Voordelen:: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Nadelen:: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

When we checked on booking.com there were rooms available. When we informed them of this, the suites suddenly became available. They’re just after your money all of the time. Nadelen:: The rooms are not very sound proof we had extremely loud neighbors several nights. More of business hotel. There were not many things to help tourists book restaurants or get around. The staff didn't have guidance on hop on hop off buses or tours. We figured it out on our own but I think in other hotels there is more help for that type of thing.

Voordelen:: De "Executive Lounge" met gratis versnaperingen was een leuke bonus. Het uitzicht was schitterend. Zicht op Big Ben en Buckingham Palace vanuit onze kamer. De locatie in het centrum van Londen is handig. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Service via sms is leuk en snel.
Nadelen:: Kamer was een beetje gedateerd. Hout van wastafel was beschadigd. Niets gedaan met info dat het onze relatieverjaardag was. Bloempje of berichtje ware leuk geweest.

Voordelen:: Wij bleven met vier in één van de appartementen die ook worden aangeboden door het hotel. De locatie is fantastisch! Vlakbij South Kensington station van de metro, vlakbij Natural History Museum en V&A, maar toch in een rustige straat. Er zijn ook voldoende zaken in de buurt, zoals een bv. een Waitrose supermarkt, maar ook koffie- en ontbijtzaken. Het appartement is heel gezellig om in te blijven, leuke keuken en moderne badkamer met regendouche. Positief punt: we vroegen naar badjassen (die normaal niet worden uitgegeeld aan gasten in de appartementen) en die kwam men wel vlot brengen. Ik overweeg zeker hier terug naartoe te komen met een groep van 4!

Voordelen:: Wij bleven met vier in één van de appartementen die ook worden aangeboden door het hotel. De locatie is fantastisch! Positief punt: we vroegen naar badjassen (die normaal niet worden uitgegeeld aan gasten in de appartementen) en die kwam men wel vlot brengen. Ik overweeg zeker hier terug naartoe te komen met een groep van 4!
Nadelen:: We hebben een paar kleine bemerkingen: de tweede slaapkamer was zodanig klein dat het bed er amper in paste, de kussens van de bedden waren nogal plat, enkel glas zorgt wel voor wat straatlawaai, er is geen telefoon aanwezig om de receptie te contacteren, en de gang naar het appartement (dat in een gebouw aan de overkant van de straat ligt) rook heel erg naar de sigaretten en was niet echt proper.

Voordelen:: We chose this hotel as it was near to the Royal Albert Hall, and we had bought tickets to a concert for my partner's birthday, which I had mentioned when booking. The hotel is in a perfect location and they kindly upgraded our room and gave my partner a birthday card, such a lovely gesture. The staff are very friendly and helpful; particularly Andrea on reception who was wonderful. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

There is a special person that instructs each guest on which breakfast they are entitled to have and that the hot breakfast is extra. Not very classy... I have a feeling they spend more money doing that and creating a negative vibe, as opposed to letting everyone have some scrambled eggs (how much can they cost?) and a good impression of the hotel.

Menu was trying to be Michelin, when nice good food, without silly 'trying too hard' names and combinations would have worked. Staff in restaurant were slow. The exec happy hour canapes were poor and not nice. Drinks too 30mins to arrive, Canapes had to remind them 3 times. Air con machine making banging and clicking sounds, woke us both up at 5am. Not good, would not sleep in hotel again, unless these issues are fixed.

Nadelen:: Old building and the service was very poor. Our request for an early check in was not met and saw most of the guests loitering in the lobby until their rooms were ready. Had to wait for 4 1/2 hrs to get the room (till the normal check in time). Looks like they stick to their normal check in time irrespective of the availability of the rooms. Fire alarm went off at 5.30 am the following day and no one knew the reason for it. It was cold and raining outside and there were no umbrellas or a shelter to go out of the hotel. Staff were not properly trained for such a situation and they gave us different answers for the alarm to go off. Fire truck came with only two fire men and after about 40 mts allowed to go in. Alarm went off 3 times again the same day around 11.30pm and yet again the same routine. We were scared as hell for the rest of the 3 nights as we had no option left and were on the 4th floor and no escape if a fire breaks out. The breakfast was awful and no choice at all. From the second day onward we opted to go out to have breakfast. Its definitely not worth the money we paid.

Nadelen:: Er was geeeeen service!!! Wij werden nooit aangesproken bij het binnengaan van onze hotel. Personeel is super onvriendelijk. Ik heb niemand zien lachen gedurende 5 dagen dat we daar waren. Kamers werden niet deftig gekuist. Enkel je bed wordt opgemaakt en grond gestofzuigd. Bekers werden niet vervangen. Thee zakjes niet aangevuld. Eigenlijk was alles dat vuil was nog steeds in de kamer behalve de handdoeken dat wel vervangen werden. Onze kamer werd ook niet gepoetst toen we een kaartje hadden laten hangen om dat wel te doen. Onze kamer sleutel werkte niet. Dus wij moesten bijna altijd naar balie gaan om dat terug te activeren, alsof dat al niet lastig genoeg voor ons was, keek het personeel ook nog eens onaangenaam als we eraan kwamen om dat weer te activeren. Kamer was super klein! Slechtste ervaring ooit en dat nog in London. Holiday inn was super teleurstellend. Nooit meer naar daar

Nadelen:: The furniture was dated and old. The chair did not feel solid and everything in the room looked and felt like it was at least 15 years old and had not been updated. The bathroom (whilst a good size) had a musty smell to it, which added to the feeling that this place needed an upgrade. The TV had very few channels on it (Freeview has more variety) and i couldn't even find the basic channels like BBC, ITV etc. There was very little room for hanging clothes since half the width of the (door-less) handing space was take up by the ironing board. The AC was very strong and the fan speed at its lowest was high. Trying to turn the temperature up or down was useless, you just get the same cool temperature. Not worth the price at all!! There are hotels in the area less than 5 minutes walk at a lower cost and significantly better than this.

What I dislike is that the guests can remove all the silence in the whole coming in and out the hotel - as they may think this underground room cannot be with guest but a laundry or equipment room. -hope it is just because I picked the worst room 011. Nothing good except the bed- which must be available in all the rooms. And, we ordered the breakfast + dinner package for the two days while got a surprise day by day the canteen were reserved by some group from 18:00-21:00, and I was forced to take two late dinners around 21:30, without earlier warning. Too bad a service. It is a problem of management. It is my first score giving under 8, sadly.

Nadelen:: Temperature of the room was horrible - we had the aircon on the whole time but we were always so hot. We tried to open the window to allow for fresh air but we could only open it slightly so that didn’t help. There was no room fridge. The tv is very small...which I guess we didn’t mind so much as we were out most of the time. Make sure you pay for the room upfront. They will hold the cost of the room until the end of the stay and say it will only take 3-5 days to transfer back...but we found out it can take up to 10days which doesn’t help when you’re travelling on a budget!! The room wasn’t that clean we kept finding hairs all over the place...which is just gross.

Breakfast was OK - I missed porridge as an option The room was clean and comfortable (though the bed squeaked a bit!) and the bathroom facilities were in good order and well cleaned. Having seen some of the negative reviews before I booked I wasn't sure what standard I would find. So I was pleased with what I found.

Nadelen:: In the room there were no shelves in the wardrobe and no space to open the suitcases. No night tables and the access to one side of the bed was so narrow that the only way to get in that side was from the other side or the bottom of the bed.

Nadelen:: The rooms were like death apartment in china crammed tiny with 4 people shoved in a closet the beds were kid size and im only 5'8, an to talk about the heat and mug build up in the rooms if you stay never turn off the fan. we left days early just to get away from the place, the bathrooms stink of mold in the floor and around the sinks , the shower room is almost as big as the room just with lament flooring as the bathroom floor not properly vented and stinks of mold, we were informed to put our bags in out beds with the cuts shut so they can come in and vacuum the floor and our stuff would be say (oyes to use the storage drawer under the bed its cost 4 extra to use it) when we came back the room stunk of my friends perfume she had just bought the other day and out bags look like they had be moved or tossed around my hard carrier on was push on top of my bookback which i lef the book bag on top bc of my laptop that was inside. after the 2nd night of staying there me and my friend agreed this place in my 11 years of seeing the world was the worst place i have ever stayed there is like 1 bathroom on each floor to be shared with 20 people it seems, i would have to hold it in to use the bathroom at 4 knowing everyone was asleep because it not you will have 2-5 people try to open the door while your in the middle of your business, there is no outside sign or even a slide panel to state that someone is in there on topping it off its a no refund if you leave early or don't stay which i was willing to leave early after the first few nights of staying there i wouldent want the money back anyway it would probley end up smelling like the bathrooms like mold, it didnt help ether i'm sure at most of the bathrooms are straight piped because you can smell straight sewer when it rains, for a place in Hyde Park as well keeped and clean area this place as well below that stander-ed.

De lamp ging voortdurend aan en uit, ook snachts. Ik moest mijn eigen bed opmaken en afhalen en ze hadden daardoor dus ook geen idee welk bed k had geslapen om schoon te maken. Ik raad iedereen af hier te komen tenzij je echt geen geld hebt voor meer, maar het was mij het geld niet waard. Gelukkig sliep ik er maar 1 nacht, ben blij dat ik weer weg kon.

Nadelen:: We booked a 4 bed mixed dorm, which meant we were on the fourth floor, with no lift which means you will need to carry your bags and travel up and down to the very top of the building in order to get to your room. With this room we had a private bathroom, however this meant practically showering on the toilet, the shower curtain did NOTHING and meant the whole bathroom got flooded whenever anyone had a shower, including a wet toilet. During our stay a bunch of teenagers who sit on the next door neighbours steps and who smoke weed and play their music all night long whilst approaching people staying at the hostel asking if they want to buy drugs. We had spoken to someone who had stayed at the hostel months before and he said that they were also there on his previous stay, so something that always happens. The hostel staff don’t seem to do anything about them and they are allowed to come in and out of the common foyer as they please. There are lockers under the beds however they will charge you per day to be able to use it.

Nadelen:: I have been to many countries especially in Asia and I have always stay on dormitories but I was shocked when I stayed here. Usually, when I arrived at a hostel, the bed is already ready, there is a pillow and mattress, everything..but this hostel is not ready at all. They will just give you the mattress and pillow cover, you will do it yourself. Its not a big deal for me but I am just comparing it to other hostels where I stayed. and you will have to look for an empty bed yourself. Almost zero on Customer Service. I knew from the pictures that its triple decker bed but I was shocked because of the space, Its like they tell you to just lie down most of the time. and what shocked me the most is that they have lots of staff cleaning the hostel but they don't include the rooms. They don't vacuum or have air spray to get rid of the smell from the shoes of other guests. Most of the reception also don't know customer service. They just sat there. In other hostels, After someone checks in, they will guide the guest to the room and inform where his or her bed is. The reception's job is just to sit, check their computer, give keys, give mattress. I hope they learn from Korean Guesthouses on how they do Guesthouse business. Being a low budget dormitory is not an excuse to not being able to give good customer service.

Ik had een kamer van 6 geboekt zodat we genoeg ruimte zouden hebben rn toen we arriveerden kreeg ik te horen dat die niet meer beschikbaar was en we een kamer van 4 kregen. Ik heb dan uiteindelijk na de opmerking een pasje gekregen voor een tweede kamer voor 2 personen. Maar dit Was Niet hetzelfde nu hadden we 2 kleine kamers ipv 1 grote en moesten we ook splitsen terwijl dit niet was we gevraagd of verwacht hadden.

Voordelen:: de locatie, dichtbij underground station en winkels/supermarkt.
Nadelen:: Kamer niet goed schoongemaakt (vol haren, stof en dode insecten), niet voldaan aan verwachtingen van de website. Erg lawaaierig gebouw, geen ventelatie.

Voordelen:: Horrible and bully the French woman at the reception. It is almost an horror house.
Nadelen:: The hostel definitely needs new staff at the reception. They treat customers like a dirt. Never cleaned the rooms. Only changed the bins . Filthy and disgusting! !
