't any. No body lotion either! The bathroom bin didn't open with the pedal so I had to open it manually. I always appreciate a chamomile tea or tisane before sleeping but the coffee station only contained 2 teabags, no caffeine-free infusion at all. In a 5 stars hotel you should not experience all this so I was extremely disappointed and won't return to Le Chatelain.

Nadelen:: acks charging USB ports in room. Light over the bad tub/shower could add to the qulaity of experience. Some staff seem to still be in training. Some mistakes wth orders at lounge: forgot some things nad/or did not listen carefully and so the order never came. A little pricey, in my opinion. Male manager at lounge on Tuesday evening around 10pm was not very engaging, a little short in his replies to questions and did not smile.

En doucheset die prachtig voor douche en wc kan werken sluit douche niet goed af waardoor vloer van badkamer in no time blank van het water staat. Verder wel heerlijke douche en op zich heel functionele badkamer

Voordelen:: Werkelijk prachtig uitzicht over Brussel in de deluxe kamer (mijn belangrijkste reden om dit hotel te boeken). Mooie moderne kamer. Alles schoon. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid.

Nadelen:: Vond de ontvangst (check-in) wat kil. Geen lachje, geen vrolijkheid. Ook moest ik mijn credit card trekken omdat er 50 euro borg (pre-auth) op mn credit card tijdelijk ingehouden moest worden. Toen ik aangaf dat ik al meer dan 200 euro vooruitbetaald had maakte dat niet uit. Moest nog steeds. Vreemd en onlogisch. Dat was het enige minpuntje.

Nadelen:: A female staff member was very grumpy with us when we asked her if we could have our shower gel replaced by housekeeping while we were out- she disappeared off without saying anything then came back and gave us two small bottles of a different brand to take up ourselves, instead of sending housekeeping as we'd requested. She then got annoyed when we said we were on our way out, so could she just send housekeeping up to do it? When we got back.... it hadn't been done, so we had to ask reception again. When we checked in on the Saturday evening, we were told by the check-in guy on reception that breakfast was until 12pm. We weren't warned that this was on Sundays only. We even responded "that's an amazing perk - is that every day? We have never been to a hotel that does it until so late before" and the check-in guy agreed. When we got to the breakfast room at 11:30am on the Monday morning, the breakfast stuff had long gone, and we were told by staff that breakfast was only until 10:30am on weekdays. So we missed breakfast that day! Not great service from the check-in guy, considering the price we had paid for the room, you expect breakfast, and not to be misinformed!

Voordelen:: The hotel seems to be renovated recently. Rooms & Bathrooms are clean. Rooms are fully automated. Wifi is free and fast. There are so many elevators, We never waited for one.

Nadelen:: Hotel management is really bad. My booking was for a certain number of nights. And it was a Free-Cancellation booking. I decided to leave after 2 nights and I was told I can't. They claim that once I've checked in, I can not change the number of nights. They also claim that this their policy. After checking out, I read their policy and it doesn't mention anything of this sort. Sorry for my bad review. But they wouldn't even try to help.

Voordelen:: de grandeur van een prachtig 5 sterren hotel het personeel was uitermate vriendelijk, van portier tot receptionist(e), tot barman de bar is supergezellig en nodigt uit om er urenlang te blijven zitten :-)

Nadelen:: Wij vonden het wel zeer jammer dat er zelfs voor de gasten van het hotel moest betaald worden voor toegang tot de wellness en het zwembad 25€/dag/persoon. op het vasttapijt van de kamer waren vuile bruine plekken, waarschijnlijk van een hond die zich niet meer kon houden, hebben dit gemeld aan de receptie maar zonder gevolg.

Voordelen:: Our stay at Tangla was extremely enjoyable, with the highlights being the gym, pool and sauna that was available. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and much more nicely laid out and directed than equivalent hotel rooms. The bathroom and toilet were separate, and the rainfall shower was particularly nice. The staff were also super helpful, answering the few questions we had, and assisting us when needed.

Nadelen:: The only thing I would consider a downside is that the hotel is located quite far from the city centre. It's not a deal breaker as the metro and bus stops are a relatively short walk from the hotel, but just something you should be aware of.

Voordelen:: Practical location, beautiful room, sauna and steamroom, friedly staff, good matrass, quietness

Nadelen:: almost everything was enjoyable. but the wifi connection is up for improvement

Nadelen:: I had gone over for an operation and had booked and pairs for a car service that I was told the hotel would sort out. When I asked for this serious they told me there was no cars and shrugged his shoulders. And I was left to walk to to euro star which wasn’t to far but after having the op was left in a lot of pain. Apart from this the hotel was nice. And the other staff where more than helpful.

Nadelen:: Het bed je zakte in het midden door omdat jet 2 losse matrassen waren & het rook naar honden

Nadelen:: De doorzichtige deur van de wc/badkamer was niet echt fijn

Voordelen:: Locatie was prettig, op een kwartier loopafstand. De kamers zijn ruim en netjes. Ontbijt is eenvoudig, maar prima kwaliteit.

Nadelen:: De inrichting is voornamelijk zwart/wit, dat oogt sober, zonde. Dit geldt voor zowel de slaapkamers als de rest van de inrichting van het hotel.

Voordelen:: Superb hotel situated in the Arabic area of town, 15 minutes walk from all the tourist area. Staff were fabulous, speaking 5 languages that I could pick up. Secure underground parking under the hotel. Breakfast was everything and a bit more. Delicious.

Nadelen:: Nothing

Voordelen:: Just a short walk from the Eurostar train station. Despite arriving after midnight, I managed to get a good night's sleep before an early start the following day.

Nadelen:: The WiFi wasn’t very good I had to keep signing in every time I was using my phone :/

Voordelen:: Location is excellent, in square with many restaurants and bars, but also very close to EU institutions in particular. Staff very attentive and efficient. Rooms a reasonable size. Breakfast good.

Nadelen:: Shower located in bath rather than separate. Bed not very comfortable as too much padding over mattress and duvet too heavy in warm weather. No mini bar in room.

Voordelen:: 1040 dinner was great although expensive as to be expected. The hotel offers a number of tolietries including a shaving kit. Bed was soft due to a foam insert. Allowed us to upgrade to luxury room. Offered luggage storage was our room was being readied. Soundproof. Great black out curtains.

Nadelen:: Breakfast flavor/quality isn’t what you would expect for one hotel of this quality.

Voordelen:: Super comfortable bed

Voordelen:: Ontbijt was compleet en verzorgd. Het hotel is aan een leuk plein met veel terrasjes en op wandelafstand van het Jubelpark. Mooi en rustig terras op de 7de verdieping. Parking onder het hotel.

Voordelen:: Location was great for both walking and using the metro. The staff was pleasant and helpful at all times. The lobby is lovely. The bed was comfy and the hotel itself was quiet. Room size is very good. The staff provided a nice fan for our room.

Nadelen:: Our room (3rd floor) was facing the shopping street and was incredibly loud on some nights, well into the early morning. There is AC but it was too cold outside to use so it only put out hot air. Opening the window to get fresh air was not an option at times because of the noise.

Voordelen:: Heel schoon, heel goed bed, aardig personeel, fantastisch ontbijt.

Nadelen:: Badkamer is heel klein en de eerste ochtend bleken de douche en de wastafel niet goed door te lopen. Dit is wel meteen verholpen. Huiswijn (roomservice) vond ik persoonlijk niet lekker (rode wijn).

Voordelen:: Some members of the staff really tried to accommodate our needs. One of them seek out and found a yogurt at 10:00 in the evening for our little son. This has been really appreciated

Nadelen:: Even though we mentioned the time of our arrival, our room was not ready. So we left our baggage and walked around the city returning in the evening. We go to our room and see that they have offered us a twin bed room, instead of a single double one, even though we have been very explicit on this in the time of booking. This was really important to us, since we intended to sleep our two years old son in the bed, and with a twin bed there is the danger to fall in between. We notified immediately the reception on this, and they told us that all rooms were occupied at the moment. So we asked for a baby cot. Indeed, they bring us one, but it was broken. Moreover, they did not bring a blanket for the baby cot, and when we asked for one they brought only the blanket, but no linen. The next day the management indeed apologised, and brought us a proper baby cot, but we had a difficult night already. In addition, the cleaning of the bathroom was not always perfect. Once the inside of the trash bin was left outside (even though I have to note that it was fortunately clean). The area of the hotel is quite near the centre, but after dark it becomes a little dangerous, not too much, but enough to be a little preoccupied, especially if you carry a a baby. Overall, we have been rather dissatisfied with our 3 nights stay there, especially given the price paid (more than 150€ per night). One would expect a much more professional job from a 4 star hotel. Some members of the staff were indeed genuinely hospitable, but other were just rude. The organisational problems that we have encountered were in my experience just unacceptable. Overall, I would recommend a different option. With that amount of money one can find something definitely better.

Nadelen:: I had to call the front desk for the breakfast form every night...and they give me what i asked but there were extra food like cheese cuts, fruits, nuts etc..that i didn't ask. Such a waste. Got disappointed for that since its a 4star hotel.

Voordelen:: Great location for sightseeing and shoping. Nice and friendly staff. Very good breakfast.

Nadelen:: Not good enough sound proof windows in the street view rooms.

Voordelen:: The stuff was helpful and kind. We just leave our postcards on the reception and they said they will take care about it. We get the room Nr.62 and it was just perfect on the top of the hotel (6th floor). Was big and and comfortable with private sauna and terrace. In the room we had everything what we needed: iron, ironing board, hairdryer, coffee machine with capsules.....

Nadelen:: The hotel is in the city center, but Brussels city center is really big and from the Grand Place is around 30-40 min walking. ...but anyway the hotel is perfect!

Voordelen:: Staff was above all helpful, accessible, attentive. A real professional team, from the kitchen to the front desk to cleaning crew. Location ended up being better than we thought, between the Grand Place in one direction and EU/Museum hub in the other. Easy 7 min walk to the metro.

Nadelen:: No drawers! Staying for a week, we wanted to unpack into the closet and drawers. The bed-side tables could have had drawers, and it would have been easier to organize our belongings. We also wanted the room in the photo and thought we'd gotten that room, a combination of modern-old world European decor. We got just a typical, any-hotel styled room.

Voordelen:: Great location, nice menu, very big and comfortable rooms

Voordelen:: Very clean. Good Location. Nice welcome when we arrived to Check-In. Our Room was very nice. We used the restaurant one night...food was good but service was slow...we weren’t in a rush, so it was fine.

Nadelen:: Everything was nice but the room Needs another waste basket near the desk...we had to keep going into the Bathroom and Shower Room to throw anything out. Also, in the Bathroom there was no place to hang the hand towel...there was a Small Hook to the right side but like under the sink... towel kept falling. We used the shelf instead - No Biggie.

Voordelen:: Knappe, grote kamer, spijtig genoeg twee bedden waar we er één hadden gevraagd maar er was wel een mouw aan te passen. Bedden heel goed en ruim, goede badkamer, spijtig genoeg vergat het onderhoudspersoneel om de tissues aan te vullen. Uitstekend ontbijt met een grote keuze aan brood. Smaak van de koffie mocht wel wat straffer.

Nadelen:: Spijtig genoeg werden er aanpassingswerken uitgevoerd om brandtechnische redenen, daarom al eens oponthoud aan de lift, ook omdat het onderhoudspersoneel de enige overgebleven lift gebruikte. Geen Nederlands aan de receptie, een oud zeer in Brussel. Ik versta dat er stagiaires opgeleid moeten worden, maar één Nederlandstalige vaste kracht moet toch mogelijk zijn.

Voordelen:: Great location. Very helpful staff at the front desk. They allowed an early check in. Flavored water and hot beverages at the reception was a nice touch.

Nadelen:: There was some renovation work at the time we stayed, but it was not an issue.

Voordelen:: The location was good and the hotel has enough facilities.

Nadelen:: We found a cockroach on the couch, but they replaced our room very easily and quickly.

Nadelen:: Bathrooms don't match the rest of the property design, clearly a hotel that has been taken over but not invested in too much.

Voordelen:: zeer goed ontbijt en ruime keuze. Zeer rustige buurt. weinig lawaai te horen in de kamer. Bedden waren goed.

Nadelen:: Wel niet direct bij Brussel centrum. Aan het onthaal zéér vriendelijk,maar waar is onze Nederlandse taal gebleven!

Voordelen:: De accommodatie in orde, net en modern. Ruime kamer en stil.

Nadelen:: Ontbijt is wel aan de dure kant

Nadelen:: Parking is rather expensive, even if you only park your car for a couple of hours you have to pay the daily rate of 25 euros

Nadelen:: Twice had housekeeping come into room, once while sleeping other time in the bathroom, second time no one knocked

Nadelen:: I had made a booking online and had made an error in the date. 10 minutes after the booking I called the hotel to ask them if they could move my reservation to the correct date, at a new tariff if applicable. They refused! So I lost the money. It goes without saying that for my new booking at the correct date, I opted for a different hotel. I really think it was very uncommercial from the hotel's end!
