The Lake Resort

Zeer goed hotel op prachtige locatie. Ontbijt heel goed en uitgebreid. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zomaar een upgrade gekregen naar een suite; wat een ruimte en uitzicht, geweldig!

Niets eigenlijk!

We always go five star, but this was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at it has everything from the facilities to the location and the staff are very attentive, the room was brilliant and always cleaned daily (they even leave you about three-four 1.5 litre bottles of water and pillow chocolates with a different little message everyday), the restaurants are great with three to choose from all catering for different things and well on a morning, the breakfast was brilliant with a huge variety, as well as freshly baked pancakes, pastries and eggs in a style of your choosing. If you are looking for a nice break to the algarve and you don’t want a very busy place, I would reccomend staying in Vilamoura and not Albufeira and staying at this hotel, you can travel to other areas in the algarve in around 20-25 mins, the people/locals are all very nice the beach is never crowded, so you can always have your space and the marina is on your doorstep as well, there are a companies here that offer various excursions (Benagil cave tour is a must) but one company AlgarveExcite were absolutely brill so look them up, they also do water sports, we used them for all the activities we did. The marina also has a lot of shops, great restaurants and bars, you will find at least one place that caters to your taste, and the best thing for me is that people don’t get rowdy after drinking on a night (there may be one or two, but nothing like Albufeira), people know their limits and are respectable. After mentioning all this, the hotel is at the centre of it all, with everything I’ve mentioned in mind, for everything you get it was great value for money. I will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
