Not worth the money.

The Ocean View from our King room.

No room cleaning service because of COVID. There is no reason why they can’t come in and clean when you leave the room especially when we were there for 4 nights. They are using COVID as excuse. We had to call 3 times for fresh towels. Also, people would leave dirty towels and garbage outside their doors which wouldn’t get picked up for hours, including a baby’s used diaper just sitting outside a door close to ours. Not what you would expect after paying $500 per night. Several pools but hard to get a lounge chair near any of them unless out by 9am. There were many lounge chairs available but they were part of a Cabana rental (4 chairs plus Cabana) for an additional $1000-$1500 day. While the Cabana rentals are busy on weekends, during the week they were mostly empty and the chairs could have been made available. Isn’t that why you pay a resort fee. No Coffee maker in the room, just a mini fridge/bar which you can’t store anything in as it’s censored and you are charged for anything you remove. Two restaurants that do Breakfast are at least $25-$30 per person and a small coffee shop off the lobby where you can get coffee and a bagel or danish usually had a long line. Nothing else close by for breakfast so you pretty much had to eat at the hotel. Parking costs $50.00 night.

I liked the location and the ocean view room was breathtaking.

There were multiple things that I did not like about this hotel. Firstly, there was no covid precautions. People were without masks and there was no social distancing. Loud music. No coffee maker. No housekeeping. Expensive food ($6 water bottle)

Very pricey for a room that wasn’t upgraded much and the shower head was very low pressure..and no room service or anything to eat on after hours ..will not be staying here in the future but thank you for the hospitality

Hotel was not staffed properly. We waited 45 mins for a towel by the pool. We ordered 2 burgers and chicken tenders and it took them 2 hours to deliver by the pool - we actually were on our way back to the room when the food arrived. I asked for a lounge chair and the pool attendant said they didn't have anyone to get a chair so I walked over and grabbed it myself from the stack approximately 40 feet away. They were way understaffed. We had 2 rooms costing us approximately $500/night each so $1k in total/night. The service didn't warrant these prices. To top it off, the music from the day club was so loud our mirror in the bathroom was shaking on the 7th floor. We checked out the next morning and went to another hotel. Hope they can fix these issues because this place is iconic.

The property was poorly managed. There were numerous incidents of uncleanliness all week long. For example; Dirty towels in the elevator, people's dirty clothing including bras left everywhere, gum stuck on the side of the pool. The property was so overcrowded that if you didn't reserve a chair at 8AM at either the pool or beach you were left out and the staff was totally unorganized and they felt helpless. Ran out of towels one day. Had to wait 30 minutes to get a beach chair and had no towels. Then we ordered a drink and it took over an hour to get it. Same thing happened at the pool the next day with drinks (took over an hour since we ordered it). It's one thing to be paying crazy prices for drinks but to wait for over an hour?? It was so crowded! We discovered the 7th floor pool which we ended up going to for the rest of our trip. At night time the lobby was filled with college kids and other people wearing no masks during covid congregating in the middle of the lobby. The Fountainebleau is living on its past reputation and it's sad because it could be so much better. We had a great time in Miami but looking forward to going back and staying somewhere else!!!

Valet parking if you¿re forget something is your car have to wait for valet guys to bring your car about 30 minutes. . Also they searching your bags for food and drinks and not allowing them outside have to charge you 20% service fees.

Ocean view room was a partial view. Coffee line was 45 minutes in the morning. Three restaurants in the hotel had zero availability until we gave a hostess $20. Weather forced us to stay an extra day & the room rate more than doubled so we moved hotels

The hotel room hallways and rooms smell like marijuana. You can¿t get in touch with anyone more help. Remote was broken so you had to keep getting up to chance the station. The valet was insane. Waited forever for the car. Pool closes at 6pm.

At the pool there was not an adequate supply of umbrellas and people were literally fighting over them. The mark-up on food items in the room was ridiculous!! ($10 for a small bag of M&Ms and $6 for a can of pepsi)

I love the hotel. I always stay here when visiting Miami. It’s best hotel in Miami. The pool facilities, restaurants by the pool, the private beach access behind the hotel is amazing. The staff is amazing for the most part.

I hate that you pay so much money to stay there but the pizza & burger wouldn’t even accept take out orders due to high demand this past weekend. How in the world I’m paying you over 2k for couple days & can’t even feed me. I hate the fact they don’t clean your room until you checkout due to Covid. Gotta smell trash in your room for days & have dirty towels in your bathroom for days. They had a shortage of towels this past weekend. Took 4 hours to get towels to my room. Then the tower we were staying at the elevators stop working for days. Literally only 1 of 3 was working. It took 20-25 mins every time we had to catch the elevator. A lot of people walking the lobby area with no mask.

It was to full everything needs to be reserved even the chairs by the pool we set on the floor by the pool both day and we pay 56.00 dollars per day for valet parking and the use my car to service another car with fuel and left the red fuel thank with fuel in the back seat of my car hotel staff did not want to help because they say valet staff don’t work for the hotel and valet staff refuse to help for the price I pay to stay at this hotel at least something should be done my car still smells like fuel

The hotel did not clean the room prior to arrival it, it was not disinfected especially in the bathroom. Before the pandemic clean rooms was a requirement, but cleanliness is evermore important now. It is simply unacceptable to expose guests to this.

It’s a terrible value for money. The faucets in the suite were broken. The ice maker did not work. The sink leaked water all night. When we made a complaint they said nothing could be done till the following morning and offered some credit. This is ridiculous. I didn’t expect to get such a lousy experience especially on Valentine’s Day for $700. I feel cheated and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Rooms starting to look dated. Check in even at the Tresor building is tough. usually one or two people in a very crowded lobby, Car valet is a rip off,,,, terrible,,,, you pay 55 dollars for overnight and if you want to order your car up you wait 20 mins... or you can pay an extra 60 dollars CASH to leave it out beside entrance, for each time you repark your car, and still pay the 24 hour overnight parking 55 dollars. Fitness center equipment needs to be updated and modernized.

We never had room service. The ice machine on our floor was broken so they made us go to the next floor for ice. The hallway carpet and room carpet had stains. It feels like I paid for a name and missed out on the quality. It felt like a 3 star hotel.

The hHotel is beautiful but the hallways we’re dirty it seemed it had been vacuumed for weeks inside the room the same the carpets were dirty no house keeping at all during the five days so it made it very uncomfortable with garbage been full. They also were very cheap in terms of when you asked for water they would ask to pay $11 for bottle water I was turned away at the pool asking for glass of water the attitude were so UNPROFESSIONAL, we went through a lot for them to give us the room we had reserved. Altogether we won’t be returning to this place even though the view was beautiful. It won’t be a good place if you’re looking for good customer service. Most staff had awful attitude.

The hotel and room were beautiful as was the pool.

The prices were extremely high for what was being offered. My biggest problem was there was no tap water available to the guests. If you want water you have to pay at least $6. The bar should provide cups of water to the guests for FREE.

The rooms themselves need to be updated. I had the junior tresor suite and I noticed plenty of things that needed tlc. The bathroom toilet was looose, parts were looking rusty, the balcony needed paint, the dryer in the room didn’t work too well, barely dried any clothes.

The location, the view were amazing. We have been there couple times the location is perfect for a nice rest. The spa, the pool are what you need to have a runaway vacation.

The rooms were not fully ready for the guests, the plates were dirty, there were no toothpastes and toothbrushes, the safe was closed. The front desk staff was very nice and will quickly help us with everything we need..in maximum 10min all the issues were fixed. But I think the guests are expecting to see all ready when they come in. Also the bathroom sink pipes were not clean as the water would stay in the sink. It was not pleasant. Also maybe the Covid is causing the stress within the staff but I believe the other couple times we visited everyone was sooooo happy and smiling... I think the terms you have them working with needs to be refreshed and be made more favorable for them, so when we are there we will feel they are happy too. I hope everyone will understand this comment correctly:) the hotel is amazing but the changes the Covid is causing is not handled well. I hope to see changes ( truly happy staff and proper rooms) next time we are there! We love everything there and would be glad to visit again

The room looked old. There Was a leak in the bathroom. So you needed to wear your shoes due to water all over the place. I wanted to make a reservation for my sisters birthday and no one picked up the phone after several attempts. We had booked a room in from of the bay we got it in front of the pool. I was expecting 5 Star...

The only areas I would say gets a strong review from us were the Stripsteak and the Blue Bar. The staff was steadfast and friendly. Management needs to be written up for poor planning and management of New Years Weekend.

First impressions are everything. At check-in, there was no bellman to help with luggage. It was more like, "you got this; I will just stand here and watch you take that heavy suitcase out of the trunk of your car." Second, we got a beach view, but the room we received had windows whose tint on the windows was pealing, so it obstructed the view. We were able to move for an escalated price, which at this point, we were willing to do. The hotel management was poorly equipped to handle the occupancy that they welcomed. Limited food and drink options made it very difficult to enjoy our stay since we spent most of our time waiting for a table, drink, or recreation area to relax in. Squatter rights took over and created very disgruntled guests. Finding a pool chair at 9 am was impossible, getting a pina colada at 3p was impossible they were out, no limes for citrus drinks at 4p. Pool restaurant stopped taking reservations at 1:30p, even though they did not close until 4p, and restrooms at the seaside restaurant were atrocious and not properly sanitized and maintained. The spa, appointment for my husband and me, they took my husband up for his massage and forgot about me for 15 minutes. I inquired several times to the staff in the area that I was waiting at and they insisted that I sit tight and wait for them to come to get me. When I finally got up due to concern for my husband, I ran into the spa employee and she took me up. Needless to say, I never quite could relax. The massage room had no soap to wash my hands and on a scale of 1 - 10, I would give my masseuse a 3 Rating on the low end. There was NO security monitoring elevators or cleaning the areas regularly in the Tresor Tower area.

We had a nice room with a nice view. Tressor tower is easy to access for uber and uber eats so that was nice. Also convenient was the walk to the stores like Walgreens and the liquor store.

I didn't like that over the weekends we were held up trying to go outdoors. We had to go back upstairs to ask for wristbands. Then we were told we could not bring our own drinks on the beach. By the time we had accommodated for all of these extra instructions and hoops and made it to the beach, we could not order food or drinks it was very disappointing. I felt for the money we spent we should have gotten assistance with small things like opening the mini bar in our room or just the concierge answering the phone when needed. I even had a hard time trying to get new towels. I had to leave come back and try again before I got an answer.

It wasn't clean and on the restroom it had construction molding. I paid a great price just for the view, because it wasn't clean and they did a nasty repair on the shower. Also, the water in the shower it had these levels warm, hot and hotter.

Pool door guards were horrible. Rude attitude every time I passed by, whether on the way to the gym or pool. Checking bags every time, acting worse than airport security, telling me I can't pass with a small bottle of Diet Pepsi to take on my way to a walk on the beach. A big turn off when spending hundreds of dollars to stay at a fancy place and be treated like a suspect of a crime.

I love this hotel but my last stay changed my outlook.

The staff and service was not up to par. I spend an hour waiting for wait staff, over 30 minutes to get towels for my chairs at the pool. I spoke to my wait staff about it and he said they were understaffed and it’s wasn’t his fault that everyone decided to come there during a pandemic. I then informed him that’s not a good enough reason to treat customers poorly. I myself am a nurse and I totally understand what being short staffed means and to also still remain professional. He laughed and said good one. Still didn’t return my towel after I had already waited over 30 minutes. Only to send someone back 10-15 minutes later to bring us towels. Later I asked for a broom because it was sand in my bathroom. I was told that they couldn’t come clean But could bring me a broom which they never brought down after I called several times for it. but could bring me a broom which they never brought down after I called several times for it. Pandemic or not why and I cleaning when I’m at a hotel staying? I was t offered another room or anything. Just a we aren’t cleaning occupied rooms because of Covid. Totally changed my outlook of the service provided here. I’ve stayed here 4 times this year with friends and family. I’ll be looking into other hotels for my trip in January.

The room I had was a 10 minute walk from everything the fire alarm was beeping and they only came after a full day to fix it and then it started beeping again until the front desk told me to just take off the whole piece. The pool is set up with expensive cabanas and if you just want a regular lounge chair you won’t be by the pool but a courtyard 30 feet away, and no one is coming to serve you or get drink orders unless your in the cabana probably because of tips, overall it’s a very big hotel too big and is only there for the rich even tough for a regular room they charge 3-4 hundred dollars a night for nothing special if you want to go away and feel taken care of like you should on vacation go somewhere else

The staff were not very accommodating upon check out. Gave me a difficult time when disputing duplicate hotel charges. Also, the valet too extensive time to retrieve my car. Which resulting in me being late to my reservations both evenings.

The valet service was horrible checkout was at 11am. Me and wife checked out and was down in valet line, let's just say we got our car at 12:50. We watch several other people just walk out and receive there car. Valet staff were receiving special gifts.

I took this vacation to relax and rest. My first day eating from hotel food Got food Poison. I had neighbors who had party all night and security would do nothing because they choose to do what they want had no sleep. If I go on complain not a good time.

They were also dead spiders on the ceiling in the bathroom that we complained about that were not cleaned off before or after we complained about it first morning.

Poor customer service. Long lines for the clubs and bars. Bar prices are insane.

Presentation was nice, but operation was brutal. There was absolutely no signage that instructs new comers where to enter or exit the building which got me pulled over by police trying to just park once I found the hotel.

The hotel provided no instruction on checking in with a vehicle. It was a complete hassle to check in. Only broken English with staff trying to communicate. The pools were absolutely disgusting, the health department has been notified. Worst experience...

Nothing really. For the price of this Hotel, I could have done more in my vacation.

The pool area guard made us walk all the way around to enter a restaurant because he said that the DJ was here. So, because the DJ was there, we, the paying customer, had to walk all the way around and up and down stairs to go in to a restaurant.

This hotel is overrated and was by far a huge disappointment. I regret not having chosen the W, the Edition, or another hotel. Its cool to go to the lounge and/or go to LIV- but other than that is a complete waste of money to actually stay there.

I didn't like the fact that they gave us a room w a bad view during my bachelorette weekend and the fact that all they care about is ringing you card but they don't care about you.

It was very dirty an not very impressed With your serviceman your staff very poor service....hope your next customer gets treated better than I did. Good luck Jerry skidmore

Do not waste your money here...

It was nice being on the beach. The pool area is beautiful.

The rooms are dated. No recent upgrades. Cleanliness is questionable. Everything is super expensive on the property. $12 for a ginger ale, $10 for a bottle of water, and $30 for an alcoholic beverage on the beach. Doesn't make sense when you are supplied with the most generic soap, shampoo, and conditioner in your room. Nothing is beautiful in the actual hotel rooms. Only the amenities, restaurants, lobby, and pool areas are aesthetically Pleasing. I will not stay there ever again.

The beds were very uncomfortable making it hard for me to enjoy my stay there. with the money you pay for the hotel the beds should be comfortable, giving you an at home feeling. The suite rooms we were in smelled very old

The staff is unfriendly and rude. They constantly remind you of what you "can" or "cannot" do as if you are in an airport. They have an extremely poor customer service as a whole. I travel to Miami quite often and there are plenty of other 5-star hotels on Miami Beach that in my opinion have better customer service and are not filled with juvenile delinquent guests.

Disappointed

Pool and spa nicely designed

Got there and found there were nerds and lipstick on the carpet as well as a big wet mark. I called front desk to see if the room had been cleaned and they said they didn't known but they could connect me to house keeping to see if I could get someone to come clean it. I said "can't you do that" she just said would u like me to give you house keeping number or not. Then on Kayak it soecifically says on some options "no breakfast w this deal" so I picked the higher price option bc it did not say that. I get to hotel and they tell me Breakfast is not included. Then I try to go to spa and they charge me more money even after I showed them My Kayak reservstion says spa included. Later that night I come back to the room to find it was never cleaned. I wouldn't even have complained about any of this had I not paid over $400 for the one night I stayed here.

Over Priced and Rude Hotel Staff

This is an over priced hotel and all the hotel saff were rude and not welcoming . I won't be spending my money at this hotel again.

Beachfront property

Too crowded, no chairs available at pool, had to stand in line and wait for 45 minutes for chairs on beach, waited 2 hours for lunch to be delivered on beach, everything is way overpriced!

Maybe I expected too much

The hotel and beach are both beautiful. There are many choices of on-site restaurants and eateries. Our junior suite had a spectacular balcony/view.

Many of the staff that are in customer relations (i.e. The front desk) are abrupt, clearly uneducated and make a very poor first impression. The hotel was a mob-scene to the point where my husband and I couldn't find a spot in either the pools or hot tubs. Everytime my husband and I walked anywhere we were stopped several times by random hotel employees and asked to produce our room key (which is particularly odd seeing that the pool restaurant is open to the public and the beach is public). It was invasive and awkward. The spa didn't stock wash cloths, razors or cotton balls, and the spa was not picked up and refreshed regularly, leaving unkempt beds/showers as well as used towels lying around. Many other guests were low class, scantily clad, smokers. It felt like a Las Vegas hotel without the shows or the casinos...cost to park the car is $41 per day!

over priced and over rated

I liked the beds. They were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet in one of their dinning areas was great.

The pool service and the beach service was very very slow. They kept running out of towels on the beach. The service on the beach for food/drinks took way too long. The first room I checked in was dirty And the balcony door was broken and the bathroom door toilet holder and soap holder in the shower was broken. The carpet was stained and the room stunk. I called to report it and it took forever. I kept calling and waited for 3 hours for someone to come to the room and for me to switch rooms. Then the other room safe was had to be reset and the radio iPod dock was not working. Had to report it. The balconies did not have a light outside which was very dark. And the balconies were so close together. A lot of the food and drinks in the hotel was over priced. It took more than a day to speak to a manager. I went to the dinner at the steak place and the service was slow and waitress was rude. In addition, 50 cents was to be at the pool party on Saturday there and he didn't show up.

Horrible!

The people staying at the hotel were loud and obnoxious: the hotel us really gone downhill in the last couple years. It used to be fantastic to stay at. The service was horrible and staff were rude. Good was overpriced. They served me a drink that had a piece of moldy fruit on it. Some staff spoke very little English and it was difficult to communicate with them. On the final day, I was rudely awakened by housekeeping banging on the door demanding to know what time we would be leaving...this was hours before checkout time.

Needs better management

Fontainebleau is a legendary hotel.. Worth the stay if you've never been there before.

Staff is rude. Check-out at 11am and in at 4pm, really? They handle too many guests and dont have enough facilities. Everything includes an 18% service charge not worth the service quality, plus staff asks for extra tips. There's a resort fee, which includes nothing but wi-fi.

Everything including beach umbrellas is additional. Out to nickel and dime customers for everything. Food insanely expensive - on par with St.regis and ritz but half the service. Poor hotel given the service and quality - would rather stay at a ritz or JW or Setai

Let down

Great looking complex, beautiful architecture.

Late check in - 3:45 pm Early check out- staff started banging the door at 9am, opened the door and walked into the bedroom although the "sleepy"/do not disturbe sign was on the outside of the door knob. No toothbrush/toothpaste in the bathroom. Master bedroom had a moist scent. Shower head and bathroom faucets were oxydized, looked like they werent cleaned in a long time. Felt under pressure to check out every hour.
