Location perfect for all sites. Front Desk staff e exceptional. Doorman very helpful and friendly.

It was the perfect stay,...
It was very quiet; a huge plus for a weekend stay in a large city. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the sitting area was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our only disappointment was that the bar wasn't open due to Covid; which was unavoidable, but we love the bar there and love to visit whenever we visit.
Nothing.
Exceptional
The location is great. The counter, Jeff, is really friendly and helpful.
We don't have paper cups for the coffee machine in our room.
OK
Location and price. it was historic area
that they did supply new towels each day, just hung on shower rod
this OMNI is absolutely one of the BEST hotels we have stayed in, and we travel often. The front desk were absolutely great people. Place is BEAUTIFUL, and its in a PERFECT location. Place is immaculate, so clean, and so comfortable...Y
Omni
It was so cute and vintage. Very old looking but elegant. Love this hotel go back
I just didn’t like that theirs no pool and with Covid theres a lot of restrictions nothing was open. No champagne or room service which sucked.
Great
Bar and restaurants closed
Superb
Beautiful, clean, close to everything
Very thin walls. We could hear our neighbors just talking. Bathroom was very small.
A great end to 2020
The bed was comfortable and location was great.
Good
Friendly and courteous staff.
Parking was slightly complicated but staff made it better.
Stay was commensurate with times
Have stayed previously. Good Location for N. End activities (if any).
No advance notice of zero food services at property. Very Low occupancy but placed next to loud group. Despite low occupancy no offer of an upgrade.
Everyone was very professional and...
Everything! It was wonderful. We are definitely returning to the Omni Parker House.

The room was clean and location was great. Unfortunately the restaurant and such were closed due to Covid so we werent able to use the amenities.
Staff was over the top caring - went the extra mile for my wife's birthday. Great location for Washington Street shopping and walking distance to North End and Quincy Market. Fifth or sixth stay. Favorite in Boston. Thanks guys!.

Enjoyed staying at a classic hotel. Ivy was stunning. Sad the restaurants were closed, I was so looking forward to a Parker house roll and Boston Cream. Will be back for that. Very walkable to everything.
The room was dark.
Solid Hotel, not amazing on...
Hotel Location was excellent. Décor - a little dated. Bed - Awesome! Thanks
Restaurants closed, Carpets throughout, a little dated. Bathroom - average, Older

We did not know the restaurant and bar and room service was not available
Great stay, good location, awesome...
Hotel was in a good location. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
The room was pretty small, could have been a little bigger- especially the bathroom.
Super comfy beds; great location; luxurious decor
Had to run hot water on full blast for 10 minutes before it was warm enough for a shower! No fridge or microwave in room.
Exceptional
Really equipped gym and really historical place
Have stayed there several times...

Great stay in historic downtown...

beautiful historic hotel, location could not be better
Well, its a historic hotel, the rooms are a little small. BUT FINE. really really good.
rooms and service were excellant
location and room
state and city taxes were excessive.
Great location. Room had a old-fashioned vibe, but with modern amenities. Pleasant stay!
The sink backed up if you let the water run for too long, but went down fairly quickly once the water was turned off.

centrally located near all of Boston's must-see and do attractions, great value for the money

The hotel itself was very cool. Probably the best parts about it were the bar on the main floor (lots of great cocktails and snacks, open pretty late), and the location (right in the Financial District, close to both Faneuil Hall and Boston Common).
The room (double bed room) we were in was VERY small. It was advertised to be able to accommodate 2 people, but it would've been much more comfortable for only 1 person. The bed was basically a glorified twin, and the bathroom was pretty cramped as well. Not necessarily worth the amount we spent.

Room and facilities were excellent. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very professional, everyone was helpful and polite. Perfect location for us. Loved hanging out at the Last Hurrah (I think that was it's name) and visiting the King's Chapel across the street. Great value for the price.
Valet parking was a little stressful as we had to block School St. for a couple of minutes to find the valet and I'm not from Boston so not used to have people honk and yell at me. Wish I had thicker skin and there was a better way to handle the parking but it is Boston...Also, we left a cord to our coffee maker in our room. I called the next day and the staff was great and found it for us but the shipping service I was directed to was going to charge $32 to send a 2ft. cord ($8 value) to NH. I understand it is a separate service, not the hotels fault.
Location was very convenient!
The pull out bed was very uncomfortable, and the couch it folded into was ripped and awkward.
Very pleasant staff and lovely room.
No microwave or fridge in the room.
Staff was wonderful, helpful and respectful.
The rooms were a bit small but that’s to be expected from a hotel with so much history
Loved the full sized soaking tub and the option of ordering breakfast to go as we were there for an event. The staff were all absolutely amazing and very welcoming to the multitude of nerds who took over their hotel for the weekend
Parking in the area is almost impossible but that's Boston for you. The size of the room for the cost seemed a little steep as well but again that's Boston for you especially historic and harbor area.
Beds were very comfy
There could have been more outlets
Queen sized bed would be nice

Needs updating
Location
Historic but old property. Amenities limited
Was charged multiple times for the same room, and customer service was rude. I was told to expect a refund “eventually“, and then hung up on.
The location
Rooms are very old
The location was great it was clean and the gentlemen at the reception desk was amazing. Location within the city was great. Wish I had had more time there.
Breakfast was a little expensive for what was ordered.
very comfy - great location and staff was superb
wifi situation unclear
It’s close proximity to Fanuiel hall
Loved the lobby and free upgrade from a full to king size bed. Perfect location - can walk everywhere. Free bottled water. There's a parking garage around the block which saved us money.
The rooms are on the small side and need some upgrading. The shower soaked the floor and was slippery. Poor view out the windows. They asked for $150 per day for a pet...more than the cost of the room.
The character of the old building and the location.
The shower could have been cleaned a little better, but the rest of the room seemed well cleaned.
Good location.
Tiny room. Could barely maneuver around the bed. Could use a renovation. Stayed here because I heard it was the best hotels in Boston, but it’s obviously seen better days.
Excellent hotel. Very historic. Wonderful staff!
Always a pleasure to stay great staff
Love everything about this hotel, staff are so friendly. Room spotless, super location too. We always stay here when visiting Boston & we will be back!
The food in the dining room is excellent. We also went to a highly rated restaurant and the food wasn’t nearly as good.
The lobby decor
Nothing
Comfortable room and bed. Staff was a delight - they were gracious and helpful with quick answers. Bartender was attentive and accommodating. Would return next year for same event.
Bathroom was TINY! Tad awkward to need to close the door to get enough space to move about in bathroom. I will never complain about my bathroom at home ever again! Wonder if pocket door would be more beneficial for this space.
We had a deluxe king room, which was enormous. Beautifully appointed with desk, sofa, chairs, coffee table, tv, etc. One of the best hotel rooms ever. We were able to walk to the Colonial Theater, walk to Blu restaurant, and return to the hotel on brightly lit streets. It was truly wonderful from the friendly valet to the desk staff welcoming us to this treasure. Love this hotel. Highly recommend, especially for a romantic get-away.
Location is central to all. Everyone was friendly and service was excellent.
Lobby and hallways smelled like mothballs. Funky grout in shower. Too pricey for mid-week in February.
It’s a beautiful historic property with a lot to offer based on lication
The fan in the bathroom doesn’t work so the ceiling is peaking and fixtures are rusted. There were also lots of foreign travelers that think the hallway is a good place to have a fight and walk crying infants
Old charm hotel, dead smack in the middle of downtown in the Freedom Trail, 5 minutes walk from Faneuil Hall, excellent courteous staff and comfy rooms.
Thin walls, could hear a person sneezing 10 rooms down. To be expected in an old building though.
House keeping never showed up.trash in the hallway was never removed
The Concierge was really helpful with planing activities.
I had a really hard time getting in the door with my large case and up the stairs into the hotel. It was a bad start to my visit and my first impression was that the hotel was old and shabby in the main lobby and unfriendly check in staff.
Great location
The hotel charge 75$ per night for incidental causes just incase they told that it is refundable. Yes it is but it takes almost a month to get it back If I have been informed about the policy I would have never booked the room cause now I have to pay that fee that I did not responsible of till they give the amount back to my credit card!!!!
The location and that it is historic and the staff are very attentive
Nothing
Very nice room and clean and comfy
The fire alarm went off which was inconvenient
A most unexpectedly charming hotel - I never realised the history behind it until I was there. Very centrally located. I booked a petite single room and it was that, but perfectly clean and ideal for my overnight stay. Some very lovely almost antique additions to the room made it quite unique as a hotel venue. I would recommend it as somewhere a little out of the ordinary from your typical sterile corporate hotel. P.s. the bar/bistro was lovely. I only regretted we never found it the first night. I had a really lovely glass of local red wine and sliders there.
I loved how well maintained this historic hotel was kept. The lobby was absolutely breathtaking. My room was cozy and the bed was very very comfortable.

Location, coziness, comfort, friendly helpful staff, value. Our favorite in Boston
Dinner at Parker’s was wonderful; great staff, delicious food and the room is beautiful.
The room was dated and a bit shabby (peeling ceiling in the bath which was tiny). Bed was comfortable but the room was gloomy as are the halls. The feeling that it has seen better days was pervasive.
The location, the history, the facilities.

Everything was PERFECT!
was a great location to many things we walked to all of them
The Tub in our room was very slippery went to take a shower and slipped and fell and broke a couple of ribs. Then I found the rubber mat for the tub on the top shelve in the corner over the toilet rolled up not near the tub. should have been on the tub edge. live and learn
Love it’s history and location
Some aspects are a little dated feeling
Classic old hotel with great history. Great location.
Extra charges for taxes, parking, food.
Located near everything. Excellent staff fast and friendly.
Tub would not stop up and parking was a bit expensive.
Fantastic location
Very small bathroom
Great location for all sightseeing!
Nothing
I hate it when hotels smell and I cannot sleep when they do. This hotel didn't smell at all, bed was really comfy and the lobby was beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay there.
They charged a deposit to my account and did not tell me about it. They returned it afterwards.
Location
I am writing this review to complain about the incredibly rude customer service. I was staying at Omni Parker for one night and was going to be charged $135. I checked in, my room was okay but there was a pubic hair from the last guest in the bathtub (pretty gross) and you can hear everything from the hall and adjacent room in my bedroom. Since this an old building, I was not shocked, but still. However, when I checked my bank account after staying, I noticed my card was charged $210 at check in and $135 at check out. No one at the front desk ever said that I would be charged more than double the room cost. When I called, I was told I would be refunded the difference. But that doesn't make sense, if I am refunded $75 (the difference) then I am paying $270 for a room that I was told, and that the check out bill stated, was $135. I asked about this on the phone and the agent then said I would be refunded $210. But I don't know what to believe. She also hung up on me abruptly before the conversation was over and insisted that I had been told at the front desk that I would be charged more than double. This exchange was shockingly rude and, combined with the gross pubic hair in the questionably clean bathtub, has convinced met that this is never someplace I will stay again.
The oldest continually operating hotel in the USA. It that old school charm. The bed was extremely comfy
The room though was in need of a bit of a refresh. Was looking tired. It had everything we needed though.
Location
Room was very dated. Bathroom was so small you literally had to shove the door closed. Toilet prevented the door from closing with ease. Bathroom was also very dusty, like room had not been touched for weeks.
The bed was amazing and sooo comfortable! Everything was fantastic and the history of the hotel is fascinating.
great, i had room service
a bit dated
Great location
Party on the same floor we wer on was very loud
Conveniently located in downtown Boston. Close to North End - 10 minute Uber
Nothing, we loved it!
Great Location
Nothing to complain about :)

Location is good. Bed was comfortable.
It's a 4 star hotel and they cannot even provide complementary water. Also, they ignore me during breakfast, while they accomodate other guest, dissapointing.
Classic Old Hotel with Great History .
History
Beautiful, ornate lobby. Very historic. Great location. Good view. Very clean.
The guest rooms are very small, including the bathroom, difficult to navigate room after all your belongings are in it. Need to update mattresses and install more electrical outlets. Walls are thin.
Very impressed with this hotel. A nice historic place to stay right in the heart of Boston. The staff were wonderful from booking right the way to check out. Every request was actioned promptly and staff couldn't have tried to help more in every aspect. We stayed in the Freedom Trail Suite whilst we also had the room next door. The suite was huge - loads of space (although I don't understand why the bunk beds area didn't have doors on it - would be easy to do). All beds were very comfortable (a little high to get into maybe :) ) and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The bathroom was small and the suite could have done with a second toilet. The biggest disappointment for me however was the view from the window as there wasn't one at all. Two windows were completely obscured with an air conditioning unit and the other small window looked straight at a ventilation duct and a brick wall. There was barely enough light to see if it was night or day, you could not tell what the weather was doing and as for a view, forget it. This was a major downer for me considering the cost of the hotel. These small points stop me from giving it a 10/10 rating along with the fact the food at the hotel was VERY expensive - $26 for a breakfast is too much. If one of our party hadn't had mobility difficulties, then we would have not eaten here due to the cost.
A view from the window would be nice.
Very comfy beds
A bit dated
Hotel is tired. Lobby is nice but rooms need upgrades and renovations.
Bed was super nice and comfy. The heater in the room was great.
I have to pay for the use of Wi-Fi and water (as I never read in detail) The hairdryer was not dirty, just that there are alot of white stuff are stacked on the net.
I did not have breakfast at the hotel. I did have lunch in Parkers bar, food was good ,service adequate. I also had dinner in the restaurant, food was excellent, service was excellent, price was high.
the bathroom in my room was very small, but it was immaculate.
We loved the Historic feel. Our rooms were great.
Nice style. Old and classy and clean.
Rooms were a bit small and no personal fridge or freezer.
Proximity to attractions. Large room. Friendliness of staff
Lack of area to enjoy our coffee and hot cocoa purchased in the starbucks located in the hotel
History and staff
Great location..attentive staff..breakfast
Parking is exoensive
Great location, wonderful staff. Nice bars on premise.
My room was clean and comfortable...but small
History & old time character - fits the Old Boston neighborhood
Rooms a bit small - mine & some others i caught a quick look at when passing by...
Location
Worn hotel.Charged extra $20 hotel fee and $50 valet parking. No water/coffee provided in room. Not 4 star.
The location of the hotel was great also the staff was great.
Nope
The bed I slept like a baby
No
Location, and ambiance.
Size of room. But it is understandable given the age of the hotel.
This is my 3rd time staying @ the Parker House. I will never stay anywhere else in Boston. Outstanding location, great staff & accommodating. There are newer hotels but this is old school cool. 2 great bars on site & strangers can share the big tables.
Beds are smaller than newer hotels but the linens were 5 star
The ambiance of this hotel cannot be matched. It was classic but yet not at the price of giving up any amenities.
The hotel location is located at the beginning of the Freedom Trail.
Not knowing where to drop off the car when arriving at the Hotel. I had to call to get that information.
The character: classy, elegant, attention to detail in design. The location is also a huge factor: Central to just about anything you want to do in downtown.
many of the basic tv channels were fuzzy
Was given a full size bed. Not big enough for two adults.
Size of room
Staff and location were both excellent.
We had to request 3 different sets of keys and ultimately none of them worked, so we had to be let in by security each time we entered. There was also no option to just use the fan portion of the air, you either had to have the ac or the heat on.
Location
Small room. Small bed. Extra charges on bill
The hotel has a wonderful staff and is in the best location, in the heart of Boston. Book it for that reason!
The rooms are very tiny. It was difficult for my husband and to both move in the same room. It is not the hotel's fault. It is an old hotel.
The location is pretty central.
The rooms are like shoe boxes, seriously it’s difficult to move around in them. There was no vanity in the bathroom, no refrigerator, a full bed and there was still no room to move around.
The bed was super comfortable and the room was very cozy, clean, and quiet. The hotel is beautiful and so full of history. The two bars are both excellent. I love the location, being directly between old town and Boston Common. I couldn't ask for a better first stay in Boston.
No easy to use staircase. Had to take elevator from the second floor.
Location was nice. Wood work in the lobby also nice.
Terrible beds. Dirty carpets.
It's located within walking distance to most of the stuff that my wife and I were interested in and we stayed here a few times in the past.
About the only thing that we didn't like and it's not about the hotel was parking in front to register.....there's only a few spaces there and at the time they were all filled so we had to drive around the block...which in not easy in Boston.
Convenient location, beautiful lobby and a very nice pub “The Last Hurrahâ€. The staff was accommodating, even though they were having a problem with the keys.
The server at the pub seemed not to be having a good day. Hopefully that is a rarity.
Location is absolutely the best you will get in Boston. Almost the very start of the Freedom Trail and walking distance to literally everything. Simply a block or two to whatever you want. Will stay there from now on.
Parking is very difficult/expensive. I tried to check in at 4:30 on Friday. Huge mistake. No pull-up check-in parking. Think of a work around on that, the Hotel is worth it.
location and price
bathroom cabinet rusty
Hotel employee by was magnificent!
Bathtub has peeling framework and paint
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The bar restaurant was great food and funky drinks.
Hotel employee at check-in was terrific!
Parker House is always a good visit!
Beautifully kept older hotel with 3 great eating and drinking options inside. Great find. Location is outstanding. Very close to T, downtown, seaport, waterfront, Faneuil Hall, North End. All 15 minutes walk or less. Large rooms, natural light.
Bathroom was a little small but wouldn't stop me from coming back. Great place.
Such a grand hotel. We loved it.
The location of the hotel is great for getting around town.
The hotel is very dated and the room was so tiny it was difficult maneuvering around. There are none of the amenities (like charging plugs) that are standard for hotel rooms.
Lobby history and location
When I check in at 8pm in a regular Saturday, they told don't have double bed room I booked, I only can take a small room with one full/queen bed and a roller small bed, and it's barely fit in the room. Indeed, they offer you cancel without penalty! THX!
It was clean and the location is good.
The noise level was unbearable. I think there was some kind of construction across the street. I was up all night. In addition there was a $20 hotel fee that was not apparent until after booking. People need to know this upfront!
Location is great.
Rooms are small.
In the downtown area
People vacuming at all hours of the night Could hear the tv next door blaring through the wall We booked a queen bed room and it seemed as if the bed was a full there was no way it was a queen so we paid more for something we didn't get
Central of downtown, very convenient and elegant, also you can taste the Boston cream cake in the restaurant in hotel.
The hotel is quite old with some rusty bathroom vanity.
LOCATION
MANY THINGS, THE BED NOT GOOD, WE CANNOT REST.
Breakfast was not the best.
Bar closed early and they need new blow dryers. The staff was great!!!
Nothing.
Sucked.
Location
YES. They stuck a $20 room fee on top of the price that was quoted. I buy rooms all the time on here and elsewhere and have NEVER had this happen. Seems to me like a junk fee they charge just to make some more money. I will not stay here again.
Excellent location, historical charm, top notch staff
Room and bathroom were very small and there was a major lack of outlets!
Historic nature of building and location
Ironically, historic nature makes for small rooms, a few less amenities.
Nothing. Not even the location, which can be had at better hotels for better prices in the area.
Poor experience, old over priced hotel and ridiculously small rooms with terrible air conditioning, poor service and thin walls with extremely old televisions.
NOTHING
IT S OLD,MY ROOM TOO SMALL LIKE HOLE...IWAS IN MOTELS BETTER THAN THIS HOTEL 4 STAR????????
Location was what we wanted. Freedom trail. Room was clean. Small. We got a 3:15 am wake up call that we had NOT requested. I had trouble getting back to sleep. Kinda dragging that day. Boston creame pie was most excellent!
Location. Bathroom had no place to put anything on. Had to use toilet seat for shaving bag.
The extra charge. I paid for the room in advance and then the hotel charged me $20 at check out. I would of not stayed there if I knew that. That is wrong. That is stealing. I would of stayed somewhere for less money. This is a scamme. I am pissed.
location and the fact that it had a noce bedroom decor
room was too small
It's old world character and great staff.
It is in a great location, within a block of some Freedom Trail sites. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The room required me to carry bags up a half flight of stairs after taking the elevator to our floor. Not a big deal for me, but definitely something to ask about if you have difficulty with stairs, small kids or whatever.
Staff was very helpful and friendly
The location was excellent
The room was too small. Went with friend and wanted two beds and couldnt get it.
Location
The room was small for the star rating. The bathroom was also small.
Location
No
The location is excellent
We got rooms in the 14th floor, in from of the elevators and stairs that lead to a terrace. The crowds going down where noisy, specially late at night, resulting in sleep disturbances
Staff
Room is tiny.no fridge in the room! Plus bathroom is tiny..not worthy of fourstars
The lobby and location are amazing
$53 plus a $17 daily fee for parking. $149 to park a car for 31 hours was a little much.
Location/Restaurant/Bar. Staff was great. Housekeeping was great
Older hotel. Had an old smell to it. Took a while to get use to it
The location was excellent! Seriously the perfect location.
It was not worth the amount of money that we paid for it. The room was TINY and the bathtub was chipped and not super clean. The pictures on the website made the room look so much bigger and newer and cleaner. We were not super impressed.
I had a very quiet room, which I requested. Was very tired, light sleeper. Got a very quiet room.
I spent 20 minutes with an outside source trying to get an internet connection. Very annoying since I was very tired. Time to wash up? No soap on the sink or tub. Looking forward to a cup of coffee in the am. Followed instructions and didn't work.
Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Boston
no
It was close to everything we wanted to see.
No parking. Had to pay for valet or self park in a garage. Tiny room. Unfriendly staff. Just not what we like.
Its a very classy hotel. Vintage motif
Parking $53/day. Typical Boston tho
Honestly, nothing. It was perfect!
Good location and nice staff.
Didn’t feel this was a 4 star, more like 3. Very old hotel with small rooms and dated furniture and accessories. Had room service and was ok but nothing special.
Great location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was very knowledgeable and offered many suggestions as what to do and where to eat.
Small bathrooms but the rooms were very clean
People were very nice. The hotel itself is spectacular and right in the middle of everything.
Beds are clean
Ãnsufficient wall on the bathroom
Location and hospitality
Convenient location
Walls were paper thin. I heard more about my neighbors than I had care to admit. Might as well have rented a porn movie. Highly disappointed in the quality of sleep I got because the walls were SO thin.
The location was perfect, close to all the main sites and yet still quite. There wasn't a lot of street noise.
I believe this was suppose to have been a 4 star, so would've been nice if there was at least a mini fridge in the room. I think it was available but only by request and for $15.
I love old historic hotels and the Omni Parker House was filled with history!
I did not like that there was no parking. The valet was very expensive.
Loved the decor!!! Excellant location and friendly, helpful staff
Nothing
Excellent service great location
Elevators took forever
Location location location
This hotel gets so many good reviews because of location. Other than that it is not clean, very outdated, bathtub all chipped, seriously very dirty I found a spot of blood in my bathtub so they gave me free breakfast cups plates dirty.
The service and the staffers
Location
The front desk staff was not accomodating. The rooms and beds are too small.
Location.
No fridge/microwave.
The ambiance and the location was perfect
Tub was a bit chipped and tub drain was broken
Location is great. Close to everything. Don''t forget about having a slice of Boston Creme pie. So yummy.
Room was small but expected considering the historical nature of the hotel. Still a great hotel if you appreciate history.
The location is right on the Freedom Trail.
We visited a local brewery and purchased cans of beer to bring back home with us. We were stopped in the lobby and told we had to check it due to state law. It feels like a scam to get you to purchase overpriced drinks in the hotel bar.
the staff was awesome
the room and bed was super small
location
time of room service, was not done by 4pm
Hotel had a great location and friendly staff. It was nice and historic.
The lack of outlets was prominent. Room was next to elevator/next to ballroom, very loud. Could hear neighbors speak and phone ring at all hours. Noise issues for sure! Hotel messed up our reservations. Room service limited hours.
Great location and all staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable.
Bathroom was small and there was little storage for toiletries or to hang towels for 3 guests. There was some mold under the soap holder so a really thorough cleaning would have helped but daily cleaning was good. No comfy place to sit.
Lobby is great but room is tiny.
No free WiFi . Paid 20 $ for two days for it.
The hotel was quiet. The bar and restaurant were nice.
The room was very small, but it is an older hotel in downtown Boston.
Location was great for being near the Boston Commons
We got a room with a full size bed and the room was not much bigger than the bed. It felt like a closet. Paid to upgrade to a room with a king bed. That room was bigger, but still on the small size. The hotel did not feel like a 4 star hotel.
Staff are friendly and attentive. Good location.
Fitness center is not open 24hr.
We dont like it at all...
It feels like a 2 star hotel...
pk small rooms
NO
WHAT I LIKE BEST IS THE CLEANLINESS, DECOR, ROOM AND ROOM SERVICE, STAFF, HOTEL IS LOVELY.
I DID NOT LIKE THE LOCATION. THERE IS NO PLACE TO PARK AND NO GARAGE ON THE HOTEL PREMISES. I PAID $300 TO PARK IN A GARAGE FOR ONE WEEK.
Five dollars for tea which waa a Teinings teabag-come on
None
I specified Boston Harbor/waterfront; this location decidedly not. I will never use your mystery hotel option again, burned in both NYC and Boston. Old, ugly rooms. Hideous decor. Bad location. View of building 10 feet away.
Arrived before check in and staff was great trying to get me into room. Location is great.
Location
Room size and the beds too small.
The location was great.
I was very disappointed it did not have a pool.
Location was good. Pretty hotel.
No wi-fi, walls were very thin and cleaning staff was loud in the hallways- they woke us up both days. Besides the women behind the counter, no other staff smiled... literally. The bellhop, valet, restaurant staff, etc. They all looked miserable. Very strange.
It looked nice in appearance
The front desk did not do as professionally as he could have. I waited interacted with him for almost 30 minutes before he finally checked me in.
Beautiful historic hotel in a fabulous location
This hotel was stunning! We were instantly greeted by professional and friendly valet and escorted into the lobby, which is breathtaking. The history alone is what motivated us to book our stay, but the service, decor, location, and comfort of the bed is what will make us stay here again and again in the future.
The rooms and bathroom are very small, but the comfort and decor make up for the small spaces.
Expensive. Small rooms.
4 stars..... a joke!
The history of the place and the location
Superior rooms are old, small, no safe, no fridge, no water in the room, terrible isolation....and the place is worn out... not worth 3 stars at European standard! A rip off!
The staff were awesome What a wonderful stay at such an historic hotel
No free breakfast
Historic hote, in good location.
First hotel I have stayed in where elevators were something I discussed. as in "waiting 15 minutes in line to get on an elevator".
Kayak screwed up
When we arrived the hotel was sold out and did not go or our "guaranteed reservation" for a double room. We were instead offered a full size bed and a cot for the same rate even though the room sells for $50 less. Spent most of our night on the phone with Kayak who didn't care. Says it's non refundable yet how they can say it's a guaranteed reservation when clearly it's a maybe!
Horrible customer service by hotel manager and kayak. Hotel didn't offer to call around or find other accommodations for us.
Had to move rooms 3, almost 4, times. The whole situation was handled very poorly until we finally were helped by a manager. Just wish it did not have to get that far... Overall, the hotel is extremely outdated, struggled to control the temperature in the room and the walls were so thin we heard a screaming child all night. Images online are extremely deceiving and lead to a disappointing experience as a whole.
Although small, the room was comfortable and the shower quite lovely. Plenty of hot water in the morning. A blizzard was expected so I decided to check out a day early, and this was hassle free. I did not ask for the name of the person who helped me with the checkout, but she was very polite and extremely helpful. The door man and valet folks were quick to bring my car and wish me a safe journey. Overall a very pleasant stay and I was able to accomplish that which I was in town for.
I found sleep very difficult due to the noise level throughout the first night of my stay, which was a Tuesday. Many drunk people coming to rooms late very loud in the hallway and then one couple in the room next to mine arguing until approximately 4am.
Great location. Great Staff & Service. So much His
This hotel for the amount I paid was really above my expectations in terms of service. Location is very central to the historic district, entertainment, food shopping. The hotel itself has a rich history and great to wonder through it. Would stay here again.
Old Building - Outdated Room
Nice Location
Room was tiny, outdated decorations, you spend hundreds on a room and they want to charge you $10 day for internet. Stay somewhere else !
Location is fantastic--easy walking distance to all the places of interest. Hotel is itself a historical landmark.
Room was rather small, no free wifi.
Location.
Needs to be renovated badly
Rooms small. Views terrible. Bathroom really small. If you can, select another hotel.
Small. Needs renovations
Old hotel well kept and clean but small room and b
Location was close to most points of interest in downtown/waterfront Boston. Large lobby and helpful staff. Clean.
Would rather have traded nice large entrance and lobby area for a better room size and traded the standard (double) bed for a queen size. Price for what we received was a little on the expensive side. Hotel claims to be 4 star but it doesn't quite make that level. WiFi should have been included as is becoming standard at hotels of this level
First Class Hotel
Not a detail was missed. Truly a 5-star experience!
Great location
Samantha was great as we were checking in. We were a little early for check in so she said the hotel would hold our bags while we toured the city. She came through on the promise of a room with a better view. So happy with the room that over looked Kings Chapel and Old City Hall. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, easy walking distance to anything. Beds were comfortable.
Room was a little small but wont stop me from staying again. No free WiFi.
Good location and restaurant and bar
The staff at the back hotel bar was friendly, excellent and accommodating when the kitchen was about to close in 5 minutes. He even offered to get Guinness on tap from the front bar the Last Hurray. Rooms were clean and they were able to accommodate us with a better view. Bed is comfortable and linens are nice thread count. Decor is classic, wood paneled, gold, red and mustard yellow-- and reminded us of Stephen King's The Shining (where the film was made).
Wifi is not included if you book through a third party-- they should change this policy as a courtesy. Drainage in tub was a little slow but this is true of most Boston older buildings.
The historic beauty of the lobby.
Desire queen sized beds. The maid inadvertently picked up my husband's tuxedo shirt when changing the bed linen. Although we reported the loss, no one has contacted us since about ever finding it? A disappointed guest :+(
A friend of mine who lives locally was surprised I booked their since she said it is really "old". She was right. Main lobby carpet needs replacing. Stepped inside the "fine" dining restaurant and noticed a musty smell associated with "old" carpets and drapes.
Good stay
The location was perfect; the freedoms trail was literally right across the street & there's a nice park that takes 5 minutes to get to. Staff was very friendly, shout out to Pedro the valet, dude told me all the places to check out while I was there and they were all great suggestions.
The room was pretty small and the elevators scared my girlfriend (2 of the 4 made her paranoid because they were loud and a little shaky). Unless you're a frequent guest or part of some rewards program you have to pay for wi-fi which is pretty lame. No vending machines which seems to be because they want you to take from the mini bar where a snickers bar was around 10 dollars. Luckily there are 2 7-11's that's take 30 seconds to walk to right next to the hotel.
Great location because it's across the street from my corp office. Was clean. As a general rule, I usually enjoy this hotel, stay here often.
1. They couldn't find my reservation when I checked in. I then said that I booked on Kayak.com. They kept looking so I had to find the reservation online and, turns out, the reservation was made through Booking.com. Only then could they find my reservation. Desk clerk seemed like he was on Prozac. Also, I booked a Standard room and I'm pretty sure I got a Petite room because it was about the size of my walk-in closet at home.
Not worth it
The staff was very nice.
Room was dirty, event in ball room was so loud we couldnt sleep until after midnight.
Free wifi , wide entrance for car parking
I liked the location of the hotel in which we were able to walk everywhere.
I didn't like the corner room a long way from the elevator.
The location is great. Very convenient and excellent service.
Automated checkout
The hotel retains its historic style and decor
Lovely hotel, centrally located. Interesting history.
Small bathroom with little room to turn around or store personal items.
Very good, central location. Older, but nice comfortable rooms. The plan we got was a very good value for Boston.
Would have been nice to have a view but at the price, it was fine. A bit of street noise (4th floor) but we are in the city, should expect some of that.
Location, quiet, clean
Rooms a bit small.
