Nadelen: I didn't board this flight because of the restrictions imposed by the Australian government not to let passengers transit through their country. I received no communication about this from the airline prior to my check in at the airport. They were not helpful with any options as to what I should do.
Voordelen: Crew member Camilla was very good with infant & mom seated in front of us, giving personal and specific emergency instructions before takeoff
Nadelen: Typical coach seats but that’s what we paid for
Nadelen: Tray was filthy dirty from previous passenger. Not acceptible amid the current Coronavirus pandemic. Paid $600 for ticket. Plane was changed to a smaller model with no entertainment system.
Voordelen: Crew were great and service was polite
Nadelen: Seats are a bit uncomfortable...need more lumbar support and not much leg room but plane was not crowded so it was ok for the four hour flight
Voordelen: Yes the crew was great.
Nadelen: Seats could have been more comfortable and very little leg room.
Voordelen: The efficiency of the process from boarding to disembarkation.
Nadelen: The flight was delayed, however I understand this happens in aviation.
Voordelen: We did not use this flight and I was told that I could not receive a refund.
Voordelen: Our plane was delayed on the tarmac in Melbourne and we then missed our connecting flight to Mildura. Virgin could not organize another flight for us so we had to hire a car to drive to Mildura. We then had to cancel our flights Mildura to Melbourne Melbourne to Brisbane because we had to return the hire car to Melbourne. I had to book new flight from Melbourne to Brisbane and was told on Thursday when I cancelled our flights for Sunday that we could not get a refund. Unhappy about the entire experience. We were going to a funeral on Friday and to see my Mother on Saturday who is dying of cancer. We had to cut our stay with my mother short so we could drive 6 hours back to Melbourne to catch our plane on Sunday.
Voordelen: Kind cabin crews
Nadelen: Be punctual
Voordelen: Always great crew but the 737-800 is too cramped for east-west flights and hardly any leg room.
Nadelen: Larger less cramped jet. Toilets at rear and everytime someone tried to move around a guy standing in aisle next to me talking to another passenger i got hit. After about the 3rd time i almost landed in the back of the seat infront of me. I had words and he moved. Couldnt put seat back as not enough room. Got off jet with neck cramped...got on jet via rear door after walk and wait about 10 minutes on hot tarnac with sun belting into back of the unfortunate rear seaters...hostess apologised but i felt sorry for any older/ sick people. We were cooking on a hot plate like prawns !!!
Voordelen: Everything seemed to run smoothly and efficiently, from boarding to disembarkation.
Nadelen: The snack offered on board was quite small.
Voordelen: The flight went well. The crew was accommodating.
Voordelen: Left on time. Clean plane.
Nadelen: I don't like the music that plays before leaving. I would rather silence than music which doesn't suit everyone's taste. I find it irritating.
Voordelen: Crew very very slow serving meal.
Nadelen: The delay was out of there hands and other passengers did not listen to instructions
So not there fault really
Nadelen: Computer system crashed. Not enough agents working at check in. We waited in line 1 hour just to drop off bags. Very frustrating.
Voordelen: The crew did well checking up on everyone regularly and the plane was comfortable.
Nadelen: The meal was not very good. I would have really appreciated a small snack or desert also. The crew also seemed easily irritated at times.
Voordelen: Quick boarding
Nadelen: Plane was delayed. Second Virgin flight in a row for me.
Voordelen: Crew were lovely. Business class attendant was really nice.
Nadelen: Nothing. Great experience.
Voordelen: I just enjoy Virgin as the crew are always nice
Nadelen: I find the seats a little uncomfortable. But it’s possible just me
Voordelen: Same old mediocre service a bit like catching a bus really very mundane
Nadelen: Food and entertainment
Nadelen: Seat space (as tight as ever), onboard refreshments (ran out of orange juice so only had water to offer as complimentary drink)
Voordelen: The crew was amazing
Nadelen: A bigger, more comfortable aircraft
Voordelen: The jumbo-ness of the craft. I felt kind of like being on a cruise ship - which is good! The attendants were terrific.
Nadelen: Overhead light kind of spilled over to my neighbor's seat (me being in the outer aisle chair) even after being adjusted as much out as possible. Not a problem if my neighbor had one of those sleep masks...
Voordelen: Pretty much all my needs/wants were seen to! Likewise, on the trans-ocean flight leg.
Nadelen: Some fashion model wishing me happy flying? I really don't know. :)
Nadelen: It's a short 50 min flight, can't ask for anything more.
Nadelen: Bag drop was a mess in flight was great
Voordelen: Very punctual and well managed
Nadelen: Not the best landing and could've moved people from allocated seats to make flight more spacious
Voordelen: NYE celebration aboard, lovely staff, easy and peaceful flight
Voordelen: No complaints, relatively spacious economy seats
Nadelen: Food was nothing to write home about
Voordelen: Movies good Boarding and luggage retrieval good
Nadelen: Arrived an hour late Was another passengers fault tho but annoying
Nadelen: Flight was late and Sydney departures chaotic AND CROWDED
Voordelen: Crew was nice.
Seats were ok.
Paid for extra leg room but was not helpful.
Wanted to upgrade to business class but they were not ready to negotiate.
They had empty seats but wanted fill price.
Nadelen: Better food choice. Sets more comfortable. Offer better price for upgrades.
Nadelen: I went online to put that I needed gluten free food and when everyone else was getting their food I was told no gluten free food on domestic flights so I got no food. You need to take that option off of your website if you don’t intend to serve people with celiac.
Voordelen: Exit row seating.
Voordelen: When it was finally over!
Nadelen: On time, attitude of Virgin ground crew in Sydney (only one) seat were tiny and uncomfortable.
Voordelen: Crew was good, seat was tight.
Nadelen: Was sitting next to a drunk guy, but was Ok, he slept most of the way. Police and paramedics met him at arrival. Caused some delays. Not Virgin's fault.
Voordelen: I got alive to my destination
Nadelen: Original flight was cancelled. Next flight was full. The flight I was booked on got delayed because it was raining heavy in Brisbane... No food or coffee was offered during the whole experience.
Voordelen: Included check-in baggage
Nadelen: Food options on the menu are very limited
Nadelen: Flight delayed by 45 min
Lost my checked bag
Voordelen: The seat was awesome and crew members were magnificent
Voordelen: Business class seats require improvement
Voordelen: At the check-in counter, Alieta was extremely helpful and went out of her way to assist me with a mistake on my travel visa.
The flight attendant crew was superb, attentive, and friendly.
Voordelen: Seat material (leather) and cushion was comfortable.
Nadelen: No leg room, my knees were pressed into the back of the seat in front, which became very painful. No wriggle room without disturbing person alongside. A ridiculous "snack". What happened to biscuits and cheese? Not trendy any longer i presume. Even Qantas serve that! No wine. Again, ridiculous. Condescending stewards, if that's what you are supposed to call them these "woke" days.
Nadelen: Very comfy seats! Quick boarding process. Nice flight

Nadelen: No plugs for laptops, 14 hour flight and no way to work is terrible, luggage took to long to come out and made it so I missed the connecting flight, have to stay at the airport for 5 extra hours - and terrible service with dealing with it and getting my family on the next flight -
Voordelen: comfortable roomy seating, crew were courteous and efficient. Great direct flight to Newcastle - well done Virgin
Nadelen: perhaps a second offer of tea /coffee after the meal.
Voordelen: They charged me so much for extra luggage even I prepaid online for extra luggage prior to getting to airport. Yet the ticket counter lady made me pay an additional fee and all together I ended paying more for extra bags fee than the ticket itself! both Virgin and JetStar are VERY stingy on extra luggage fees. I came from the US to Australia and traveled domestically while there with all the luggage that I brought from the US. So I had to pay so much in fees when my trip was already so expensive! It makes me reconsider wanting to travel again anywhere anytime soon, so discouraging! Also they make me take stuff out of my big suitcase and transfer to my carry on, in front of everyone at the ticket counter I had to open my suitcase and transfer some stuff so the weight is under a certain weight. Still they charged me for extra luggage. I came international on Qantas from USA to Australia, so all the domestic locations I went to I was charged

Nadelen: Seats not too comfortable but okay. Crew checking the boarding pass if you are already on board is a nuisance!

Nadelen: Long wait at the airport checkin, seat was so uncomfortable and paid drinks (including soft drink) after the first meal service... so odd!
Nadelen: The flight was delayed for almost two hours.
Voordelen: Virgin Australia is the best! From the boarding crew to in flight service, everything was above and beyond.
Nadelen: Everything was perfect.
Voordelen: Crew made the very long flight comfortable and kept me informed.
Nadelen: Everything went very well.
