Hotel Gran Turquesa Playa

Staff in the hotel are just fantastic! Rooms are spotlessly clean & room staff do a lovely job each day, keeping the room tidy & fresh. Most important for us the air conditioning works really well & room can be kept to a nice temperature by individual control in the room!. The newly renovated Pool Area is really lovely. There are plenty of places to lay or sit in the Sun. The evening entertainment is lovely to have after dinner. A different act each night. The entertainment supervising Lady puts in a huge effort to ensure everything runs smoothly. The Flamenco evening is top class, & free!! We have see lots of Flamenco dancers in the past & this group are by far the best! A free bus will take you to the Commercial Shopping centre on the other side of town. Return to hotel also available on free bus, but it is a very pleasant walk back through a very interesting part of town. You can also easily get to the Lago Martinez, and surrounding area a short walk from where the bus drops you off. If you feel tired a taxi back to the hotel will be about €4 or less! Taxis never cost more than €5 including a big tip to go anywhere in Puerto! The bus stop to go to Santa Cruz is only about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. There is a black volcanic sand beach nearby, and a lovely paved garden to walk by along the seafront.

The location is a bit outside of centre, but even so the hotel is walking distance from everywhere.

Ease of movement within the hotel. The excellent staff, From the moment we arrived until we left, we were treated with respect and friendliness. especially from the staff that were still there after our stay 2 years ago.
