If you want to know what it is like to live in New Orleans, rather than just visit the city, consider staying on Esplanade Avenue, in a beautiful neighborhood that has famous restaurants, local museums, and more details than any guidebook can tell you. We live on a beautiful street and our boutique, immersive inn is full of artwork and curiosities that will make you appreciate what it is like to enjoy a few days and nights like a New Orleanian. Nobody ever says their stay is too long---it is always the opposite. We are not located in the French Quarter, but we are about a 20 minute picturesque stroll from the Quarter. It's the same distance to City Park and the art museum in the other direction.Breakfast is seasonally curated based on the best things available in the city from local farmers' markets, bakeries and restaurants. It's a feast for the senses full of crawfish, local sausages, fresh fruits, crusty breads, local specialty pastries and whatever else catches our fancy. We don't place orders with the lady who makes our jellies and pickles, she just brings us what she thinks is best. Every morning is a surprise. Every morning is a delightful surprise, full of conversation, recommendations, and adventures shared. Every morning is eye-opening. Our coffee has chicory mixed into it, the way we drink it in New Orleans. Special diets accommodated when we are notified in advance. No worries. We're pretty easy-going.
