Voordelen:: I didn't know these places still existed! This place cannot be beaten for what it is. Was welcomed at reception by multi-lingual young girl who could not be more obliging and helpful. Amazing - huge - place with all sorts of visitors from backpackers to older guests like me on a sightseeing trip. Very positive and very friendly vibe. Check out the roof terrace and eat as much as you can buffet in the evening [free!], chatting to other guests or just people watching. A very well run, professional hostel. I left my bags in a secure room as I checked in early and had no concerns about the level of security. Very clean bedrooms/ sheets and towels [I shared a room of 5 with bunk-bed set up]. 2 mins round the corner from Centrale station so perfect for arrival and departure from Malpensa. 45 mins to walk into the centre of the city.
Nadelen:: Not a criticism - but this is a hostel and so you will be sharing a room with other guests and so everyone has to manage their privacy etc. But it works, everyone very respectful, chatting and doing their own thing.

Voordelen:: De gezamenlijke ruimtes waren goed, eten was prima allemaal vegatarich. Dus je moet geen grote vlees eter zijn. Wel beide dagen precies hetzelfde eten. Ontbijt was prima simpel maar prima

Voordelen:: This hostel is located 200 metres from Milano Central Station. It is an excellent location. The staff are friendly and helpful, all basic requirements are met here. Free breakfast AND dinner every day with coffee on tap with biscuits & fruit plus other food stuff! This is a fun place for all generations and even though we are retired, we did not feel out of place. We played table tennis and drank at the bar like everyone else. Beds were comfy & we did ask for additional blankets which we received. Clean, tidy accommodation and a great stay - loved it!!
Nadelen:: We were on the 5th floor right under the kitchen on the 6th floor - we had interrupted sleep due to the noise at night until the early hours - most annoying.

Voordelen:: The Hotel Principe Di Savoia was probably the very best hotel and most beautiful property I have ever stayed in my lifetime in every way. The staff was outstanding, the room and bathroom were magnificent, as was the entire hotel. The restaurant food was so creative and excellent that we dined there our last 2 nights. The staff in the restaurant was also so professional and attentive. The fitness center was perfect, and the rooftop garden of flowers were a beauty to behold. It overlooked the old historical buildings that it was shockingly jaw dropping. Every staff member was helpful and pleasant in the service of guests. A beautiful ending to our Italian trip. Voordelen:: The rooms (we had 3 rooms) were clean, modern and spacious. The location was excellent and within walking distance of the places we wanted to see, i.e. the Duomo, La Scala and Galleria. I would highly recommend your property to my friends. Your staff assisted us in securing transportation to Lake Cuomo. The driver arrived on time and got us to Lake Cuomo without any issues. Your buffet breakfast was also excellent.

Nadelen:: Any kind of service shall be available for the room with no extra charges .. example “iron”. The mattress was not a king/queen size bed, it was gathered two twin bed which is completely uncomfortable. Breakfast ending time is too early.

Voordelen:: De bedden waren fantastisch met een goede airco. Wij kregen een upgrade naar een prachtige grote kamer. De locatie van dit hotel is perfect. 6 minuten lopen van de Duomo en de Galeria Emmanuelle. We hebben genoten van Milaan.
Nadelen:: De prijs van de drankjes in de bar en €4,00 voor een omelet bij het ontbijt dat je extra moet betalen. Ik vind dat dat niet kan bij een 4-sterren hotel. Vind het ook jammer dat er geen gratis water beschikbaar was met het warme weer.

Lees vuile handdoeken die op de grond geworpen worden voor was hangen ze gewoon weer opgeplooid op!! Vuilbakje niet leeg enz enz.... Om ipv s'ochtends uit te checken om 20 u uit te checken

Nadelen:: Well , if you wake up late missing your dinner reservation @ 10:30 pm, all you can eat is cold food. Although the staff was super nice to me post that incident sent me complementary champagne , booked for me in a Resturant that offers late dinner offered to pay the taxi, offered free breakfast , however the hotel policy needs major change , the previous day I had been driving for a continuous 11 hrs and arrived also at 11 pm and still couldn’t find a decent meal. Moral of the story , if you are in Milan and in that hotel .... eat early cause otherwise you won’t find something decent to eat. I do appreciate the friendly staff especially the concierge he worked hard to please me;however, I was so upset not to be able to get a late decent meal at the hotel . All in all , it was an experience, but next time I know what I will be looking for other than hotel facilities .

Personnel at reception less than understanding on first evening ('It is indicated on our website that there is music in the evening') but much more forthcoming the 2nd evening. Nevertheless, guests should not have to complain about it in first place. Be a hotel or be a music bar but do not try to be both. Also, the scowling woman to receive guests at entry breakfast restaurant seemed to wish she was somewhere else and had forgotten how to smile. In addition, our room also was not cleaned when we returned after our city exploration during the day (forgotten??) and we had to ask that it be cleaned.

Online lobby pictures were a little deceptive, but was soon forgotten with all the other positives. Breakfast buffet has lots of choices including vegetarian. We had dinner at the hotel one night and found the food very good.
Nadelen:: Two comfortable chairs in the room versus one comfortable chair and a desk chair. We arrived on the later side for breakfast and found most baskets empty, didn't feel we got our money's worth. The staff was willing to make us eggs, but that wasn't one of our food choices. Best to show up for breakfast on the early side.

Nadelen:: The hotel hosted several seminars during our stay, not a bad thing, but we found there wasn’t enough staff to cope with the greater numbers at evening dinner.. We were left waiting with no one to take our our order. We found this to be unacceptable so we dined at another local restaurant... A loss to Starhotels Echo. On the quieter nights we dined at the Echo we found the food and service to be of a high standard...

Voordelen:: De ligging aan het centraal station om van daaruit naar de 3 luchthavens te gaan en aan te komen evenals om de metro te nemen (2 lijnen) . Kwaliteit van dit hotel is top met heel goede bedden en hoofdkussens
Nadelen:: Voor mei of juni werkt de airco niet en de vensters kunnen maar op een kier open waardoor de kamer niet kan afkoelen en die zijn nogal aan de warme kant ... ook vind ik dit niet veilig ivm een eventuele brand in het hotel ..vor de rest een super hotel waar ik al een 10 tal keer heb gelogeerd

Voordelen:: Hotel located opposite the main central station & Metro station with all other forms of public transport at the door including the hop on hop off bus a real bonus for overseas travelers. Shower was amazing best I have ever experienced anywhere. Breakfast & dinner buffet was good value.
Nadelen:: Could do with an outside advertising sign facing the railway station so that weary travelers can easily locate it across the road as it just looks like an office block from the station.

Voordelen:: Clean, Quiet and Modern room with a powerful shower. Helpful and attentive staff. Provided extra pillows in the room without fuss and assisted promptly with resetting the safe. Hot Breakfast included in the room rate. Perfect base for getting to Milano Centrale for the Formula 1 racing in Monza - 5 minutes away. Free Luggage store.
Nadelen:: Quality of Breakfast was lacking somewhat. Single pillows provided in the room was exceptionally limp.

Voordelen:: As a solo female traveller this time on this trip, this hotel was so easy to get to from the airport. It’s on the street just outside the front entrance of Milano Centrale station so only a couple of minutes walk pulling my bag. It’s very contemporary and spotlessly clean. Room was large, bed enormous, shower was great. Breakfast was included and a good selection of food. Staff spoke English and very pleasant and helpful to deal with. I will use again when next travelling to Milan.

Voordelen:: Heerlijk ontbijt, lekker uitgebreid. Weinig geluid van de gang. Heel goede douche. Locatie vlak bij het station, je loopt er in 5 minuten naar toe.
Nadelen:: Het is echt een prima hotel. Kleine puntjes die ik minder vond: een dik hoofdkussen en er was maar voor 1 persoon een set handdoeken neergelegd, terwijl we met z'n tweeën waren. Maar de volgende dag was dat gecorrigeerd.

Voordelen:: De ligging van het hotel is ideaal voor wie met de trein reist. Van de drukke buurt heb je niet veel last door de geluidsarme kamers.
Nadelen:: De akoestiek in de ontbijtzaal was om te huilen. Voor een rustig ontbijt moet je niet in het Spice Hotel zijn. De Wifiprocedure kan ook eenvoudiger met een gewoon paswoord.

Voordelen:: the location was prime, lots of restaurants around...just a walk away. Front desk was extremely helpful. I forgot the name but the beard guy at the reception suggested us a lovely Italian restaurant some 5-10 mins walking distance and was great. close to the Milano Central Station and also the bus station... thus makes its easy to reach the hotel if you take a bus from any airport. i highly recommend this hotel!!
Nadelen:: only that there is no lunch or dinner service and no tea and coffee machine in the room. i mean that is something basic and should be provided atleast in the higher room categories. Water was chargeable, not even one water bottle was complimentary, thus i had to buy a case of water from the grocery store closeby. the breakfast is exactly the same everyday, a little change would make it better for the longstayers as it becomes very boring.
