Voordelen:: Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and lighter options too (salads, yogurt etc.). This is an absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning views from every setting. Every member of staff was so lovely, and the spa was amazing. Our sea view room was perfect, quiet and comfortable with beautiful scenery. We also loved the live music at night on the terrace. Our bathroom /shower facilities were perfect and everything was spotless. We will be back for another weekend as soon as possible.

Voordelen:: This hotel is gorgeous, with an incredible beach area and views. Our junior suite was absolutely beautiful, so large and so well appointed. Beautiful design throughout every area of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our stay was much too short, but we look forward to returning as soon as we can!

Voordelen:: DE accomodatie was uitstekend, de keuken voortreffelijk en personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer ok en de badkamer was voorzien van alle accesssoires , maar gladde vloerplaat in de regendouche; Het strand was niet privaat voor het hotel zoals aangegeven op de beschrijving , de lokale jeugd was zeer storend en gebruikte ook de ligstoelen van het hotel. men had schrik om deze gasten terecht te wijzen.

Nadelen:: De prijzen van restaurants en drank zijn even duur en zelfs duurder dan bij ons. Taxis manipuleren hun meters of vragen maar wat ze willen. als je er niet op. reageert kan een zelfde rit het dubbele kosten.

Voordelen:: Friendly, welcoming staff from the outset and throughout our stay. The hotel was apparently full, but never felt busy - quite the oppoisite! Great location just outside the busier Dubrovnik with a handy transfer by hotel vehicle every hour.

Voordelen:: The hotel setting is stunning. There was an option to use different plug types which is really useful. Most of the hotel facilities are really nice.

Nadelen:: The prices are ridiculously high. We paid £100 (750 Kuna) for 1 beer, 1 cocktail, 1 chicken sandwich and 1 meat & cheese platter. The mini bar prices included a £15 charge for peanuts. The in-room facilities were also relatively poor. They offer 2 coffee sachets per day which given it’s a 5 star hotel seemed a bit ridiculous to us! The charging facilities didn’t work for us either. The whole thing felt a little bit like we were being squeezed for every penny we had at all times. Maybe make that slightly less blatant!

Voordelen:: De locatie was fantastisch! Prachtig uitzicht, mooi eiland, helder water, leuk zwembad, goede service! Uitstekend eten, vooral 's avonds, lekker ontbijt. De airco in de kamer was efficiënt.

Nadelen:: Internet is erg zwak, kon zelfs geen krant downloaden. Onze kamer was erg basic, onder dak, met 2 kleine velux ramen zonder uitzicht, te vermijden. De badkamer had een lavabo spiegel, maar die hing veel te hoog voor mijn vrouw.

Voordelen:: Toplocatie met uitzicht op zee en de eilandjes. Heerlijk verwarmd (lekker in voorseizoen!) zwembad met eveneens prachtig uitzicht. Fantastisch ontbijt. Erg vriendelijk en attent personeel. Ze maken het je echt naar je zin en geven je een vakantiegevoel. Je bent hier Gast met een hoofdletter.

Nadelen:: Dineren is goed, maar erg prijzig.

Voordelen:: The hotel is perfectly situated on the beautiful island of Sipan. It's the perfect retreat for a break from the hustle of busy lives. The staff are friendly and helpful. The nearby little village is welcoming. The view is incredible.

Nadelen:: Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Voordelen:: The position of the hotel is perfect the sun is always there from sunrise to sunset. The sea is always calm, position of hotel protected from the northerly and southerly winds.

Nadelen:: The bed sheets and towels.

Voordelen:: What’s not to like - beautiful weather and swimming in the sea! Hotel was very clean and comfortable and staff friendly and attentive whilst maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Wide choice at buffet breakfast with eggs and pancakes cooked to order. We ate dinner in the hotel twice and the standard was good. The young men tending the bar and sunbeds by the sea were great - nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our trip to Bowa restaurant and the local fish restaurant in the village. Would definitely consider a return visit (as several of the other guests were doing).

Nadelen:: Wi fi frustratingly erratic and we only found one tv channel in English (the news - Brexit!!). Not much to do if the weather is poor - limited sightseeing. However, none of this really detracted from a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Voordelen:: Really warm welcome from the host Nikolina. She met us at the old town gate and gave us a mini walking tour through the old town and referee good restaurants and things to do. Very clean and comfortable environment.

Nadelen:: Honestly everything was pretty good except it was a bit expensive for the size of the room. But considering you are in the old city of Dubrovnik its a great value for the location.

Voordelen:: The Inn is in a central location. Very clean and staff very friendly. It is a family operation and is clear that they value quality and customer satisfaction.

Voordelen:: The location was excellent, not many steps. Nikolina and staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations and transfer arrangements. Our room was small, as expected, but well maintained. It was very comfortable, even though we stayed through a heat wave.

Voordelen:: Nicolona is great she is so sweet , her hospitality is amazing. The place is quiet and clean . Very close to every thing

Voordelen:: Great location in the Old City. Close to many sights. The owner, Nikolina was wonderful. She will give you great advice. This place can feel like home.

Nadelen:: Did not have an elevator. It can be difficult if you have heavy luggage and your room is on an upper floor. I had the room on the top, which was possibly the attic converted into a hotel room. It had an angled ceiling. If you are tall you may have a problem standing in this room. You will not be able to stand up upright in part of the room because of the angled ceiling.

Voordelen:: Beautiful little place in a fantastic location run by a lovely lady. I'd recommend it to anyone

Voordelen:: Location was superb. inside old city walls, near cathedral and old harbour yet quiet. Very friendly welcome, particularly from Nicolina, who was very helpful. All old town attractions and lots of eating places within easy walking distance. Homely feel to this family run hotel. Simple but clean comfortable room on the first floor, which had character including stone walls, and everything we needed including fridge and shower and large double bed. Hotel arranged very convenient pickup to and from airport for reasonable cost. Was possible to make tea and coffee in communal downstairs room, which is a big bonus as cafes can be expensive. Would highly recommend if you want a good and affordable hotel in Dubrovnik old town.

Nadelen:: Had to wait for someone to meet us at property . Was expecting to pay by credit card but although said I could on booking.com website ie property accepted all major credit cards was contacted after booking by property to say only accepted Euros

Voordelen:: The Valamar President is an amazing hotel, it's just a 15 minute drive or bus ride to the old town. The views are incredible, the private beach is perfect, staff delightful, food in the beach side and main restaurant was beyond our expectations and much better value for money than those nearby. Room service without any additional charge, great free spa... I can't say enough nice things about this hotel.

Voordelen:: Staff at all services were excellent! The Momenti restaurant was outstanding. The hotel definitely needs to supply support staff to the restaurant waiter. One person cannot service 8 tables efficiently.

Nadelen:: Could do with more reasonably priced snack menus. Drink prices , especially for beer, were excessive. No local draught beers available -only the bland international heineken on draught.

Voordelen:: Having stayed here for our honeymoon, I can honestly say that The hotel staff have been amazing and go above and beyond offering great service. We have appreciated a bottle of fizz & room upgrade as this has really kicked off our honeymoon :)

Voordelen:: The property location was very good close to restaurants and amazing views from the deck. There is a nice walking path as you exit the path to the right from the bottom level. In total we spent 4 nights and each night caught beautiful sunset views from the ground floor level. The hotel has lounge chairs setup for its guests at Sunset beach which is a short couple minute walk. The hotel was renovated to a very modern look about three or four years ago and is most inviting to all. Serves a delicious buffet breakfast. We were happy to be away from the business of the old town and I would stay here again.

Voordelen:: What a beautiful hotel! We had an excellent stay in a large room with gorgeous terrace overlooking the Old Town. We watched the sunset over the town, which was amazing. We loved the swimming area, and the staff and breakfast were fantastic! We can't wait to return!!

Nadelen:: The staff are very cold!!! Not friendly!! All other hotels that had same rating throughout Croatia that we stayed the staff welcomed us. I arrived at the Excelsior and asked for a bottle of water and the man I was checking in with said there’s some in your room. Then it continued very alleuf!!! We just shrugged it off to serving people that don’t want them to speak to them.

Nadelen:: I asked for a a plastic bottle water because i had a 2 hours and a half road , the front desk answered me that i can find plastic bottle at the supermarket ( what a rude answer ) The front desk failed to mention at our arrival that from our villa we had a much shorter access to the beach and to the old town .

Voordelen:: De ligging is top en accommodatie is fantastisch. Het is een zeer trendy hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt is bijzonder uitgebreid en lekker. De kamers in het oude gedeelte zijn ruim en bijzonder mooi ingericht .

Nadelen:: De kamers in het nieuwe gedeelte zijn comfortabel en netjes , maar iets te duur in verhouding .

Voordelen:: Great design, perfect location. We loved swimming before or after visiting Dubrovnik, be it in the sea or the pool. Walking distance from the center of Dubrovnik which is really what you need. Very nice and helpful staff at the reception.

Voordelen:: Style, location, ambience, food and staff. Extremely comfortable and service impeccable. Wonderful choice and would definitely return and recommend highly.

Nadelen:: A menu choice at breakfast along with the buffet would have been a plus. We arrived after 10pm and felt we had paid for a night without the benefit of using the facilities that day but still had to check out early because they were fully booked. It was our loss because we enjoyed being there. But they did store our luggage so that we could hang around for a while.

Voordelen:: Great location, beautiful scenery. Quiet surroundings. Friendly service. Cave bar is a great feature. Seafront terrace is very pleasant but has limited food options. thankfully I was there out of season as it's quite small.

Nadelen:: The room is not really a 5 star experience. Furniture and fittings were a bit outdated, only one lounge chair, a desk that is unusable since the TV stands on top, a rather sad kettle, no USB port and a trouser press (in a beach hotel!). Bathroom supplies are all in small, presumably single-use, plastic bottles. Breakfast average good.

Nadelen:: Lift access to different floors was very confusing and hard to get used to. However this did not detract from the beautiful hotel itself!

Voordelen:: De locatie is geweldig! Het is er prachtig! Het hotel heeft een mooie uitstraling, echt luxe. De familiekamer was enorm. De bedden waren prima en er waren twee mooie badkamers. Zeer veel ruimte.

Nadelen:: Het ontbijt had beter gekund voor een vijfsterrenhotel. De prijzen bij de poolbar waren wat aan de hoge kant. En voor mensen die minder goed ter been zijn, zijn alle trappetjes etc. niet handig.

Voordelen:: Very good location and short walking distance (7 min) from old town Dubrovnik. One of the small luxury hotels of the world and very private with only 13 rooms and valet parking. One of a kind breakfast specially at the terrace with view over Lokrum Island and Old Town. Staff always very kind and available to help.

Nadelen:: It would have been nice if we have a pool and gym at the same premises as the only options were to go to Villa Argentina or Excelsior Hotel (adjacent hotels and part of the same group) but this meant going outside Vila Orsula.

Voordelen:: Everything was wonderful and as expected - worth the extra to stay here. Will definitely recommend and come back. The smiling staff and hosts were a pleasure at every meeting - they couldn't do enough for you. The lcoation is perfect - close to the old town - 7 min stroll but away from the chaos

Voordelen:: Staying at Villa Orsula was like staying at a good friends home. It is the perfect combination of ideal location with privacy and the option of using facilities of larger properties next door. The view is priceless!

Voordelen:: Het beste van dit hotel is de toplocatie. Beter vind je hem niet als je de stad Dubrovnic wil bekijken. Het hotel is een plaatje van buiten, maar van binnen heeft het een zakelijke uitstraling. Je krijgt er geen warm vakantiegevoel van. Je kunt er ook niet wegzakken in een behaaglijke fauteuil, maar je zit in de lobby rechtop op een wat harde bank of stoel alsof je bij de Koningin op bezoek bent. Het is verder jammer dat er geen buitenzwembad is. Het binnenzwembad is netjes, maar klein en erg warm en ligt onder de grond met daglicht door een raam in het plafond. Het was mij niet aantrekkelijk genoeg om er een teen in te steken. De inrichting van het hotel ziet er goed onderhouden uit. Alles zit strak in de verf en is onberispelijk schoon. De bediening is vriendelijk en op elk moment correct. Het ontbijt was redelijk uitgebreid, maar niet van bijzondere kwaliteit, o.a.: - je kon een droge omelet met extra's laten maken - de zalm waren geen mooie plakken, maar snippers van bedenkelijke kwaliteit - er was niet veel keus in het brood - de keus aan fruit was wat karig en het voorgesneden fruit was deels niet vers, maar gezoet - er was geen verse jus d'orange - je kon buiten op het terras ontbijten, alleen zonder parasols, dus niet plezierig Ik heb niet in het restaurant gegeten Ze hebben wel een executive lounge die een happy hour heeft. D.w.z. tussen 17.30 en 19.30 zijn daar gratis drankjes en kleine hapjes. Dat werkt want de lounche zit dan meestal vol met mensen en dat maakt het wat gezelliger, zeker met een gin-tonic erbij. Je ziet de wat saaie inrichting dan door andere ogen. Al met al een prima hotel voor 2-3 dagen om de stad Dubrovnic te bekijken. Prijs-kwaliteit acht ik wat minder.

Nadelen:: Ik vermoed dat de meeste kamer prachtig zijn, maar ik zat net op een kamer zonder riant uitzicht op de bovenste verdieping van het bijgebouw met een airco die het wel deed maar niet krachtig genoeg was. Dat hield mij wel uit mijn slaapt. Verder had ik de misvatting dat ze daar 3 persoonskamers hebben want die had ik geboekt. Het bleek een (wel prettig ruime) 2 persoonskamer te zijn met 2 goede bedden en met een veldbedje en daar heb ik op geslapen. Ik kan jullie aanraden dat niet te doen, of je moet dagelijks na het opstaan een uur een masseur hebben bijgeboekt. Dan heb je misschien nog iets aan je dag. Reclameren heeft weinig zin, dan had ik maar beter moeten lezen was de boodschap.

Voordelen:: The hotel is a beautiful, elegant building, well-situated on the very edge of the old town. The rooms were clean, bright and well-appointed. We particularly enjoyed being able to access the cool and peaceful "Executive Lounge" for free tea, coffee and snacks when we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of the old town for a bit. The afternoon cakes were a particular treat. It was great to have convenient car-parking too.

Nadelen:: Breakfast selection was wonderful and the food was excellent, however the service could be improved if the waiters were a little better organised and the restaurant layout was reassessed. All the team members were evidently working very hard so should not be criticised, but the large restaurant and high number of tables in relation to the position of the kitchen and clearing area, plus the waiters' reliance on trays that were just too small, meant that they simply could not be efficient at clearing and resetting tables at busy times, not matter how fast they worked.

Voordelen:: Very nice accommodation, close to the beach, 3 km away from old town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Apartment is finished to a very high quality, in a nice classic building. Breakfast is offered across the road in a nice wine and tapas bar. It exceeded our expectation of a 4 star apartment.

Nadelen:: Minor issue, there is a pool onsite, but it is very small, next to the road and strange shape. There is the option to use the bigger pool in the sister hotel 10 min walking away.

Voordelen:: This is a mansion that has been turned into a hotel. And if I could, I'd want to live in this mansion (does that say enough?). Located opposite of some shops (supermarket) and close to the water and boulevard with many restaurants and bars, the location is ideal. Busstop to the old city (Uber about 5€) located close by. This will be my first choice of staying in Dubrovnik next time!

Nadelen:: Everything was perfect! So no negatives

Voordelen:: Lovely room and balcony. Bed was nice and comfortable. Bathroom was nice with a large shower. Location was good being a short walk from beaches and many restaurants and bars.

Nadelen:: Although we had agreed a time of arrival we were left waiting 20 minutes until the host arrived to check us in. Breakfast is taken at restaurant across the road and the options, although a few were restrictive.

The room was tiny and claustrophobic for the extortionate price tag, we booked a deluxe king, and you couldn’t get around one side of the bed The breakfast and lunch in the cafe wasn’t great and the service in the cafe was poor, and it was very expensive. The wine bar staff were very good but again very expensive. Wouldn’t return despite the great location

Voordelen:: Beautiful individual hotel right in the centre of the city. Perfect location, lovely room and great staff. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and enjoyed both. As it is in the walled town and no cars can enter, a porter meets you at the gate to show you to the hotel. You also have a voucher to access the local beach.

Voordelen:: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, including getting me a very early transfer to the airport. The restaurants in the hotel are incredible. Very friendly wait staff and great bartender in the wine bar!

Voordelen:: Hotel’s daytime receptionist-concierge was extraordinarily helpful, informative and solicitous. Hotel offers a level of service far above most hotels; it is equal to famous hotels in Zurich and Bangkok. Upstairs terrace restaurant is excellent.

Voordelen:: Wij hadden een net en ruim appartement met een groot balkon en een fantastisch uitzicht op zee. We konden er meteen in na inchecken voor een uur in de middag.

Nadelen:: We moesten een keer s middags om drie uur bellen of er nog iemand kwam om schoon te maken. Dit werd wel direct in orde gemaakt. Wij hoorden dat ze er waarschijnlijk niet aan toe waren gekomen. We moesten steeds vragen of koffie en thee kon worden aangevuld. Ook vaatwasblokjes werden niet aangevuld. Bij de bar aan zee werden vier drankjes niet gebracht, terwijl je er niet weinig (75 kuna voor een aperol spritz) voor betaald en overal veel personeel is. Op dat moment echter was de barman alleen. Misschien ivm laagseizoen eind september. Eten bij het pasta restaurant is in orde, maar smaakte niet geweldig.

Voordelen:: Heel mooi verzorgd resort. Groot hotel met kiezelstrand en 3 zwembaden. Diverse restaurants. Mooie kamer en badkamer

Nadelen:: Niets Ligt 20 min rijden van Dubrovnik, verder is er niets in directe omgeving. Handig om een auto te hebben. Of gebruik pendel bus.

Voordelen:: Beautiful view, staff were generally helpful. The rooms were very nice

Nadelen:: Hiking up hills and climbing a lot of stairs to get anywhere. Large resort ! Also the spa was unimpressive.

Voordelen:: Breakfast supply was really plentiful as well as the restaurants in the area were good. The staff was friendly.

Nadelen:: Towels should not be changed unnecessarily, unless specifically requested to be changed by leaving on them on the floor.

Voordelen:: This hotel is outstanding and we’d highly recommend it. We stayed for just under a week on our honeymoon. Our room was lovely and clean with beautiful views out to sea. The room was well designed and laid out, providing plenty of space and storage. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. The site is vast, offering several restaurants, beaches and swimming pools. There is use of the spa and it seemed family friendly too. We visited some of the restaurants in nearby Zaton which were lovely and very picturesque (we got Uber’s which was quick and easy!) Could not fault this hotel, we felt very lucky to have stayed here and have such a beautiful room. We were very sad to leave!

Voordelen:: Fantastic experience in this amazing resort! The place exceeded my expectations. The resort has its own private beach, various relaxing spots, great locations to walk around, variety of restaurants inside and of course their spa & massage services. The residence rooms are amazing with a fantastic view of the sunrise from the balcony. The rooms are super clean, equipped with all the amenities and the resort staff were really friendly. Gladly would stay here again!

Voordelen:: This is a magnificent property with views better than our native Hawaii. They upgraded us to an ambassador suite which must’ve cost thousands. We were treated like royalty and will never forget our experience here. We will certainly come back now because of this hotel.

Voordelen:: Buffet breakfast was included. Beds were very comfort, even for myself (I’m 6’5). We used a late checkout and were able to use the spa at no extra cost.

Nadelen:: Dinner at the hotel was ridiculously expensive. Should have gone in town for at least some culture with my bill.

Voordelen:: Lovely outdoor pools and plenty of sunbeds. The wellness spa on the roof was really quiet with fabulous pool, jacuzzis and outdoor hot tub plus plenty of sun beds and loungers and quiet area. Quiet position away from the hub bub of Dubrovnik and bus outside for quick easy transfer into city every 15 mins. Hotel manager did deal with the problems we had with customer service in a pleasant efficient way.

Nadelen:: The staff on reception were very unwelcoming and uninformative. The customer service was poor. The hotel is more geared to conferences and coach parties rather than individual travellers. Food is mass catering for breakfast so lukewarm. Bedrooms are sparse and not luxurious - no homely touches. We were upgraded to a suite which to me means two rooms but it was just a massive room with hardly any furniture and what was there was like office furniture and curtains. Food in Mediterranean restaurant was good but very expensive. Difficult to get any kind of service to your room and phone went unanswered do had to trek up to reception every time and it is a big hotel

Nadelen:: Jammer dat de drank bij het avondeten niet in de prijs inbegrepen is. Water zou op zijn minst in de prijs inbegrepen mogen zijn.

Voordelen:: Fantastic location with spectacular views. Very private at the end of the peninsula. All of the rooms have a balcony with a sea view. Overall, the food was very good in the restaurants and at the breakfast buffet.

Nadelen:: The common spaces are not what you would expect from a luxury hotel. The hallways reminded me of dorm-rooms. Although this is a minor thing, it was something my wife and I noticed.

Voordelen:: Breakfast had a wide variety of food. The fruit was fresh, pastry and hot food well-prepared. Chambermaid service was efficient and friendly. Good views Bus to old city stopped in Hotel car park. Good free wifi.

Nadelen:: This was a mis-buy for us. We thought we were buying a luxury hotel suitable for couples. It is a conference /corporate hotel ideal for large groups. This translated to being noisy, anonymous, crowded and inappropriately formal. . I don't expect a hotel to welcome me to my room by giving me an information pack that set out a long list of rules telling me what I can't do in the hotel and how I must dress to gain access to the restaurants. The hotel has a "hostage" mentality, common to old-school business hotels: It gouges guests for small items - sofr-drinks, snacks, water - on the basis that they will feel too remote or too isolated to provide for themselves. It also forbade me from putting my own water in the fridge in the room - which added insult to injury. I thought this attitude had died out in good hotels a decade ago. If I compare this to the Royal Blue, on the opposite side of the bay, I felt that I was being milked for money and not being given any personal consideration. We bought a superior room with seaview and balcony. The view was spectacular but the balcony comes with railings made of three large industrial metal bars that look ugly and block the view when you're sitting down. Other hotels in the area offer glass barriers on their balconies. This made us less inclined to spend time in the hotel. The Sunset Bar gives a great view of the sunset but it's so open plan and so close to reception that it felt like sitting in a corridor.

Voordelen:: Everything about the hotel was more than we expected! I could really tell that he hotel is much loved by all the staff working for this hotel. Beautiful swimming pool, delicious breakfast, very good access to the beaches, clean & comfortable room, nice park, shops and very good Chinese restaurant nearby. Above all, very flexible, accommodating and welcoming staff in the hotel was the best part. We just stayed here for one night and moved to a holiday apartment near the old city, so the distance from the old town was not an issue for us.

Nadelen:: Booked a tour to three islands and it was cancelled the night before due to bad weather but the weather turned out to be very nice that day.. thought maybe the hotel possibly overbooked or something..
