omgeving
beetje viezige/oude spa/sauna. Hotel aan de oude kant. krakende vloeren. In kamer 510 slechts enkel glas waardoor rumoerige straat s'nachts zeer hoorbaar
Het bedienend personeel was vriendelijk en de kamer was van voldoende omvang.
Het raam van de kamer ging nier open en de airco koelde onvoldoende en maakte te veel herrie
Het is een groot hotel in de hoofdstraat van het oude centrum.Goed verzorgd.
Ligging is perfect tov het centrum
Kamers waren oud, beetje vervallen. 2-persoonsbed was erg smal en badkamer was krap. Bij het ontbijt was weinig keus en de producten waren niet vers. Voor een 4* hotel en voor 100 GBP/nacht vonden we dit echt een teleurstelling.

Good location
Bar prices changed depending on staff. Confusion at reception. Poor organisation regarding food, chief not supported by management
Great value good location
Staff were lovely location great, no car park but you can park in train station car park with 20% off bit of a walk though. Close to royal mile and amenities
Only downside was always a queue to check in or out as only 2 at desk
The hilton
Room very quiet. Lication to train station
Shower was dirty Bar staff over worked Desk lady was surley. Restaurant very expensive for quality of food
Not good value.
Hilton are our Hotel Group of choice. I just thought this one to be overly expensive probably only justifying itself because of its proximity to the Old Town and the Royal Mile. The bedroom and bathroom were small and the rest of the hotel just felt like an apartment building. There was no real old-world warmth. As you would expect the staff were very friendly and helpful. My final gripe was that the parking was public and some distance away down a hill and some very steep steps. This,I concede however,is probably the case with most Edinburgh hotels.
The price and the lack of old-world charm.
Great Location!!!
Location was great. Restaurant has a great breakfast buffet. Staff was accommodating. Pool and spa area was nice.
Thought the spa men's room can be tidied up and cleaned better.
Needs updating
The staff at the reception and in the bar were very friendly and informative and the hotel is in a great location.
Everything seemed tired and needed updating. The AC in the room was broken. There was no iron in the room, which is something I have never heard of in a 4* hotel. The bathroom door would open onto the toilet. There was no conditioner in the room. The towels felt and looked very well used & we encounter a very rude waitress while having breakfast on Sunday. Also, a man was assaulting a woman in the reception area and it took hotel guests to break it up before the staff did.
Excellent location right by Edinburgh Waverley and the Royal Mile. Staff were courteous and attentive. We booked a twin (I was staying with my brother), but the booking was registered as a double (through kayak/booking.com), but they sorted it quickly and efficiently.
Hotel rooms are quite warm and air con is ineffective.
Location was excellent. Prices were reasonable
My room was small and stuffy. I'm not going to complain about lack of A/C as this was in Edinburgh, but my tiny room had no circulation and was warmer than the ambient temperature. I found it difficult to sleep at night until I requested and received a fan. Unfortunately, the first night after getting the fan some idiot set off the fire alarm at 0300 and I had to get up at 0500.
Central location for shops and restaurants
Noise from street - not really fault of hotel. Very drafty windows - needs double glazing/draft excluders
location
housekeeping poor. On both nights of my stay i had to request towels for the room, on 2nd day there were no towels at all.
Although this was a brief trip the standard of room, staff and facilities were excellent.
Room was a bit noisy from traffic outside
Exellent location
Parking was my only issue and i thought the bar prices were expensive for the quality of the drinks but there are better bars within walking distance so not a major issue.
close to train station and night life
too expensive, not very clean, nothing extra (e.g. bathrobes, slippers etc)
